Handy laser non color printer for heavy work.

Review of LaserJet Tank 2604sdw.
The LaserJet Tank is a multifunction printer allowing to Print, Scan, Copy and connect wireless. Its print in letter size put to 23 ppm, automatic duplex printing. It has automatically on/off based on the usage, and long list of feature via HP Smart App.
As per manufacturing specification it print up to 5,0000 monochrome pages.

Its actual setting and connecting to the network wirelessly or wired is quite standard closed to most commonly used in the market.
Printing from the mobile phone is quite simple as well. Upon selection of the document, from the phone itself can detect automatically the new printer, and allowing to select and print without major or to none of hassle.
The functionalities are packed and centered in the Smart App, and that is good. However, it feels bit overwhelmed as in order to find some specific functionality need to navigate around or it takes bit of long time to know each of functions. As result during scanning or printing takes some moment to find where to change some of common setting previous to actual print or scanning.
One of few cool thing to note, is for instance from the tablet, can control what to scan and saved directed in the same tablet.
However, I couldn’t find a way to set such that if I scan, store it in a specific cloud storage. Not sure if I need to drill into further functionalities for such function.
Then as one thing that surface immediately is the noise while scanning to print. It does quite noticeable noise as if a big empty plastic box has a engine inside and moving alone.
Aside of above description, I find it practical and suitable for small office or at home that need heavy non color printing.

A good 1.25 HP Disposal

Review of Smart Choice 1.25HP Corded Disposer - White
Installed the disposer by calling a technician and it replace the existing one that has 1 HP.
The installation process seems quite simple following the steps included in the manual, but after watching the technician working I think DIY work if if one is keen to it and have all the tools, and how easy it is will depend on how much of space you have under the sink.
The look and feel of it after installation is clean look like there is more space due to its color at least for the fit.
One little detail to share after the installation, while testing notice it was leaking from the bottom. The technician had to spend some time figuring out what was, until saw a screw underneath was loosen, But earlier to it the technician was concluding the disposer might be defected.

A subject that I usually don’t include but for Smart Choice 1.25 HP Disposer want remark its warranty, most noticeable I extract here: Length of Warranty: 10 years, Defective Disposer replaced with no charge, and Corrosion Warranty is covered if it fails to operate due to corrosion. For all of cases mentioned and included in the full list require its. Original Sales Receipt. I don’t think everyone would keep the receipt but good to know and attempt to have the receipt well kept.
The only aspect I wish it were better, it is smaller or compact and shorter. But aside of that, and based on usage of two days, can’t find any negative as per se.

The mini-sized, mega-capable DJI Mini 3 Pro is just as powerful as it is portable. Review of DJI Mini Pro3 with RC.
The DJI Mini 3 Pro is compact and light as the brand states. Although on physical hardware that would the main key point, the most impressive I find is it is packed with software features that work seamlessly with the camera and remote control as one.
Its weight (include Flight Battery, propellers, micrSD) is 249grams (8.78ounces) which is slightly heavier than iPhone 13 Pro Max 1TB that weight 240grams (8.46 ounces). But actually hand on feels less heavier.
The drone can be purchased with RC-NC1 model of remote control, or RC model of remote control or just the drone. The package I am reviewing is the one with RC which has 5.5 Inch HD Display with DJI Fly App pre installed in the remote control. Hence doesn’t require mobile phone.

Above list is part of longer list of specifications but mostly relevant at first sight. (Full list at https://www.dji.com/mini-3-pro/specs)
Starting the drone and operating was simple although had to get used to first to the meanings of pressing once or multiple time the power button in the drone. Have to press once to turn on, then press and hold to connect with the RC for instance.
Then on the RC need to setup profile and go through before flight safety guidance if not already familiar, and it is good to review to be in the safe side and avoid possible accident where is possible. Having said that, the take off is by pressing the Take Off button from the application, and the landing button for Return to Home or Flight Pause. After that once on the air can be operated with control sticks from RC and quite fun to do so.
Now DJI has packed with long list of features to be used in between while on the air that although it is mini and actually seems to align tot be named as the PRO label. This is because can three showing modes, can control the pixel of photo and camera which is basic but being possible on the flying camera with seamless control makes good drone to have. It allows to shoot vide on the move as pacing front of the person or side way, or variable, basic but enough to create good short video with good lenses.
For flight control, also it provide option to limi the maximum altitude. But what I find fascinating to me is the Return to Home function based on Smart Return to Home, Straight Return Home, and Low Battery Return to Home. Each has different reason to be used but automatically return to the base depending on the conditions of manually initiated, or auto initiated or low battery label is triggered hence automatically returning. Then the last mode which still I haven’t tested is Failsafe Return to Home that occur under the condition of loosing the signal with remote control.
The downside I experienced:
1. Life of battery: although the default battery that comes with drone says to last 34min, between connecting to RC and start flying, the flying time really doesn’t come to 34 minute to take advantage. As result the moment to make video and take pthotographs comes quite limited and have to calculate extra time for switching to second battery and take off and flip to the point where stoped to continue. Or have to wit to recharge the battery that takes longer. So it get bit frustrated the process.
2. The battery become too hot. Having made short flight, let say 5 min, or just having connected to RC, and the drone is very hot,
3. The drone specification states “10.7 m/s (Level 5)”, level five is about 19-24mph wind speed, which moves small trees, However, having flight in windy are that but less, as the drone is up on air I can feel how it loose stability easily.
4. Mobility: although the drone is light and compact comparison other versions, still bit bulky and the propeller doesn’t holds still such it wouldn’t break if placed in the backpack. Would be niche it comes with something to hold together so doesn’t get loosen and brake as replacement is bit pricey if have to replace multiple times.
5. While RC and drone are connected, and when there isn’t active the drone turn off automatically. However, the RC still show the view of camera. Although there isn’t actionable to it, as the Drone turn off, the view in RC should be closed and show the Home Screen. But this is just a small operations.

There is long list of good thing to write about the facilitation of the creativity shooting video on the mov. But in overall it feels mature design of the drone and stable application not causing error without going in granular detail of some of features and it is impressive everything can be done for the size.
As side note, DJI provides GeoZone that provide quite comprehensive view of zone that restriction or need to be aware of the area and which require unlocking process.

Installation is straight forward following the instruction. I only experienced bit of confusion while placing the deadbolt and aligning, and plugging its three cables with respective ends between exterior part and interior part.
A short note on the deadbolt, unlike other models in the market, Lockly Vision Elite Deadbolt can be installed for length of 2-3/4” (70mm) or 2-3/8 (60mm) by easily rotating.
Setting up with its application require extra step compared to other brand as it need to be connected with second piece of hardware that is a hub that allow the functionality of voice control for Alexa or Hey Google.
Also, in order to use the application, it require to setup user account that use two way verification by sending a text to the provided phone number for the code. If user doesn’t use text service, by calling the customer service can obtain on the phone.
Once setup user account, the application will find automatically the new device, then by setting up the passcode and rest of required setup, it can start using immediately.
Now, one of principal benefit I see is the changing number and position between four circles which make hard to enter the code for non home owners or anyone who would have granted permit to use given code.
Then the monitoring and all the features related to camera help to enhance that security as iit allow homeowner to see via Full HD camera, Live View and get alerted via notifications and log as motion sensors triggers as per its setup.
It allow two way conversation as it has microphone.
However, while during the day the live view seems clear well working, during night the camera shows in total dark or in vivid color and cannot tell under what conditions which one is which.
And the unique feature on motion sensor, it can be setup to start at 3ft, 8ft, 13ft in combination with when to start recording video depending on someone is present in the time duration of 10s, 15s, 30s, 60s, and 180s within defined zone range. But during the usage, observed it is not consistent when it record the video despite meeting the time and zone condition. In one case does record, other didn’t but couldn’t see consistency.
On the other hand, setting up the fingerprint and using it to unlock is quite handy alternative to physical key like when going out for just a instant for garbage disposal and entering back to home such case that wouldn’t want to grab the key or remember the passcode.
Then from the lock beeps every time open the application and change or navigate through its functions.
Among other good thing it has the log in the layout of the timeline that is easy to follow in my view. For instance it shows with timestamp what action was done like unlocked manually, locked automatically by user name xyzzy from the application, mention sensor detection and so on.
Note on what comes short:
1. It is not compatible with HomeKit
2. Video recording can be only seen in the log, it doesn’t have separate interface to see all the video like in a single folder by timeline. It is mixed among other activities and user need to scroll donw’up and look for it among all the activities.
3. There seems a lag between actual event in the hardware and its log from the application. If I unlock manually, in the application can still see it is locked and it get updated after several seconds or need to close the app and open again.
4. The battery capacity shows only in the icon mode and not able to find in numbers what percentages left hence end up guessing.
5. For solar panel charging, can’t tell if it the lock is charging and how much.
6. Dependency to manufacturer battery. Although for some users wouldn’t represent as issue, in long run in the event of need new battery, can’t use just any compatible battery like AAA that can be purchased at anyplace.
7. Motion detection doesn’t seem to work correctly all the time. Sometime it does detect and trigger recording while in other case doesn’t despite of meeting the condition of the video and motion setup.
8. On this one might be because of all the feature included in the lock, but its size is quite bulky. It is a chance of box hangin on the door.
9. For the lock during the installation it includes a sticker for both pieces. In long run, I don’t see it would last much.

good to have for secure internet experience

The Norton 360 Platinum 2022 consist of basic protection while being in Internet via desktop, notebook or mobile devices.
Its installation is simple as soon as download and providing the product key, then the normal account setting if already it is created.

The VPN allow to select what region or use the default as it automatically select depending from where connecting the internet. In this aspect, comes to notice that in iOS devices, as selecting the region it shows what city which in Windows doesn’t include such details.
The Dark Web Monitoring seems to works without knowing its detail. For instance my email that was part list hacked from online services I use, Norton had detected my information and notify me. That is a bit scare to be, but Norton only offer as awareness and for action to take Norton request to pay extra to remove from the dark web. In this aspect I feel sort of being cornered with personal information compromised and Norton offering service but with extra charge, and not having how it is guarantee is removed totally doesn’t make feel secure.
Another observation on using on mobile phone. Not sure if it has to do using with iOS, but constantly the connectivity change from WiFI to cellular data as soon as stop using the phone. It only switch back to WiFI while opening any application.
Aside of aforementioned details at high level, it works appropriately from non expert but regular user.

Great printer for home and office work

From all the specifications, as little remark I wish it has is USB port as it comes with port for SD and miniSD..
With that, at glance the printer is a practical to use from setting up to printing via wifi, and control via mobile phone that deliver a printing and scanning quality more than needed for office work.

Setting it up and connecting to the wifi are not much different to different Canon models. Jumping directly to the printing quality, which print up to 4800 x 1200 dpi, in the actual print it is quite clean and neat definition on the printed paper. For instance, printed on sticker printing sheet multiple images in color. Its print can notice the level of definition as clear per respective colors, and the edge lines well defined on the final image. However the total black image can notice some lines across which seen in different type of printing and printers.
Similarly, the Scanner has support of Auto Document Feeder (ADF), with optical resolution u1200 x 2400 dpi, are handy specification that works well. Scanned a image that had quite invisible to the eye a smudge at the border line of the image, the scanned and printed includes such detail.
From usage perspective, the 4.3 LCD Touchscreen is big plus as it ease the process of selection of options from the printer itself. However, it need have lifted the operation panel (the part that contain the LCD) otherwise it wouldn’t print. This is bit odd for those need to have the printer located high level of furniture and sort of best use by placing at desk level.
Having used for variety of printing from document to images and stickers for kids, and sending/receiving some fax, Pixma TR8620a does help to complete the task for the office or small home and family projects without the need of a printer with higher resolution and complexity.

Simple system that deliver good as pro level

MagniFi Mini AX Atmos with Wireless Subwoofer is a tiny system with powerful sound for movies and music audiophiles. It might not make the same sound of the professional grade of speakers and effect, but considering the size of sounder and connected to wireless mode to subwoofer deliver quite great experience as regular user I am.
From the box, it is simple sysmte, just couple of cables, the sound bar and subwoofer. I did tow type of connections:
1 Paired directly to Apple TV via bluetooth;
2. Connect to WiFi to play AirPlay.

With connection to the streaming device, watched Mission Impossible Fall out, and 5 Underground. From the first movie, where there is chasing the motorcycle and police cars sounding its engine from far rear to the front as approach to the motorcycle, the crunching noise can feel all way around in the room. Similarly in 5 underground, in the almost in the beginning the car chasing happen, can feel dynamically changing from far rear to left front and so on.
It makes the movie watching experience quite immersive, naturally this is with movie streaming with Dolby Atmo or DTS. Similar effect with 5.1 although I could feel something a bit missing or not same.
Regarding control and options from the remote control, it is standard, volume for voice, bass, and general, then separate control for surrounding speakers, these aside of standard functions.
But two key functions found practical and useful, Sound and Delay Sound. The Sound provide option to select between 5 modes, Movie, 3D, Night, All Channel, Music. These preset function are practical as I didn’t have to be changing differently depending on what I am watching and during what moment of the day/night.
Then the delay sound, I haven’t tried, but its intention sound novel to help to sync between the talking speed from the show and the speaker.
Then only downside I see is that the system is not compatible with existing Polk Surround Systems SR that comes for 5.1 system., and have to buy new pair. But this is only for those who might be using 5.1 system and need to upgrade to one that support Airplay.
The system support chrome cast aa well. But as this writing only used with iOS system.
In short and again, it deliver nice movie, music and tv experience in a small package that support airplay and chrome cast, practical to use for regular users.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Little light for my emotion to keep me going

The desk lamp Aura RGBIC from Govee is a fun to undo stress while it serves the need of light for ongoing work or reading for pleasure.
Out of the box, having on hand, it feels not heavy at all, easy to move around from one desk to different spot or next to the bed.
To use it need to connect via WiFi, and most devices does, need the mobile phone in between to pair and complete the setup. In between the process is managed via Goveee own application.

With the application, can create different effects and personalization to change color, brightness, effects, even a timer. For simplification of selection of combination, it provide by default to select between 4 modes, Music, Color, Scan, and DIY. Each mode has its own sub options:
- Music: Spectrum, Vibrate, Energetic, Rhythm, and each has its own sub selection of options choose.
- Color: Color and grade of white between Warm and Color, then each has its own sub selection of options to choose.
- Scene: Neutral, Life, Emotion, Response, then each has its own sub selection of options to choose.
- DIY: On this I interpret it is to create own combination, but I couldn’t play with with it as this writing.

In the application, also comes Effect Lab that allow users to combine multiple range of colors and effect at personal choice.,
Once selected any mode or effect, it immediately takes effect in the lighting. The favorite I found interestingly fun, the Music with option for “Music Sync from device mic” which can be from the mobile device or from the light itself. Upon selection, the color of light change according to the music, I think even the frequency or speed of change of color vary based on the music.
Even it has option to for sleeping, that in certain time duration the light creates different effect.
Govee Aura RGBICE Desk Lamp does seems to help the emotion during any ongoing work or task, and the application comes with options that I feel bit overwhelmed choices to go through despite of summarized modes. But probably better than less options than feeling the need and can’t select.
And a unique option I seen or not expected, in the application can setup to use the light with only one mobile device to secure only one person can have access. Although I haven’t used as this writing, it might be helpful for security purpose.
The few aspect I didn’t like is to use the application and pair, I have to create separate account, one more account/password to add to all the list of devices and services for daily usages,
In short, a fun to use it and still for serious need to enhance or calm the emotions.

The Zebook Flip 2 in 1 feels lighter than other brands of same size, with premium look and feel of the hardware makes a notebook that is flexible for work and entertainment purpose.
Model in review has OLED display that comes with Intel 12tth Gen Core i7-12700H 2.3GHz, 16GB Ram and Windows 11 Home.
Upon taking out of the box and starting its OS preparation is common to the Windows 11 process. Not much to add as haven’t observed any differences.
Among few things to remark the Zenbook is its weight for the size, vibrant image for video call and entertainment, and Dolby Atmos for Headphone and Speaker controlled separately.

For camera, it has option to control how it should behave during the conference as such to follow the eye or the body., blur background.
Now, while watching movie deliver great experience if use a headset. With it can feel details as Dolby Atmo meant to. Without headset still can experience the Dolby Atmo but feels it diminish as it is open space and hard to detect on the details. For instance watching Top Gun 1, from its 6 min where the battle starts between jets, its movement from led to right and in between as the engine sound burning, with the headset can detect separately most of them. And this is from quite old movie.
Streaming from regular Youtube like to listen music video doesn’t feel the greatness of sound and video, only thing is its stability such that can’t see in bear eyes breaking images in the video.
On the other hand, during video conference, it does what Intel chip usually does that can hear its fan working at full speed for a moment, which I don’t experience while streaming full 4k video.
Then the connection to bluetooth headphone sometime get disconnected while watching movies and I suspect it triggered as it activate the Dolby Atmo. In few cases, the connection got totally disconnected switching the sound to the Zenbook’s speaker. So something to have back of mind if using during a flight.
Using it flipped, it is also great user experience due to simplicity but it feels it is not consistent the locking of the keyboard. Despite having activated locking option when flipped, sometime as I touch the keyboard takes effect. Then switching landscape to portrait doesnt seem to work straight as from Landscape to Portrait had to work on it. Once having on portrait, need to make sure side with power button goes up, otherwise in opposite mode placing it on the desk or body, it turn off. So end up in panic mode if that happen during a video conference.
Among details that I find very practical and good it is as is, it is regarding control of mic and camera from the keyboard. It is handy and practical in my opinion to have direct button from the keyboard instead of looking for how to deactivate from the conference software. At least for me.
To summarize I wish it work better:
1. Stability of bluetooth connectivity with headphone;
2. Keyboard locking while flipping screen only;
3. Switching screen to landscape to portrait and vice versa
4. Finger print marked on the hard ware, could be resistance as it something like on the refrigerator.

Practical little thing w/ great sound experience

This is a review of Review of Momentum True Wireless 3.
The review is based on using it with iPhone.
The latest headphone from Sennheisser does deliver the mean of the model name Momentum.
The first impression was just amazing listening the music. As you wear it, and play the music creates its own world isolated from surrounding. It is almost like when you get under the water and feel that silence totally just that silence and start listening the music that can feel each vocal note and instruments.

Upon opening and setting up is quite similar to the experience of what already exist in the market.
Connecting with the mobile phone, as soon as take out from the charging case and place next to phone, immediately detected the phone for connection without any manual intervention. I don’t know if this is across all type of iOS, but at least where it work is a nice detail.

The charging case and the buds all very light as holding them compared to other brand. And once in the ear feels very comfortable and doesn’t feel I am wearing. Often with other brand feels similar but there is pressure inward the ear that start feeling after couple of minutes, but not with the Momentum.
Note noise cancellation does what mean adapting to the moment and place. Using it while kids talking loud for instance, it creates sort o a sound wall that separate what ever listening vs kids voice. Sennheiser’s application provide option to control with three modes if the default setting is not sufficient. It has the Off/Anti Wind/On. Then it has Transparency Mode OFF/With Music/Pause Music. Combination of these options allow some degree of how to interact or isolate totally.
Making the call, during call doesn’t feel much dropping or need to repeat the conversation, such the other side would say can’t hear you or can you repeat.
Then using the control from the headphone, is simple although it might take bit of getting used to and memorize the number of tap for each action.
Note to remark on the application:
1. It has specific setting for Podcast to remake the voice.. While this is setup, automatically the equalizer option become disabled.
2. It has separate control allowing to assign or customize the Touch Controls. Hence for each Tap or repeated Tap can or not have a function. This is quite handy feature as some other I used, I wished I could disable or change the function. If it is disabled, all the control has to be done from the mobile device rather from the headphone.

In overall, Momentum True Wireless 3 deliver great music experience as if wearing full-size headphone but minimized to practical and very functional for during the daily movement. But the rating is given from the perspective of the Sound and full experience that come with it.

After you play a song using Google Assistant, does the input source automatically return to whatever it was using before?
Sharing experience of using Google Home app on iPhone if device os matter. Upon playing music from Google Home, then playing streaming, it detect the images to be displayed but some how the sound doesn't. As worker around had to switch to second HDMI connection then switch back to HDMI connected to streaming device.
This feedback is based on connection configuration: Streaming Device 1 connected to HDMI 1, Outbput HDMI from Sound Bard connected to HDMI of TV, Connected to Google Home via WiFi.

I have a Sony tv with eARC hdmi. I use a Polk magnifi max that does not indicate it has eARC. Will the enhancements of eARC be available anyway or do we all have to buy new sound equipment to take advantage if the new technology.
I connected to TV with non eARC hdmi and worked ok.
