Breville Combi Wave - Cooking Perfection
My wife loves to cook for family, friends, and especially for our Grand Kids. So, when I had an opportunity to review the Breville Combi Wave™ 3 in 1 1.1 Cu. Ft. Convection Microwave in exchange for the actual product, I was delighted. My better-half is fantastic at planning meals and 'goodies' ahead for family and friends. But, our six Grand Kids present a unique challenge to her culinary skills, and last minute preparation. They pop-in often unannounced, and, are always hungry. They know Grandma can rustle up some sort of 'Snack-Plate' quickly to keep their tummies happy. In the past her snacks have been mostly cold items out of the fridge, and, or, food-stuffs heated quickly in our ancient microwave.
When I first received this unit I was impressed with its build and design. The whole cabinet is made of metal, brushed stainless steel at the front of the unit and polished SS in the interior of the cooking oven. It easily fits on my kitchen counter top, however it requires a minimum of 8 inches of clearance from the top of the unit for proper heat dissipation (see pic). Grandma immediately fell in love with this Breville Combi after reading the included Instruction Book and going over the recipes for this unit on-line. She made me pack-up our toaster, convection oven for 'Good Will', and toss our old microwave in the recycle bin.
She said the six cooking food functions with their various settings enabled her the assorted options to quickly cook most anything for our family, guests, and Grand Kids, resulting in healthy cooking too. WooHoo! The majority of time it is just me and Grandma, so the 1.1 cu ft multi-purpose oven is our ideal size.
Bottom Line – Why should you buy this Breville Combi Wave for over Four Hundred Dollars?
** Multi-Function Cooking – This Breville Combi actually replaces, my old microwave, smallish air fryer, and convection-toaster oven. It saves much needed counter space in my kitchen. It also keeps us from using our large (5 cu ft), energy consuming, freestanding, convection oven. And, because it has 'Fast Combi' we can combine microwave, convection cooking, and oven grilling into one cooking process, which cooks foods to CRISPY perfection. When the Grand Kids show up out of the Wild-Blue-Yonder, Grandma can now quickly cook frozen burgers or sliders just like the kids want them with added cheese or garnishes. YUM!
** Intuitive Controls – At first I was overwhelmed by the myriad of cooking controls and numerous options. However, after two weeks of using this baby several times a day. It is an easy learning curve if it is used often. The generous 2 ½ by 3 ½ inch digital display screen is easy to read and very comprehensive. The bright whitish/bluish tinted background, contrasted by the deep blue lettering on the digital display screen is amazing. There are six cooking function buttons on the front of this unit. We can cook almost anything from frozen to refrigerated with these comprehensive cooking functions. Or, just simply use this baby as a microwave with numerous features over conventional units. I personally love the 'AirFry' button feature. Whatever I put in this Breville, Fries, Brussels Sprouts, Cauliflower, Broccoli, etc. it cooks it to a Crispy-Perfection. Yahoo!
** Shortcuts Panel – On the inside of the front door panel is the most fascinating vertical list of icon, touch-controls. They are simple, but effective. I can set the clock, use the 'child-lock', set unit measure from Celsius to Fahrenheit degrees, and program the 'Favorites' functions, which I use the most on this Combi Oven. I can cook popcorn, melt chocolate, and butter from these touch icons. I can also set the volume of the 'beep' after any function is completed, change the sounds, and Mute them also. And, I can utilize the 'Grill' feature, or, just keep my cooked food on 'Warm'. How cool is that?
** Smart Cook, Reheat, & Defrost – This is one Smart Microwave. Under the 'Food Menu' settings I can choose to cook, reheat, or defrost my selection. Under cook I can choose from popcorn, hard or soft veggies, rice, bacon, cake, cookies, butter, chocolate, pizza, nuggets, fries, chicken, meat, and, or fish. What is fascinating is that I can adjust my cooking to Quantity, and, or Weight. WoW!
** Healthy & Delicious Food – Fast Combi and Air Frying gives us sumptuous foods without the heavy, cholesterol, fatty oils, and greasy tastes. So glad that the crispy, air-fry food tastes so great without the added cooking oils.
** Plus Features – Rotating, glass round turntable. Super-Quiet operation. Half-way through any cooking time-cycle, the digital display will prompt me when to 'Turn-Over' the food in the combi crisper, or microwave dishes. Love It! Great Feature!
** Clean-Up – After each use of the Breville Combi Wave Oven, the manufacturer suggests to wipe down the interior of the oven with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners. Always use a dampened cloth first.
** TIPS – Use microwave cooking dishes and covers for more even cooking and results that are more more true to the suggested cooking times. Microwave plate and dish covers contain splatter and make clean-up a 'breeze'. Microwave-safe cookware is OK for reheating leftovers, etc, but, not for cooking in the recipes. If what you are attempting to microwave is very dry and has little moisture – hand sprinkle water droplets on the food items for more efficient cooking results. Use trivets or oven-safe pots and bowls to elevate your food items so that the 'Oven' convection cooking function can circulate hot air under your cooking dish and all around for complete cooking.
** Summary – This Breville Combi Wave 1.1 Convection Microwave is actually a multi-purpose cooking appliance, all-in-one. It microwaves, cooks food as in a convection oven, air-fries without conventional oils for healthier cooking, and grills with top, conventional heating elements. What more do you need? I love this Breville unit because Grandma loves it, and uses it to make many gastronomical feasts. It would make a outstanding gift to your 'Special-Someone', family member, or friend. It is a great gift to yourself, believe me, you won't be disappointed.

Great Speakers And Sound – App Setup Disappointing

I was really looking forward to review this Sonance - 2-Ch. Outdoor Streaming Music System for use on my outdoor patio in exchange for the product. Sonos' speaker quality is world renowned. When I received this unit I was immediately impressed by the extra care and design of delivery-packaging the factory folks took to ensure this unit arrived undamaged and ready to install. It has been raining for over a week in my neck of the woods, and, have not been able to install these fantastic speakers on my patio. So, I thought I would set this Sonos system up, temporarily, using my record player. I have an extensive vinyl record collection and love the full spectrum sound of analog recordings as they were meant to be heard. My record player has a pre-amp, which is required to use with this Sonos Amp. When I finally got this system configured I was thoroughly impressed with the analog sound reproduction spectrum, which is much more dynamic then any digital. These are quality-built and engineered speakers. YaHoo!
What do I LOVE about these Sonos Speakers?
** Sound – The incredible mid-ranges, and robust bass are candy to my ears. At low or higher, volumes of sound, the clarity and frequency ranges of between 65Hz – 30kHz are phenomenal. Even though the average person can only hear from the ranges of 20 Hz to 20 kHz these speakers encompass the whole gambit of the auditory sensation. They provide an excellent, sound spectrum with flawless, background nuances, which is so important when playing analog, vinyl media. Without a sub woofer these speakers present such a pronounced bass with resonating kick drum and flowing bass guitar, I am super-pleased. These two Sonos speakers rival my high-end Bose, which need a sub woofer at a higher crossover level to deliver the same quality bass. These Sonos, two-channel, streaming, outdoor speakers are well-built. It is obvious that they were designed for large spaces (outdoor) to deliver outstanding sound quality. I turned the volume as loud as I could endure, and, the distortion-free-quality was evident. These Sonos speakers are worth the money! WooHoo! Each speaker is equipped with a 1-inch cloth, dome tweeter with a 6.5-inch glass fiber cone woofer. Keep in mind that these outdoor speakers are 'water-resistant', NOT waterproof. They really need to be installed under an eave, for rain protection, or other 'sheltered', outdoor locations.
** EZ to Mount – Sonos furnishes the bracket housings along with the hardware to mount these speakers anywhere outside to wood surfaces on your home. The brackets will also mount to brick, concrete block surfaces, or any other type of masonry surfaces with the appropriate fasteners. They can be installed both horizontally or vertically. They 'lock' into the furnished brackets, but can easily pivot to direct the sound where you desire. I plan to install them under my eaves on my masonry walls in my patio area.
** Set Up – Out of the box the hardware, speaker setup and connections to the Amp are pretty basic and straightforward. The spring, speaker wire connections in the speakers are simple and quick to install (see pics). Speaker wire is NOT furnished, so I used the least resistance wire at 14 gauge, which is the highest gauge acceptable, that the Sonos speaker folks recommend. Installing the speaker wires to the banana terminals of the Amp is just as simple as long as the speaker wire, 'polarity' is maintained.
** Sonos & I Port Connect App - Although my Linksys Mesh Router shows the Sonos Amp is on-line in my 2.4 GHz Radio Frequency, I could never communicate with it through the Sonos App, or, the I Port Connect App. However, I was able to use the Amp in 'manual' mode with the touch-control volume icons. It delivered great sound even though I was not able to access any other App features to adjust the bass, treble, and volume through my I-Phone. After 3-days of repeating all the suggested remedies in the 'troubleshoot' steps, I tried unsuccessfully to contact the toll-free Sonos Help Number. I have a 'high-end' amp receiver and finally connected the two Sonos Speaker Units to my auxiliary output to play my vinyl records. It was absolutely amazing at the sound dimensions and response of these Sonos speakers, that I could adjust with my amp's pre-sets, and EQ.
** Conclusion – Since I could not utilize the features of the Sonos Amp through the Sonos App, I cannot give my opinion fairly. I will state that the price of the Sonos Amp by itself is high enough to suggest looking into other quality amp-receivers, which may offer superior, easier, connection features, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and more auxiliary inputs and outputs. Love the Sonos speakers, but cannot recommend the Amp because of my connection issues.

Cost Effective, DYI, Home WI-FI Security Camera
I selected this camera for review in exchange for the product because I already have a Defender NVR system ,and, am familiar with the operation and value of Defender security cameras. I have several existing, 2K, outdoor cameras, which provide perimeter, security coverage through my home WI-FI network to a Defender NVR. However, this Defender - Guard Indoor/Outdoor 1440p Wi-FiWireless Network Surveillance Camera also features sound. I was intrigued and anxious to try it out. After a week of experimenting where to place it indoors I finally settled on the best location for optimum indoor security surveillance. YooHoo!
This Defender Guard 2K security camera is a valuable addition to an existing system like mine, or, as a stand-a-lone surveillance camera on any home WI-FI network. It is a cost-effective, DYI, 4MP, 2K resolution, Color Security Camera with Sound and impressive Night Vision. It also has an on-board, self-contained, 16GB Micro SD card, which can be upgraded to 128GB, and, is able to record both 'motion-events' and sound through the Defender Smart Signal App when motion is initiated.
So, after a week why do I think this Defender Guard Surveillance Camera is outstanding?
** Video Quality – This is the most important consideration of any type of surveillance camera. With this camera I can get up to 2k resolution and exceptional night vision of up to 98 feet. The live, color rendition is superior. A big plus is that I can change the resolution from HD (2560 x 1440) to SD (480P), in the 'settings' at the bottom of each camera screen. At the SD (480P) setting I can record and store so much more data. This Guard camera has a generous 123 degree wide angle lens, which is especially outstanding for indoors. If using more then one camera the manufacturer recommends 2K video recording should be limited to only one camera. I have my Indoor, Defender Guard camera set to HD resolution and the outside cameras to SD. A great feature I love is that I can zoom in or out of any live view or recorded video using my two fingers pinched and spread across my Smart Phones, Tablet, or my I-Pad. This gives me so much more detail. Keep in mind that this Defender Guard camera is also a 'stand-a-lone' and through the Defender App can be programmed to record to its SD card upon motion activation. How cool is that?
** Camera Set-Up – This Defender Guard camera is so easy to place and install. A 120 V power outlet is needed to operate the camera along with a Home, WI-FI network wireless or Ethernet connection. This camera works only on a 2.4 GHz radio frequency. If your router has two, or more frequencies of 2.4 and 5.0 GHz it will work fine. The 2.4 GHz is used more often when longer distances are more important then the amount of data delivery. Once powered WI-FI pairing is pretty simple and quick. The included Quick Start Guide provides all the information necessary to pair this camera to your Home WI-FI Network of existing NVR. I first placed my camera in the general location of where I wanted it. Then, after WI-FI pairing, I adjusted the final placement and vertical adjustments by using the live stream on my I-Phone to help me. How simple is that? Be aware this camera can only be adjusted vertically. There is no horizontal adjustment. If Ethernet cable is your choice of installation over wireless because of long distance, be aware that Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable are both capable of runs of up to 1,000 feet without any appreciable degradation in bandwidth. However, using Wireless or Ethernet cable the minimum network download speed of 5Mbps is required for optimal video performance. The Defender Guard camera is capable of motion detection and the on-board sensor is adjustable (1- 5) through the Defender App for sensitivity. Additionally, the Defender App allows me to select a 'Detection-Region', which I can highlight in the Orange Detection Zone. Anything else outside of this zone will be excluded for Motion Detection. This is a very useful feature as it cancels pets, car, or street traffic, and other kinds of views in my camera's field of view that I do not want any Motion Detection triggered.
** Defender App - This FREE App is available for both mobile, android and apple devices. The app will only work on Mobile devices like Smart Phones, Tablets, or I-Pads. It is not downloadable to laptops or desktops. In the various settings menu it allows me to customize my surveillance cameras for constant, time specific, and, or motion and sound detection. It will also notify me as to my set choices and settings.
** Saves Money – As a DIY home security owner I love the fact that this Defender Guard camera and system does not require additional third-party monitoring fees for viewing, recording, and equipment rentals. With your mobile phone connected to your Home WI-FI system you can monitor this camera or several cameras anytime and anywhere, and be notified of an intrusion. WooHoo!
** Concerns – The included power cord is NOT weatherproof. Wherever this camera is installed the 120V power connections must be protected from the elements and safe. Indoors there is no problem, but although the camera is rated IP67, weather resistant, the AC power connection is not. Please keep this in mind if planning on installing this camera outdoors.
** Summary – I highly recommend this Defender - Guard Indoor/Outdoor 1440p Wi-FiWireless Network Surveillance Camera. It is a fantastic, entry level unit, and easy to install, especially if it is used indoors. The features of the camera and App are near professional quality. Outdoor installation requires a little more complexity and expertise. However, most DIY folks can install this surveillance camera anywhere they so choose either by themselves, or with some professional help.

Set automatic cook times on busy days with this Crock-Pot 7-quart slow cooker. The ergonomic chrome-plated rubber handles offer a good grip for hassle-free serving, while the removable insert and glass lid are dishwasher safe for easier maintenance. This Crock-Pot 7-quart slow cooker automatically shifts to a warm setting once cooking is complete to keep food at an optimum serving temperature.

Programmable,Time Saver, Delicious One Pot Meals

My old, national brand, slow-cooker passed away several years ago. For whatever reason we did not replace that unit. So, when I had an opportunity to review a genuine CrockPot Digital 7qt Platinum Slow Cooker I was delighted too in exchange for the actual product. I immediately remembered all those delicious, one pot meals created with my last unit, that were so convenient and tasty. I wondered if this CrockPot could measure up, and, or, be an improvement. Upon receiving this unit I was first impressed with its overall great looks. The lustrous, platinum, polished finish is contrasted by the black heating base, black, stoneware crock pot, black background of the touch, digital, display screens, and the black, soft-touch, handle grips. WoW! This unit blends in with my existing kitchen decor. It is stylish and fashionable and would blend in with any modern kitchen motif. WooHoo! This unit only weighs approximately 13.5 pounds. I can place it anywhere in my kitchen where I want to use it. Since this unit does get hot I position it on heat resistant surfaces in my kitchen and allow space for air circulation. So, how does this CrockPot unit perform?
** After two weeks of using this CrockPot slow-cooker for nine meals these are my observations:
* Programmable Digital Controls – This unit features both High and Low settings. The touch-pad controls are very intuitive, and easy to learn. The High setting defaults to a Four hour cooking cycle,while, the Low setting defaults to an Eight hour cooking cycle. However, the digital touch pad allows me to adjust the cooking times from just Thirty Minutes up to a maximum of Twenty hours in Thirty minute segments, plus or minus. WoW! The touch-pad display counts Down from whatever time setting I choose. When my preset cooking time is completed this unit automatically goes into the Warm setting, which lasts four hours, and, then, the unit automatically shuts OFF. How cool is that? Be aware that the Warm cycle does not have a 'countdown' display. However, the Warm Light is lit while it is ON. The cooking temperatures of High or Low are 'Fixed' and cannot be adjusted (More on this later). I used a household, food-temperature thermometer to check the Low setting, which was 200 degrees F, and, the High setting was approximately 315 degrees F. My older slow-cooker never got over 180 degrees F on Low, or 275 degrees F on High.
* Design – This CrockPot unit is a 'classy' addition to my kitchen. It has four non-skid legs, which stabilize this unit and elevate it high enough to allow air to circulate under the main body. This unit gets very HOT and should only be placed on heat-resistant surfaces. When handling this unit always use appropriate pot holders or other heat insulating gloves. Even the handles of this slow-cooker get very hot, so please be careful. The electrical cord is twenty-four inches in length for safety purposes, and, wraps on the hooks at the back of the unit for convenient storage. This CrockPot uses only 280 watts of power, so it can be plugged in most anywhere in my kitchen. The glass cover of this CrockPot fits loosely on the top intentionally to allow water vapor and steam to release. There are four indentations on the top of the crockery pot stoneware to assist heated vapor to escape. Be aware that this unit is designed to cook meals for seven to eight people, larger families. I found that the more I filled this CrockPot, at least three quarters full, the better it cooked. Love leftovers. YUM! If your needs require capacities less then seven qt. – Best Buy also has smaller CrockPot units available.

* Time Saver - Grandma and me are retired but, we have many activities, which do not keep us home bound. This Digital Platinum CrockPot allows me and Grandma to enjoy hobbies, shopping, gardening, and boating and fishing without having to be around our kitchen constantly. Grandma (with my help) prepares the veggies and meat in the early morning after our daily coffee routine. We load the CrockPot and set the cooking temp and times, and off to our FUN stuff. The Four hour Warming feature is a plus, plus. YooHoo!
* Money Saver – This Digital CrockPot allows us to use quality, less expensive pieces of meat. The Low temp feature is unbelievable in cooking meat to super-tender, mouth-watering, consistency. Love it. Vegetables cook to perfection in this CrockPot and retain most of their vitamins and minerals on Low temp cooking. Healthy Cooking.
* Low Temp Cooking – It is obvious to me and Grandma that cooking at Low temperatures allows vegetables to 'marry' their various flavors slowly as against to high temp cooking. Any kind of meat cooked at Low temp is more tender, flavorful, and sumptuous with accompanied vegetables and Grandma's favorite seasonings. YUM!
* Convenience – Love the ability to load this CrockPot early in the morning, and have a delicious meal warmed and waiting for us to enjoy at the end of the day. YaHoo! The included recipes in the Owner's Guide are basic, but classic. What's amazing about this slow-cooking CrockPot is we can cook almost anything in the stoneware pot, and, in combination with vegetables or noodles. Grandma even slow-cooked chicken wings with Bar-B-Que sauce for a tailgating party. We quickly ran out, and our friends raved about how tender and delicious they were.
* Clean-Up – The glass lid and stoneware pot are dishwasher safe. Because the stoneware pot is too large to fit in our dishwasher we just wash it with dish washing detergent, and use vinegar to get out the harder stains. The platinum finish of this CrockPot easily wipes clean with just a moist towel.
** Love this CrockPot, but have the following concerns:
* After two weeks of cooking in this CrockPot on Low, I found that the Low Temp is high, approximately 200 degrees F. Liquid starts a low-boil after thirty minutes. We adjusted the cooking times of our standard recipes by one hour less and added up to a third more liquid (Chicken or Beef Broth) to compensate. The majority of liquids condensate back into the CrockPot. But, keep this in mind when leaving this unit unattended for extended time periods. Even with the extra liquid our food was still delicious, and cooked to perfection!
* This CrockPot unit gets very hot and care must be taken in handling the lid and gripping handles. Always use pot holders or heat-insulating gloves to avoid burns.
* This seven quart CrockPot is a large capacity slow-cooker. Anything less then half-full may result as disappointing and over-cooked food. Always have enough liquid in the pot to withstand a constant low-boil for the duration of your time settings. We use this CrockPot at three-quarters full and have excellent results.
I highly recommend this CrockPot Programmable and Digital Slow Cooker. If you have an older slow-cooker this would make an excellent upgrade. It is not expensive and the digital features of this unit are first-rate. Grandma is purchasing one as a gift for an upcoming bridal shower.

Snap It On Your Phone – Print It A Minute Later

After going through several highly touted photo printers only to be disappointed by the expensive costs of ink cartridges, photo paper, and not so great color, photo reproduction. I was intrigued reading about this HP Sprocket Studio Printer and the superior color of its printed photos. So when I had an opportunity to select this Sprocket Studio for an honest review in exchange for the printer I was anxious to evaluate it on quality of photos and costs. I am a Grandfather with six photogenic Grand Kids, and I take tons of photos. This Sprocket Studio Printer has an easy learning curve and the more I use it, the more I find all the innovative ways to enhance my photo treasures. After a week of using this little baby to print out some of my most favorite photos – I am thoroughly impressed:
** Quality Of Photos – This is the most important reason for purchasing a photo printer in the first place. As I unboxed this unit I was very skeptical of its size, weight, and build to make quality, brilliant color photos at its price point. However, I soon realized that this HP Sprocket Studio prints out magnificent, 4” x 6” (102 x 152 mm) full-spectrum, detailed photos in vivid color. It is absolutely awesome how a little printer like this Sprocket Studio can produce such photo realism and color splendor given its small size and simplicity. When I select a photo to print on my phone I access this printer through the HP Sprocket App. The Sprocket Studio Printer then draws a 4' x 6” photo paper from the photo-paper housing into the front printer slot. The photo paper slides back and forth from front to the back of the printer until the final, finished print is gently placed onto the top of the photo paper housing. The printed photo actually develops in front of my own eyes through the Sprocket Printer process – Amazing! The finished photo exceeds my expectations for color elegance and superior quality. Yipee!
** Photo Paper – What really makes this Sprocket Printer unique is that the available photo paper prints out beautiful, colored photos that HP claims will last 100 years, durable, and are resistant from fading, too. WoW! From HP - “Tests conducted by Wilhelm Imaging Research, Inc. indicate that photos printed with Original HP inks on HP Advanced Photo Paper Glossy are rated for longer than 100 years in dark storage.” Also from HP - “Durable: Using Original HP inks with HP Advanced Photo Paper and HP Premium Plus Photo Paper enables your photos to withstand rain and water spills, and dry quickly, so you can share them immediately without the fear of smudging or smearing.” Astonishing! The photo paper housing of this Sprocket Studio has a maximum capacity of 20 sheets. That is a lot of printer photos before I have to reload. Since I plan to use this FUN printer an awful lot these coming holidays, I purchased Two, HP, Sprocket Studio 2-Pack Standard Capacity with Color Ink Cartridges + Photo Paper (80 sheets each) from my local Best Buy (see pics). I now have up to 160 photos I can print out and share with my family and friends at our celebrations. WooHoo!
** Cost Per Photo – Replacement photo paper and cartridges average out to approximately $.43 cents per a generously-sized, 4” x 6” photo. Considering the outstanding color photo caliber, this HP Sprocket Studio Photo Paper is a bargain.
** Bluetooth Connectivity - HP Sprocket uses 5.0 Bluetooth technology. It is so easy to connect and pair. And, I can pair up to three of my separate devices in its registry. However to be able to utilize the Sprocket App on another device I have to unpair from the device I am currently connected too. When my Sprocket Studio is powered OFF, I have to re-select pairing again in my BT settings on my cell phone to take advantage of the Sprocket App.
** HP Sprocket App – Here is where the FUN begins. This Free App can be downloaded at the Apple or Google Play Stores. It was easy to install and set-up my Studio Sprocket Printer. The App prompted me through the process. It provides exciting enhancements to photos from my existing gallery, allows me to take and also edit photos, add embedded contents using 'Reveal', and print my photos using the Sprocket Studio Printer. At the Home Screen of this App I can sign-in to any of my popular Social Services by swiping to the Left of the screen, which allows me to access my social media account photos. Pretty Neat! Photos cannot be printed manually, you must use this Sprocket App from your phone. Be aware for all these App features to work 'Permissions' must be given to access your photo gallery, location, and camera and microphone. The Sprocket App will request them the first time App is launched. What can I do that is so special with this App?
By clicking on the Pencil Icon in the right-hand corner of my selected and previewed photo I open up a host of editing features:
* Auto-Fix; Adjustments for Brightness, Contrast, Saturation & Reset.
* Filters for various Lighting Effects I choose to set a mood or atmosphere.
* Quick Action Edits, which add pre-created artwork for Happy Birthday, Congratulation, etc.
* Frames with seasonal touches, Birthday & Congratulations , and decorative borders.
* Numerous FUN Stickers and Banners for almost every occasion.
* Text, which allows me to personalize my pics with my own words (see attached fishing pic).
* Brush, which can add colors and shades of colors to my photos.
* Crop/Rotate, which allows me to edit my photos any way I so choose.
* Auto-Fix; Adjustments for Brightness, Contrast, Saturation & Reset.

** Additional App Features – In Print Preview I can swipe to Tiles, which is pretty unique. Even though each printed photo size is 4” x 6” I can use any one of my favorite photos and create an 8” x 12” tiled photo by selecting the four-tile icon, or, create a 12” x 18” tiled photo selecting the nine-tile icon. How cool is that? Photos in the Queue can always be deleted if I change my mind to not print them, or, add enhancements, stickers, and texts, etc.
** Take It Anywhere – HP Sprocket Studio Printer is approximately 6.65” W x 10.75” D x 2.68” H in) and weighs approximately 2.06 pounds. It has a small footprint and is lightweight so I can take it anywhere. It uses 120V power and has a three-pronged grounding electrical plug. There is an optional Power Bank available for sale at my local Best Buy, which has enough power to allow for up to 80 photos to be printed. It is ON my 'to-buy' list. It can even re-charge my cell phone with its built in USB Port. This little baby can be the 'life' of a party, at family events, or any group get-together. My teenage nephew would love to have this Sprocket to take to his friends' Birthday Party, Tailgating, and informal meet-ups with his circle of friends.
** Summary – I love this little HP Sprocket Studio Printer. It takes great photos of my Grand Kids and family, but more important for me and Grandma it creates fantastic, visual memories. YooHoo! It is a great replacement for those 'Instant Cameras', because the prints last almost indefinitely, take a little moisture, and are smear resistant. The printer is not expensive, nor are the cartridges, and photo papers. I highly recommend the purchase of

Home Mapping AI With Row By Row Vacuuming – WOW!

Had an older robot vacuum that did a decent job of cleaning, but took over two days to clean my Living, Dining Rooms, Kitchen, and Hallway. Besides it would stop after several hours because the small Dust Bin would fill up fast, and, required emptying. So, when I had the opportunity to review this Shark IQ Robot™ Vacuum R100 with Wi-Fi & Home Mapping in exchange for the product I was excited to see what Home Mapping with Row By Row AI could do. My first impression out of the box was this Shark IQ is well built. It has two generously sized, and tensioned, drive wheels to power it over all kinds of carpeting. throw rugs, door mats, and floor transition strips. It has a front caster wheel, which can rotate 360 degrees allowing it turn completely around along with responsive, directional mobility. The dual-spinning, front-side brushes rotate 360 degrees constantly for outstanding edge and corner cleaning. It has protective bumpers at the front sides of the unit, which gently move inwards as shock absorbers, when they make contact with my furniture. WooHoo! The self-cleaning brush roll is heavy duty, and accommodates all types of flooring, and especially made for picking up and vacuuming pet hair. The self-cleaning brush roll is ingenious. Top side of this baby features convenient, on-board controls. I can manually press for 'Clean', 'Dock', and enable the Home Mapping Navigation Module and IQ Sensors. This little Sharkie weighs approximately 5.7 pounds, with a cleaning path of approximately 5.6 inches.
Why do I love my little Sharkie:
* It travels fairly fast, compared to my last robot, and, has superior vacuuming suction. Great job of picking up pet hair, dander, and Grand Kids debris from outside play. YooHoo!
* Setting-Up Sharkie. Sharkie is on the 2.4 GHz radio frequency. The advantage of the 2.4GHz radio frequency is that it enables a longer range of use. Ideal for Sharkie traveling throughout your house. As long as your router has the 2.4GHz frequency program your cell to 2.4GHz in the settings menu on your cell phone. This will enable Sharkie to connect to your home's Wi-Fi network through your phone. Once Sharkie is connected you can always reset your cell back to the 5 GHz frequency. It is easy to do and the Sharkie App will prompt you during set-up.
* Indicator Lights on Sharkie. There are three Indicator lights; one illuminates when connected to Wi-Fi, The Error Light, which is Red; and another the Battery Charge Indicator Light. Full Charge is solid blue; Partial is half of the Battery Icon in Blue; and Red when Low Charge is indicated on the Battery Icon.
* Home Mapping with Row By Row (AI) for efficiency and better cleaning. I have thick carpeting and can now tell where Sharkie was. His large, tensioned, drive wheels leave a little path. It is so cool. Before my last Vac-Bot just meandered wherever, and often going over the same paths numerous times. Sharkie saves time, and requires less docking for re-charges as he does cleaning Row by Row. I can get my four main living areas clean in less then one day. The best feature of Home Mapping is that I can choose which rooms to clean as Sharkie maps each one, individually. Another great feature about Sharkie is that he knows where he stopped for recharging and goes right back to where he stopped to continue vacuuming. However It took Sharkie approximately two weeks to learn the mapping of my home, accurately. Do NOT relocate Sharkie during this process because he will start all over again from the new dock location. I can easily go into the Shark App on my Cell and initiate any, or, selective, individual room cleaning at any time from anywhere. How cool is that?
* Sharkie is quiet and does not scare Cassie (Golden Retriever). Cassie was curious the first week, but, now acts as if Sharkie is part of our family.
* Additionally, Sharkie can accept voice commands with either Amazon Alexa or Google.
* Shark App – The most important feature is that you can instruct Sharkie from your cell phone anywhere you have a cell signal to start general cleaning, or just clean a specific room. He furnishes maps, and history of the square footage he has cleaned and the various run and cleaning times. I can set the date and time I want Sharkie to start and change the set cleaning times at any time. Sharkie App also has references to the User Manual, Quick Start, and Set-Up Tips & Tricks.
* The XL Dust Bin holds .2 Gal, or 46.2 cubic inches, generous size, for a robot vacuum. Except for the days my Grand Kids visit. Sharkie only needs emptying every second day. I operate Sharkie every other day in the week. I shakeout my filter every time I empty the Dust Bin.
* One Year Warranty.

TIPs – When setting-up the Wi-Fi for Sharkie. Place the Docking Charger as close as possible to the center of the area of cleaning activities, and, as close to your router as possible. Do not place your boundary strips in the same room with the docking charger. Have extra filters on hand. They can get dirty quickly depending on what is being vacuumed. The filter is replaceable, but, NOT washable.
After three weeks of continuous use I highly recommend the purchase of the Shark IQ Robot Vacuum. The Artificial Intelligence built-in to the mapping of your home's rooms for cleaning is outstanding. The Row by Row vacuuming is so efficient and productive. A lot of tech packed into this baby for its price point. Did I mention the powerful suction? Cleaning up pet hair is a challenge. However this Sharkie is designed to do just that. It would make a great gift for those newlyweds, special family member or friend. Buy one for yourself you won't be disappointed.

Coffee House Expresso In My Home – DIY Barista

I leaped at the opportunity to review this DeLonghi - DINAMICA Coffee Maker and Espresso Machine in exchange for the product. WoW, what an awesome expresso coffee machine! It provides me with all the programmable options to have Excellent, Coffee House Expresso in my own home. WooHoo!
Out of the box this baby is pretty much ready to go, except for some cleaning of the water tank. I strongly recommend that any new user thoroughly read the included User Manual before going any further. At my age the smaller print in the User Manual is a challenge. So, I downloaded the larger version (8” x 11 1/2” page size) at the DeLonghi website. It is much easier to read and highlight the most important features and numerous programmable options for future use. There is a 'learning-curve' to operate this machine to your particular tastes and kinds of coffee delight. It is also pretty easy-to-use and operator-friendly. This automatic Expresso Machine is a finely engineered piece of equipment designed specifically to deliver delicious coffee. It allows me to program various settings to my own individual, taste preferences. After two weeks of daily use and getting familiar with all of the operational choices - I have personalized my DeLonghi to make and enjoy excellent Espressos, Lattes, Cappuccinos and Iced coffees. YooHoo!

Before I go much further in this review I have to emphasize the three most important components of great-tasting coffee:
(1) Fresh water with little, and, or, no hardness is critical for robust-tasting coffee. DeLonghi includes a replaceable filter to be used in the water tank if your water tests hard. On the inside of the User Manual is a water hardness test strip for your convenience. Fortunately my well-water is pre-filtered for hardness and tested no hardness (all green blocks - see attached test strip photo). I do not need to use the furnished filter. Great tasting water adds to the richness and purity of the coffee. It also makes clean-up so much easier too.
(2) Best prime, coffee beans available; Non-oily, whole medium roast Arabica beans from Latin America, Africa or Southeast Asia are DeLonghi's preferred choice. I have experimented with both medium and dark roasted beans – indescribably delicious using both varieties.
(3) Coffee Machine designed to deliver the best brewed coffee, which you can adjust too your very own personal tastes. This DeLonghi Expresso Coffee Maker is fantastic, automatic, and programmable.
(2) Best prime, coffee beans available; Non-oily, whole medium roast Arabica beans from Latin America, Africa or Southeast Asia are DeLonghi's preferred choice. I have experimented with both medium and dark roasted beans – indescribably delicious using both varieties.

Here is why I Love this DeLongi DINAMICA Coffee Maker and Espresso Machine:
** Excellent Tasting Expresso – The most important reason why anyone would buy this amazing coffee machine in the first place. DeLonghi has allowed me to become a DIY Barista. No more out of the way cafes and waiting in line for chain, coffee house Expresso. What I can brew and personalize at home is outstanding and superior to any chain, coffee houses, IMHO. Creamy, and velvety-smooth Expresso shots created my way with rich foaming froth. Yippee! My wife loves her Espresso Macchiato brewed on this DeLonghi and says it's absolutely the best she ever tasted with a thick, heavy layer of frothed half and half for extra richness. Yummy! And, this DeLonghi can also make delicious Lattes, Cappuccinos, and Iced Coffee too. How cool is that?
** User Friendly Controls – At the front face of this unit is an 'easy-to-use' touch panel, which displays icons that are uncomplicated and intuitive. Some of the lighted icons have a double function. The User Manual explains the various options of these icons and they are simple to understand. I kept my manual handy near my DeLongi for quick reference the first week. But, the Learning Curve was pretty easy, the more I used the machine. After the first week of use I began to turn into a DIY Barista. Love it!
** Build & Placement - Modernistic black body and Stainless Steel trim, blends in with any decor. Dimensions are; Approximately 14” high, fits comfortably underneath my top cabinets on the counter; Depth of unit is approximately 17”deep from front of unit to back; Width is approximately 9 ½”. DeLonghi recommends that this unit should not be placed near sinks or water taps to avoid water damage and specifies clearances to dissipate the generated heat. Since it fits comfortably on any of my counter spaces, I have many placement choices.
** Whole Beans & Grounds – This versatile unit allows me to use either or.... I prefer whole beans because when the grinder does its magic the aroma is unbelievable, and the coffee is so much more fresher. However, this unit includes a grounds-coffee measuring scoop if you so desire. One scoop per shot, and, only one cup at a time. One level scoop of ground coffee inserted into the pre-ground coffee funnel allows me to make an Expresso, Double Shot, or conventional cup of coffee, approximately 5.5 Oz.
** The Expresso Experience – If you are a coffee-lover like me you know what I am describing. This DeLonghi Expresso Coffee Maker allows me the flexibility of 'hands-on' using this automatic coffee maker. Making any 'shot' I can vary the temperature of the coffee, strength, and reset the grinding adjustment dial (13 settings) according to the type of whole beans I am using. Adjustment may be needed for creamier, weak, or slow dripping coffee. When the grinder is adjusted correctly the aromatic oils create a rich and delicious golden crema.
** Quick Heat-Up – Dimonica features a 40 second heat-up time before it starts to brew my coffee. The user-friendly settings make my morning cup of Expresso quick and FUN to use. I always 'rinse' the unit before making any coffee after a whole day. Simply press the 'OK' icon on the touch screen.
** Programmable Settings – Now, this is the 'FUN Part' of this outstanding unit. There are default settings built-in to this automatic coffee maker. However, I can re-program over any 'default' settings to brew Expresso to my individual taste and preferences.
(1) Water Hardness – Based on the number of red blocks on your water test strip, from 1 through 4 (Default setting is 4). This should be the first setting you adjust according to your water hardness. This setting affects the number of times descaling may be required.
(2) Temperature – This allows me to set how hot I want the water in my coffee from low, medium, high, and to maximum. I use 'maximum'.
(3) Auto-Off – This setting allows me to switch the machine OFF automatically after 15 or 30 minutes, one hour, two hours, or 3 hours. I use the 15 minute setting.
(4) Energy Saving – By Default this feature is 'active'. I can disable or enable it.
(5) Beep – The 'beep' sound can be enabled or disabled.
(6) Reset Values – This setting will reset the Temperature, Auto-Off, Water Hardness, Energy Saving, All Quantity settings back to Default.
(7) Coffee Grinder – A manual dial is pre-set at the factory, but, has 13 adjustable settings for the built-in steel burr grinder.
(8) Rinsing – This is actually a 'Manual' setting, but important to mention since it cleans the coffee spouts. It is always good practice to rinse these spouts before use. Again, just press the 'OK' Icon on the touch screen.
(9) Frother & Steam Wand – The Frother spout is controlled by a manual dial on the front face of the unit over the spout. The frother allows me to mix steam and milk, half and half, or whipping cream to create luxurious, creamy froth to use on my Macchiatos, Cappuccinos, and Lattes. The Frother Wand can also dispense hot water. My wife has used it by filling a standard-sized cup and tossing in a tea bag for hot tea. Cool!
(10) Cup Volume – The touch screen on the face of this unit has lighted icons showing the various 'shot' and cup sizes. I simply press the icon for one I want.

Customized Sound, Comfort, & Feature-Packed App

Reviewing these Jaybird Vista Wireless Sport Headphones has been an adventure in discovering the multitude of ways to enjoy them. Having reviewed several of these wireless, sport ear buds before, the Jaybird Vista is now my favorite. I have to lead off with the sound quality of these sport ear buds because at the end of the day, it is the most important feature. It is why we choose any pair of ear buds in the first place. Jaybird Vista sound emanates from the 6mm milled drivers in each ear bud. Coupled with the Custom EQ control in the Jaybird App, and, the sound quality settings are endless. After several weeks of daily use this is the most interesting feature of these ear buds IMHO.
So, why do I think these are my favorite sport ear buds ever?
* Sound – Jaybird gives me the ability to customize my listening preferences through its Jaybird App. The App is available through Google Play or the Apple App Store. I can customize my own personal sound preferences using the EQ, or, use any number of EQ furnished Presets. I can also 'Save' and name any of my own customized EQ settings. I can even add a genre selection of music that I prefer. How cool is that? At first I was a little disappointed that SBC Codec was used instead of any of the newer, High Resolution Audio Codecs, like aptX, LDAC and AAC. However, having the ability to customize the sound quality to my own personal preferences almost boundlessly and save them for my own music genres outweigh the use of any HRA Codecs. Stereo Channel separation is clear, detailed, and full bodied.
* Fit and Comfort – Next to sound quality these are also important features. On my daily runs these ear buds are so lightweight and easy to wear. They do not stress any part of my ears. Each ear bud body is marked clearly R or L. Out of the box I had my doubts because of their small size and wing tips. However, they fit securely enough for me to run and work out. Since I have one ear a little bigger then the other I use the Number Two tip in my Left ear and the Number Three tip in my Right. This combination fits me perfectly. WooHoo! Jaybird furnishes three pairs of eargels (small, medium, and large). The last few weeks we have had lots of rain. I have had no issues with the Jaybird ear buds in the rain because they have an IPX7 waterproof rating. Cleaning the eargels is pretty easy too. I clean my eargels every second day by removing the ear tip and washing with antibacterial hand soap, then, rinse in warm water and dry.
* Jaybird App - The Jaybird App is downloadable and Free. It is compatible with Apple devices running iOS 11 and above and Android 6.0 and above. The folks at Logitech did an outstanding job in the design and numerous features of this App. It is feature-packed and very comprehensive. Especially, when it comes to customizing my sound quality choices. This App also allows me to enable or disable Voice Prompts. It can find my ear buds if I misplaced or lost them through the 'Find Your Buds' feature. I can see the present status of my battery charge and my connected devices. I can choose music to play from shared 'Playlists' (Sign-Up is required). I can also set the 'Auto-Shutoff' time through this App (15 or 60 minutes or always ON). This App will also inform me when there is a firmware update. I expect future updates will introduce new ideas in listening quality features. * Playtime and Battery – Because of my set volume levels I approach nearly 4 hours of continued use with these ear buds. However, there is another 10 hours of charge in the case when it is fully charged (8 hours they way I use them). The case takes a little over 3 hours to fully charge, and the buds approximately 2 hours to fully charge. When the case is charging with the included type “C” charging cable, it pulses White. When fully charged the LED is solid White. When I place both ear buds in the charging case they automatically turn OFF and begin to charge. They are magnetically held in place inside the charging case. When I take the ear buds out of the charging case they automatically turn ON.
* Phone Calls – I use Siri with one-touch of either ear bud to call a phone number for me. One-touch also allows me to answer a phone call. The sound is crystal clear according to the folks I have called. It is also noteworthy to mention that you can customize a single or double-touch press function using the Jaybird App.
* Pairing Versatility – The Jaybird Vista Eargels can pair to any Bluetooth devices, cell phone, tablet, laptop, smart watch, etc. I was able to pair these buds within a minute to my Apple cell. I just received a Samsung Smart Watch as a Birthday gift and am looking forward to pair my watch and ear buds. All I have to do is download some music playlists to my watch and I can then leave my cell at home. YooHoo!
* Convenience – I travel a lot and really appreciate the hard-backed, charging case. There is a handy, dandy loop built-in to the case, which will allow simple attachment to a key chain, purse, or, whatever you may wish to attach it too. It conveniently protects my ear buds and charges too. Whoopie Doo!
* Shortcomings – None.
* Conclusion – The Logitech folks, who designed these Jaybird Vista Wireless Sport Headphones have hit a home-run. They are the best-fitting, most comfortable, App-driven, sport, ear buds with the highest quality of customizable sound enjoyment I have ever experienced. I highly recommend these Jaybird Vista Eargels to anyone, who really appreciates outstanding audio reproduction while going through daily, physical activities. They can actually enhance the quality of your workout, and inspire musical inspiration to achieve your goals. They are super even if you don't work out. There are several family members on my Christmas List, who will find these under their 'tree' this year. Ho, Ho, Ho!

When I was presented with an opportunity to select this GE Beverage and Wine Cooler in exchange for an honest review I was excited. Two thoughts immediately popped into my mind. I thought to myself maybe this Beverage Center would finally allow me to store our wine at the appropriate temperature instead of constantly over-chilling in my refrigerator. I also thought that my Kitchen would be the foremost place to set up this Beverage and Wine Cooler. Right on the first thought about temperature, and wrong on the placement of this unit.
Upon receiving this Beverage Center I was immediately impressed with the style and build of this unit as I unboxed it. The stainless steel glass, door at the front of a black, finished cabinet is sleek and stylish. This GE unit is designed to be installed under a counter top, or, free-standing, whatever your choices. Although it is a refrigeration appliance, the combination of stainless steel front and black sides make it a classic and modernistic piece of furniture that can be placed anywhere in my home and blend in with the motif. I am pleased!
*** Why do I love this GE Can/Bottle Beverage and Wine Center Cooler? ***
* Versatility – Although I am using my unit as 'free-standing' it can be installed as 'built-in' into any standard cabinetry, Kitchen or Bar, with zero clearance on all sides and back. How cool is that? This GE Cooler can hold up to 125 beverage cans, 31 bottles of wine, or,any combination. Is it an appliance or furniture? I experimented and set it up in four different locations in my home. However, after three weeks of moving it around, I decided to place it in my Living Room. It blends right in and is classy looking (see pics). The temperature range is from 41 F to 61 F, which covers the temps of beverages, and, optimal temps of various wines.
* Installation – As long as the floor is level this Beverage Center is easy to set up. This GE unit features adjustable leveling legs so an 1/8th inch tilt towards the back insures a proper door closure. I used an 18” level to set my unit up. Since I moved this cooler around several times I let it stand for the recommended time of two hours to allow the refrigerant and oil to settle. As a free-standing unit it can be placed anywhere in my house. It only uses 1.5 amps of power so anywhere a lamp is plugged in – this unit can be installed. WooHoo! GE recommends a 115 Volt, AC, 15 or 20 amp outlet with ground. Overall – EZ Install!
* Design – The classic-styled, stainless steel door allows me to visually see all of the contents in my cooler, and, if needed, there is a light switch to illuminate the whole

* Control Settings – The Electronic Control Panel inside, and, at the top of the cooler is so intuitive. You will find the switch, which allows you to illuminate the interior shelving. And, you can also choose temperature settings, like 'Auto-Temperature' setting, which is 44 F for canned beverages, and is indicated by the 'Auto Bev' indicator light in the upper Left Hand Corner of the Control Panel. You can also set the operating temperatures from 41 F to 61 F, manually, by using the touch pad (+) and (–) controls.
Additionally, there is an indicator light, when the compressor is running to cool your unit, is lit. Because I live in North Florida where the Humidity is always High – I love the automatic defrost function, in my A/C controlled environment. It keeps the see-through glass of the front door clear and unfrosted.

* Furniture/Appliance Unit – I was absolutely amazed at how good-looking this unit is and how it fit seamlessly into my overall design. Most of my furniture is of a dark to black pattern. This GE Cooler compliments my entire Living Room, and, it blends in without being 'standout'. This unit has a compressor, which makes noise when it is running. However, after three weeks of use, I can vouch that the compressor noise is hardly noticeable.
* Conclusion – After three weeks of constant use, I am super-pleased at how this unit maintains its set temperature. We no longer have to deal with over-chilled wine from my refrigerator. YooHoo! The most impressive feature of this unit is how it blends in with my existing furniture. It is energy efficient, modernistic in styling, and a welcomed addition to our lifestyle. I highly recommend this GE - 125 Can / 31 Bottle Beverage and Wine Center. This makes a great gift for that special family member or friend. Buy One, it is quality built and designed.

Only Works In Living Room – But Fantastic Reception
Cut the 'cord' five years ago, and have dealt with the Over-The-Air-TV issues ever since. I live in a rural North Florida and the surrounding areas are heavily wooded. On good reception days I can get as many as 21 TV channels. However, good reception is dependent on so many variables like atmospheric and weather conditions, leaves on trees, line of sight to the towers, distance from the towers, building interference, and a host of other kinds of things. I was presented with an opportunity to review an RCA Amplified Indoor Flat HDTV Multi-Directional Antenna in exchange for the product. I had nothing to lose, so I was anxious to try this antenna out to see if it could improve my TV reception and make it more stable, less pixelated and uninterrupted.
Since I had four Smart TVs with poor reception, I first, installed this antenna in my Family Room. After scanning I picked up the same amount of channels, but greatly improved the reception on six of them. I kept the antenna in the family room for several more days to see if anything would further improve – it didn't happen. So, I moved this antenna to each of the bedrooms to check out the quality of reception. Both bedrooms were pretty much the same scenario of the Family Room. My Living Room is on the opposite end of the house from my Family Room and bedrooms. After setting up the antenna in the Living Room I went to the RCA Signal Finder app and positioned the antenna the same direction the app indicated for my other three rooms. I was immediately amazed at how good the TV reception was on all 21 channels. The colors were more vibrant, deeper, brighter, and, I felt I was finally receiving 1080i reception. WooHoo!
The RCA Amplified Antenna obviously will work great when the variables of good TV reception are in place. A lesson I learned - Replace your old cable, replace your old splitter, couplings, and wall plates and flyleads. Your TV reception is only as good as its weakest point. After installing the RCA Amplified Antenna in my Living Room I discovered the antenna I was using was not multi-directional, the cable was nicked in several places and over 30 years old, and the coupling was oxidized. Replaced all of it. YIKES! This RCA antenna has been in my Living Room for over a week now and the reception has been exceptionally good, no interference, no choppy sound, or pixelation, whatsoever. YooHoo!
I highly recommend this RCA Amplified Indoor Flat HDTV Multi-Directional Antenna at locations in your home where it will be able to take advantage of good TV reception variables. One thing I have learned is that antennas will work well in some places of your home, but maybe not in others. They need to be placed as high up as possible and nearest windows. Don't be afraid to move them around and try different locations

The interior oven measures approximately 10" x 13" x 14", which is approximately, slightly larger then one cubic foot. Ninja folks say you can cook a 12 pound bird in the oven. I don't think weight has that much to do with it. I cooked a five pound Pot Roast and it was dwarfed in this oven (see pic). Probably could of cooked 15 pounds of Pot Roast. Based on my experiences. . . .You can easily cook 10 or more pounds of Turkey Breast in this oven (as long as it is contained in a 12" x 12" x 12'' area. . . .Hope this helps.

I easily get 12 hours of battery life over two days of use. I think I could get at least several more hours if I didn't stream movies for entertainment at night in my motel room when I am out of town. This baby is powerful and fast. My guess is that if you just do word documents and e-mail you will come close to 17 hours of battery life.. . .

This unit will allow you to download Apps from the Google Play Store. I downloaded MS Word and Excel although Google Docs is an excellent word processing software too. Google also has fine presentation software also.
The touch display screen is bright and clear and wide enough 16:9 aspect, so that two pages of a word document can be displayed at one time if so desired. Great for students. It features a center-placed trackpad, which is adjustable for sensitivity. The keys on the keyboard are backlit and can be adjusted for brightness level. Only an Android smart phone can connect through BT to lock the unit and turn it on, if you wish. It will also allow you to send and receive messages from your phone and, or Pixelbook. This Pixelbook does utilize the voice commands of the Google Assistant also. There are thousands of Apps at the Play Store, and in my opinion, this Chrome OS rivals Windows and Mac for productivity. Chrome OS is a simple easy to learn system. It is NOT bloated like Windows or Mac so a high end processor, RAM memory, or huge hard drive is not needed. Cloud backups is available. This is a sold unit for school-related productivity, note taking, and entertainment too. It is great for creating and editing word processing and spreadsheets, e-mail, and surfing the web for information. But it is NOT a gamer or able to do heavy graphics and photo editing.

When door is open 90 degrees how far does the door extend beyond the side? Can it be installed flush against a wall on the hinge side?

YES - The door can be extended beyond 90 degrees. However, it would have to protrude a couple of inches out from the 'flush' side of the cabinetry to fully extend against a wall. When the unit is free-standing the Right-Side-Handed-Door can extend approximately 145 degrees from its fully closed position. Hope this helps. . . .

I have the Bose QC 35 Headphones and just received the Jabra Elite 85h Headphones for review. In my opinion the Jabra 85h has the superior Noise Cancelling tech. Jabra uses AI (artificial Intelligence) in its Active Noise Cancelling profiles. It basically analyzes the noise backgrounds you are currently in, and changes your ANC to match your audio environment.
I was out at my pool listening to Pandora when my neighbor started to trim his hedges. My Jabra headphones changed my listening environment within ten seconds so I did NOT hear his noisy clippers. I love this tech. Additionally, the Bose QC 35 should not be in an outside environment, especially a moist one (I live in North Florida - Hot & Humid). Jabra 85h is rainproof and dustproof, and I have no problem taking these headphones outside. In my opinion the Jabra Sound App offers more features and settings then Bose. However, Bose has the superior sound over BT. When I connected a 3.5mm jack from my amp-receiver to each headphone set I could not tell any noticeable difference. Both headphones were able to be manipulated by my amp's EQ and responded accordingly. Bose has the better (HRAs) High Resolution Audio codecs to transmit CD quality music over BT. But, Bose is a lot more expensive too. For the price point, in my opinion, Jabra Elite 85h is less expensive, and features better AI and ANC technology. Both are outstanding over-the-ear earphones.
