Home/Office/Family AOI With Numerous Features

To begin with Brother has been making business technology equipment for over one hundred years. They have proven to be quality-built, dependable, and reliable through these many years. So, I jumped at the chance to review this Brother MFC-J4535DW (AIO) INKvestment Tank Inkjet Printer in exchange for the actual product. Was very interested in the ink-tank printers because they have a larger ink reservoir and hold much more ink then a standard inkjet cartridge. The have proven to last longer between cartridge changes and much more cost effective if you have a larger volume of printing tasks.
Here is why I am impressed with this Brother INKvestment Tank Inkjet Printer:
** SETUP – Pretty easy by following the included 'Quick Setup Guide'. I found the steps indicated in this guide were detailed with helpful illustrations. The ink tank cartridges are front loading and facing, and snap, easily into place. Within 30 minutes I was ready to print. Most of the hardware printer setup can be done on the 2.7 LCD adjustable, touchscreen including the Wi-Fi connection to my router. However, it did take longer to download and install the full driver and software package on my laptop. I also downloaded and installed additional software Brother has available, PaperPort, for my Home-Office document use.
** CONNECTION – I had my choice of a wireless Wi-Fi connection to my home router, USB, or Ethernet direct wired connections. I preferred the Wi-Fi setup to my home network so I could also use my desktop, tablet, phone, and both laptops for printing tasks. Also wanted my Grand Kids to have their mobile devices connected wirelessly since they visit me almost everyday after school, and have homework to print out. Additionally, devices can be connected through Wi-Fi Direct.
** PRINT QUALITY – My home office documents are sharp, professional looking, and easy to read. They can easily be adjusted for more printer options using the 2.7 LCD, on-board touchscreen. The black tank cartridge can produce approximately 2300 pages of printed material. The Red, Blue, and Yellow cartridges can produce approximately 1200 pages of color. Hopefully, that will meet my Grand Kids printing needs for a long time. WooHoo! Color printing is FUN again without the worry of depleting the color cartridges quickly. I printed out several of my Grand Kids end-of-school-photos, and they did quite nicely. However, I do not recommend using glossy photo paper with this tank-ink. Flat or non-glossy photo paper works well.
** ALL IN ONE – This printer allows me to print, copy, scan, and fax. I did not setup the fax. Copies are produced at 1200 x 1200 dpi, and allow me many options like 'fit-to-page', 'base-color-removal', watermark, etc. Copies can also be Reduced/Enlarged 25% - 400% in 1% increments. The auto-document feeder holds up to 20 pages. The scanning function is very fast and duplicates colors accurately.
** PAPER CAPACITY – Approximately 400 pages using Main Paper Tray and the By-Pass Tray. Both trays will accept up to 8.5" x 14" (legal size), Letter, 4x6, 5x8, 3.5x5, 5x7, and A4 and photo paper with borderless printing.
** BROTHER SOFTWARE – I Print & Scan is a great app. It gives me a multitude of options to print out documents, and, or images. Additional software is available like Brother Creative Center, which allows me to create cards, brochures, announcements, etc. from hundreds of stock templates. My Grand Kids want me to explore more of this Creative Center for their own personal FUN. YooHoo!
In summary this Brother is packed with high-end features found in more expensive printers. This is my ideal Home/Office/Family printer. I have not found my first dislike of this printer. For its price-point and the numerous functions this Brother MFC-J4535DW provides it is a 'bargain'. I highly recommend the purchase of this Brother INKvestment Tank Inkjet Printer. You will NOT be disappointed.

Versatile, Powerful Laptop For Work Or Home

It's been over 20 years since I had any experience with an AMD Processor Chip. I included one in the 'Mother-Board' of a computer I assembled and built as a Home-Desktop in the late 90's (Those were the 'Days'!). At the time 'cost' was a major factor, so I went with the less expensive processor, AMD, and was NOT disappointed. I mostly used my Desktop for 'word-processing', presentations, and photo storage and my AMD did a fantastic job. I could easily open several documents and work on them, simultaneously. YooHoo!
Both AMD an Intel started producing semi-conductor products approximately around 1968/69. So, they have a multitude of computer processor experience. I was anxious to run this AMD Ryzen™ 5000 Series Mobile Processor with Built-in AMD Radeon™ Graphics, and put them through their paces. I expected this laptop to multi-task for me on-the-job, out of town, and at home. WoW! With up to six-cores in this AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Mobile Processor it is amazing for job-productivity, document editing, and even entertainment. Outstanding for multitasking.
What's to LIKE about this Dell - Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 14.0" Touch-Screen Laptop - AMD Ryzen 5 - 8GB Memory - 256GB Solid State Drive?
* DESIGN & BUILD – Lightweight Aluminum casing only weighs three pounds and five ounces. I can easily carry this laptop in my backpack on any of my job-sites. I did not truly realize this casing was Blue until I had it outside on the job in bright sunlight. It is beautiful sort of a metallic blue/gray tint. It is not only super-portable, but super-powerful too, and less then an inch thick. Flip and Fold, 2 IN 1 design. Yet, delvers 2k HD resolution on a thin-beveled Touch Screen, which is almost borderless. The hinges are specially designed for advanced heat dissipation. They keep air flowing through the back of my machine to keep my laptop device always cool. Dell hinges have been proven (by me) to be the finest constructed for 2 in 1 and 3 in 1 laptop configurations. Have broken hinges on two expensive laptops I purchased earlier, which cost more to repair then the units are worth only after one year. YUK! Additionally, these well-designed hinges elevate my keyboard slightly for more comfortable typing. Did I mention the keys are also illuminated?
* VISUAL – The built-in AMD Radeon™ Graphics chipset with shared video memory provides solid image quality for Internet use, movies, basic photo editing, and Pen & Ink creations. The coloring is vivid and sharp.
* SOUND - MaxxAudio® Pro. The Built-in stereo speakers surprised me for their quality. I was expecting the usual 'cheesy' sounding, tinny speakers. So, I was pleasantly surprised. Although the sound was good playing music and videos, I am going to pair this unit with a separate BT speaker for even more enhanced listening pleasure.
* PRODUCTIVITY – This is an excellent laptop for work, home, and multitasking. The AMD Ryzen 5 Processor can handle everything I threw at it.
* BATTERY LIFE – I got approximately 9 hours of constant use on my construction sites and back in the motel. Conveniently, there are three charging modes from which to choose from. How cool is that?
* HARD SPECS – 8GB RAM Memory (Can be Upgraded); 256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive (Can be Upgraded) Sold State Drie allows for faster start-ups; Wireless AX, WiFi 6 (Maybe time to Upgrade my Router?); Additional ports - USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A (x2), USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (x1), HDMI 1.4, Micro SD Media Card Reader - 1 combo headphone / microphone jack. It also has a 'finger-print' reader for more secure 'sign-in';
* OTHER INCLUDED FEATURES – Privacy slide cover for webcam. WooHoo! Webcam has a feature to follow your face if desired. (I will not be using that feature). Front facing webcam/camera s 720p, which is more then enough for my needs. An MS Office Trial and McAfee 30 Day Trial is offered in the software.
I love the versatility of this laptop and its 'power'. Great for my work in construction Inspections and at home too. For all of its numerous features this unit is priced in the lower, mid-range by Dell. It is a bargain, and would make a great gift for that upcoming Grad. I highly recommend this Dell - Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 14.0" Touch-Screen Laptop. Dell has hit a Home Run with this laptop.

Professional Barber Quality Hair & Beard Trimmer

Since the Pandemic started I have NOT had a 'Store-Bought' haircut since March, 2020. My medical condition and treatments suppress my immune system. Therefore, I am easily prone to infections, which can be dangerous for me. My Oncologist has advised me to avoid any gatherings of people and no Barber, or other personal services, like going to the Gym. I eventually learned through my trial and error, 'School of Bad Haircuts' to finally get a decent trim using just a pair of sharp scissors and a comb. It took a little patience and a helpful wife.
I jumped at the chance to review the Bevel Cordless Professional Grade Hair and Beard Trimmer in exchange for the product. I envisioned this Bevel Hair Trimmer would actually replace my scissors and streamline this whole haircut process. It Did. WooHoo! I have learned to trim my hair with my comb cutting only a half-inch of hair at the most at a time. I got so comfortable with my hair trimming I did it pretty much every 2 to 3 weeks. I found that for me cutting a little hair at a time resulted in a much more uniform look. My wife agreed so I know it's RIGHT. YooHoo!
When I first received this Bevel Hair Trimmer I was taken back by how simple this unit was, and, there were NO complicated instructions or cutting hair tips. After all this is a Professional Grade, Barber Hair Trimmer, and Professional Barbers go to School to earn their skills. For me this Bevel NOT only replaced my scissors, but made my ear, neck, and sideburns trimming fast and accurate.
Here are the Features I think make this Professional Bevel stand out above the rest:
* DESIGN & BUILD – The body of this unit was designed to be comfortably held, non-slip, and easily rotated in your hand. There are 13 bevels, each approximately 9/16th inches wide, at the center of this unit. The gripping bevels surrounding the body of this trimmer are tapered at the top and bottom. Thus, the name Bevel for this hair trimmer. At the very bottom of this unit's body is the detachable lithium battery housing. There is a Charging/Operating 100V/240V female plug on the end of this unit's housing. Also, the momentary ON/OFF switch is on the detachable battery housing. There is also a retractable hook in the detachable housing for convenience. This unit weighs approximately I pound and 2.4 ounces. It has a solid feel while using it, yet it is NOT heavy in my hand.
* STAINLESS STEEL BLADE UNIT - The main Stainless Steel trimmer blade at the top of this unit snaps ON & OFF easily for adjustment and cleaning. Additionally, the blade head has an an anti-microbial coating. This blade can easily be adjusted by rotating the dial (Left or RIGHT) to anyone's particular preferences including Zero-Gap for sharp, close trimming.
* CHARGING – It took me approximately 2 hours to fully charge my Bevel. These are the following LED, indicator lights at the detachable battery housing: Solid Blue – Fully Charged; Flashing Blue – More then 15 minutes of Battery; and Flashing White – Less then 15 minutes of Battery. This Bevel will operate as a 'Cordless' for approximately 6 hours using constant power. It can also be plugged in to a 120V outlet and used accordingly. When using it in the plugged in mode, it continues to charge the unit also. It features a 180 day 'Stand-By' time.
* CARE & CLEANING – The Snap/ON/OFF blade unit is easily cleaned with the included brush. It can also be wiped with a damp cloth for more stubborn debris and dirt. Since I use this unit every 2 or 3 weeks I lightly oil the blades with each use after a thorough cleaning.
* INCLUDED IN BOX – Bevel Hair Trimmer, Square Blade, Charging Cable, Cleaning Brush, Blade Oil, Soft Drawstring Bag, and two sample packs of Face-Gel.
* CONS – No hard protective case to store this unit for travel. Soft drawstring bag is included, but offers little protection. No blade guard to protect the SS cutting blades. Steep Learning Curve for folks, who are not familiar with basic hair cutting and trimming.
For my situation this Bevel is an Outstanding Professional Hair Trimmer, and I highly recommend it. I may never get a 'Barber-Haircut' again. If you want the best this Bevel is your baby. It would make an spectacular gift for that 'Special' guy, family member, or friend on your list, who takes pride in his appearance, and is 'IN to personal grooming.

Inexpensive DVD Player With High-End Features

Because of the Pandemic and Self-Quarantine my wife and I ordered many full DVD series of our favorite shows to escape boredom. We ordered them 'on-line' from Best Buy and had them delivered to our home. Some of them included the complete DVD series of Frasier, Everybody Loves Raymond, Golden Girls, and Becker to name a few of our favorites. Our decade-old DVD player did a decent job of playing these DVDs for the most part, but would constantly skip when I least expected it. Even though I ran the sound through my AV Amplifier it was disappointing, not energizing or full-bodied.
So, when I had an opportunity to review the Sony Blu-Ray Disc/DVD Player, BDP-BX370 in exchange for the actual product I was excited. What was interesting for me to note is that this Sony cost only a third of what my older DVD player did. And, it is a high resolution, Blu-Ray with numerous other features and updated sound codecs. We can now play Blu-Ray Discs, which would NOT play on our older unit. WooHoo! My wife bought the complete Downton Abbey series from Best Buy and all of the 21 Disc-Set was Blu-Ray. Our older DVD player read these discs as an 'error' in the reading process. This Sony allows us to play them in high visual definition (1080P) on our 'Smart-TV'. My wife is 'super-happy'. What is also impressive is that the sound connected through my high-end AV Receiver is dynamic, robust, and fully adjustable using my 'equalizers'. LOVE IT!
The footprint of this Sony Blu-Ray player is amazing. It is a scant 9 1/8 inches Wide by 7 ¾ inches Deep, and only 1 and 9/16 inches High. It weighs approximately 1 Pound and 13 Ounces. The 'Learning Curve' of this unit is so intuitive and simple. It took me all of ten minutes to take this unit out of the box, read the directions, and hook-up. YooHoo!
Here are the 'Other' Features this Sony Blu-Ray Disc/DVD Player, BDP-BX370 offers:
* NETWORK CONNECTION– Using a Hard-Wired LAN connection from Sony unit to Home Router.
* Wi-Fi CONNECTION – Using Wireless LAN built into this unit just follow the simple instructions in 'Settings' on the Home Page. Have your router password handy. This is ONLY a 2.4GHz Wireless connection. However, if you plan to do a lot of 'streaming' over the Internet using this Sony I suggest you hard-wire the LAN connection directly from this Sony to your Home Router for more bandwidth.
* APPS– You can choose from a multitude of Apps categorized in 'Settings' on the Home Page. Nice! However, many popular Apps are NOT available at this time.
* REMOTE – Easy to use and responsive. Can incorporate TV settings if applicable code settings are listed as 'controllable' TVs.

* CHILD LOCK – This is important to me concerning my younger Grand Children.

BEST Comprehensive Software For Filing Your Taxes

Am retired and have been Self-Employed for the last eleven years. I work for several Architectural and Engineering firms as a Construction Inspector to ensure the Job Specifications, Procedures, and 'Accepted Construction Practices' are followed according to the contractual agreements. I love this work, and, respect the men and women, who devote their skills and expertise to complete our construction projects.
Most of the projects I visit are out of town, require travel, and sometimes require 3rd party-experts, and, or specialized equipment to validate the integrity of various installation processes. I have lots of job-related expenses, and have to keep good, validated records for re-reimbursement and personal Tax Deductions. I have a Home-Office to prepare finalized, written reports, which require a higher level of office equipment, which includes computer, printer, an additional high end photo printer for Job-Site documentation, ISP, etc.
I have always dreaded TAX time, especially when I had to be busy out of town on the job, and left me little time to bother with my Income Taxes. In the past I have used a nationally known Tax Software with the initials TT. This company covered the 'general' points of income and deductions through their proprietary interview process. If I gave a 'wrong' or 'unsure' answer I was hustled to the next level of their software without any HELP. If I wanted professional Tax HELP I had to pay a premium to engage any of the TT personnel for detailed questions unique to my filing situations. I now realize that by missing some deductions, I was NOT aware of, that I paid a handsome price for using this TT software in addition to its purchase price.
I was so very fortunate to have an opportunity to review the H&R Block Premium 2020 in exchange for an actual Windows digital version. I was excited to explore this TAX Software from a company that has been doing personal income Taxes since 1955. WooHoo!
Here is what I found out about this premium TAX software that is so Outstanding:
* SIMPLE & UNCOMPLICATED - H&R Block Tax Preparation Software is deigned for folks like me, who do not want, and, or cannot go to their Tax Office in person. It allowed me to file my Taxes with all the resources of an in-office visit, by providing constant TAX, professional, on-line help. This H&R Block software has provided me with all the tools necessary to get my maximum TAX Refund, which I am entitled too as a 'Self-Employed' filer. I am confident that H&R Block helped me find every TAX Deduction I deserved. LOVE IT!
* IMPORTS DATA – H&R Block has allowed me to import my last year's TAX filings from TT with a simple 'drag and drop' procedure. H&R Block Software allows me to import Expenses and Income from Quicken, MS Money, any other software that supports the Tax Exchange Format (TXF). I use Quicken 'On-The-Road' to keep track of my numerous expenses.
* ON-LINE SUPPORT – As I went through the TAX Income and Deduction sections there was always 'On-Line' Chat-Help with a TAX Professional available if I needed it. Additionally, I could always refer back to the Help Tab and type in a topic in the 'Search Bar', or, go to the FAQ Section.
* SOFTWARE NAVIGATION - The H&R Block Software Designers included a 'Take Me To Tab', which enabled me to navigate from any point in my return to a topic or area I was concerned about at that particular time. This Tab also includes a 'Search' and 'Forms' section. The following Tabs are always listed at the top in this software: Forms; New/Open; Save; Print; E-File Status and Help. I was most impressed with the Help and Advice concerning my eligible Tax Deductions. It even provided me with Tips and planning for next year's return. This is a very user-friendly program with comprehensive, in-depth, step-by-step assistance.
* PERSONAL TAX PLANNING – This Premium H&R Block Software formulated a 'Tax-Planning Report' for me based on the information I provided in my 2020 Tax Return. It is so valuable to me for planning my next year's return. I printed it out and keep it very visible in my Home Office. I now have an action plan to save on my next year's Taxes, which allows me to take advantage of the newer Tax Laws. YooHoo!
* IN-PERSON AUDIT SUPPORT – Should my 2020 Tax Return be audited H&R Block will provide me with IRS Audit Support: Details preparing me for the actual audit; Help with any necessary correspondence required by the IRS; and an Agent from H&R Block will physically attend the audit with me for professional guidance. How cool is that?
* OTHER FEATURES – Although I live in Florida (No State Income Taxes) H&R Block has included a section for filers to download their state, specific software. Of course E-Filing is included in this Software. One interesting feature allows me to Amend my E-Filed Return should any information change, or I find an error after I submitted the original information. Every time I open up this H&R Block Software it automatically checks for any 'updates' and downloads them accordingly. And, when I file my 2021 Return this software will transfer all of my data into the newer program. Another great feature is that H&R Block allows me to use this software for Four other Family Members so they can also E-File their returns. WOW!
* SUMMARY – I highly recommend this H&R Block Tax Software Premium 2020 for Windows [(Digital). I am so impressed with it's overall design and how easy it is to use and navigate through. I found several new deductions I was entitled too, but never claimed before. YaHoo! I am now an H&R Block Tax Return Filer for Life. If your taxes are involved and require numerous records, this is the software you want to use. For what features are included in this software I amazed at its price-point. This Premium edition is an absolute bargain from a company that has been doing Tax Returns for approximately 65 years.

The physical install is pretty basic and in my opinion any DIY can complete the whole process in 30 to 45 minutes or less. The Lorex folks have done a great job outlining the installation procedures in their included Quick Start Guide. However, you can go to the install videos at their main website, and, or Lorex Home App for more detailed installation. Locating the circuit that powers your existing doorbell chime is very important. This circuit must be de-energized before connecting any of the wires to the new doorbell or electronic chime kit since the standard doorbell transformers have a 120 V power source. Risk of electrical damage to the transformer, and, or Lorex Doorbell can be avoided by shutting off the power to the existing mechanical or electronic door chimes. Once the Lorex Doorbell is installed at the front door, new electronic chime connected, if desired, the power can be turned back 'ON'.
So, what do I think is so great about this Lorex 2K QHD Wired Video Doorbell:
* 2K HDR VIDEO RESOLUTION – The 2,560-by-1,920-pixel resolution, 4:3 aspect ratio, excellent HDR color, even at night time, and the 164 degree field of view is just the kind of quality and feature I wanted from this Lorex unit. What I really love about this video is the 8 times digital zoom that I can display on my phone for for more expanded details. WooHoo!
* LOERX HOME APP – FREE and easy to download and install from the Apple App or Google Play stores. This app walked me through the installation and set up of my Lorex Doorbell. I had to establish an account, but there were NO Subscription Fees to use this App or any of it numerous features. There is an 'On-Board' 32 GB SD card, which can be upgraded to 256 GB if desired. For my purposes 32 GB should be more than enough. I customized my individualized Lorex Doorbell settings; Person Detection, Activate Status LED ON Detection, Night Light Mode, Shared Users, Doorbell Quick Responses, and Video Settings.
* PERSON/MOTION DETECTION – Sensitivity can be adjusted for the actual detection level desired and Person Detection can be customized for each unique situation. I love that I can actually determine the Person Detection Area using these little squares in the App. I can configure my Lorex to record video only when a person has been detected. The App also allows me to speak in real-time, two-way audio. I can video and record with whomever is at my front door. I can also program the Lorex to play a preset or quick response when the doorbell button is pressed. I can also activate an internal siren from the app if I want to scare off unwanted visitors or large uninvited creatures. How cool is that?
* LED ACTIVATION STATUS ON DETECTION - The Lorex 2K features a surprisingly bright LED nightlight that shines down from the bottom of the doorbell. This can be scheduled to turn on at a given time, or you can program it to light up—or even flash—when motion is detected.
* LED ACTIVATION STATUS ON DETECTION - The Lorex 2K features a surprisingly bright LED nightlight that shines down from the bottom of the doorbell. This can be scheduled to turn on at a given time, or you can program it to light up—or even flash—when motion is detected.
* NIGHT LIGHT MODE - I can program the nite-lite to turn ON when motion is detected, or as a nite-lite feature; ON at a set time while it is dark, OFF at a set time during daylight.
* SHARED USERS – Using the Lorex App I can allow family or neighbors to view my Lorex Doorbell motion events, doorbell activation and stored videos. Be aware that each user you allow will have to register for a Lorex account.
* DOORBELL RESPONSES – Using the App I can select pre-recorded doorbell responses, or, even record my own personal messages. What I really like about this feature is that if I am not going to be home, and expecting certain relatives or visitors I can leave them a customized message with instructions. WoW!
* VIDEO SETTINGS – I can choose my own personal video settings. Default is 1080p, but I can change that to 2K, HDR using the App.
* SPEAKER QUALITY - The speaker of this Lorex is at the very bottom of this unit and not readily visible. Sounds are crisp, clear, and good quality.
* NO SUBSCRIPTION FEES – Probably the best feature of this Lorex 2K QHD Wired Video Doorbell besides its outstanding performance is I do NOT have to pay monthly subscription fees like so many other video doorbell manufacturers require. YooHoo!
I highly recommend this Lorex 2K QHD Wired Video Doorbell for additional home security. It is cost effective for all the numerous features it offers. The motion response to my phone was fantastic over my home Wi-Fi Router and Cellular Network. I love it.

Clean, Healthy, Breathable Air & Pollen-Free

Living in rural, North Central Florida, surrounded by Pine Forests is a dual-edged sword. In cooler times of the year my country air is pretty fresh and invigorating. However, as soon as February rolls around the thousands of Conifers in my locale begin to pollinate. They produce enormous amounts of yellowish-green pollen carried by the winds. The pollen is so heavy it coats my car, roof, patio, outdoor furniture and equipment, and ponds near me. It goes on for six to eight weeks. Then, the Oak Tree pollen starts. YUK!
My wife and I have lived in our rural home for 45 years. We love our location in spite of the nuisance of heavy pollen. To help combat the allergic effects of this conifer pollen I installed multi-dense A/C filters with electrostatic filtration. It helps out a lot. However, normal air-leakage and infiltration into my home, opening doors, and visiting Grand Kids is a challenge to keep the pollen out. Both my wife and I are in our mid-seventies, and, our tolerance to pollen allergies has greatly diminished. Clean, conditioned, breathable, pollen-free air is so important to our health and quality of life.
So, when I had the opportunity to offer a comprehensive review in exchange for a Classic BlueAir 480i, which has an outstanding industry reputation for filtering out allergens, I was excited to use this air purifier. After 25 days of 24/7 use in my Living Room here is why I love this unit:
** OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE – Because we spend the majority of our time indoors I placed my unit in our Living Room at various locations. My Living Room is approximately 400 square feet (480i is designed to cover 434 square feet). After four hours of constantly running this unit we were impressed as how fresh and clean our air actually was. Since this BlueAir unit exchanges our Living Room air every12 minutes after 4 hours the difference was so noticeable because it exchanged the total volume of our air 20 times. My wife thoroughly dusted our Living Room several days after we started running this BlueAir. She was amazed that after her dusting 22 days earlier she did NOT notice any appreciable, accumulated dust on our Living Room surfaces. WooHoo! The 480i will efficiently remove suspended dust particles in our air, but NOT the dust that has already settled.
** CABINET BUILD – This sleek-looking cabinet is mostly constructed of steel with a white, powder-coat, painted finish at the front and back curved panels. The curved front and back panels present a modern, less boxy cabinet look, and harmonize with my furnishings wherever I place it in my Living Room. This unit is stylish and will blend in any decor. The cabinet dimensions are approximately 23 inches high, 20 inches wide, and 11 inches deep. The curved, front panel is stationary with an LED, 'ON' indicator light to the left and 3 inches down from the top of the panel. The curved rear panel is hinged to allow access for installation and replacement of the Dual Protection Filter. The rear-hinged panel is easy to open and snaps shut. The Manual, LED controls are under a hinged lid at the top and at the front of the unit. The unit's air intake and outlet grilles at either side are painted black. The filter housing at the very top of the unit is also painted black creating a striking contrast to the white, front and rear panels. There are convenient, recessed, carrying grips at either side of this BlueAir near the top for handling. This unit weighs approximately 33 pounds, and, I can easily move it to anywhere in my Living Room. On the bottom of the unit are four sturdy, non-slip, round legs approximately one inch high. They are high enough to allow the electrical cord to be placed in any direction, and, allow the sensors, which are housed in a compartment on the bottom, to monitor the room air quality, effectively.. This cabinet can be placed anywhere that is convenient, but proper placement must allow for air flow. BlueAir recommends keeping four inches away from any other objects. Facing the front of the unit room air is pulled in from the Left side grille, travels through the dual filters, and is discharged through the Right grille.
** SETUP OUT OF THE BOX – In less then 5 minutes I had this unit running at High Fan Speed as recommended for the first 24 hours. After I placed this BlueAir in my Living Room I opened the rear, hinged panel to install the filter. I removed the packing tape and slid the Dual Protection Filter into its housing. Plugged it into a 120V outlet, and, pressed the Manual LED Touch Fan Control to the 3rd digit, High. Included in the box is the BlueAir 480i Purifier, Dual Protection Filter, and Instruction Manual. It only took me 10 minutes to read the Instruction Manual and highlight the important operating instructions.
** HEPASILENT DUAL PROTECTION FILTER – This BlueAir 480i is designed to completely filter air in a 434 ft² room 5 times an hour with this included filter. WoW! This dual filter is composed of carbon and particle filter materials, which filter out: Everyday Dust suspended in the air; Industrial & Construction Particles; Mold Spores; Dust Mites; Pet Dander; Bacteria & Viruses; and most important to me, Pollen. The Carbon half of this dual filter additionally filters out: Smoke; Chemicals; Odors from cooking or cleaning; and Volatile Organic Chemicals, which are commonly found in many products in our homes. They 'Off-Gas' certain chemical vapors into the air we breathe. In low concentrations of everyday exposure they can worsen asthmatic conditions and cause eyes, ears, nose, and throat irritations. In high concentrations over a long period of time they can pose a significant health hazard. There is a Filter LED Indicator, which times the operation of this unit and reminds me of how many days are left to replace the Dual Protection filter – it counts down from Day 180 to present.
** INTUITIVE MANUAL LED CONTROLS – There are 6 LED Touch Button Controls under the lid at the top and front of the unit. From Left to Right: Wi-Fi, Fan Speeds, Filter Replacement Indicator, Auto Fan Control Through Sensor Readings, VOC Indicator, and PM2.5 Indicator. The Manual Touch Controls override the Smart Phone BlueAir Friendly App.
** BLUEAIR FRIENDLY APP – I had no issues connecting this 480i to my three, radio frequency router. Note that this unit only operates on the 2.4GHz frequency. Advantage of 2.4GHz is that it covers more area and distance then 5GHz. I set my Smart Phone to 2.4GHz and easily connected this unit to my Wi-Fi router. You can reset your Smart Phone back to 5GHz after you connect this unit to your home router. This App has been updated as of January 11, 2021, and is much easier to install and use. Go to the Google Play, and, or Apple Store and install the latest, updated, FREE version. The App walked me through the Wi-Fi connection, instructed me to add my BlueAir Classic 480i to the App, and location address. This App is installed on both my I-Phone and Wife's Samsung Smart phone. This App is also Alexa compatible for voice control if you choose. What I really like about using this App is that it gives me a detailed graph of all the particulate readings (PM1. PM2.5. PM10 & Total tVOC). You can display these graphical readings by day, week, or month to get a better picture of this unit's performance dealing with the air it is purifying. The PM1, PM2.5, PM10, and tVOC readings are scaled as: Outdoor, Excellent, Good, Moderate, Polluted, and Very Polluted. The linear graphs are easy to read and include the times of variations. Additionally, the room temperature and humidity levels are given as of the present time. This App also allows the user to program Fan Speeds during daytime and nighttime. Low Fan Speed is recommended for nighttime, especially in bedrooms. The LED Touch Control Buttons can also be dimmed through this App.
** INTERGRATED SENSORS - Intelligent sensors are located at the bottom of this unit. After the first week I now operate this unit entirely on AUTO mode, which controls the Fan Speeds based on these built-in sensors. Anxious to see how this system operates on Auto during the heavy pollen season just around the corner. . . .
** CARE & MAINTENANCE – This BlueAir unit is easily cleaned with just a dampened wash cloth. The grilles may need routine vacuuming both on the inside and outside. When replacing the filter vacuuming the filter housing thoroughly is recommended.
** WARRANTY – I extended my warranty to 5 years by registering my unit online at the BlueAir website. They allow a grace period of 60 days to extend the warranty to five years by registering a FREE account.
I highly recommend this unit to anyone concerned about clean, fresh, indoor breathable air in your home. Love this 480i! If you are prone to allergens, pollen, and, or, other airborne, irritating particles – this is the unit for you!

GAMECHANGER - Indoor Smart Amplified BT Antenna

Winegard has been designing OTA antennas since its founding in 1953 when John Winegard invented the first multi-channel, reception antenna. Winegard is acknowledged as the foremost industry and world leader in TV signal reception. So, when I had an opportunity to review this PureTV Pro 60 - Indoor Smart Amplified HDTV Antenna – With Bluetooth Technology Signal Meter in exchange for the product I was excited to experience this new antenna technology. WoW! As a 'cord-cutter' I was absolutely amazed at how accurately this indoor, amplified antenna actually worked. First, I went from 22 OTA channels, which were a combination of good and weak signals, to 25 Strong signals and 4 Moderate for HDTV reception in less then 30 minutes. I picked up seven new stations. WooHoo! Using the Winegard Connected App I was able to locate the placement of this Winegard antenna to receive my optimum TV signal reception, and, fine tune a hard-to-get station using this on-board, Bluetooth Signal Meter.
Indoor antenna placement has always been a mysterious and tedious 'trial-and-error' challenge for me. However, Winegard has hit a home run with this PureTV Pro 60 - Indoor Smart Amplified HDTV Antenna. Out of the box it only took me about ten minutes to set-up the included hardware. After downloading the FREE Winegard Connected App I just followed the simple on-screen instructions to successfully install my antenna. This FREE App is available for downloading from the Google Play Store and, or, at the Apple App Store. The App-integrated signal meter is a 'Gamechanger' for accurate, easy, indoor antenna installations.
Advantages of the Winegard PureTV Pro 60 - Indoor Smart Amplified HDTV Antenna – With Bluetooth Technology Signal Meter:
** UNCOMPLICATED INSTALLATION – The included 'Quick Start Guide' details the steps for setting up the antenna hardware and downloading the Winegard App. The Power Amplifier unit requires a 120V power source, or, it can be plugged into the TV through the included USB cable. It easily paired with my cell after I downloaded the Winegard Connected App and established a FREE Winegard account. I then scanned the QR Code on my Power Amplifier to activate the on screen instructions for antenna set up. There is a flashing Blue LED on the amplifier unit for BT pairing. You can use your GPS location by default to find all the broadcast antennas in your area. You can also enter your street address if you choose. I used my GPS location for greater accuracy. While moving my antenna around for the best signal strength location I used Masking and Painters' tape to temporarily hold the antenna in place (see pics). This flat, two-sided antenna only weighs 7 ounces so, any kind of light-duty tape will hold the antenna in place. I was able to move this antenna around temporarily and also check my cell for the signal strength. This is easily a 'one-man' operation, but two people would probably make the whole process go even faster. The Signal Meter uses both visual and audio indicators. The built-in App-enabled Signal Meter gives me three on-screen views of signal strength; Summary, Map View, and List View (see pics). I used the Summary View indicating signal strength to initially locate my antenna for optimum channel reception. However, I kept the Masking tape on the antenna in case I had to further tweak the antenna placement. I wanted to Fine-Tune a station, which has always been pixelated and hard to receive, but still one of my favorites.
** FINE TUNE HDTV SIGNALS – Once I had my antenna placement optimized for most of my TV stations using the 'Summary View' I began the Fine-Tuning process for one of my preferred, hard-to-receive, stations. This App uses four colors for signal strength; Green for Strong signal, Yellow for Moderate, Orange for Weak, and Red for No signal. I went to the on-screen 'List View', which displays the Network, Signal Strength, Channel, Call Sign, and most importantly, the Fine Tuning Icon (see pics). I located that particular channel in the list and 'clicked' on its Fine Tuning Icon. The information displayed on the next screen was the channel, band, call sign and distance (from the broadcast antenna (see pics). The built-in Signal Meter displayed the Signal-To-Noise-Ratio (SNR) signal value in 'Real Time', which is the actual received signal strength. At first I received a very low number,10 (Red) reception range. I then started to move the antenna around in each direction ever so slowly. After several minutes I found the optimal signal for my station by moving my antenna approximately 12 inches to the right of its original, temporary placement. The real-time SNR on my cell now read 21dBm (see pics) and the signal was in the 'Moderate' (Yellow) reception range. The higher the SNR number the better the reception. I then ran a channel scan on my Smart TV and was super-delighted with the results. The Winegard Fine-Tuning Signal Meter allowed me to finally receive this hard-to-get station, and, without pixelation. YooHoo!
** WINEGARD CONNECTED APP - The on-screen instructions are so helpful, and include suggestions if I need help. Fine-Tuning hard to receive channels in real-time is the most amazing feature of this Winegard App. The App-integrated signal meter is a 'Gamechanger' for accurate, easy, indoor antenna installations.
** INCLUDED IN THE BOX – Winegard Power Amplifier with a USB port for connection to TV for power and, or, a 120V power plug-in adapter. There is a separate USB cable and 18.5 foot mini coaxial cable from the power amplifier to the antenna. The 12 inch by 13 inch flat, multi-directional antenna is two sided. One side is colored white and the other is black to match the painted finishes. Two 3-M Command Adhesive strips are also included for final antenna placement.
** TIPS FOR ANTENNA PLACEMENT – High as possible. Temporarily mount antenna for optimum reception using cellophane tape, painter's tape, or any kind of masking tape. These tapes will NOT harm your wall finishes when removed. Place the antenna in or near a window if possible.
I highly recommend this Winegard PureTV Pro 60 - Indoor Smart Amplified HDTV Antenna – With Bluetooth Technology Signal Meter. It is so user-friendly to set up and gives outstanding results for indoor HDTV reception. This unit is in my Living Room, and I am purchasing another for my Master Bedroom. This Winegard OTA antenna technology will make 'cord-cutting' so easy and practical. Winegard' competition has a lot of catching up to do.

The “JAWS” Of ICE Crushing – Multi Functional

Was pleasantly surprised using this blender at how efficient and uncomplicated it was. It is an impressive three speed, analog-controlled blender with ample power to crush ice as 'shaved' for snow cones, and other icy treats. It makes delightful Smoothies from frozen fruit, and if preferred, added heavy cream or half and half for more gastronomical richness. YUMMY!
I have affectionately named this KitchenAid K150 Blender, “JAWS”, because it is amazing at crushing ice. I am an avid 'Soup-A-Holic'. I love making hearty soups from fresh, seasonable vegetables, especially when the weather gets colder. This K150 makes light work of blending vegetables into a creamy consistency for delicious, healthy, soup bases. My older blender would only take small batches of cut up, steamed or roasted vegetables. “JAWS” can take over 40 ounces of veggies at one time of processing – amazing. “JAWS” is now my new kitchen Buddy.
Here are the impressive features of “JAWS”, KitchenAid K150 3 Speed Ice Crushing Blender:
* POWER – This unit uses 650 watts of power. The 3-speed motor is a Soft Start Motor Control, which starts out slowly pulling the ingredients into the blades, then gradually goes into maximum RPMs for that particular speed. What is great about Intelli-Speed® is the unique asymmetric blade blends at four distinct angles to pull ice into the center for ultimate crushing. How cool and efficient is that? I did not notice that this blender is any more noisier then my older unit.
* BUILD – This unit is quality built. The base is heavy enough to keep the whole unit in place during any ice crushing or blending process. However, it is light enough to be portable to use any where I choose in my Kitchen. The base unit is made of heavy plastic, stainless steel, and is classy looking anywhere I place it on my counter tops. There are convenient lift cutouts on either side of the base for hand lifting. On the very bottom of the unit is a rubberized, non-slip gasket to keep the base from moving while I am using the blender. The large, 3-speed analog, control dial is easy to operate. It has four positions, 0 (OFF), Speeds 1, 2, 3, which are continuous for the particular speed selected. However, the PULSE setting is Momentary, and must be held down to operate for any length of time. The PULSE setting is to the Left and downward. What I also like about the base unit is that it is finished in a matte-black, fingerprint resistant finish. YooHoo!
* BLENDER JARS – The main blender jar has a 48 oz capacity with a gasketed lid for a tight fit. It has a screw-in center cap for accessing the main blender jar to tap materials down, add items, and, or to stir the jar. It is made of lightweight Food-Grade Polycarbonate, which is shatter resistant compared to heavier glass. On either side of the pitcher handle are measuring lines marked in the pitcher for ounces or milliliters. The pitcher and both Polycarbonate 16 oz jars are BPA Free (Bisphenol A Free). It has been my experience with other Polycarbonate containers is that they are not rated to handle very hot liquids. So, I cool my steamed, or roasted vegetables before placing them in the main pitcher for blending. Do not place any very hot or boiling liquid items in these included jars. Each smaller 16 oz jar has its own convenient vented lid, which screws on to the top of each jar. There is a separate blade assembly unit for the 16 oz blender jars also. I highly recommend this KitchenAid K150 Ice Crushing Blender for all it can do. Excellent Home/Office Printer – Built To Last

There are lots of AIO printers out there to choose from in various price ranges. What is important is to buy an AIO that has all of the features you require, reliable, and built to last. I am impressed with this Epson WorkForce® Pro WF-4820 Wireless All-in-One because it is an excellent printer, especially for the volume of documents I produce out of my Home Office. And it does an outstanding job for my Grand Kids homework, Grandma's recipe cards, and produces topnotch work photos and family photographic treasures too. After four weeks of heavy use I believe this Epson is the best performing of all the printers I've owned in the past. This WF-4820 is marketed 'For Work', but it is the best in its class and price range for Home Office use and various kinds of printing activities for all my family members too.
So, why do I think this is the best Home Office/Family printer you can purchase in its price class?
** PRINT QUALITY:
1. As a Construction Inspector I work as a Consultant for Architectural firms and Engineering Professionals. When I am out of town I often e-mail my daily construction notes and job photos that night to the Design Professionals for their evaluation the next morning. However, during various phases of the construction project I am required to submit printed and formalized documents indicating the job progress and adherence to the Architectural & Engineering Specifications Manual. I take great pride in submitting accurate, complete, and professional-caliber printed documents. The Epson WF-4820 uses 4800 x 2400 DPI, which is super-sharp for both documents and photos. I use the highest quality paper I can buy and expect my printer to produce the best resolution of printing to match my efforts. This Epson WF-4820 meets my expectations and is now my 'go-to' printer. WooHoo!
2. An interesting facet of construction inspections is photo documentation. Again when I am out of town I also forward JPEG photo files that night with my construction notes. On the other end they sometimes print out these photos using their high-volume, ink tank printer and present them directly to our clients. Two weeks ago one of the engineers called me and asked what kind of printer I was using to reproduce my 5” x 7” job photos. He was curious as to why my job photos were far superior to their high-volume, ink tank, printed photos from the same JPEG files. He said he noticed the difference when presenting the job photos to our clients. He was surprised when I told him I was using an inexpensive WF-4820 Epson AIO Ink Jet Printer. I explained to him that Epson Ink Jet Printers using PrecisionCore Heat Free Technology and DURABRITE Ultra instant-dry pigment inks are superior and produce professional-quality resolution photos compared to his high-volume, office, ink tank unit. I let him know that I can immediately touch my photos right out of the printer with no smudges or wash marks. I have printed out several job photos and the definition, color, and quality resolution is excellent. Family pics are terrific and impressive, and, can be printed in these sizes, 3-1/2” x 5”, 4” x 6”, 5” x 7” and 8” x 10” photos. Epson photo glossy photo paper is available at Best Buy.
** BUILD & DUTY CYCLE - This Epson WF-4820 AIO is built to perform and last for years. The printers, which I have previously bought for my Home Office lasted about one year before I wore them out. I print out approximately a thousand pages a month, which is the maximum for most AIO ink jet printers. This WF-4820 is built for a monthly duty cycle of 1,600 pages a month with a max of 33,000 pages if needed, but not recommended by Epson as routine. It is built for a higher volume then I use now and should last me for years. It weighs approximately 22.5 pounds and its footprint is approximately 17 inches x 17 inches, approximately 11 inches high, and approximately 20 inches deep. It fits easily into my Home Office on my desk and would in any home environment. The exterior housing is made of ABS plastic in a matte black, fingerprint-resistant finish and cleans easily.
** SETUP – This is one of the easiest printer installations I've installed. I chose to use my home WI-FI router network, so I could print from other devices in my home network. WI-FI Direct is also available if I wish to limit the users ability to access my home network. This Epson can be directly connected to my router with an Ethernet cable for the most secure connection. It can also be connected directly to my desktop or laptop using a USB cable. And I could also use Bluetooth as long as I am in the same vicinity as my printer. The entire setup was accomplished using the LED front control panel, which walked me through the entire process, step by step. Connecting to my home WI-FI router was quick and easy. I have a MU-MIMO router and this Epson Printer takes advantage of MU MIMO, which allows multiple Wi-Fi devices to simultaneously receive multiple data streams. YooHoo! At the Epson Support website I downloaded the Epson WF-4820 Drivers & Utilities Combo Package, which sets up all the Printer, Scanner and Remote Print Drivers. The Utilities include the Software Updater, Scan, FAX, Printer Set-Up, and OCR Utility. Once my printer was connected to my home WI-FI system I could print and make changes to the printer from my laptop. A CD ROM is also furnished, which has all of the Drivers and Utilities to open and install on your desktop or laptop.
** LED CONTROL PANEL -The front facing, bright, generously-sized, 4.3 inch, Color Touchscreen, LED Control Panel is 90 degrees adjustable from vertical to upward horizontal for angle viewing making it so user-friendly. How cool is that? From this LED panel I can print, copy, fax, and scan. I can set the various sizes of paper, photos, card stock, and envelopes, and, change any settings. Easy to operate and I find it unnecessary to use the Owners' Manual, which is also available to download from the Epson Support website. One of my favorite settings on this LED panel is the password lock. I can keep my Grand Kids from using up all of my color cartridges – Grandpa Control. Love It.
** FEATURES - On top of this unit is the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder), which holds up to 35 pages. It is generously sized for feeding copies or scanning documents. Paper is fed from the right side of the ADF. The main paper tray holds up to 250 sheets of paper and has adjustable bottom and side arms for my choice of printing paper settings. Prints up to 25 pages per minute (ISO) in black and up to 12 pages per minute (ISO) in color. The paper tray is amply sized for my Home Office use. Maximum paper sheet size is 8 1/2 inches x 14 inches, and, there is 2MB of built-in memory. Duplex printing is a big plus. It saves paper, and is more professional then a report using only one-sided documents. This Epson printer is Energy Star compliant and will 'sleep' to save energy when not in use. There is a limited one year warranty.
** EPSON SMART PANEL APP - This app is FREE and can be downloaded from the Apple or Google Play Store for both iOS and Android. This App allows me to print documents or photos from my cell anywhere I am at in the US as long as my Epson printer is 'ON'. WoW! It also informs me of my printer status and ink cartridge levels. This App has many informative functions like Document Scanning from My Cell; Photo Printing; Printer Cleaning Functions; Video Help Manuals; and Trouble Shooting.
** MAINTENANCE – Several times a year the scanner glass needs cleaning with a microfiber soft cloth moist with a quality glass cleaner. The rollers on the interior of the ADF need to be cleaned with a moist cloth also. The LED Control Panel will indicate the ink cartridge status and when they need to be replaced as well as the Maintenance Boxes. On the LED Touchscreen press 'Supply Status' – It will display when the Maintenance Box needs to be replaced as well as the level of ink in each cartridge.
I highly recommend the purchase of this outstanding Home/Office Epson printer. It will take me awhile to wear this unit out. For its price point, features, excellent document and photo printing this Epson WF-4820 is a bargain.

The interior oven measures approximately 10" x 13" x 14", which is approximately, slightly larger then one cubic foot. Ninja folks say you can cook a 12 pound bird in the oven. I don't think weight has that much to do with it. I cooked a five pound Pot Roast and it was dwarfed in this oven (see pic). Probably could of cooked 15 pounds of Pot Roast. Based on my experiences. . . .You can easily cook 10 or more pounds of Turkey Breast in this oven (as long as it is contained in a 12" x 12" x 12'' area. . . .Hope this helps.

I easily get 12 hours of battery life over two days of use. I think I could get at least several more hours if I didn't stream movies for entertainment at night in my motel room when I am out of town. This baby is powerful and fast. My guess is that if you just do word documents and e-mail you will come close to 17 hours of battery life.. . .

I have the Pixelbook Go 13.3 TS Chromebook with the Intel i5 - 8GB - 128GB SSD. I was amazed how fast it was and what i could do on it. This unit will allow you to download Apps from the Google Play Store. I downloaded MS Word and Excel although Google Docs is an excellent word processing software too. Google also has fine presentation software also.
The touch display screen is bright and clear and wide enough 16:9 aspect, so that two pages of a word document can be displayed at one time if so desired. Great for students. It features a center-placed trackpad, which is adjustable for sensitivity. The keys on the keyboard are backlit and can be adjusted for brightness level. Only an Android smart phone can connect through BT to lock the unit and turn it on, if you wish. It will also allow you to send and receive messages from your phone and, or Pixelbook. This Pixelbook does utilize the voice commands of the Google Assistant also. There are thousands of Apps at the Play Store, and in my opinion, this Chrome OS rivals Windows and Mac for productivity. Chrome OS is a simple easy to learn system. It is NOT bloated like Windows or Mac so a high end processor, RAM memory, or huge hard drive is not needed. Cloud backups is available. This is a sold unit for school-related productivity, note taking, and entertainment too. It is great for creating and editing word processing and spreadsheets, e-mail, and surfing the web for information. But it is NOT a gamer or able to do heavy graphics and photo editing.

I have the Bose QC 35 Headphones and just received the Jabra Elite 85h Headphones for review. In my opinion the Jabra 85h has the superior Noise Cancelling tech. Jabra uses AI (artificial Intelligence) in its Active Noise Cancelling profiles. It basically analyzes the noise backgrounds you are currently in, and changes your ANC to match your audio environment.
I was out at my pool listening to Pandora when my neighbor started to trim his hedges. My Jabra headphones changed my listening environment within ten seconds so I did NOT hear his noisy clippers. I love this tech. Additionally, the Bose QC 35 should not be in an outside environment, especially a moist one (I live in North Florida - Hot & Humid). Jabra 85h is rainproof and dustproof, and I have no problem taking these headphones outside. In my opinion the Jabra Sound App offers more features and settings then Bose. However, Bose has the superior sound over BT. When I connected a 3.5mm jack from my amp-receiver to each headphone set I could not tell any noticeable difference. Both headphones were able to be manipulated by my amp's EQ and responded accordingly. Bose has the better (HRAs) High Resolution Audio codecs to transmit CD quality music over BT.
