Mixed review

This is review of 2020 versions of Adobe Photoshop Element and Adobe Premiere Element for Mac and Windows.
Not being specialist on photo and related design editor the review is mixed but doesn't mean to underestimate its full value as software.
Respective application has the commonly used functionality allowing to process quick editing or organization in automated fashion via smart fixes, or manually go in deep to work pixel by pixel and allowing to use a spectrum of options from colors to lightings and exposure.
The video edition allow to trim or add tracks, and adjust, add/remove sequence, music.
What I find give benefit is a single organization capability to have or find essays assets created or imported, and easily interact during edit and processing phase.
In term of using in Windows and Mac, the experience is bit mixed and not the same. This is term of processing that while opening the application, in Mac feels the cpu time going to put 3.3 gb and hearing the fan noise. Meanwhile in Windows takes CPU usage is minimum. Similar experience while editing.
Naturally, the comparison is not apple to apple due to differences of hardware versions, but considering both big machines, bit unexpected.
Following comparison is based on following hardware configuration:
- MacPro 2017 15" 3.1 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7/ 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3 / Intel HD Graphics 630 1536 MB / Catalina
- Dell Inspiron Intel Core i7-10510U CPU @ 1.80GHz 2.30GHz / 16GB Ram / 64-bit / Touchscreen / Pen / Windows Home
- In both machines have only adobe photoshop and premiere 2020, and basic default applications of each OS.
The recommendation and rating is based on its wide range functionality and integrated capability to have assets to organize and capability to share easily to multiple online platform and known services.

Not perfect but close to and good safety

At glance:
The case Tech21 Clear for iPhone11 Pro Max look and feel very well.
First positive of the case is I was able to place the phone in one slip without any effort and fit perfectly well.
Then everything else are just look nice on the hand. Transparent and look clean, bit bulky but leaning toward slim side I would say.
How thin is:
Compared its thinness with second brand known for very slim case Totallee. Side by side just looking at it doesn’t seem to have big difference. However Tech21 case looked give sense of more protective in case of any normal accident, but in the back pocket of jean looked bulky and made bit of difference with Totallee case.
Using the phone with case:
Now using the phone with the case, respective buttons works well, volume up and down, lock and unlock. The space at bottom for usb charing is spacious. Some people might prefer more firm border for the portion of the case that sit or protect around usb c port as use through time that part loose its firmness.
Using with one hand, beside of the effect of using 6.5 screen size and dependency of size of hand of user, holding it in one hand and dialing or typing short actions feels comfortable.
Haven’t tested how good is the protection fully, but from past experience with iPhoneXs using same brand, had fall from my pocket and the phone looked as nothing happened, As the same form has been in the market since iPhone 5 or so, I am guessing same result with this latest one.
To summarize, tech21 case is meant to have bit more protection than compared case, but its design doesn’t compromise too much or too less to maintain that balance between nice look and not bulky yet while offering protection.
One tiny minor detail, is noticed this case doesn’t have the brand stamp on the back as has been with other model.
Wish it were:
1. The back less slippery
Attachment shows comparing with second brand, using with Silver version.
Rating given based on the quality of product rather on MSPR price consideration.

Good valued notebook with flexibility
on October 20, 2019
Posted by: MigDigital
from East Bay, CA
At glance:
Inspiron 7591 2 in 1 is a nicely designed notebook for general use but still delivering best of multimedia experience.
From hardware stand point is flexible allowing to accommodate different angle of screen in table mode, and still use as traditional notebook. With Nvidia ge force mx250 video card, watching movie and photographs is are excellent for regular use cases. Watching streaming movie from Netflix service for instance is quite good, and if put together the surrounding sound does excellent job. Then the utility Maxx Audio help to adjust the sound , and if watched with headphone (tested with Plantronics BackFit 6100) can feel well drops and dirt from from movie (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon Sword of Destiny)
The experience of setting up:
Now, from installation and setup standpoint when you receive it, upon you start immediately kick in Cortana to assist to setup Windows in the new machine. Although this part I believe has to do with Microsoft thing, the process allows to proceed with voice command, which is probably has to do with industry trend of date of review. In this process Dell looks to fall short in regard of all the driver and firmware updates having to be done separately after Microsoft portion of setup. Meaning it is not a single process flow that handle all of setup and update in a single flow. User has to do separate update of Dell Update which is old school process.
Then Dell Update site and/or application is not straight forward or are not synchronized. Each tells you different status although they are meant for same purpose, as result the setup and update time takes longer than should. (For me took me about half day counted summary that thought out a day or so)
Then after bio update, the pen stopped working for which took time to troubleshoot. This is because of:
1. Pen doesn’t have any indicator of On/Off. I am guessing it has to do with minimalist design behind but still can’t tell if battery has run out or connected or not to the notebook.
2. Notebook’s connected device doesn’t tell if it is connected or not neither.
As result while leaning to think the pen is defected after having changed its battery, had to review updated Bio information and restart, then the pen has started working.
To summarize the Pros:
1. Hardware looks slim, sturdy, nice design;
2. Multimedia usage;
3. Flexibility to use as Tablet and as Traditional Notebook still;
4. Feel to made to replace clunky desktop but for task that cannot be accomplished using just tablets;
5. Come with Pen (PN350M);
6. Grabbing it fits well like holding a notebook;
7. Great image/video quality for normal use.
8. Backlit keyboard
9. Handy variety of ports
To summarize the Cons:
1. Fingerprints everywhere except screen, is not fingerprint resistant;
2. Pen placement is not made for recharging;
3. Pen is not rechargeable and need separate battery (AAAA);
4. Doesn’t have indicator of connectivity of Pen;
5. Doesn’t have indicator of remaining battery life of the Pen;
6, Heavy, 5lb;
7. Setting up and Update process;
8. Fingerprint setup for security is not straightforward, needing to do multiple times and still not feeling safe;
9. Power output is only left side, could have in both side
Then in between:
1. Couple of instances the touchscreen became non responsive. As is not frequently repeated in 4 days of usage can’t tell if has to do with touchscreen self or software+vide rendering.

Impressive

The combination of amp and sparkers with subwoofer creates impressive sound. For what it can deliver cannot be described from the photograph available in the web unless physically have hand on and test then feel it.
Being audiophile aficionado, at glance, upon connecting to Sonos Amp, the conjunction of sound atmosphere created is inviting in smooth way.
Single speaker and Subwoofer alone creates nice still relevant sound.
Naturally, there are many elements that might interfere, but considering all equals quiet environment at backyard, definitely creates superb sound at outdoor.
Previous to installation in the backyard, tested in a closed environment to isolate its real potential by setting up in the living room. The subwoofer pairs incredibly well with the passive speakers and as control via Sonos application equalizer.
In term of its built material is sturdy well for outdoor installation. Although need to be wait and see through time, but it looks to resist in Bay Area weather.
It is bit pricy items but experience created in between once installed, cannot be compared with just placing portable speakers.
Only thing I would have liked to have is for the price point include in the pack set of longer cable. As is comes by default just enough.
In term of product enhancement would love to see each speaker connected via wifi to the subwoofer or Sonos Amp. I would prefer to deal with power connection rather than designing the cable to hook with subwoofer and rest of speaker.
Rating is given based on the level of sound can produce for what meant to be the product.
In the attached photograph showing unpacking and testing process inside, and perspective of space size under which setup initially from which result notion of sound.

Practical printer focused on printing only
on October 10, 2019
Posted by: MigDigital
from East Bay, CA
It is quite practical in a sense of newly introduced filling the cartridges with the ink bottle. Filling doesn't take great care and simple.
Then for this particular model G5020, it is meant to use only for printing purpose, any kind with relatively good printing quality and speed. But personally I see it better use for text based printing.
From setting up aspect, it took about 10 min from out of box process to between filling cartridge and setting wifi, and test print page.
Then once setup, it become available for print option in another device like notebook connected to same network.
What is feels bit downside that doesn't make perfect are:
1. Setting WiFi require user to download app on you phone/tablet. It has the kind of setting used by Internet of Things devices for smart home. Previous model would have ability to setup directly from the printer. So, one more app.
2. Its size and esthetic is literally big black box, and material is not shiny plastic as would be in other line of Canon printers.
3. Price of bottle for refill personally seems bit not aligned with the idea of saving as colored bottle cost $12, times three color makes $36; for black ink refill bottle is $18. That spending around $54 + tax. Although Canon states "...an ink savings of $1,175 Print up to 6,000 black text pages or up to 7,700 vivid color pages..", then unless user has to refill around twice a year, doesn't feel to add up in economically. Naturally this calc will depend on each use case and respective point of view.
4. Printer has a display, that is tiny and hard to ready. It looks like reuse of matrix printer of early days of printer history. It displays icon for WiFI connective, and status, but hard to read.
Based on above description the rating being given, but still recommendable as meet its purpose in general.

Good looking Hub for practical need
on September 26, 2019
Posted by: MigDigital
from East Bay, CA
It comes with handy number of connections that satisfy sd/micro card ports, 2 usb c, 2 usb 3.0, 1 hdmi and eternity port. Its design seems to be thought for use case that user's mobility and need to have single action of plug into MacBook while the hub is connected to network and left on the desk with all other connectivity already in place.
Physically, it is light, but bit bulky for my view. Color match perfectly with space gray MacBook, maybe very slight differences in the tone, but not noticeable at simple sight. Its cable that comes attached to plug into MacBook is not detachable, hence its practicality bit awkward I would say; I would have prefer detachable like Apple chargers that allow better mobility and organizing in the backpack, and also could have been additional usb c port. Another aspect in the practicality, due to its intend to allow plug from both side, organizing cables for accessories need some work by the user. The belt material and feels looks sturdy but it is made of plastic.
In bottom line, as it takes two usb c port of MacBook, and still there are same number of usb c in the hub, then what user gain is the allocated ports for generic USB port and sd card/ethernet/hdmi instead of having to have multiple connectors for each kind. For the msrp price point and based on above review, it is average not that is bad at all, but neither superb to fall in love, just enough and do what meant to. Hence the given rating. In the photo, one of it comparing size against iPhone X Plus to give idea of size, then what look like side, and connected.
Despite the rating, it is recommendable for the practical use

Comfortably fit for short exercise time span
on September 20, 2019
Posted by: MigDigital
from East Bay, CA
Headset for purpose of wearing during fitness activities but easily can be used for different need as well.
It fits comfortably, ease to adjust as needed. Sound wise is above average I would say without being technical audiophile. Being On ear style, the cup does isolate well with outside noise. In this aspect, it has hardware control to hear surrounding noise by opening the mic port.
Due to its material and build, bit heavy for my preference, but feels sturdy.
Connection: it is seamless process. Has good feature that there is voice notification saying what has been connected. Can connect at least two devices simultaneously (use case with iPhone and MacBook). Downside is that if listening music from iPhone, and there is any activity notification from MacBook, the headset play sound from MacBook but afterward it doesn't continue playing the music and need to start play again.
Controls:these are all touch sense centralized on one side. As slide through with finger it does its purpose. However, it seems takes time to get used as need to do several times. I couldn't change control at once with one touch. For instance for volume increase decrease, sliding doesn't work and find out by pressing each side. However, still in the process somehow the control get mixed with stop/start music. Most of trial to forward/backward/volume up/down had music stoped/started instead. Due to this, if need to control anything while performing fitness like running, it is a hassle as takeaway focus from the activity. Hence, don't feel suitable for running activity, but for other type of fitness at gym that doesn't;'t require high level of dynamic of movement.
Phone call/Listenning music: works seamlessly apart of some details mentioned above. During phone other side does heart well while talking, hence not downside in this aspect but neither anything special.
App: I was not able to use it and connect as the application didn't recognize the headset to connect. Didn't show as device to connect. Tried couple of time restarting the phone, removing from bluetooth connection. Not sure if wrong app but tried with BackBeat and BackBeat fit.
The package comes with two cables, one charging cable and second for mic pluggable. For being price point that being sold, the charging cable could have been longer. It is only 1ft.
The ear cup covering material could be of material used for sport jackets considering the headset is for fitness. It would be nice if it were material used for breathable like used on clothing. This suggestion comes as I have tested while running one hour on the treadmill, and felt bit too tight without vent in the ear area causing to accumulated sweat around the ear cup, and naturally loosing the sense of freedom when you are running without it. Naturally, there is trade off using headset but could have better experience changing the material.
To summarize downside: material of ear cup or earpad (not sure if this is called), charging cable, need several trial to get used to controls
Upside: fits well, comfortable, long hour doesn't feel fatigue in the ear compared to regular kind, sound, ease of use except of control.
In the photos showing what is like after one hour of running, and package.

Easy use and joy to use blender
on September 9, 2019
Posted by: MigDigital
from East Bay, CA
Ease to use, made sturdy. This makes super easy to make smoothy, slush for hot days and kids running back form school. Then it can do what ever needed or create as powerful 1200 watt motor base. Then washing the pitcher and blade is very seamless as upon use then rising them does clean easily (based on rising after making smoothie and juice). Probably the result has to do for first time or new and need to see over time and multiple usages, but the first few usage has been nothing to observe negatively Its accessories "easy-twist extractor blade, 24 oz handled cup, 2 to-go lids, 32 oz cup, pitcher lid with lid cap, tamper, 64 oz pitcher" make practical for quickly serve or use during cooking process. Maybe the motor sound could be bit more smoother or lower pitch, and MSRP could be bit lower, but apart of it in overall does what meant to and does adds up to the need.

Good looking but standard coffee machine
on August 29, 2019
Posted by: MigDigital
from Bay Area, CA
It is a decent coffee machine for big brews for small office or heavy drinker of brewed coffee. It is bulky size plus, does not have “over the ice” for hot summer days which comes in very handy.
If you expect dark, rich and concentrated flavor from the “pods”, this machine is not suitable for you. This could be viewed as a little upscale version of Mr. Coffee.

Looking strong but missing practicallity vacuum
on August 24, 2019
Posted by: MigDigital
from Bay Area, CA
In the first impression after unpacking and aseembling, the Shark Rotator DuoClean ZU782 Bagless Upright Vacuum looks great and and well armed utility to tackle home cleaning.
Assembling it is straightforward. Not big issues.
Used for carpet and hard floor cleaning, and does the job for what is needed. However Its suction power is not that different compared to other vacuum power.
Based on the usage, its purpose is limited to use in open space, where doesn’t have to vacuum under chairs or tables or spaces between furnitures or alikes with limited space. This is due to its design and bulky style which is similar to rest other brands in the same category. However during the use, it moves very nicely and feels work being done as one imagine.
Upon starting it, its noise is not annoying engine noise with high pitch. Vacuuming slides smoothly due to its heavy weight as move forward.
What didn’t help much was using the accessories with wand pod to vacuum unreachable spaces. This is due to wand pod was either short or not able to stretch further. Then the dust cup is not big as it look in the first impression.
Three things very well done are the edge of the nozzle that has attached rubber that in the case of touching wall, it protect the nozzle or the wall/funiture with ever, or micro bouncing effect it creates. Without it directly crack either part. Hence this is good.
Second thing noticed is the quality of the brrushroll, It is sturdy and better material that appears to last longer. This is because in other brand like Dyson, the brush hair get wear out or removed from brush roll requiring to replace after certain number of usage.
Third is the lighting allows to view where is pointing.
In bottom line, its practicality is limited only to open space and heavy to maneuver. Not recommendable where have to vacuum different spaces for big to small as will have limitation or hassle taking longer time to complete the task. And for the price point lags practicality here the average rating.
In the attached photos showing curving during vacuuming, brush quality, dust cup size, control of max/min
Not recommended for the price point.

I have a Sony tv with eARC hdmi. I use a Polk magnifi max that does not indicate it has eARC. Will the enhancements of eARC be available anyway or do we all have to buy new sound equipment to take advantage if the new technology.

I connected to TV with non eARC hdmi and worked ok.

It says that it is for the third gen and the 4th gen iPad, but the camera for the iPad Pro 4th gen (2020) is different as the third gen (2018) iPad so for which ipad is this case?

it works for 2020, haven't tried on 3rd generation
