Great Speed with Gigabit Internet

I've got Comcast Gigabit Internet and was worried that Velop wouldn't be able to handle it. I was worried needlessly. By connecting with an Ethernet cable I got the same 950 Mbps. speed as if I was connecting directly to the modem. My Wi-fi speed was equal to the Nighthawk router Comcast provided.
As others have said, the connection of all three nodes was effortless. You need no technical skills whatever. Just follow the illustrated instructions on the free Linksys phone app. I had all three nodes operating in 15 minutes. All of my devices connected back to my network with no trouble and I've got a much better wi-fi signal all over my house.
Two small negatives:
1) I wish I could manage my new Velop network from my desktop computer. When you sign in to the "Linksys Smart Wi-Fi" website with your username and password, you just see "Velop Wi-Fi can only be managed with the LInksys App" Disappointing.

Tiny, But Powerful

The Lectrofan machine is very small, but packs a wallop in terms of volume. It really works for masking irritating noises outside your environment. It features a choice of 10 different 'fan sounds' and ten different pitches of 'white noise." I prefer the fan sounds, as they sound totally genuine even to the point where if you choose the 'oscillating fan' sound it rises and falls slightly as if an oscillating fan is moving back and forth. It's soothing and will drown out any irritating noise outside keeping you from sleeping or just relaxing.
If you suffer from tinnitus or ringing of the ears, this unit can be a godsend as well. Even without actual outside noise, the 'ringing' sound in your head can keep you awake at night, the Lectrofan sounds can mask this and help you fall asleep.
The unit is powered either by just plugging it into the wall, or you can use the USB cord to power it by a nearby computer.
It's priced less than many other sound maskers i've seen which cost $100 or more.
The only negative point I can point to is that the unit doesn't offer sounds of nature, such as rain, river sounds or a waterfall, but at this low price and its power, the Lectrofan is effective very and easy to operate. It'll fit great on a nightstand.

Really Powerful and Imaginative Blender

The only blender I’ve used before this unit was a 20 year old GE blender which probably cost 25 dollars. It was like driving a Yugo compared to this Nutri Ninja which is like driving a Tesla.
This thing is solid, and unlike my old blender which I had to hold down on the counter with one hand while it was running to keep it from sliding around, the Ninja has rubber suction cups which will keep it right where you place it until you deliberately want to move it. It comes with a beautiful color recipe book with 78 imaginative and healthy recipes. The recipes are so inviting, if you care about your health at all, you’ll want to give some of them a try. Before, my breakfast consisted of dropping some corn flakes in a bowl. This morning I woke up to a strawberry banana protein shake from the recipe book. It only took a few minutes with ingredients easy to find at the grocery store. It tasted great and I feel like I’m doing more to stay healthy.
Just be warned, The Ninja IS loud, as others have said, especially when crushing ice which it does with amazing ease by the way.

Even My Wife Loves It

The problem with being a "techie" is when you install something new, a wife can get irritated with the way the device looks, even if it really works great.
She loved the look of the orbi. It's very stylish and modern, but more important is the way it WORKS.
We don't have a huge house, but there were a few areas where the connection was somewhat spotty, and our new Ford in the garage with its Sync3 system is supposed to get updates over Wi-Fi but the signal wasn't strong enough to make it happy.
orbi to the rescue. It practically sets up itself with a little experimentation. You just watch the light ring as the two units talk to each other, the colors tell you the status of the connection and when all is good, it lights up solid blue and then shuts off. I have full coverage all over the house, not just full coverage but the full SPEED I pay Comcast for. Without orbi, the farther away from my router, the slower the connection speed. Not any more.
In short, the orbi is a good way to get full Wi-Fi coverage throughout your home, and can easily be setup by a novice.

I love my new Desktop

My 8 year old HP desktop finally died, but gave me good service so I purchased this HP model at Best Buy.
I'm VERY happy with it. with the i7 processor, this thing FLIES compared to my old one. Also unlike my previous HP, the Envy is almost totally silent. The only time you hear anything is when you access the hard drive. It's like the fans aren't even running.
My only complaint is to keep the case looking sleek, the USB and other ports are located on the top AWAY from you, so you have to stand up to find them. It's not a big deal and of course the computer does have more USB ports on the back for accessories you are not constantly plugging and unplugging. I just miss grabbing a USB stick and reaching over and popping it in.
All in all though a great desktop and I'd recommend it to anyone.

I've purchased Garmin GPS units since they became available so many years ago and didn't even have enough memory for maps.
This new one is a nice improvement. The screen is big and very legible without being over sized.
I like the new spoken directions in the new units. Instead of "Turn Left on Main Street" it says, "Turn left at the stop light" etc. The animated visual lane indications on highways are also much better than previous models. The hardware is better too, my older unit used to constantly fall out of its window bracket. This unit is much more secure and the on/off power button is easy to find and press.
The one thing that I don't like about these units and which has NOT changed here is even if you constantly download the newest Garmin map updates, you'll STILL see restaurants and shops that have closed years ago, and new changes to highways are usually not found for a year or more. I've just downloaded the second version of the "2017" Garmin map (even though it's only July 2016) and old restaurants are still listed and the newer ones haven't found their way to the GPS.

Latest Technology Available NOW

Installation was effortless, I needed no additional software. Just plugged in the EA7500, looked for its wi-fi signal on my devices, connected with the Linksys supplied username and password and was able to immediately configure my new wi-fi network.
The EA7500 uses the brand new MU-MIMO tecnology which is supposed to ensure excellent connectivity to multiple demanding devices on your network. Since at this time I don't have any devices that can make use of this technology, I can't comment on the any improvements this router has over older technolgy, but it's good to know I'm ready for the future.
The wi-fi signal from the EA7500 was very good, but I didn't notice a huge difference from my Comcast supplied XB3 wireless gateway.

An Amazingly Powerful Lightweight Laptop

I compared this unit to the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 with the same specifications (Intel Core i7, 16 gigabytes of ram, 512 gigabytes of storage) and found at the time of purchase the Surface would have been ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS more expensive. Realizing the great reviews I've seen of previous Yogas the Surface was quickly out of contention.
I've been so happy with this new Yoga. It's light as a feather, the watch band hinge is as good as everyone says, and most important this thing is so fast it's scary. It boots up Windows 10 in seconds. I had another demonstration of this speed last week when I upgraded three different computers to the new build of WIndows 10. My first two older machines took about 45 minutes to upgrade. When i upgraded the Yoga 900 I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The upgrade was totally finished and ready to go in less than TEN minutes.
I've seen some complaints here about problems with the trackpad, keyboard, etc. I've experienced none of these.
The point i DO agree with everyone is the power supply 'brick' that plugs into the wall. It looks like it was designed by an engineering student dropout. It's 2 3/4 inches long and the 2 electrical prongs are right smack in the middle so it totally blocks other nearby outlets. My solution however was simple, just find a cheap extension cord around the house and plug the adapter into it. Problem solved, and you've got a longer power cord for your new computer.

No, for some reason this camera does NOT work with either the Nest app or home.nest.com. You can NOT see the output of the camera on your computer.

Previous reviewers are saying it's not compatible with the Nest App that my current doorbell and outdoor wired camera is on. Is this true? Can I integrate this camera with my Nest App and other cameras?
Unfortunately this camera is NOT compatible with the google Nest app which to me is a huge disappointment.
You have to use the Google "Home" app which does not work with a PC. So you can't even see the camera's output on a PC, which you obviously can with their other cameras.

How long does it take to charge one of these cameras? I would use it primarily overnight so during the day we would charge it whenever the battery is running low. Speaking of low battery, will the app display battery life remaining?
They claim that under normal use the battery should last about a month. Charging from zero to full should take about 5 hours.
