The Insignia "Voice" is very similar to the Amazon Echo. I like this better, for me it was much easier to connect to my other devices around the house. It connected instantly to my Nest thermostat. Alexa was always whining that she couldn't find it. It also connected quickly to my Wemo light dimmer. It's fun just saying, "hey google, turn off the light" than having to open the app on my smartphone to do the same thing.
It found my location more accurately than the Echo. When i ask for the weather or temperature it knows my exactly location as opposed to Alexa giving me the forecast for the nearest big city. Also this speaker will display the temperature when you ask for the weather. Unfortunately, it only lasts a few seconds, it would be amazing for it to display the outside temperature continually as it does for the exact time, but according to the manufacturer that's not going to happen.
A couple of negatives. When this speaker is playing music, you have to YELL "Hey GOOGLE" in order to get it to hear you.The Echo was better with that. Also Sirius-XM is not available yet on this device as it is on the Echo.
All in all though, for the price I'm very happy with it. Alexa lives in my living room and this speaker is on my nightstand. It's going to be fun to see what future updates will teach this device to do.

I've used nothing but cable for my television pictures for the last 40 years. The last two TV's I've purchased were packed with a loop antenna but performing a scan I've never received anything at all, my TV always said "0 found." I hooked up the Mohu Leaf and wow, it was like a magician pulling TV out of thin air. It found 22 different signals immediately.
It's really easy to assemble, you just hook the device into your TV's antenna input and the cord from the amplifier into your TV's USB port (it comes with an AC adapter if your TV doesn't have one). The antenna is like a flat flexible piece of heavy cardboard. You can just pin it to the wall. I don't know how they do it but it works!
I did notice that two of the available channels did have some pixelation, but for an indoor antenna the results were very good. It certainly would be worth a try if you want to "cut the cord" and not have to mess with an outdoor antenna.

Look! No Wires!

The first ear buds I’ve seen with absolutely no wires to connect them together. They are extremely light and I’d be worried about them falling out and disappearing (especially when jogging in the dark) but the rubber ear hooks keep them firmly in your ears.
The solid case they come in is really exceptional. The batteries should last 5 hours on a charge, but this hard case that you keep the ear buds in contain a storage battery that will keep them going for another 30 hours or so. You can also use the case to charge up a smartphone or any other device charged by a mini USB. The fact that the rubber charging cable is actually a part of the case means you’ll never misplace it.
The wireless ear bud system is truly revolutionary, but that means there’s a slight learning curve. Trust me, you’ll NEED to read the included instructions to pair them with your phone or music player. It took some trial and error, unlike most newer Bluetooth devices but after rereading everything it’s all working fine now. They pair just fine each time now without any hassle.
A couple of ‘cons;’ because the ear buds are small and not connected, and once again you’ll need the instructions to get to know your new buds, it’s really easy to accidentally skip ahead or back, turn the volume up or down when you don’t really want to by just touching the buds to adjust them in your ears. I’m sure I’ll learn to avoid that happening as I get used to them. Also for some reason the LEFT bud goes into the RIGHT side of the case, and vice versa. Since you need to make sure they’re going into the correct ear, both for fit and because the button on each controls different playback functions this takes getting used to as well.
Bottom line, if you’re looking for good sound with absolutely no wires, long lasting listening between charges and don’t mind the ‘learning curve’ for these buds, I think you’ll enjoy owning these.

I find Alexa fun to use at home, and with this device you'll have her in your car also, she'll handle the same requests she does at your home, plus guide you with turn by turn directions wherever you want to go.
Having said that, I'm conflicted. I've been a Garmin GPS user for decades. The newer units are amazing with big screens and REALLY clear directions, "Turn right after the McDonalds." etc. The Garmin Speak isn't that smart. I also found a few times where my GPS directed me with a smarter route than did the "Speak." I would not want to trade my new Garmin GPS for this.
We're all different however. If you use Alexa for many different functions this is a five star device and you'll love having it in your car. If not, as far as using this just for directions, I'd give it three stars, hence my four star review.
The Speak was easy to connect to my smart phone, the Garmin Speak App gives you clear easy to follow directions to get everything up and running. The Speak has no battery so it must be continually connected to your 12v power outlet.

Great for Beginners as well as Experts

I'm a long time photography buff with little experience in digital editing. (I'm from the old 35 mm.film days.) So when I loaded Photoshop Elements into my computer, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to find my way around the program.
What I love about the software is that you can use it in three different modes, "Quick" "Guided" or "Expert." In the first, Elements uses its power to just automatically fix your photo, for example "open eyes' or 'whiten teeth.' As you get more experienced, the second mode will allow you more control while still offering help. The 'Expert' mode assumes you know what you're doing and gives you total control.
I was amazed that you're able to do things like add clouds or even change the location of people in your photo.
In short, whether you're a beginner in all this as I am, or totally know your way around digital editing, you'll find this program powerful and easy to use.

Lightweight Well Made Earphones

Usually I've found that if headphones are very lightweight they are not durable, and the well built ones were exceedingly heavy. Plantronics has figured out how to combine the best of both. These are as lightweight as any I've ever tried, and yet are amazingly solid. The fiber braiding around the cords see to that. In addition to very nice sound and solid bass, I like the little things they've thought of, such as making the right earpiece cord in a lighter blue color than the left.
They paired up instantly to my Android phone and I was off. Battery life is better than similar models, I've been listening to mine for over 5 hours and they're still going strong. Plantronics says that in standby mode they're good for 240 hours!
They come complete with three different size earbuds and a little fabric straw string pouch which holds everything. Perfect to pop into your gym bag.
For the street price of less than $80, you can't go wrong with these.

A Wonderful Cordless Vac

FINALLY, a cordless vacuum cleaner which allows you to give away all your heavy corded ones. It's that powerful and yet easy to use and maneuver.
The battery is really long lasting. To recharge you just pop it out and place it in the charging unit. The battery can not be left in the unit to recharge. Hoover claims the battery lasts 3 times longer than the competition and I believe it.
The "Floorsense" feature really works. You no longer have to locate a hard to find switch or change to a different speed to go from carpet to bare floors, The cleaner figures it out for you and you can hear the speed adjust.
The REACT comes with more different attachments than you'd probably ever use. The small motorized brush attachment works great on stairs (you'll love how much easier it is to vaccum stairs without a power cord hanging down to add weight and possibly trip you.) The various attachments made it especially easy to clean my car.
The biggest negative of the unit is the fact that when your phone rings or you have other interruptions you need to lie the unit down flat on the floor. It is NOT freestanding. It has a wall hanging bracket to drill to your wall when you're not using it. Also as others have said, when emptying the cup, pet hair and dust got stuck around the metal filter
No product is perfect however, and these complaints are minor compared with how much you'll love using the Hoover REACT.

Comfortable Headset, Great Sound

The only noise cancelling headsets I've ever previously owned were the Bose Quietcomfort models, so I'll compare these to the Bose, although there is an "apples and oranges" situation with the comparison as the Bose were "over the ear" models and this is an "in ear" design.
The setup was easy. you download the free Sony app for your smartphone and you have total control over your 1000X. One distinct advantage that I saw immediately and liked over the Bose was that you have a very good audio equalizer on the app to change the EQ to your liking. There are some fixed settings (I like the "Excited" setting) or you can custom your personal sound with the 5 EQ controls. Bose headsets offer NO such customization. Amar Bose, the founder decided that customers should listen to their music the way HE decided so the fact that you can easily tailor your listening is a Sony plus.
The sound of these phones are truly amazing. I have never heard such clean bass from an "in ear" headphone. The highs are bright and clear as well. The sound to me is as clear as the Bose and the customization gives extra credit to the 1000X.
The Bose Quietcomfort 35 wins the noise cancelling contest however. Standing right by my furnace I compared the two. When you clicked on the Bose unit the fan noise disappeared. With the 1000X the higher frequencies of the fan went away but the lower frequency was still apparent (and yes, I turned up the noise cancelling feature up full on the app.) . Another plus for the Bose is battery life. The Bose offers almost 20 hours between charges, the Sony about half that.
Bottom line, the sound from these phones are AMAZING and lifelike. The wires are long enough so that you can swing your head without fear of the plugs falling out of your ears (Different size ear buds are provided!)
They are very comfortable to wear for extended listening and I think you look less "nerd like" listening to the Sony over the Bose. You will not be disappointed with the sound or comfort of the 1000X.

Big HD Screen. LIghtweight.

Normally a laptop with a 15 inch screen weighs a ton. This Chromebook weighs just 4 pounds. The computer boots up in just seconds and the screen is a full 1920x1080 full HD, the stereo full bodied sound from the two large speakers on either side of the backlit keyboard will blow you away. Battery life is up to 12 hours of continuous use.
I have Comcast Gigabit Internet and my two Windows laptops on wi-fi average about 350 Mbps.download speed. This chromebook easily averaged 550 Mbps!
This Acer was easier to connect my wireless HP printer than my other computers. I went to set it up and it suggested “Google Cloud Print.” I ‘got permission’ from my printer and BOOM, it was working. I wish my Windows computers were this easy to set up printing.
As far as the Chrome experience, If you’re most interested in email, watching videos, and other web based uses you’re fine. The two USB ports will easily allow you to attach thumb drives with huge amount of storage.

PERFECT for camping

I've checked out many Bluetooth speakers. I've noticed the ones with the best sound looked kind of fragile. With the Soundlink Micro, Bose has combined great sound with toughness.
This thing is built like a tank. Here's why its perfect for your next camping trip:
Its rubberized skin will resist brusing. Since it will work being dunked in up to 3 feet of water, being left out in the rain or snow will not be a problem (You can use the built in strap to hook it inside your shower)

Following the instructions I downloaded the "Bose Connect" app to my smartphone. It immediately found and connected to the speaker and downloaded a firmware update to it! You can then use the app to teach 'tricks' to the Micro. If you have two speakers with the app you can turn them into left and right stereo speakers or just connect as many of them as you have around your party area and have mono sound coming out of all of them. The internal battery (which you charge with the included standard USB cord) should last for at least 6 hours depending upon the volume.
The sound is big, as you'd expect from Bose. The main speaker faces front and a sub woofer faces the back. You can use it to answer your phone, I didn't try that feature however.
The only negative, depending upon how you want to use the Micro is that it has NO jack for a mini phono cord, you MUST connect it via Bluetooth.
Bottom line, it's a tough tiny speaker (It can clip anywhere and can hardly be seen) with a big sound. I'd recommend it especially for outside use where it doesn't have to be 'babied"

No, for some reason this camera does NOT work with either the Nest app or home.nest.com. You can NOT see the output of the camera on your computer.

Previous reviewers are saying it's not compatible with the Nest App that my current doorbell and outdoor wired camera is on. Is this true? Can I integrate this camera with my Nest App and other cameras?
Unfortunately this camera is NOT compatible with the google Nest app which to me is a huge disappointment.
You have to use the Google "Home" app which does not work with a PC. So you can't even see the camera's output on a PC, which you obviously can with their other cameras.

How long does it take to charge one of these cameras? I would use it primarily overnight so during the day we would charge it whenever the battery is running low. Speaking of low battery, will the app display battery life remaining?
They claim that under normal use the battery should last about a month. Charging from zero to full should take about 5 hours.

I already have a Nest aware subscription. Will these cameras be able to be added to my account?
Yes! The good news about the "Aware" subscription is that it will work with ALL your cameras.
