Great remake!

This was a great movie, my wife and I loved it! This is a great remake of an old classic. I could've done without Paris Hilton, but it was nice to see her get killed. I highly recommend it! Also, some other good remakes are Hills Have Eyes, Black X-mas, The Hitcher, and Last House on the Left. (Plus, they offer this movie in a 2 pack with the extended version of The Exocist. Great deal, if you don't either.)
What's great about it: Paris Hilton got killed.
What's not so great: Paris Hilton actually got a role in this movie.

This is a great 2 pack! You get the extended version of The Exorcist, which is one of the best horror movies ever made! Plus, you get House of Wax, a great remake of an old classic. You can't go wrong. I highly recommend it, especially for the price!
What's great about it: Both movies!
What's not so great: Couldn't find anything.

This movie had a lot of mixed views, some loved and some hated. Personally, my wife and I loved it! We thought it was just as entertaining as the first one. If you liked the first, I recommend watching it and making your own assessment. I personally recommend it!
What's great about it: Very intense with lots of gore.
What's not so great: Underrated sequel.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great remake!

This was a great remake, my wife and I loved! Brilliantly directed by Alexandre Aja (High Tension, Mirrors), and a great cast. I love all the remakes we are doing these days, because we can make them with better acting and special effects than the old ones. If you're a fan of the old one, you'll love this one. I highly recommend it! Also, some other good remakes are Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th, Black X-mas, and The Hitcher.
What's great about it: Alexandre Aja.
What's not so great: Couldn't find anything.

Great horror movie!

This movie was not as good as the first, but still good in it's own right, my wife and I liked it. The plot's a little cheesier than the first, and the make-up and acting weren't as good either. But, the film did have a bit more gore, which was nice, and of course Henry Rollins. In fact, he's the reason for me giving it 4 stars instead of 3. I'm a huge fan of his. I always jump at anything he's in, but that's me. I definitely recommend this, if you're a fan of the first one. Also, you should check out Hills Have Eyes 1 and 2, and Plague Town.
What's great about it: More gore and Henry Rollins!
What's not so great: The acting, make-up, and plot weren't as good as the first.

Despite the fact that horror fans likely missed it during its "blink-and-you-miss-it" theatrical run, director Rob Schmidt's grim, throwback chiller Wrong Turn gets a commendable DVD release thanks to 20th Century Fox. Presented in both 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen and 1.33:1 pan-and-scan, the transfer of the film is virtually flawless. With solid blacks in the frequent night scenes and spot-on skin tones as the sweaty teens elude their inbred pursuers, the image is clean and free of virtually any and all distortion and grain. One of the aspects of Wrong Turn that makes it as effective as it is in providing scares is the sound, and the English Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track certainly doesn't hold back when it comes to surrounding the viewer with terror. As twigs snap in the distance and various piercing objects burrow into human flesh, viewers will no doubt cringe at the remarkably vivid soundscape of this brutal film. Though at first fans may be enticed by the apparent wealth of extra features included on this disc, upon closer inspection there are really only a few truly valuable and entertaining bonuses here. A commentary track featuring director Schmidt and stars Eliza Dushku and Desmond Harrington is indeed fun in parts, and it's obvious that the trio is having a great time revisiting the film, but there are also extended stretches of silence that really grind things to a halt. In addition to citing the aforementioned use of sound and their desire to recreate that childhood rush of fear that only horror films can provide, the only other real reason to listen is to hear about the varied and numerous injuries sustained by the cast and crew during filming. Likewise, many of the extra features offer little insight into the production at all, with "The Making of Wrong Turn," and "Eliza Dushku: A Babe in the Woods" both clocking in at under five minutes -- hardly enough time to truly delve into the film's many impressive effects. The two featurettes that do stand out, however, are "Fresh Meat: The Wounds of Wrong Turn" and the one on Stan Winston, the former offering a neat look at the film's effects and the latter offering a nice retrospective in Winston's own words. Deleted scenes offer a romantic interlude under a waterfall that was likely cut for pacing, an "alternate" view of a kill that doesn't seem to differ from the onscreen version at all, and dailies of Emmanuelle Chriqui getting a mouthful of barbed wire. Rounding things out is a series of fun poster concept designs and the impressive and intense trailer.

Great horror movie!

Great horror movie, my wife and I love it! This is one of those 'it could happen to you' movies. We live in NC, but in the city. We have been to the Appalachian mountains at the NC and WV border, where movies like this and Deliverance were filmed. People think it's just a hokey story that makes good movies. It's not! There are things that go on there away from civilization that people don't know about, disturbing things! Maybe not to the extent in the film, but pretty close. That's what I think makes this movie more intriguing. If you haven't seen it, you should. This is a great horror movie that could pass for a true story. I highly recommend it!
What's great about it: Very intense and disturbing.
What's not so great: Couldn't find anything.

Great psychological thriller!

This was a good movie, my wife and I liked it! This movie got really mixed reviews. It really keeps you guessing and has a good twist at the end. However, I didn't like who the bad guy turned out to be. Al Pacino is great as usual. I highly recommend it, (mostly because I'm an Al Pacino fan). Also, some other twisted plot movies are Tortured, Street Kings, and Insomnia.
What's great about it: Al Pacino.
What's not so great: Couldn't find anything.

This is a great movie, my wife and I love it! I guess we're the only ones giving it 5 stars. We thought it deserved it. This is Jodie Foster's best role since Silence of the Lambs. This is a great movie for her to resurrect her career. This is a great revenge movie, I highly recommend it! Also, some other good revenge movies are Killshot, Taken, and Payback.
What's great about it: Jodie Foster at her best.
What's not so great: Couldn't find anything.
