The classic film w/DISNEY MISTAKE Where is DVD r

RATING FOR FILM NOT TERRIBLE NON RELEASE OF DVD PACKAGE
And, this is the 2cd time I have attempted to input this review, first on 2-8-12 so I should have had the first review on this page.
The beloved 1955 film. Have always loved the film, great music and of course the famous scene from the film.
I have been complaining about this since Disney started this-NOT putting their classic films out in a straight DVD release the same time as the blu ray.
Hey Disney, 1. I can NOT afford more expensive blu-ray discs & 2. I can NOT afford a blu-ray player
I so hope Disney looses sales again because of this.
Since the film begins and ends at Christmas so why wasn't this film released in November or December for holiday purchases?
You are forced to buy this when you only have a DVD player & you get NO EXTRAS so you have a blu ray disc Frisbee. Completely useless and a huge waste of your money.
Disney-some people can NOT afford blu ray players or more expensive discs, so RETURN TO RELEASING DVD'S.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good show, could be better poor DVD package

I am NOT a Playboy fan.
I started watching The Girls Next Door in early 2009. Became a fan because I liked Bridget & Holly.
I do enjoy the show. Here it is uncut so we get the language. Good the episodes are wide screen.
The seasons were TOO SHORT. Favorite episode in season one was Bridget's episode where the take the trip. And, I agree with what Holly said, her bobble head looked like a man.
Of course season two as short as it was is better. We got to see the whole Hef getting engaged to "The Runaway Bride". The other parts this season is that Jadye person causing problems and the fight with Angel and Josh finding his real mother.
You can tell some of this is staged. Good to see Vegas
What a cheap DVD package. The same photo of her on all three DVD's. NO episode information listed anywhere. A disappointment-no commentary
I hope further seasons of the show have more episodes
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ok, shows NOT as funny as normal-normal extras
on December 18, 2011

Not happy that it took Fox a year and a half to release this December 2011 when Volume 8 was released June 2010. Why did it take so long? Only positive, they did NOT release it Christmas week.
The 2010 & 2011 shows have NOT been as funny as past episodes. Controversial episodes, normal for the show.
Milestone. The 150th episode is here. And, I did NOT care for it when it first aired. Disgusting, out of line, NOT FUNNY bits between Brian & Stewie in the bank vault. Just did NOT work.
Shows are uncut here. Disc 3 the 3 episodes are widescreen. So, WHY NOT ALL THE EPISODES WIDESCREEN?
Normal extras in the package.
Now, the DVD packaging. Has one of those card board slip covers THEN HAS ONE OF THOSE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE PLASTIC CASES WITH THE INTENTIONAL HOLES IN THEM.
Extras says it has 1 episode of the Cleveland Show.
Good, but not great. Just need to get the shows back up to normal funny.

Good movie BUT some things we’ve seen before & TOO

I have been a fan & collector of Harrison's for over 30 years.
I USED to be first in the door opening day for his films. I did want to be there for this one but could not make it.
Now, we see latest Bond Craig throughout this movie & he got top billing. Why, the current in the long list of this character. No other hit movies. Now, Harrison. Let's see. Oscar nominated for Witness. Played two famous movie characters Han Solo & Indiana Jones. Long time biggest movie money maker.
The film is good. You have seen the ending a million times. The Wilde character, I won’t do spoilers here, you could guess.
Could hardly see a lot of the night action. Took forever to see the aliens. Stole part of that idea from "Alien".
Normal special effects.
One of the talk shows Harrison appeared on to promote the film mention how 3 films in a row he played a grouchy guy.
Too many shots of Craig making that touch guy face.
A few extras on the DVD-nothing special. No chapter search list. AND, COMCAST COME ON. We now get Comcast advertisements with DVD's. TACKY!!
So, a good movie. Pick out the seen before parts from other movies.

The beginning of the unfunny years & those after H

You know I have been a fan of the Simpsons since the first episode. NEVER did see it on the Tracy Oldman show.
Now, I understood when they started releasing the seasons on DVD about putting supporting characters on the packaging. But since they started that the last few seasons have NOT been if this makes sense major minor supporting characters. Kang or Kodos? How about Barney, Moe, Mr. Burns or Flanders?
Then making this themed after Kang & Kodos THEN releasing it December 2011? Sure, you need that to promote Christmas. And, why December 2011 & season 13 released August 2010? What was with the delay? At least they did NOT do what they did for several years-release it Christmas week.
Aren’t we glad they stopped the starting each season AFTER Halloween making Treehouse of Terror the 1st episode of the season? This was 1st season they did this. Stupid idea, post season baseball but why miss September?
This season was also the down fall I noticed of how funny the shows were. My favorite episode on disc 1 "How I Spent My Strummer Vacation" with Mick and Keith. Disc 3 "Mr. Spritz Goes to Washington" featuring Krusty is good as well.
Now, the DVD packaging is TERRIBLE. Hard to get the discs out in this horrible design.

The great film HORRIBLE DVD Disney has given up
on November 16, 2011

The 2cd DVD release to the great 1994 film.
"What Do You Want Me To Do? Dress In Drag & Do the Hula?" My favorite line from the film.
Scenes you want to play over and over. The music/songs. Memorable characters. A fantastic film.
Disney should be ashamed of themselves. I have been complaining about this since they started it in fall 2009. This stupid put the blu ray out earlier than the DVD. October 2011 for the blu ray and we had to wait until 11-15-11 for the DVD. I HOPE DISNEY HAS LOST A LOT OF MONEY FOR THESE ERRORS!!
One extra on this.
The great film, HORRIBLE DVD
If you do NOT have it already find & buy the 1st DVD release from 2004 MUCH BETTER, MUCH BETTER
Recommend for the film ONLY NOT the extras

First Disney/Pixar disappointment
on November 5, 2011
Posted by: CKCSWHFFAN

When I first heard they were making a sequel to the 2006 Cars film I was surprised. I liked the original film BUT is not at the top of the Disney/Pixar films. For me, second to last just ahead of 1998's A Bugs Life.
Other films would have made for better sequels. Perfect example 2004's The Incredibles. You could have had a story there.
This story made no sense what's so ever. We adults figured out the ending of who the bad guy or should I say bad car was I will NOT say it here so there are NO spoilers in this review.
McQueen back in Radiator Springs. Next race & he takes Mater & other with him. BUT, the rest of the story. 2 time Oscar winner Michael Caine could have phones the voice work in on a role he can do in his sleep.
How stupid Mater is, breaking up friendships & pushing other fuels in a mess of a story that just did NOT make sense.
The positive I give to the video makers. At least they released the DVD the same as the blu ray. This TERRIBLE, I COMPLAIN ABOUT IT EVERY TIME IT HAPPENS, MISTAKE OF RELEASING A BLU RAY EARLIER THAN THE DVD, was not done here. The DVD was NOT the plain jane silver ones Disney has been doing when they make those blu-ray earlier releases. You get a real colorful DVD.
No chapter search list a mistake. A few extras on it, nothing major. But, when the film was disappointment. Did not live up to the expectations , since 2006 the Disney/Pixar releases have been coming out in May or June and did great business. This one did come in first place for the opening weekend, but the final numbers.
When you see the film you will understand why still a hit movie it just was not normal Disney/Pixar material.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Decent film POOR BLU-RAY & WHERE ARE THE DVD’S
on October 30, 2011

Well, here I go again with the comments I have been forced to input since fall 2009.
What is Disney thinking? This Release ONLY blu-ray packages BUT we DVD people have to sit & wait for that package?
Terrible. I hope Disney loses a lot of money again because of this idiot choice.
I can NOT afford regular DVD’s, how can I afford blu-rays?
The film is decent. Jumps around is she or isn’t she with Cruz. At least she can say she has a hit box office movie now.
The changing of the Rush’s character. Been in all the films but they keep messing with the character. And, his character was not even spoken of on the promotional part on the DVD case.
It is okay to surprise your audience, but the story jumps EVERY TWO SECONDS get to be a bit much.
Johnny can do the Jack character in his sleep. Bringing Keith Richards back for a cameo. Only other past character coming back was Gibbs.
Now, this LAME, CHEAP BLU-RAY PACKAGE.
Yep, I paid an expensive amount of money for an OLD DAYS BUT NOT FOR DISNEY PLAIN SILVER DVD & A COLORFUL FRISBEE.
Back when DVD’s came out in the late 1990’s remember Disney films had colorful discs. BUT EVERYONE IS DOING BLU-RAY DISNEY. Does anyone think Walt would have allowed there cheap looking DVD’s to be released if he was still alive? No, I do NOT think so.
How about these plastic cases WITH THE INTENTIONAL HOLES IN THEM. CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP. So discs can be damaged SO YOU ARE FORCED TO BUY ANOTHER.
No chapter list, any information on the film.
Film is fine, best of course is still the 2003 original. But, DISNEY DVD PEOPLE ARE STILL OUT HERE SO RELEASE THEM PROPERLY & STOP THE CUTTING OF CORNERS.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Classic film SUBPAR DVD PACKAGE
on September 20, 2011

Disney does NOT care about us anymore.
Just released for the 70th anniversary of the film December 2011.
3rd time the film has been released on DVD. Apparently Disney thinks EVEYRONE has a blu ray player. I do NOT, can not afford one NOR the more expensive discs.
This DVD is plain silver. There are a few extras. Film full screen again.
If you want a good DVD of this film get the 2001 60th anniversary or the 2006 Big Top Edition. More extras, nice looking discs with Dumbo on them.
Cut corners Disney & your customers will notice.
The film is still a classic & great. A far cry from a lot of the animation done now a days. A class act & still a delight.
Rating & recommendation for the film NOT for this DVD

Funny & true For us Star Wars fans
on September 17, 2011

I enjoyed the book.
Looked forward to this on HBO. A footnote, Entertainment Tonight INCORRECTLY stated this DVD was available in May 2011 when it was NOT released until 9-13-11. ET is just terrible now a days huh?
I knew a lot of what Carrie spoke about in her show since I started following her career since 1980. One thing I did NOT know she had married Billie’s father. Never heard or saw that happen in the 1990's.
Some good deleted scenes. An interview with Debbie.
Good to see the show in widescreen since HBO REFUSES TO SHOW FILM IN WIDESCREEN ON THEIR NETWORK.
For us Star Wars fans her stories about the trilogy are good. The questions the audience asked when she told her story about her friend were DUMB.
Carrie has not brought her show to my home town, would like to see it live.
Enjoyed the show. Good job Carrie.
And, came out on DVD same week the Star wars blu-rays. Since I do NOT have blu ray that does me no good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Kardashian sisters feel the impact of celebrity in this season, when Khloé must deal with the very public aftermath of her DUI, while Kim and Kourtney contend with sibling rivalry as their professional and personal relationships blur.

Guilty pleasure, MUCH IMPROVED OVER SEASON 2
By CKCSWHFFAN from home
Yes, the show is a guilty pleasure.
Episodes that aired in 2009. 12 episodes this season
Now, THE IMPROVEMENTS. 1. The episodes are wide screen, 2. Disc 1 has deleted scenes & 3. Disc 2 has commentary for episodes. Why not with each episode-no clue about that. But it is MUCH better than the blog from Rob on season 2.
Now, this time out apparently there are ONLY 3 Kardashians in this season. Kourtney, Kim & Khloe are only shown on both sides of the DVD case. BOTH discs have the same photo of them. So, they do NOT give credit to Kris, Bruce, Rob, Kendall & Kylie? Show is called Keeping Up With The Kardashians NOT Keeping Up With The Kardashian Sisters.
1 big mistake done again on this DVD. Same CHEAP, PLASTIC DVD CASE WITH THE INTENTIONAL HOLES IN IT. CHEAP & NOT SAFE. Apparently the DVD makers just want people to buy this over & over again since the DVD are NOT safely secure.
And, a point for anyone. There was MASS CONFUSION ABOUT THE RELEASE DATE OF THIS DVD. It was released 8-17-10. Some stores & websites changed the date until 9-21-10. THIS WAS UNTRUE. I purchased the DVD from a local store 8-18-10. So, make sure IF you want it check with the store. DO NOT GO BY PRINTED MATERIAL
