Decent Disney film has better extras than Oscar wi

OK, the packaging for the film advertises "From the Directors of The Little Mermaid and Aladdin".
We all remember those 2 films, huge hits, Oscar winning music, memorable characters & scenes.
So, when you see that you expect Princess & the Frog would be the same right? Nope.
It is a decent film. Did decent box office. But can we remember any characters, scenes or the music? No. Did it win any Oscars for anything? No.
Good animation. As I input this review after purchasing this set July of 2012 Disney just released 1995's Oscar winning hit "Pocahontas" . That Oscar winning film & the sequel did NOT have as good of extras as this film has on this blu ray/DVD package. There is a Making of for this film & several other extras.
So, if you or your child are Disney fans you should like the film. It does NOT require repeat viewings anytime soon. Today was the first time I have seen the film since 2010.

I remember when the film came out in 1995 I was originally not too interest in the idea for the film & Disney doing it.
Bought the video tape & I was surprised. Great film, beautiful animation & that Oscar winning music.
The sequel, never had much interest in it. Thought it was unnecessary to do.
Blu ray package has extras, decent.
Now, the problem I have with this package. Blu ray Disney promoting how great it is & picture quality. In the other Disney blu/ray DVD combo packs the blu ray discs have colorful art work, only SOMETIMES the DVD does. In this package Disney is NOW GOING CHEAP WITH BLU RAY Both films are on 1 blu ray disc & the disc is plain jane blue. Then 2 DVD's 1 for each film & they are plain jane silver. Cheap Disney, very, very cheap & disappointing.
RATING FOR MOVIE NOT FOR PACKAGE

Good movie, good/decent extras

We remember Walt Disney's quote about it all started with a mouse. Pixar must have thought of that when coming up with the idea for the film.
Winner for Best Animated Film Oscar.
It is a fun film. NOT the best of the Disney/Pixar films. I found it to have more laughs than Cars or A Bugs Life.
Good picture quality of course. Good normal extras on the set.
Good purchase for any Disney/Pixar fan of any age.

Good film NOT the best Pixar good extras

The 2cd of the Pixar films.
It is a good film BUT no where near the best of Pixar's films.
You can enjoy it BUT do you need to rewatch soon? Nope. The film does NOT have really any memorable characters, jokes, moments.
Good looking film, blu ray is good for it.
Has some decent extras.
An enjoyable film but as stated above, NOT the best of Pixar's work.

Great, fun film with message good extras

Winner for Best Animated Film Oscar.
I really enjoy the film. It does have a message, BUT unlike previous Disney message films like 2003’s Brother Bear it does NOT get shoved down your throat without having fun.
You really like the Wall-e & Eve characters.
Great picture. Good extras on the blu ray.
Good purchase for any Disney/Pixar fan of any age.

Great movie-good package BUT….1 problem

Since I recently got my blu ray player there are only certain titles I will purchase on blu ray-meaning I can live with DVD
Lion King was one title I knew I would get
Of course-4 disc set BESIDES HAVING A BLU RAY PLAYER YOU HAVE TO HAVE A SPECIAL ONE & SPECIAL CONNECTION TO SEE THE 3D Nope-don’t think so THEN GO BUY GLASSES Nope
Good picture quality on the film of course
Extras-now here is where I have a complaint there are several good extras in this package Some were already in the original DVD release
OK, they gathered the animators to speak with them Good to see BUT, out of the actors we only get to see Broderick & Lane? Excuse me. Where was James Earl Jones, Oscar winners Whoopi Goldberg & Jeremy Irons? Didn’t speak to Elton John? Only 2 of the actors appeared in this package I was very disappointed with this. A let down to fans
Over all except for this 1 problem I was pleased with the package
And, of course anytime I can rewatch my favorite scene/line "What Do You Want Me To Do? Dress In Drag & Do The Hula?"

Good BUT not great set rating for films NOT packa

Well, we all know George. This is the 1st release of the films to blu ray & it will NOT be the last. We know he will release them numerous times on blu ray.
This set is for episodes 1, 2 & 3-Menace, Clones & Sith. No where as good as the original trilogy
The only extras are commentary.
So, this is you bones bare set-if you just want the three films then this is for you. The nine disc complete set is better BUT not perfect.
Rating for films NOT for package-package would get a 3.

For a Muppets fan-I was disappointed

When I first heard they were going to do a new film I was happy. The last film Muppet film I did not care for.
I like Amy Adams but her role here is a stereo type of the girlfriend role. Oscar nominated 3 times, she could have phoned the performance in.
Was glad to see all my favorite characters. Did we care of how Piggy looked in the film-not really.
Too bad they could not get some celebrities that had appeared on the show or in the earlier movies. Jack Black? Bottom of the barrel huh?
Won an Oscar for the song. Slow year for music. Reusing songs in the soundtrack. Not talking about Muppet songs but AC-DC & others? Tacky.
Extras are ok-all extras like bloopers & making of of course are staged.
I will not be doing the digital download for the film nor soundtrack.
An OK film-just could have been better.

Well, we all know George. This is the 1st release of the films to blu ray & it will NOT be the last. We know he will release them numerous times on blu ray.
I am a Star Wars fan & collector for over 31 years-started collecting August of 1980. Took Empire to do that.
Ok, we get all six films wide screen. BORING DISCS, NO ARTWORK ON THEM.
Three discs are extras. Two of these discs are extras for the six films. We veteran Star Wars fans know there are still missing deleted scenes-need bloopers. Commentary for the films.
The third disc of extras has different documentaries & specials. THE ONE I AM DISAPPOINTED IN IS THE SPOOFS SECTION. Ok, Saturday Night Live-hey people isn’t the best the episode where Carrie hosted? It is NOT here. I never watched the Friends TV show but is there NOT an episode where Aniston has the metal bikini? Where is the Big Bang Theory? Family Guy-so many to choose form & they only did a few bits from different episode. Where was the one with Mark?
And, of course where is the Star Wars Holiday Special?
Brochure inside set is LACKING I expected information on the films-nope nothing. And that 2 page art work at the back of the package. The main characters from episodes 4, 5 & 6 OR THE CHARACTERS WE LOVE Han, Leia, Luke in my opinion are barely shown in top right corner. SHOULD BE RIGHT IN FRONT WITH VADER, YODA, CHEWBACCA & THE DROIDS RIGHT?
We can just sit here & await the next time George does a blu ray release & see if improvements are made.
Rating 5 for films, package would get a 4

The Kardashian sisters feel the impact of celebrity in this season, when Khloé must deal with the very public aftermath of her DUI, while Kim and Kourtney contend with sibling rivalry as their professional and personal relationships blur.

Guilty pleasure, MUCH IMPROVED OVER SEASON 2
By CKCSWHFFAN from home
Yes, the show is a guilty pleasure.
Episodes that aired in 2009. 12 episodes this season
Now, THE IMPROVEMENTS. 1. The episodes are wide screen, 2. Disc 1 has deleted scenes & 3. Disc 2 has commentary for episodes. Why not with each episode-no clue about that. But it is MUCH better than the blog from Rob on season 2.
Now, this time out apparently there are ONLY 3 Kardashians in this season. Kourtney, Kim & Khloe are only shown on both sides of the DVD case. BOTH discs have the same photo of them. So, they do NOT give credit to Kris, Bruce, Rob, Kendall & Kylie? Show is called Keeping Up With The Kardashians NOT Keeping Up With The Kardashian Sisters.
1 big mistake done again on this DVD. Same CHEAP, PLASTIC DVD CASE WITH THE INTENTIONAL HOLES IN IT. CHEAP & NOT SAFE. Apparently the DVD makers just want people to buy this over & over again since the DVD are NOT safely secure.
And, a point for anyone. There was MASS CONFUSION ABOUT THE RELEASE DATE OF THIS DVD. It was released 8-17-10. Some stores & websites changed the date until 9-21-10. THIS WAS UNTRUE. I purchased the DVD from a local store 8-18-10. So, make sure IF you want it check with the store. DO NOT GO BY PRINTED MATERIAL
