To this day, The Partridge Family is still my favorite TV shows.
AS I did when I wrote the review for the 3rd season in 2008.
WHAT THE HECK TOOK SO LONG TO RELEASE THIS? Seasons 1 & 2 were BOTH released on DVD in 2005. Took till 2008 for season 3 & FINALLY this last season in 2009.
It is my least favorite of the shows 4 seasons.
The bringing in of Ricky Segall. What a mistake & a waste. Just because the younger kids weren’t as cute as they used to be because they grew up.
2 episodes in the season PART of them had to do with missing/stolen jewelry.
The show needed a kick & did NOT find it in this last season. It had lost it’s spark. Most of the music did not work by this point.
TO this day do any of us around at this time remember exactly what the Williams brothers did for 15 minutes of fame that got them this episode based on them?
Disappointing, as with all the previous DVD releases NO EXTRAS, NOT A ONE.
Hope in the future when the 4 seasons are re released a better job, not as much time between release dated & GET SOME SORT OF EXTRAS ON THEM.

If you do NOT like advertisements in your DVDs then you will NOT want to buy this DVD.
For the film it’s self, Meryl SHOULD have won the Oscar for this 1 instead of that person where their career is being s stripper & taking their clothes off in nearly every movie they do.
The entire cast was good in their roles, Philip as the Father, Amy as the young nun. Now, Viola Davis's role was SO SMALL. And, her character was walking asleep & did NOT care about her child. Surprised she got an Oscar nomination for such a small role.
Now, the DVD package--we step in to the old days of DVD's with a plain silver disc. BORING.
Now, the ads I mentioned before. NO CHAPTER SEARCH LIST in the package, all you get are 2 ads. When you input the disc it wants to show you coming attraction (ads). When you start to play the movie, ANOTHER AD. Nice way to miss it skip to the next chapter to ACTUALLY GET TO THE MOVIE OR WHAT YOU PAID FOR.

20th Century Fox finally does right and delivers to Region 1 customers what Europeans have been enjoying for quite some time before this -- the two-disc Predator: Collector's Edition DVD! Save for packaging and some clips about the Alien vs. Predator knock-down-drag-out flick (which the disc was undoubtedly released to promote), the content is an exact transfer from the Region 2 disc that some region-free savvy customers have already indulged in. For many though, this stuff is all new -- finally, a disc that lives up to the blockbuster film that spawned a series. Also released in a full-screen edition, this disc comes with a superb anamorphic 1.85:1 widescreen image and both DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks. The audio tracks have taken a bit of heat in the past for minor annoyances (directional gunfire is a bit off), while the dialogue can be a tad on the soft side, though for the most part, the mix works and delivers where the goods count. Disc one comes with the film and two commentary tracks -- one with director John McTiernan and the other, a text commentary from a film historian and most of the main crew. McTiernan isn't known to be the most engaging fellow on earth, though if you can get past his sullen mood, then there will be plenty to learn from this aging director as he looks back on his second feature. Disc two is packed with extras that every Predator fan will love, starting with the 30-minute "If It Bleeds, We Can Kill It" documentary. With interviews spanning almost the entire cast and crew, the grueling behind-the-scenes tales of the production are fleshed out in extreme detail -- from the catastrophe of the original monster costume (worn by none other by the "Muscles From Brussels" himself, Jean-Claude Van Damme!) to the sweltering heat and jungle infections, it's one heck of a tale and a nice documentary to boot. Seven featurettes are listed in the "Inside the Predator" menu, each ranging from tributes to Kevin Peter Hall (the big man inside the suit) to good old "Painless" -- Jesse Ventura's Gatling gun. With even more sections dedicated to the FX of the film (including some brief glimpses of the first suit -- Ouch!), one deleted and basically unneeded scene for you to chew on, some outtakes, and a flurry of galleries for you to enjoy, there's more than enough extra stuff on this disc to make it worthwhile. Add in the trailer, and you have one massive two-disc with enough on-set interviews and hidden Easter eggs to keep any film buff occupied for an entire afternoon.

FAVORITE BIT. JESSE VENTURA & THAT GUN HIS CHARACTER USED!! Just loved that.
Good action film.
Script however. TO THIS DAY I STILL CAN NOT FIGURE OUT IF I HEARD CORRECTLY 1 LINE ARNOLD'S CHARACTER DUTCH SAYS. MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL. When, he, Carl Weathers & his men attack the camp the hostages are in. He yells at one of his men & MAKES NO SENSE.
BEFORE we learn Carl's character sent them there for a different reason FOR NO REASON all of Arnold's men treated him like garbage, with an attitude. What did the character do BEFORE we learn about the REAL MISSION to deserve that?
Kind of a tacky DVD package. Thin card board. Mine is hard to get closed up.
Ok, regular, normal extras.
A passable, OK DVD package.
What's not so great: Some of the script is garbage

I liked the animal characters, Rhino the best of them.
What I did NOT like about the film was the 2 name voice talent. I am NOT a fan of Travolta & Miley "WHEN WILL THE 15 MINUTES BE UP?" Cyrus.
I am NOT a country music fan so the soundtrack was not a stand out.
1 story flaw. EVERY TIME we see characters working in the entertainment industry we see the same type of studio big wigs, directors, etc. NEVER any change in that.
No special, stand out extras with it.
Nice for the digital copy if you choose to use it.
What's not so great: No special extras & the VOICE TALENT

I have grown to like the film more as time has gone by.
Good story, the Stitch character became very popular.
Beautiful animation. Nicely designed DVD package.
Had a point to the story about family but did NOT make people sick in getting the point across.
Already the 2cd DVD release of the film. I REMEMBER SEEING THEY WERE ORIGINALLY GOING TO RE-RELEASE IT ON DVD IN 2004.
Ok, normal, decent extras with this DVD package. I normally enjoy the "Making of" segments.
But, the rest of this DVD package. A COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT DISNEY.
WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?
1. THESE HORRIBLE HAVE THE LITTLE FLIP OPEN PARTS TO GET INTO THE CASE/JEWEL BOX Some Disney DVD"s have them some do not. HOW ABOUT NONE DISNEY? 2. Is Disney thinking it is 10 year ago at the beginning of DVD's? WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THE PLAIN, SILVER DISCS? This film has beautiful animation but yet THERE IS NOTHING ON THE DISC
I hope Disney does better in the future with the 3rd DVD release of the film.
What's great about it: Good story, beautiful animation
What's not so great: HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE DVD PACKAGE
Everyone's favorite dysfunctional heavy metal family gets the royal treatment in this special DVD set. The Osbournes: The Second Season, which pulls together the episodes from the second run of the popular MTV reality series, has been transferred to disc in its original full-frame aspect ratio of 1.33:1, and the audio has been presented in Dolby Digital Stereo. Viewers have the choice of watching the episodes with censored or uncensored soundtracks. Bonus material includes an alternate commentary track featuring the thoughts of Sharon Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne; 30 minutes of outtakes; an "Ozzy Translator" to compensate for the great man's faulty diction; and two interactive games.

I had read the reviews. So, I was NOT sure what to expect.
ONE THING I HAVE HATED ABOUT THE MARKETING OF THE FILM. CREDIT FOR ACTORS….I'm sorry but should NOT the Oscar winner get top billing over the Oscar nominee? Leo got top billing over Russell just because of "The Nudie Boat Movie"?
This was a big mistake.
The film is good. Not great. Russell did his usual good job with his role. Once again playing a character older & larger (he had to put on weight again like he did in "The Insider").
All Leo does is be angry, yell & curse.
I did expect more with this 2 disc DVD package. Commentary from Ridley & a couple of writers. NO actor commentary. Russell should have been there, remember he & Ridley have now worked together 4 times. Just no real special extras on this except for the digital copy disc. Only good to input for a year after DVD release.
Then, another credit problem. When you read the back the DVD they credit Ridley with "American Gangster" & "Black Hawk Down". How about "Blade Runner", a little Best Picture & Actor winner "Gladiator", "Alien" etc.

I remember when this came out. Bill was on "GMA" & did the weather.
Funny, original film. You wish comedies were ALL like this.
Bill did a great job as Phil. All the things he did in the film as February 2 kept repeating.
Harold in his bit part as the doctor. Another cameo by Willie Garson (Stanford from YOU KNOW WHAT & the City, There's Something About Mary). I CAN NOT INPUT THE 1ST WORD OF THE SHOW
Decent extras on the DVD.
BUT, an anniversary edition? Needed more. Like……… NO CHAPTER LIST OR ANY INFORMATION INSIDE ON THE FILM. The film was a hit & this is an anniversary release of it, how about something inside to read on the film?
I did NOT care for the artwork on the front.
What's great about it: Decent extras
What's not so great: No chapter list or info inside

My buying this DVD is the 1st time I have seen the film in years.
The film still holds up 20 years after i'’s release.
Carrie did NOT get enough credit for her role. I thought her performance of Marie was perfect.
I have NEVER been a fan of Ryan's. Never will be. Her romantic comedy career was with this film & the famous deli scene.
Now famous director Barry Sonnenfeld (Men in Black, Addams Family) was director of photography.
DVD has good extras. Deleted scenes, glad there are some too look at even though they are brief.
One scene error. The 1 New Year's Eve when Harry & Sally go to the party, they go outside. DID THAT LOOK LIKE NEW YORK ON NEW YEAR'S EVE? I have never been to New York BUT I KNOW IT IS VERY COLD, SO WHY WASN’T ANY OF THE CAST DRESSED FOR BEING OUTSIDE CELEBRATING?
The Kardashian sisters feel the impact of celebrity in this season, when Khloé must deal with the very public aftermath of her DUI, while Kim and Kourtney contend with sibling rivalry as their professional and personal relationships blur.
Overall4 out of 5
Guilty pleasure, MUCH IMPROVED OVER SEASON 2
ByCKCSWHFFANfromhome
Yes, the show is a guilty pleasure.
Episodes that aired in 2009. 12 episodes this season
Now, THE IMPROVEMENTS. 1. The episodes are wide screen, 2. Disc 1 has deleted scenes & 3. Disc 2 has commentary for episodes. Why not with each episode-no clue about that. But it is MUCH better than the blog from Rob on season 2.
Now, this time out apparently there are ONLY 3 Kardashians in this season. Kourtney, Kim & Khloe are only shown on both sides of the DVD case. BOTH discs have the same photo of them. So, they do NOT give credit to Kris, Bruce, Rob, Kendall & Kylie? Show is called Keeping Up With The Kardashians NOT Keeping Up With The Kardashian Sisters.
1 big mistake done again on this DVD. Same CHEAP, PLASTIC DVD CASE WITH THE INTENTIONAL HOLES IN IT. CHEAP & NOT SAFE. Apparently the DVD makers just want people to buy this over & over again since the DVD are NOT safely secure.
And, a point for anyone. There was MASS CONFUSION ABOUT THE RELEASE DATE OF THIS DVD. It was released 8-17-10. Some stores & websites changed the date until 9-21-10. THIS WAS UNTRUE. I purchased the DVD from a local store 8-18-10. So, make sure IF you want it check with the store. DO NOT GO BY PRINTED MATERIAL
