Perfect laptop for my pre-teens and toddler

My kids were all issued Chromebooks for school. From time to time they have issues with their school issued devices, usually around forgetting passwords or power cables, so I decided to get this one as a backup. I also wanted to get my toddler into learning about computers, so its been good for him as well. We primarily use it for YouTube videos and educational content.
So far, I've been very happy with it for my intended purposes. It's not the fastest laptop in the house, but it functions well for homework, looking at online content and I like to look up recipes for dinner. I will say it is faster than I thought it would be considering the processor, memory and 64gb hard drive.
This is definitely not a powerhouse or workhorse laptop, but it doesnt need to be for general purpose use. The screen size is ideal and although its a larger sized laptop, it's still pretty portable overall. Once i unpacked it and charged it up, logged into my Google account, it was pretty much smooth sailing from there. I would recommend this laptop.

Louder than I expected, but works great

I have a gas pressure washer that I've been using for a couple of years now although I've been looking into the electric models. My gas model is about 2400 PSI and is extremely loud, requires gas and some annual maintenance. When i saw this, I wanted to give it a try.
Setup was pretty simple, with the instructions and took about 10 minutes after unboxing everything. It's about the same size as my existing one and can actually be stored by sitting it upright on the front bar. The soap tank is pretty large and I like that I can visibly see how much is left unlike my gas model. The water pressure is great and it comes with five different tips depending on your preferred use. All of the tips can be stored onboard so they wont be lost. It has a 25 foot hose and the power cord is 35 feet in length.
I really like how simple it is to power on. No priming or pulling a cord to get it going. You simply press the power button on the top of the tank and it's up and running. Simple and easy. I was a little surprised at how loud it was, but it's still quieter than my gas model. All in all, I am very happy with this pressure washer and definitely recommend it.

Entry level drone, ideal for kids and beginners

The weather here in Ohio has been pretty lousy lately with heavy winds and rain, but I was finally able to get this drone out for its first flight. This is my third drone and while it isnt on the same level as my other two, it is ideal for my kids to use. This drone is lightweight, has a 4k camera and is pretty easy to learn to fly. It is very compact and I was happy that this came with a protective carrying case to store the drone when I'm travelling or when not in use. It came with only one battery, which i was kind of dissapointed about and it has about a 20+ minute flight time. The battery takes a decent amount of time to recharge as well. About 2 1/2 to 3 hours. I havent been able to find a spare battery, so that kind of adds to the reason behind the 4 star review. I guess with it being newer, perhaps they arent available yet.
I tried not to compare this to my higher end, more expensive drones so that I could give it a fair review and that was kind of difficult given my experience with them. All in all, i would say if you are curious about getting into the drone life, you could do worse than this model. It is entry level and you will learn the basic skills of flight with it. It worked fine with my iPhone 13 Pro and it also works with Android.
I think for the cost and ability to learn without breaking the bank, I would recommend this for newbies and those who have some curiosity about getting into drones.

Always the best when it comes to cordless phones

I'm probably in the minority when it comes to having a household phone. Most people primarily use cellular phones for phone calls, but with teens at home that I have yet to allow to own a cellphone, this is their primary way of communicating with us and their friends. Cordless phones have changed greatly since I bought my first one and these have stepped up the game even further.
The last two sets of cordless phones have both been made by Panasonic. I find they have the best clarity, features and have lasted the longest versus other brands that I have previously owned. These phones are crystal clear, have really good battery life and works well with my Vonage VOIP setup. The newest feature that I wasnt aware of was being able to pair my cell phone with this cordless phone. It's a pretty cool feature and allows me to put my cell phone and watch down so that I can enjoy some digital detox. The buttons are large and easy to find and i really like the backlit buttons and the intercom feature.
This is a quality set up from a great brand in cordless phones and I highly recommend them.

Easy to use and works great

I’ve had this for about a week now and have been presently surprised by its performance. The last time I had a radar detector is when I was 18 years old and drove what I considered to be my first sports car (94 Pontiac Grand Am GT). I later found out it really wasn’t a sports car but it was to me. That was a different time.
I normally use the Waze app with my phone and it does a decent job of alerting me to police in the area, but I believe it relies on other drivers to get accurate information. This radar detector has worked flawlessly for me. I drive anywhere from 75-150 miles per day on average and most of its highway miles so having something that alerts me to police presence on those stretches of road where I feel a little more comfortable hitting the gas, is a necessity.
It paired with my phone easily and I did a software update using a windows based computer and so far no issues. I’m debating on trying the annual service but I’m going to wait on that for a little while. The only complaint that I really have is with the audio alerts. The radar is sitting on my dashboard and the audio still sounds muffled. I don’t know it has interference with the radio or center channel speaker but it’s definitely not the best. I also wish there was a way to mount the radar to the dashboard as opposed to the windshield.
I do like the arrows that light up to show which direction the radar is coming from and the extra long cord which also allows you to plug in another usb-a device instead of losing your cigarette lighter. Overall this thing is pretty feature packed and easy to setup.

Blink is upping it's game!

My father introduced me to Blink cameras a year or so ago and I've continued to be impressed with their offerings ever since. They all have great features and are relatively easy to install if you have a little bit of DIY knowledge and about 30-45 minutes of time.
I knew Blink more for its wireless cameras than I did for anything that is hardwired. My wife and I have recently gotten into AirBNB rentals and we are looking for some security cameras that are both affordable and doesnt break the bank for recording fees. Blink accomplishes both of those with this camera. The lights are plenty bright for my needs at 2600 lumens and the camera, while it needs a little polishing on the night vision, particularly when the lights are activated, this is a really good entry into floodlights for Blink. The only reason I took off 1 star is because of the wash out when the camera begins recording. From what I've heard, this will be addressed in an upcoming software update.
This will probably end up being re-installed at my Grandfather's house since his floodlights need replaced and we need a camera to cover his backyard. As a family we have installed several Blink cameras on the exterior of the house and a couple on the inside so we can make sure he is ok. The investment into these camera's has been much less than I would have paid for other brands, so that makes these more valuable in my opinion. I dont think you can go wrong with this floodlight camera.

I’m really starting to like their products

It’s been pretty cold out here in Ohio so I haven’t had a chance to install this yet, but I’m really impressed with the features of this floodlight compared to some of my other brands.
I have several different brands of floodlight cameras for my home and my Airbnb’s and when I look at the initial cost, subscription plans and feature set, this one fits my needs the most. I have their wireless video doorbell, wireless indoor/outdoor cameras and this floodlight. They all work well together and are quite simple to install.
My favorite feature of this floodlight camera is that it’s dusk to dawn capable. Install it and forget it, just leave the light switch on. Some other brands, you can setup a schedule and the lights will come on, but this just works. I don’t have to account for daylight savings time or for those days when the weather is bad and it gets dark earlier. I prefer simple setup, simple use and reliability.
This also works with Google and Alexa which is great. I’m hoping with the Matter standard being rolled out that it will eventually work with Apple HomeKit, but if not, Alexa will do.
This brand wouldn’t ordinarily be a brand I would look for, but after getting several of their products, it’s the better setup for my needs. I definitely recommend

Simple and non-invasive. No pop-ups either!!

In this day and age, you really cant have enough protection against viruses, hackers, stolen identity, etc. To protect myself and my family from these issues and to monitor what websites my children are navigating to, I ordered this and installed it. The thing I like most about it is that once it's installed, there really isnt much you need to do besides setting it up the first time.
I have some other software for anti-virus and maintenance that drives me crazy because every time I log on, there is a pop-up asking me for this or to order that. I've played with the settings and still the problem persists. This is nothing like that. I usually dont even know it's running. I do get reports telling me the status of things, but I can change the frequency if I want to and the information is quick and simple.
The other thing that shouldnt be overlooked about this software is the unlimited VPN. If you are someone who uses public Wi-Fi frequently, this is a feature you should definitely use. To be honest, the software is worth it just for that aspect alone. When I'm out and about, especially when I'm traveling, free internet access is great, but you put yourself and your personal information at risk. Turn on the VPN and you're protected. I have used this multiple times on my iPad and MacBook while traveling or at a coffee shop and I havent noticed any decrease in speed or connectivity.
In a nutshell, this is great software with minimal interference, good parental controls and free unlimited VPN. For those reasons, I highly recommend it.

Just ok for me, nothing special

I ordered this to add to my existing Norton subscription and so far it seems ok. It's nothing really special to this point, but I guess that could be considered a good thing until I need it. I believe in the mantra that it's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.
The initial installation was a bit confusing because there were really no instructions on how to download and install it. I reached out to customer service for instructions on how to install this and about a day or so later I recevied a response. Basically, i had to log into my account and select the software. I have to admit, it was a bit confusing and it is possible that I dont have it completely installed, but I have gotten some notifications to date about my personal information being found on the dark web. This is one thing i think they need to fix. Installation should be pretty cut and try. Download the software and install it. Simple.
I will continue to use the software to see if it really benefits me while I have the subscription and then determine if its something I truly need to pay for. As of right now, I dont really think so, but time will tell.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect addition to my HomeKit setup

I have used several brands of smartlocks between my house, rental properties and our AirBNB and this one is my favorite. I dont know too many that are compatible with HomeKit, which is my preferred hub for smart devices.
I had a few issues when installing this and had to reach out to customer service to get them resolved. Customer service was extremely helpful and went through the entire setup process with me and stayed on the phone to make sure everything was operational. It was later determined that is was user error. I installed the lock with no problem as I was replacing an existing deadbolt. When I began setting it up with the app and adding it to HomeKit, I didnt realize that I had scanned the wrong HomeKit code. The code I scanned was for the module and not the lock itself. It was a simple mistake that cost me about 30 minutes to resolve. So for clarity, when you start to add the lock to HomeKit, make sure you scan the code on the lock and not the module that comes in a separate box.
Once I got that issue resolved, everything worked as advertised. The lock is added to my main screen in HomeKit and it alerts me when the door is opened and closed and can be set for a variety of notifications. This lock was added to my back door off of my deck. My kids (and my wife) have a tendency to leave it unlocked when they come from outside so now I am alerted by the app that it hasnt been locked.
What i've done is create a shortcut in my iPhone to perform a bunch of tasks each night. I simply say Hey Siri and the phrase I programmed and it locks the door, closes the garage and turns on several lights throughout the home. Couldnt be easier. I'm going to pick up another one of these for our AirBNB so that I can send the lock code to the renter and I program it for the duration of their stay. Once their rental time has expired, the code no longer works.
I am very pleased with the overall performance of this lock and have been very happy with it. I definitely recommend this.

The brightness is adjustable. It can give off light equivalent to a standard 60 watt bulb (default) but with the app, you can make the light brighter. If I remember correctly, its about 2400 lumens. For example, a 60 watt bulb is about 750-850 lumens.

When I call someone they cannot hear me on the other end how do I fix this
I had that problem too initially, but I took the phone out and re-installed the phone into the case paying careful attention to making sure that the volume/vibrate button was installed correctly in the slot. Once i did that, the mic must have lined up the way it was supposed to and I havent had any problems since. Hope that helps.
