I was pleasantly surprised by this air fryer/oven. I already owned a standalone air fryer that I sat next to my toaster oven, but it is no longer needed thanks to Oster. I prefer the taste and crispness when air frying with the Oster versus my standalone. I tested it out with frozen chicken fries and French fries and it did a fantastic job. With regards to the other oven features, it did what it was supposed to. I had no issue with toast, crescent rolls, frozen Salisbury steak, etc. Overall, it is easy to use. Three nobs control all settings. When I bought my previous countertop oven, I thought it was cool that there were so many buttons/knobs/options. However, I now realize that more is not always better and just going with a simplistic setup is good enough for most people. As far as the looks of the Oster, I find it appealing and fits well with if you own other stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. I recommend this to anyone in the market for both an air fryer and oven and want to condense space on their countertops.

Meet Pixel 4a, the helpful Google phone at a helpful price. It comes packed with all the things you want in a phone, for a lot less than you’d expect.

The Pixel 4a has some high-end features with a price well below the average midrange phone. However, there are a few things that I dislike.
First, the highlights:
CAMERA- The Pixel cameras are always known for being among the best camera phones, if not the best. It is great that you get this type of camera quality at this price point. I did many comparisons with my flagship phone and I can easily notice the difference. The Pixel takes great photos. If you are into the stars, I was able to capture some amazing shots with the ‘Nightsight with Astrophotography’ feature.
SYSTEM UPDATES- Since Google owns Android, the Pixel should always be the first to get new updates and security patches for at least up to 3 years on the 4a.
GOOGLE ASSISTANT- it has been updated with new features such as call screening to attempt to eliminate spam calls, a recorder, and live captioning.
REAR FINGERPRINT- I love that they included this. I always preferred it over the under-screen fingerprint reader. Plus, it has the slide down feature so you can move your finger in a downward motion on the back sensor to bring down your options/notifications menu.

There are some lowlights, but it could just be a personal preference that may not reflect your feelings:

LACK OF QUICK ACCESS- A few features that I always used on a previous phone were not found here. There is no option to double-tap to wake or sleep the phone. I always use this feature on a competitive phone so that I do not wear out the physical button. Also, I am not able to use a gesture to turn on the flashlight when the phone is locked. I realize you can download alternative launchers, but my review is for the main software include with the phone.
NO FACE UNLOCK- Sometimes, you lay the phone on a table and want to unlock it without having to turn it over to use the fingerprint sensor. It isn’t a big deal, but it would be nice to do a quick tap of the screen and let the front camera scan your face to unlock without picking up the phone.

I had always wanted one, but this is the first security camera system that I have had to monitor my home. The reason is that I did not want to go through the whole process of installing dedicated wiring/monitors to secure my surroundings. It has an easy setup by connecting the main base to an open port on your internet router. Then you simply link each camera and you are all set. The eufy cams are wireless and run on a battery that is stated to last a whole year without charging (based on 300 seconds of recording per day). The reason for the long battery life and a major difference between this cam and other 24/7 systems is that it will only record when there is movement in the field of view. It will kick on and record short clips when the mailman or package deliveries show up. Most of the time, it is in ‘stand by’ mode just waiting to record when necessary. There are many options to tweak in the app to set up how often and how much motion sensitivity you want based on your needs. It also has two-way audio, an alarm system to alert/scare, and an anti-theft alarm if the camera is moved or taken from the mount. The specs for my recorded clips were 2K resolution (2304x1296) with about 1.3MB/s and 15FPS, but I still felt it was not as crisp and clear as I was hoping. However, it is better than having no security system at all, so I cannot complain too much about that.
An example of how I customize the system:
I have a cam on the front porch and the other in the backyard. During the day and evening (6am-10pm), the front camera sends a push notification to me and my wife’s phone whenever there is human movement such as deliveries. The backyard camera has the push notifications turned off since there is a lot of activity with kids playing or gardening throughout they day that I don’t want to get constant alerts of movement popping up on my phone all the time. Overnight (10pm-6am), I set both cameras to record, send phone notifications, and sound an alarm through the camera speakers to scare anyone away.

After a few ‘tests’, this juicer did a good job of separating the pulp/seeds and providing a smooth and healthy drink. I also have a comparable juicer from a more expensive high-end brand, and side-by-side I could not tell the difference in the outcome of the juice quality. I am very satisfied with the Oster. It is easy to clean with the separate filter container to just dump out and wash. The extractor had no issue with various fruits and rough vegetables that I dropped into it. Two variable speeds help depending on the context of the items you are juicing at the time. I recommend this for everyone to have a healthier lifestyle.

This is basically a no-frills air fryer, but you will soon realize you don’t need all the bells and whistles. I tested it out a few times with my standard meal of frozen chicken tenders and French fries. It crisps and cooks evenly in 10 minutes without any oil needed. There isn’t much to say other than this is a good air fryer for a relatively low price. It is easy to clean and only uses up a small space on the counter. I recommend it.

An average printer but with great ink savings

This is my first time using a printer with a refillable ink tank versus replaceable cartridges. According to Canon, I should get 6000+ sheets with a single set of ink bottles. If that is true, and after seeing how low the cost is to get additional bottles, this is a great advantage over pre-filled cartridge printers that only get 500-800 sheets. Of course, the printer carries a high price just to offer the advantage of being able to print so many sheets in a single fill-up. I do find many of the features to be standard and comparable to sub-$100 printers. During wifi setup on my computer, I got an error saying it was not compatible with 5ghz routers and I found that to be odd. However, I am still able to print which is good. For phones, I had to download the Canon app to get the print setup and it worked pretty quick. I have seen others comment that the printer turns off after a period of inactivity, which can be annoying when you try to print something and realize it is not on. I had this issue but did a quick search through the manual and found a way to turn off this default feature within the settings menu on the printer. For the price of the printer, I am disappointed that the screen is just monochrome and isn’t even backlit. To add more disappointment, the screen is small and you sometimes have to wait for it to scroll a message across to know what is it trying to tell you. I have seen super cheap printers have bigger color touchscreens, so I am not sure why it was not included on the PIXMA.
With regards to printing photos, I found them to come out quite well for me. I want to point out that I don’t know if this is standard with other Canon printers, but photo paper is put into a different tray separate from the regular paper tray. I think the idea is to have both types of paper available at all times without having to swap them out of the same tray. The photos I printed came out with a lot more detail when I compared the exact same photos side-by-side to my other photo printer. The Canon PIXMA will be my new default photo printer from here on out.
Overall, this printer may be worth the cost when you factor in its high initial investment but low ink costs in the long-term. With a mix of positives and negatives and depending on your expected usage, this may be a great choice for some but a pass for others.

This is the perfect smoke/CO alarm for my basement. The installation was pretty simple (two screws in the ceiling) and the setup through the app worked great. The alarm will signal beeps and a voiceover telling me if it’s a fire or CO alert. The added perk is the ability to get alerts while away from home through the Onelink app. To be honest, without manually starting a fire or having a CO leak, I can only assume the product will do its job when needed. Until then, I put my trust into Onelink and think this is a great product.

This is my first experience with using a dash cam. As a part-time package delivery person, I realized it is important to document my driving to have proof of any incidents that may occur. I was overwhelmed at first since I never set up a dash cam before, but I eventually figured it out through the quick set-up guide and found an online manual from Cobra. At first, I used the cigarette lighter in my car but it kept the camera always running even after turning the car off. I soon switched to a USB port and now the camera only turns on when I get in the car and then turns off automatically when I get out. This is so convenient that it basically runs on its own and constantly records with no interaction needed. The footage can also be viewed/edited on a PC or put into the Drive HD video editor to monitor your whole driving path and other stats. I highly recommend this for peace of mind and safety while out on the road.

After a quick system setup, I immediately tested the popular Fortnite game to check out the graphics and framerate quality. Upon bootup of the game, it recommended the ‘epic’ settings based on PC performance. Right from the start, the framerate was very choppy and unplayable. I had to set it to ‘medium’ all-around just to keep the framerate operable. I was trying to figure out why an expensive gaming laptop was not able to handle Fortnite on ‘epic’. I soon realized that it was not plugged in and finally learned that a powerful gaming laptop needs the external power source to run intense games. Once plugged in, ‘epic’ worked and looked flawless to me. So keep this in mind that although it is a laptop to bring anywhere, you will need the power cord when gaming. I normally game on a desktop so I didn’t realize this is a known thing among hardcore laptop gamers.
The keyboard has a dedicated G performance key (f7) that should increase the cooling fan speed and enhance the system/graphics performance during gaming.
Onto some negative points, it is a heavy laptop that gets hot quickly and also the fan is quite noisy, which sometimes drowns out audio if not turned up enough. The solid-state drive is rated at 512GB, leaving you with 458GB to work with. This may fill up quickly for those that like to store a lot of games. I also am not a fan of the keyboard light turning off after about 7 seconds of inactivity. I would like if manufacturers allowed for an option to keep it on and to change it to something other than the single color (blue for G3).
Although I list quite a few negative aspects, I still think this is a solid gaming laptop. Some of the cons could be considered just nitpicking so they may not affect most users.

After using it for a few days, I am satisfied with the results. In reality, it is your basic microwave with the same features as most others. You really can’t go wrong with any microwave these days. However, this one has the ‘inverter’ tech that runs at full power the whole time and evenly distributes the cooking. My old microwave had issues with heating the center of frozen pancakes but this one had no issue. I am speaking for myself, but my main use of a microwave is to cook bagged popcorn. There are different settings based on the size of the bag you plan to cook. Before this review, I popped 3 bags and had no issue. One negative is the end beep volume when cooking is complete. I found it to be low, so when I was in another room I didn’t distinctly hear it finish. Other than that, it is a decent unit.

How long does the cobra dash cam hold the footage does it erase it over how can you look back a week to see the footage
I use a 32GB micro SD card and at the highest quality setting it recorded for about 2.5-3 hours with 10 minute intervals. After the card gets filled up, it will overwrite the oldest 10 minute clips.

Yes, you can use Chromecast. However, I have the Quest stream to my phone and then I have my phone streaming to my LG HDTV.

The sound comes from speakers built into the headset or you can plug in headphones also. The sound right out of the headset gives you virtual 360 sound, which is pretty cool.

How is this for watching regular video on youtube, Netflix, etc.?
It looks like you are a watching on a movie theater screen, but the quality is not 4K or anything near that. It is watchable though. Also YouTube VR videos are fun to watch.

This is a stand-alone VR. You do not need a PC, Xbox, PS4, etc to use it. It works all by itself.

How does this connect to the internet? Can I stream videos on it when I'm somewhere without a WiFi connection?
It connects through WIFI. You can't stream videos without an internet connection, unless the movie is already installed on the Quest.
