This is a highly capable gaming laptop with a lot of frills. Right off the bat, the packaging itself screams of high quality. I was never into unboxing, but this was a treat. When you open the box flap, the laptop angles upwards to present itself as if to welcome you with open arms (if it had arms). Upon turning it on for the first time, I was welcomed with a gamut of flashing colors on the keyboard as if to boast of the power about to be unleashed…not much different than a peacock bragging about their sprawled wings. Regarding the screen, I am very impressed with the array of bright colors that it emits. I will admit, I was a bit thrown off by the somewhat squared display as I am used to a widescreen style.
Onto the important aspect of any gaming setup…actual gaming abilities. My main game to go to is Call of Duty Warfare. I have no issue running the game as everything looks great and runs smooth. Some other games I have tried with no problem were Roblox and Rocket League. Also, I want to mention this is VR Ready. I personally use an Oculus Quest to play Rift games.
Overall, I have no complaints really. This is a great machine.

This is an exceptionally durable and compact laptop/tablet rolled into one. After playing around with it for a few days, I am satisfied with the speed and usability. The fingerprint reader is a great touch for quick and secure access when logging on. When flipping the screen back to go from laptop to tablet, I like the popup option that asks if you want to turn on ‘tablet mode’. There are times when you might not want it to be in ‘tablet mode’, depending on the task at hand. The screen and audio quality is pretty good for my needs. You may have trouble seeing it in bright daylight, along with a glare. Indoors, it is satisfactory and had everything looks crisp. The 2-1 does have a good battery life, topped off with a quick charger cable that took about 1 to 1.5 hours to fully charge.
Gaming ability:
Although it is not billed as a gaming computer, I was able to run Roblox and Rocket League with no issue. For Call of Duty Warfare fans, I attempted to get it up and running but have run into issues with freezing and DirectX crashing. You may need to find a balance between graphics quality and stability to get it working properly.

I am very impressed with the value of this keyboard. It is relatively inexpensive when you take into consideration the features and aesthetics provided. I didn’t have any issues with using this during long gaming sessions. Having the option of a detachable palm rest is a nice touch also. Once you install the ‘Swarm’ software from the ROCCAT website, you open a world of countless variations to both the lighting and the keypress sounds. There are numerous programmable lighting setups that you can use for particular games or just to use different variations throughout the day/night. Overall, I recommend this to anyone that wants to add some flare and customization to their gaming setup.

This is a very versatile juicer in a compact and space saving design. The key feature is the ability to switch from three different pulp filters. You can get an exceptionally fine ‘no pulp’ juice when you like a smooth drink or switch out the filter to allow some or a lot of pulp for other types of drinks. I own another centrifugal juicer and it only does ‘no pulp’. The ability to have one machine with levels of pulp control is very useful. The manual mentions to size down pieces to about 2 inches, so feeding the machine takes a bit of prep and time just to get a cup of juice. But the result is worth it. Cleaning the unit isn’t particularly hard but it took some time to get all the little pieces out of the unit. Overall, this is a good juicer if you like to control pulp output in compact design.

I didn’t think I would ever use a robot vacuum, but the SpinWave is a nice complement to a manual upright. Although it offers the double feature of a dry vacuum and moping abilities, I don’t feel it does either one perfectly. You can use the Bissell app to track your usage history and choose from 3 roller settings to adjust the pickup quality. However, every time I cleaned, I only used the ‘max’ setting and it still missed some crumbs here and there. I do like the ‘spin’ feature that will vacuum in small circles within about a 3 foot diameter. This comes in handy when the kids spill cereal or make a mess with chips. The mopping feature uses a combination of hot tap water and cleaning solution in a pull out canister. It is easy to swap between the two dry and wet canisters back and forth and the vacuum will automatically recognize it. In the mopping mode, it will dispense a moderate amount of solution but I wonder how much pressure it places onto the floor to get a deep clean. Best Buy sells different types of Bissell solutions and I decided on the ‘sanitize’ cleaner with hopes that will at least eliminate germs on the floors. Since the vacuum doesn’t map the rooms, you have to keep an eye on it to make sure it hits every location. It won’t end on its own and will keep going until you press the button twice to self-dock or end the cleaning using the app.
Overall, I like the idea that I can have the house vacuumed and mopped while I do other things. However, I think the best option is to manually vacuum so you can be sure not to miss any areas or run over spots that need the extra cleaning. Then, use the robot vacuum to do a thorough mopping to sanitize the hard floors. This may be a good item for someone that is unable to manually vacuum with an upright or if you feel you just want to sit on the couch while your floor gets cleaned with little effort.

In different aspects, I am both extremely satisfied and moderately disappointed with the Hover-1 Blackhawk. This is my first electric scooter and it didn’t take more than a few minutes to feel comfortable riding at top speeds. With that said, there are 3 speed modes – 6MPH, 9MPH, and 18MPH. With a slight grade downhill, I went about 22MPH. Uphill, for a 155lb rider, went a consistent 9MPH. The ride quality is fantastic and super smooth with the 10 inch pneumatic tires. Breaking was efficient also. The promotional video I found on the internet mentions 3 braking options- disc, electronic, and rear fender foot pressure. However, with regards to the electronic braking, there is no button or switch to activate it or to tell if it is even included in this model.
Apparently, it should be able to go 22-28 miles before needing a recharge. I don’t have a need to go that far but I did some distance/battery tests. On one particular ride, I went 35 minutes for 4.25 miles on hilly roads while switching back and forth between the 9MPH and 18MPH speed settings. The battery indicator initially shows 5 full bars when it is 100% charged. I only lost a half of one bar. One key advantage that this scooter has over some others in this price range is the ability to pop out the battery and put a fresh one in if you need to go farther than the 28 miles advertised. I assume you could buy extra batteries from the manufacturer. I do not know if Best Buy sells them as standalone.
One disappointing aspect is the lack of an anti-theft feature, especially with the initial cost of the scooter. I would be hesitant to leave it outside of a store without worrying that someone can just roll or drive it away. Either an access code to turn it on or some kind of wheel locking feature would have been nice. The manual also didn’t explain a few things that a new rider wouldn’t know. My scooter had KPH defaulted as the speed setting. I contacted Hover-1 but never got a response on how to switch it MPH. Finally, after some internet searching, I found out how to get further into the internal menu to change some settings. For reference: hold power and menu button at the same time for 3 seconds or so. Besides setting MPH/KPH, you can also change how the scooter starts the motor- either with an immediate throttle toggle or the safer option of a push/kick off to start. There is also a setting in the internal menu to set disengage max speed if you have younger riders.
Overall, as I stated, there are both positive and negative features of the Blackhawk. Happily, I feel there are way more positives and I love this scooter. It is a great ride.

I am pleasantly surprised by this grill. I have tried other tabletop electric grills, but the food never came out tasting like anything close to being cooked on an actual gas/fire grill. However, the PowerXL is as close as I have come to getting that grilled sensation. I have already cooked burgers, hot dogs, chicken and pork chops and all came out fully cooked and looked great.
There are a couple features I want to mention: The top feature is in its name…” smokeless”. There is a fan that needs to be on during each cooking session which sucks up all the smoke. This makes grilling inside the house a breeze. I cooked several different items and not once did I have any issue with smoke. Also, there is a temperature knob, but you can only adjust it in increments of 50 (250, 300, 350, etc). You may have to play around with it to get the best temperature for whatever you plan to cook. Another necessary feature is the ease of cleanup. There is a drip tray, an interior catch plate, and the grill top that all come out for cleaning with minimal mess.
Overall, I recommend this to anyone that loves to grill all year without having to bear the elements of nature.

First, just so there is no misunderstanding, this is not a standalone unit. It is a food processer attachment that you connect to your existing Vitamix Ascent base. For reference, I use the Vitamix Ascent 3500. Basically, it sits on your main blender unit in the same way the blending cup does. Just pop it on and it will self-detect that it is installed and ready to use. You would use this processer unit interchangeably with the main units’ cups, but you only use the single Vitamix base, saving counter space. This is a great accompaniment for anyone that likes to have versatility with their blender. I like that it comes with multiple blades so you can adjust easily depending on what you plan to process. Also, all of the parts compact easily into one piece for storage. This has been a wonder in our kitchen. A great addition to an already perfect Vitamix unit.

I have owned several high-end blenders within the past few years, but my new favorite is this Ascent 3500. I had been using the 2500, but the 3500 is a step up. I love the modern look and feel with the touch sensitive buttons. Yes, the Vitamix models are a lot more expensive than other brands on the market, but there is a reason for that. You just cannot get the same quality and finely blended meals with the others as you can with a Vitamix. In the end, it is definitely worth it. On top of the that, you get a 10-year warranty for peace of mind. In our household, our main use of the blender is to make baby food. We like to make smooth, yet plump, apple mixes and squash mixes for our baby. Instead of buying processed baby foods from the store, we felt it was healthier to buy our own ingredients and mix it at home. With regards to smoothies, they come out so fine and clean with no signs of any chunks. My favorite feature of the 3500 is the ability to use Bluetooth to connect to the Vitamix app. There is a large collection of recipes on the app and extra features to finely tune blending sessions beyond what is on the face of the blender. There are quite a few different presets on the app that will send the commands to the blender via Bluetooth. For example, there is a ‘baby food’ option on the app that we use. Once selected, the blender will mix accordingly without having to manually adjust any time or speed. Overall, you just can’t get any better than a Vitamix and the 3500 is a great chef-quality unit.

This is a great alternative to a basic bedside clock, especially if you have varied wake-up schedules throughout the week. It is so easy to set alarms by using the ‘hey google’ feature. Beyond that, it is a full featured Google voice assistant. For anyone familiar with Google, you can play music, set home temps and adjust lights if you have other google related items throughout your house, etc. Beyond that, lets get to the actual clock features. The LED lights are nice and bright, yet do not hinder your night viewing or distract you while you try to sleep. These can also be adjusted to different levels if you prefer it dim or bright. There is a nightlight feature that lights up a ring behind the clock and the brightness can be adjusted also. Extra features include a USB port so I can charge my phone overnight. Overall, I am satisfied with this clock thanks to the extra functionality of the ‘Hey Google’ feature built in.

I have tile and carpet throughout home. Will it mop tile then switch to vacuum carpet? Or do I have to tell it what to do? .
It has two swappable canisters. One to dry vac the whole home. The other to mop only the hard floors. It will self-detect when to avoid carpets.

Yes, you can use Chromecast. However, I have the Quest stream to my phone and then I have my phone streaming to my LG HDTV.

Does this come with a headset for the sound affects or do you have to buy it separately?
The sound comes from speakers built into the headset or you can plug in headphones also. The sound right out of the headset gives you virtual 360 sound, which is pretty cool.

How is this for watching regular video on youtube, Netflix, etc.?
It looks like you are a watching on a movie theater screen, but the quality is not 4K or anything near that. It is watchable though. Also YouTube VR videos are fun to watch.

This is a stand-alone VR. You do not need a PC, Xbox, PS4, etc to use it. It works all by itself.

It connects through WIFI. You can't stream videos without an internet connection, unless the movie is already installed on the Quest.
