Best Design/Sound/Performance For Running & Gym

My weekly routine is running a 5K early in the mornings on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. On Sunday a 10K run. I am at the gym early on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and after work on Mondays. Take Saturday off – WooHoo! There are the four important pieces of equipment on my weekday runs: Good Running Shoes, Full Water Bottle, Charged Phone, and Quality EarBuds. And, working out in the gym I want to hear the music live and motivating to excite me. So, when I had an opportunity to review a pair of complimentary Plantronics BackBeat Fit 3100 True Wireless Sport Earbuds, I did not hesitate.
After two weeks of daily use here is what I love about these earbuds:
* Sound – This is why we buy quality earbuds in the first place. The BackBeat Fit 3100 produces incredible, true-stereo, channel separation. No matter what genre of music playing I can hear all of the subtle background nuances even though these earbuds are not noise-canceling. The clarity and depth of audio is impressive especially while jogging and bouncing up and down over rough terrain. Although the sound frequencies are targeted to the mid-ranges, the bass is rich, deep, and robust. Love it.
* Fit – The over-the-ear and behind-the-ear clips design keeps these earbuds firmly attached to my ears. The clips are silicon-coated and there are no connecting wires to either earbud. Great! Coupled with the, appears-to-be, rubberized ear tips, I can run and do rigorous workouts all the while these earbuds stay securely and comfortably in both of my ears. They are lightweight and the tips are ergonomically designed. They fit firmly but, still allow nearby noises to make me aware of my surrounding conditions.
* IPX57 Rating – Sweatproof and Waterproof. YooHoo! About a week and a half ago I was caught running in a sudden, 'Frog-Drowning' kind of rainstorm. It only lasted several minutes, but enough to thoroughly soak me from head to toe. Fortunately, I carry my cell in a plastic sealed bag. However, even though these BackBeat Earbuds are waterproof – they stopped working for approximately five minutes. They resumed working again near the end of my run. I found out later that Bluetooth devices are negatively affected by being immersed in, and or, under water. Be aware that these earbuds are waterproof, but you can't saturate them in water, or, swim in them and expect any Bluetooth reception 'till that wet environment changes.
* Personal Customization – The BackBeat Fit 3100 App (PLT BBFIT3100) assists in BT pairing, shows battery usage, and allows me to toggle to other playlists (Spotify or Apple). This App can be downloaded from the IOS App Store or Google Play Store. You are not just limited to those two services. I use Pandora and I-Heart radio also. However, the most important feature to me is that two taps (I configured two, but could also do one) starts a 'Stopwatch' to display the starting and ending times of each of my particular runs. How cool is that? I always try to go under previous times by one or two seconds – this feature allows me to monitor that goal. I can configure one, and, or, two taps to Siri, my personal, Hands-Free Assistant, Battery Status, Timer, Real Time, StopWatch, Playlists, or Mute.
* Hands-Free Phone Calls – I can use Siri (Google Assistant can also be utilized) to make or answer any calls while I am running or working out. Two way phone calls are clear and sharp without any interference.
* Long Usage Time – The specifications state that I can get up to five hours of 'talk-time'. However, I have received approximately four and one half hours of 'listening-time' at best. But, that is more then adequate for any of my daily runs or workouts.
* Protective Charging & Storage Case – The included charging case not only protects my earbuds while traveling, but also charges them up to ten additional hours. A full charge of both the earbuds and case can give me up to fifteen hours of usage. Great for when I am 'on-the-road'. The case also includes the shortest USB to micro-USB cable I have ever seen, approximately three and one half inches long, but it does the job of re-charging.
* Volume Controls – I chose the 'Taps' feature over 'Volume' so I can start a 'Stopwatch' to time my runs. Fantastic feature for any serious runners. However, the maximum or minimum volume setting of your phone then determines the volume level heard in my earbuds.
* Voice Activated Status – When BT Pairing is Connected, Low Battery, Fully Charged, etc. an internal voice will inform you.accordingly.
* Easily Cleanable – I use an alcohol-free, hypoallergenic, and anti-bacterial wipe after each and every use. Mild soap and water will do the same. . . . .
I thoroughly enjoy using these earbuds almost every day. They fit snug, but are still comfortable in my ears. The delivered sound over several Internet Music Services is fantastic. I highly recommend these Plantronic BackBeat Fit 3100 True Wireless Sport Earbuds. If you are serious about running, physical workout individual, or, home gym enthusiast – these earbuds are definitely for you. Buy them, you won't be disappointed.

Efficient & Awesome, Time-Saving Multi-Cooker

After two weeks of cooking various kinds of meals in this Ninja Foodi, I'll start my review of this astonishing cooking appliance by going right to the 'Bottom Line', first:
Why Should You Buy The Ninja Foodi TenderCrisp 6.5-Quart Pressure Cooker?
** Valuable Time Saver – You can cook an entire meal for four or more in approximately 30 minutes using food stuffs right out of your refrigerator or freezer. One pot meals to include veggies and meats. Pressure Cooking is 70% faster then conventional stove-top cooking.
** Saves Money – As everyone knows, cooking with a pressure cooker is not only fast, but super-tenderizes your meat varieties. This Ninja Foodi allows you to save money by using less expensive cuts of meat. As a bonus it turned me into a Gourmet Chef serving delicious and tender cuts of meats using a minimum amount of meal preparation and spices. WooHoo!
** Awesome Combination of Cooking Functions - Pressure Cooking, Steam, Slow Cook, and, or Searing / Saute gives you phenomenal cooking options. Issues Of The Ninja Foodi You Should Be Aware While Considering Your Purchase.
** Ninja Foodi Takes A Large Amount Of Counter Space – After two week of regular use I have determined to keep this Ninja on my counter top even though it takes up a lots of space. The trade-off for me is well worth it, since I plan to use this appliance regularly. It is going to occupy the space my mixer was in previously because we don't use the mixer as much. Since the Crisper Lid is permanently attached I close it when storing it on my counter. That leaves the pressure cooker lid and crisper basket needing additional cabinet storage too.
** Ninja Foodi Is Portable But Heavy – I am storing my unit on my counter top, however I cook with it on my stove top, and, or near my range hood for proper steam and heat venting purposes. For most of the Ninja's cooking functions heat is vented out the back of the unit. Depending on what cooking temperature you choose the escaping heat out of the vents can be quite hot – another reason to locate near or under my range hood. Some recopies call for immediate release of steam venting after pressure cooking. This can be safely done under my range hood while the fan is 'ON'. Although the Ninja is portable be aware it weighs approximately 25 pounds empty. Folks with limited physical abilities may have difficulties moving this unit around in their kitchen.
For me none of the above mentioned issues are a deal-breaker. However, I am obligated to bring them forward as part of my comprehensive review for your purchase consideration.

Over the past two weeks I have cooked a whole chicken twice, frozen french fries right out of my freezer, green beans and carrots, broccoli, red potatoes, ribs and pork chops using the pressure cooker function, then, finishing with the Air-Crisper – YUM! A little garlic, seasoned salt, paprika, thyme, and parsley and I turn into a Gourmet, Ninja Kitchen Magician. You can follow your own favorite recopies, or, follow the 45 plus, included in the Ninja Foodi Recopies Book. A little TIP about seasonings – less is better since the pressure cooker infuses your added seasonings under pressure from the liquid you add to the cooker. Another TIP – try substituting beef, chicken, or vegetable broth instead of water – it brings out delicious flavors when pressure cooking, steaming, or air-crisping vegetables.
I highly recommend this Ninja Foodi TenderCrisp 6.5-Quart Pressure Cooker as probably the most versatile and complete kitchen appliance you could ever purchase. Love it! Yes, its bulky and takes up space, but the gastronomical and healthy meals you can quickly prepare for your family with this baby far outweigh those issues. I would give it more stars if I could, but 5 is the maximum. This Ninja Foodi would make a fantastic gift for newly weds, working couples, who have little time for food prep and cooking, and for that special family member or friend. This is the gift that keeps on giving. . . .

Enjoy Local OTA & Stream Popular Internet TV

After two weeks of enjoying this Insignia LED Smart 4K UHD TV with HDR – Fire TV Edition, I am convinced this is primarily designed for the ever-increasing abundance of 'cord-cutters', who still have a generous-data Internet connection. This particular TV offers outstanding local OTA TV in 1080-I and 4K UHD with numerous Internet content found mostly only on 'streaming-devices', which require additional hardware costs. Amazon's Fire TV has cleverly combined these operations for you.
For its price-point this Insignia TV has loads of features, which are usually found on much more expensive units. As a long-time cable-cutter I particularly enjoyed the enhanced TV channel guide. This on-board guide gives you pictorial graphics of the TV shows available, presents an informative narrative of that specific presentation, and allows you to move forward in time to see the future available entertainment offerings, too. The built-in AI (artificial intelligence) assembles my most frequented local channels, at the time, and displays them in sequence when I access the channel guide. A fascinating feature is the ability to rewind, stop, and, or, fast forward your live TV, or streaming by ten seconds either way . . . . Love it.
From a 'Smart-TV' standpoint I have been able to access my e-mail account, search the Internet using the 'Silk' Browser, You-Tube, ESPN, and various other popular Internet sites. I can also access my on-line banking, however, my concern is what virus protection does Insignia or Silk, or FireFox Browsers offer?
I do not know of any other TV Internet operation that allows the user to access both Netflix and Hulu on the same platform. Plus, the Wi-Fi connection to your router can be 5.0 GHz or 2.0 GHz, which ever you choose to configure it that way. How cool is that?
What I Like About Insignia LED Smart 4K UHD TV with HDR – Fire TV Edition:
** Simple Remote – Very Intuitive with Voice Actuation. You need an Amazon account to fully take advantage of the myriad features, but you can simply enable the voice command and tell the remote what you want to do. It also allows you to stop live TV or videos and move them forward or backwards. It will sync with Amazon's Alexa or Echo, if you have one in the same room to find whatever your heart desires.
** HD Picture Quality - 4K Ultra HD picture quality with over 8 million pixels for stunning clarity, deep contrast and vivid colors. For its price-point the picture quality is amazing.
** Realistic Sound – Most TV's this size have chinnsy sounding speakers – this TV delivers a full DTS TruSurround and Dolby audio at 8 watts each speaker – they are very good, especially, if you adjust the Sound Settings to 'Standard', Bass at Level 16, and Treble at 8 - turn the main volume control to a moderate level (no higher then 18) to avoid distortion. My TV shows, movie, video sounds, and Spotify, Pandora, etc., produce full, rich, mid-range frequencies with clear voice. You can also add a sound bar or other external speakers through the HDMI-ARC port, which gives you the option to enable or disable the TV speakers.
** Acceleration and Operation - Quad-core CPU/Multi-core GPU – Very responsive to OTA and Pay TV Services, Downloaded Apps, and or Web Browser Bookmarks. Internet browsing is surprisingly fast.
** 3 HDMI Inputs – For your home theater connections to Blue Ray Video Players, TV Sound Bar Systems, Gaming Console, Satellite Receivers, Cable Box, or other electronic devices.
** One USB Input – I connected a compatible keyboard to my Fire TV for enhanced navigation through all of the various entertainment options, and, it also allows me to send e-mails quickly. I can also connect my digital camera to display selected photos to share with my friends and family.
** Web Browsers – Amazon Silk or Firefox. You can use both and bookmark your favorite websites, and, or download additional Apps to the numerous featured Apps. You can always remove or delete featured, and, or downloaded Apps at any time.

If you are not experienced with Amazon's Fire TV platform you will be pleased that the learning curve is very minimal and simple. Another plus is that software updates are automatic so the software on your TV and remote is always the latest. WooHoo! I highly recommend the purchase of this Insignia LED Smart 4K UHD TV with HDR – Fire TV Edition. It is truly both an entertainment hub and Smart TV with loads of features and Apps. Christmas is just around the corner – this Insignia Fire TV would make a great gift for that special family member or friend. You will not be disappointed.

Designed & Built for Indoor / Outdoor FUN

Eagerly looked forward in receiving this complimentary LG PK7 Portable Bluetooth Speaker w/ Meridian Audio & Dual Tweeters. I was anxious to hear the sound quality streamed through the aptX HD chipset on this wireless, portable speaker. Earlier I had read about this audio technology, aptX HD, which is a compression codec. It brings 24 bit high resolution audio to wireless music. AptX HD has gained much popularity and is being installed in most new devices because it allows CD quality sound to be transmitted over Bluetooth. WooHoo! However, you must have a phone or portable device, which has the aptX HD chipset installed to take advantage of this superior sound. Check the specs on the model of your phone. There are many phones and other devices out there that support aptX HD. If aptX HD is not installed in your phone - you won't be able to experience the higher resolution sound because there is no software upgrade option without the chipset. At present only Android devices, which use Oreo (8.0 or 8.1) OS system, support aptX HD. IOS phones do not support aptX HD, they use ACC as their optional BT codec. This LG PK7 speaker is also ACC enabled, too. Controversially, many audiophiles and knowledgeable reviewers claim there is not any appreciable difference between the two. I am not any kind of expert on this controversy. However, my ears lead me to believe the aptX HD is the higher resolution sound streaming codec.
For almost three weeks now we have been enjoying this wireless LG PK7 portable speaker both indoors and outdoors too. When our Grand Kids come over to visit this speaker gets a 'workout'. Thankfully, it has a generous battery capacity (up up 22 hours). Even with the party-lights pulsating we only have to charge this speaker every other day. My wife and I use the multi-phone pairing feature of this LG PK7 speaker. When I am outside with the kids I use my I-Phone to stream Kids' music through Pandora. My wife has a new Samsung S9+, which has the aptX HD codec. When we are indoors after the Kids are gone, she streams 'Easy Listening' music through her phone and the difference between hers and mine is noticeably, pronounced. I consider myself to be an audiophile dating way back from the late 50's. I began building stereophonic sets for family and friends in the 50's – learned to love, the quality reproduction, amplification, and delivery of outstanding music using the latest technology and the best, top-quality components available. Still love it. Plugged this LG PK7 in my amp-receiver with a 3.5 mm jack to see if I could further enhance the sound quality over the four EQ presets featured in this speaker. WoW! With 18 frequency bands in my EQ I wound up 'cutting' just the highs the first time, so the mix appeared to have more low end. For bass-lovers this is more pleasing to the ear then increasing the energy in the lower frequencies ranges. . . I could go on and on, but the point is that the quality-built Dual Passive Radiators and Dual Tweeters lend themselves for various frequency band adjustments so that you can clearly discern between guitars, keyboards, kick-drum and vocals.
The Meridian Audio tech enhances the use of this portable speakers for outdoor use – just what the Grand Kids like. It broadens the vertical and horizontal sound delivery, with the appropriate volume, which is ideal for outdoor environments. Around the patio, pool, or over 50 feet from the swings the reverberating bass coupled with the clear voice enhancements produces crisp, expanded audio, which targets the mid-ranges. Speaking of use near the pool – this LG PK7 is IPX5 weather and splash resistant from all angles.
Here are the Features I love:
* LG PK7 is Solidly Built – It is ideal for teenagers, younger family members and, or friends to 'party' in outdoor environments, wet, or dry (IPX5 weather rated).
* Long Life Battery – Up to 22 hours of use (without the lights). I get about 10 hours of continuous use with the lights enabled.
* Amazing Sound – Using any combination of the four EQ presets coupled with the Meridian Audio Technology delivers impressive bass and clarity. Great separation and depth. For most musical genres this speaker delivers outstanding mid-range quality.
* Simple Controls – Even Grandpa, Grandma, and the Grand Kids can operate this speaker.

Summary:
I love the various features of this LG PK7 Wireless, Portable Speaker. The streaming sound is awesome for a speaker this size and price-point, especially, when you are able to utilize aptX HD from your device. I highly recommend this LG PK7 Portable Bluetooth Speaker w/ Meridian Audio & Dual Tweeters. My Grand Kids love it, and, Grandma loves to play it in her kitchen while preparing gastronomical feasts. How cool is that? This speaker would make a great gift for a teenager, family member or friend, who is 'active' outdoors, and, or appreciates distinctive sound quality over many music genres.

Great For Home-Office Use & Entertainment

Was anxious to receive this complimentary Jabra 65 Wireless Headset for my home/office setup because it was promoted and designed so I could comfortably use this headset all day long. And, after over two weeks of constant use I wholeheartedly agree. This headset only weighs 3.84 oz, and has comfortable ear pieces with ultra-soft foam centers. Of course, they are adjustable and come with a handy zippered, carrying pouch, which is great for me to take on the 'road'. The carrying pouch includes a Jabra USB Cable, Jabra Link 370 USB Dongler, and Quick Start Guide. I went on-line to Jabra's website and downloaded the support manual for even more detail.
Features I Love About The Jabra Evolve 65:
* Impressive Sound Quality – For music it is designed for the mid-ranges, and delivers crystal clear, crisp voice sound. However, it does not have any adjustable user, Equalizer, settings.
* Lightweight and Comfortable – For over two weeks I have worn these daily for 6 to 8 hours. They are on-ear headphones as compared to over-ear. They are not noise-canceling.
* Easy Operable Controls – Simple controls, very intuitive, and easy to learn. Features I Wish It Had:
* Auxiliary 3.5mm Jack – It would be nice to connect this Jabra 65 to my Surround Sound Receiver. I could then play my oldie-goldie record collection and take advantage of the equalizer settings to enhance the sound of these headphones. Just a wish.
* Washable Ear Cups – No mention of any kind of cleaning process and/or sanitation procedures by Jabra.

I highly recommend these Jabra Evolve 65 headsets If you work in an office environment, or home/office setting like I do – these are the headphones for you. If you just want headphones for entertainment only, look elsewhere. Even if you don't work in an office kind of venue, but make and receive dozens of phone calls – this is the headphone set you need. I introduced my neighbor, who is in medical equipment sales and makes numerous calls a day, to these Jabra Evolve 65 Headphones, and she recently bought a set at Best Buy. They are inexpensive and you won't be disappointed.

Enjoy crisp, colorful picture quality with this Full HD HP monitor. The ultrathin bezel on the 27-inch screen provides an expansive viewing area so you can stay productive, and its AMD FreeSync technology reduces input lag and screen tearing. Outstanding Monitor for Home / Office Set-Up

I was excited to receive this complimentary HP – 27f27 Inch IPS LED FreeSync Monitor In exchange for an honest review. It was replacing my older 20 inch monitor. Out of the shipping box I had the stand assembled, plugged in to my surge protection strip, HDMI cable connected, and running in less then 15 minutes. This monitor is simple to install. I only needed a flat-blade screwdriver to assemble the stand and set-up in my home office.
First Impressions:
* The stand is solidly built, tilts top forward, and, or, top backwards for more personalized viewing angles. However, it does not move side to side or rotate.
* The monitor is ultra thin and has a small bezel framing the top and both sides to provide maximum viewing area.
* 2 HDMI and VGA inputs.
* The monitor screen is finished in matte black, which provides great anti-glare protection. This is an important feature for me because of the overhead lighting in my home office.
* Security cable slot, which is ideal for office working environments to prevent theft.
* There are five buttons located on the far right-hand bottom of the monitor:
- The first button, farthest to the right, turns the monitor ON/OFF. An LED facing the front indicates the status of the unit. White LED indicates ON. Amber LED indicates no signal.
- The next four buttons control the On Screen Display (OSD) settings.
- The first button activates the Main Menu/OK functions. You can select the settings for Brightness, Contrast, Color, Input, Power, Management, Language, and Information about the monitor.
- The next two buttons move your selection up or down with indicating arrows.
- The fourth OSD button allows you to select various Viewing Modes – Low Blue Light, Night, HP Enhanced+, Gaming-FreeSync, Movie, Photo, and Custom.

* The monitor screen is wide enough so that I can work on two pages of documents at the very same time. WooHoo!
* Colors are dynamic, rich, and vibrant. When I use HD Videos the colors are very accurate.
* Black matte finish on the monitor screen is so important to me because of my home office lighting and abundant sun light from a nearby window. No eye strain. Great!
* Easy to operate OSD controls to adjust brightness and viewing modes for that particular display you are using. It was an unbelievable difference when I adjusted from Custom, the setting I mostly use, to Photo, to work on editing some recent photos I took.
* No 'cheesy', on-board speakers to deal with, which most monitors are infamous for. Have my own upgraded sound system through my computer because I got tired of the 'tinny' sounding monitor speakers.
* This HP 27f27 only uses 27 watts of power. Low energy cost saves me money. YooHoo!
* The IPS viewing angles allow me to move around in my home office (within reasonable limits) and still read the display without distortion.
* Am so impressed with this monitor am thinking of purchasing another since my computer has two video cards and supports two monitors. I can always use the other just for my laptop.
* Easy to clean monitor screen. Wipe with a dry anti static cloth or a 50/50 mix of water and isopropyl alcohol as recommended by the manufacturer.
* Energy Saving Feature – By default in the reduced power mode the screen will go blank and the ON/OFF LED will glow amber when no signal is detected. However, you can adjust the predetermined time the screen goes blank and reduced power mode is activated.
* One Year Warranty. You can register this monitor on-line at the HP website.

I highly recommend the purchase of this HP 27f27 for your own use, a back-to-school-student, or any family member or friend, who needs an all-around monitor with excellent quality. At its price-point it offers a lot of value for what you purchase.

Full Featured Printer For Home / Office Set-Up

The Brother MFC-L3770CDW Wireless Color All-In-One Printer is my multi-functional, home office, productivity assistant. Since I generate approximately 1,500 printed pages of construction, inspection reports a month I looked forward to setting this printer up and running it through my paces. What excited me the most was the two-sided printing feature, which would cut my printed reports in half. The two-sided printing not only reduces my paper use, but is easier for the viewer to read. My reports, which are read by architects, engineers, and building owners are much more condensed and professional looking now . WooHoo!
Out of the box this printer weighs approximately 54 pounds and is on the heavy side to lift and move. So, be sure to have some help if needed. Although the printer is hefty it does not take a large footprint for installation. The dimensions are approximately 16 inches wide by 16 inches high and 20 inches deep. It fit perfectly in the location of my old printer. It took me approximately one and a half hours to unpack and hook up the printer. The Quick Setup Guide was most helpful in getting the printer unpacked and running. This Brother printer includes a Quick Setup Guide, CD-ROM Installer with Drivers and Software, Power Cord, telephone line cord for FAX connection, and starter set of 4 Toners with Drum Unit Set. Once the AC power was 'ON' I used the LCD touchscreen at the front and top of the printer to connect to my Wi-Fi network. I activated the CD-ROM, Installer for Drivers and Utilities, on my computer, which 'found' the unit and I made it my default printer. I was then ready to print.
Over the past two weeks of daily use I have grown to love this printer. It is easy to operate and produces laser-sharp printed documents in color, and, or black print. I registered my printer at the Brother Support website and also downloaded the Online Users Guide, which is more comprehensive in detail to include drawings and illustrations. It is very helpful and convenient to to look up the myriad of feature settings and operations. I am not going to list all of the features and specifications of this Brother MFC-L3770CDW, but I will list the ones I think set this printer above all the rest. You can see all the features and specs at the Best Buy product website.

* Two-Sided Printing. You can activate this setting in 'Printer Properties' when you are actually ready to print out a document. You can select either automatic or manual printing.

It has a Tool icon, which allows me to set the brightness of the LCD touchscreen, general settings for FAX Scan, Copy, or Print. When I am out of town on inspections I can remotely print out all of my notes and observations to my home office printer for later review. YooHoo! No TV Antennas – Antop is My Indoor Solution
Living in a planned community certainly has its fair share of good and not-so-good restrictions. In my development outdoor TV antennas of any kind are not permitted anywhere on the exterior of your house or property. This HOA (Home Owners Association) actively enforces this covenant. So, cutting-the-cord has been a little more difficult for me under these circumstances. But, where there is a will, there is a 'way'.
I have three TVs in my home. Two are wired through a splitter from an amplified OTA, attic-mounted antenna, which gives me twenty TV channels. However, my master bedroom does not share that same space as where my attic antenna is located, and, I can't get a cable to it. So, I have been using various kinds of rabbit ears in my bedroom to get any kind of TV reception. Out of the twenty OTA channels available in my area I have only been able to receive nine in my bedroom. And, I had to constantly move my indoor antenna around and, or, position it until I got the best TV reception for that particular channel. Basically, I had to get up and move the antenna around every time I changed channels. YUK! So, when an opportunity to receive a complimentary Antop AT-400 HDTV Multi-Directional Digital Antenna was available in exchange for an honest review I got excited.
The Antop AT-400 is ready to install right out of the box, especially if you set it up indoors like I did, adjacent to my bedroom TV. It took me less then five minutes to install the indoor stand, hook-up, and another five to run a new channel scan. Wow, I was impressed. I received all twenty OTA channels with the Antop antenna just sitting on the top of my dresser, which is approximately forty inches above the floor. And, I don't have to jump up and turn the antenna every time I change the channels. How cool is that? Unlike my unsightly and ugly looking rabbit ears, the Antop is housed in a flat, cream colored, stylish-looking, ABS plastic panel, and, doesn't even look like a TV antenna. It blends in perfectly with the color of my bedroom furniture. WooHoo! After this unexpected success I can't stop wondering how many channels I could get if I was permitted to mount this Antop antenna outside on a pole, twenty-five or thirty feet in the air? Oh well, grateful for what I receive now, and the fact, that I can 'retreat' to my bedroom in the Fall and watch lotsa' football games. YooHoo!

I am not going to go into all the various specifications of this antenna, they are available on the Best Buy website. But, I do want to point out that my Antop indoor TV reception is exceptionally clear and displays as 1080 I on the stations, that broadcast in1080 I. I discovered in the Owners' Manual that this antenna has a 4G LTE Filter, which actually blocks out 3G and 4G signals from various wireless devices. The digital technology engineered into this Antop AT-400 HDTV Antenna is state-of-the-art. I absolutely love this antenna, especially after spending hundreds of dollars over the years on lessor quality antennas just to get TV in my bedroom. I highly recommend this unit for indoor use. I am purchasing one for my Grandson, who has the same TV reception problem. I can just imagine what you can get IF it is mounted outdoors.

Belkin Cable - My Headphones & Auxiliary Speakers

Belkin Lightning to 3.5 mm Audio Cable has lots of uses around my house:
** Headphones - My wife prefers to connect her headphones with this Belkin cable instead of Bluetooth. She says it is much more reliable and interference-free.
** Auxiliary Speaker In Car - I found that my Grand kids love it when we take an auxiliary speaker along in the car so they can play their own choice of kids' music through Pandora from my I-Phone. That frees up my car radio / CD player so I can enjoy listening to my CDs using my ear buds BT paired to the radio / CD player.
** Auxiliary Speaker Outside - Additionally, when I take the kids to a playground, or, they come over to Grandma and Grandpa's to play we connect an auxiliary speaker (non-BT) with this Belkin cable. They can continue enjoying their kids' music outside while on the swings, or other playtime-activities. Great!
** I-Pad – This Belkin Audio Cable now permits me to connect my I-Pad directly to my car's radio / speaker system through an audio port and enjoy my stored music on trips without using a BT connection. Of course, I can also connect my I-Phone the very same way. WooHoo!
It is interesting to note that I connect my I-Phone SE without any issues, whatsoever. The SE is not specifically listed by Belkin, but it certainly is a compatible phone (IOS 11.4.1).
I think the Belkin folks scored a hit with this Lightning to 3.5 mm Audio Cable. Obviously, it allows any Apple devices, that have a Lightning Connection, to connect to any other device that has a 3.5 mm audio port. And on top of that the Belkin audio cable has MFi Certification, which future-proofs it for upcoming IOS upgrades. I highly recommend the purchase of this Belkin audio cable. It comes in so handy, I wonder how I went this long without one.

Powerful Home & Office Laptop - Portable Desktop

As I removed this laptop from its box, I knew this was something extraordinary. Its sleek, thin, aluminum body on top, matching lightweight, hard, plastic bottom, and wide frame both looked and felt special in my hands. I couldn't wait to open this baby up, charge it, and explore all of its features. So, I set it down on my bedroom desk and plugged the power supply into my surge protected electrical strip for approximately two hours. As I opened up the laptop to check the amount of battery charge I noticed that the back of the screen frame had two hinges, which actually elevates the keyboard as it is opened. How cool is that? So, no more flat keyboard stressing my hands and wrists. The keyboard front face with track pad is also made of aluminum. I didn't use a protractor, so I am guessing the increase in keyboard angle is approximately 15 degrees. After two weeks of typing and editing my field, construction inspections and other documents, I absolutely love this elevated keyboard feature. WooHoo!
I need a computer for my Home-Office use. Because of its sheer size, features, and power, this generously sized laptop makes a fantastic replacement for my home desktop system, which is not portable. Although the weight of this HP Envy laptop is just under 6.5 pounds, which is really lightweight, it is so wide that it gave me the impression it was much heavier. Not so. However, I must mention that the size and weight make it more of a portable 'desk-laptop' unit then traditional laptop. I can't take my desktop with me to an overnight motel stay when my job calls for inspections out of town. However, this baby can go where ever I need to go, and allows me to work on my reports that very same day, saving me valuable time to spend with my family instead. YooHoo!
After several weeks of use these are the OUTSTANDING FEATURES I appreciate:
* Tilted, angled keyboard for more comfortable typing. Reduces stress on my wrists and hands.
* Numeric keypad for office spreadsheet and math calculations usage.
* Sound – Most of the laptops I've ever listened too were infamous for 'tinny' sounding speakers. Here is where HP Envy is 'over-the-top' with Bang and Olufsen speakers. With the Bang and Olufsen Audio Control, you can adjust the level of treble along with bass and dialog clarity. Customize your speakers to be ALIVE!
* Wide IPS, HD, Touch Screen, which allows me to open two pages of any of my documents on this generously-sized screen to work on, and, edit with Windows Ink (see attached pic.) I love it!
* Outstanding Webcam with Microphone, which allows me to video conference with my family when I am out-of-town. I do not normally use the hotel / motel's Internet connection. Most of the time their bandwidth is too narrow, so I use my mobile smart phone as a router and Bluetooth my HP Envy Laptop to say hello and keep in touch on family news.
* Entertainment – I enjoy the DVD/CD/RW player. It allows me to play purchased videos and CDs for home and away-from-home, road entertainment. Additionally, there is an HMDI connection, which allows me to connect to my home TV or most TVs on the road. Love it!
* Generous Battery Power – HP says you can get 9.25 hours of use. The best I ever got was 7 hours of continued use, but I use lots of MS applications, plus DVD Vids, CD Sound, and Video Conferencing as a routine.
* Fast processing of all my MS Office software applications. They load quickly and accurately.
* Multitasking – Because of the 12 GB upper memory and 16 GB SSD, lower cache memory I can access any of my opened programs, documents, or data in expedited speeds compared to my older desktop. I can open all of the MS Office programs, E-mail, while browsing topics on the Internet with amazing speed.
* Dedicated Video Memory – NVIDIA GeForce M150, 2GB, which gives me all the quality resolution I need for a home-office set-up. Pics and videos of the Grand Kids are fantastic.
* Headphone / Microphone Combo Jack – One of the ports is a 3.5mm RCA Jack, which you can use to attach a headphone, mic, or auxiliary speaker(s). This is great if you want to expand and compliment the outstanding sound from your HP Envy Laptop' Bang and Olufsen speakers.
* Memory – Intel Optane – Almost like AI ( Artificial Intelligence) It 's intuitive intelligence understands your daily computing routine and increases the performance to match. WoW!
* Auxiliary Ports – There is a generous number of ports, 3 USB Type 3.0 ports, 1 HDMI port, 1 Type 'C', 3.1 port, 3.5mm RCA Jack, and SD Card Reader.
* MU-MIMO – This HP Envy laptop uses the latest Wi-Fi technology, 802.11ac protocol, which is dedicated to fast, Wi-Fi response for your devices. This laptop screams speeds to my router!

My issue with the silver keyboard and silver keys is that they are difficult to recognize with the muted lettering on the keys, especially in low level lighting. The interior oven measures approximately 10" x 13" x 14", which is approximately, slightly larger then one cubic foot. Ninja folks say you can cook a 12 pound bird in the oven. I don't think weight has that much to do with it. I cooked a five pound Pot Roast and it was dwarfed in this oven (see pic). Probably could of cooked 15 pounds of Pot Roast. Based on my experiences. . . .You can easily cook 10 or more pounds of Turkey Breast in this oven (as long as it is contained in a 12" x 12" x 12'' area. . . .Hope this helps.

I easily get 12 hours of battery life over two days of use. I think I could get at least several more hours if I didn't stream movies for entertainment at night in my motel room when I am out of town. This baby is powerful and fast. My guess is that if you just do word documents and e-mail you will come close to 17 hours of battery life.. . .

I have the Pixelbook Go 13.3 TS Chromebook with the Intel i5 - 8GB - 128GB SSD. I was amazed how fast it was and what i could do on it. This unit will allow you to download Apps from the Google Play Store. I downloaded MS Word and Excel although Google Docs is an excellent word processing software too. Google also has fine presentation software also.
The touch display screen is bright and clear and wide enough 16:9 aspect, so that two pages of a word document can be displayed at one time if so desired. Great for students. It features a center-placed trackpad, which is adjustable for sensitivity. The keys on the keyboard are backlit and can be adjusted for brightness level. Only an Android smart phone can connect through BT to lock the unit and turn it on, if you wish. It will also allow you to send and receive messages from your phone and, or Pixelbook. This Pixelbook does utilize the voice commands of the Google Assistant also. There are thousands of Apps at the Play Store, and in my opinion, this Chrome OS rivals Windows and Mac for productivity. Chrome OS is a simple easy to learn system. It is NOT bloated like Windows or Mac so a high end processor, RAM memory, or huge hard drive is not needed. Cloud backups is available. This is a sold unit for school-related productivity, note taking, and entertainment too. It is great for creating and editing word processing and spreadsheets, e-mail, and surfing the web for information. But it is NOT a gamer or able to do heavy graphics and photo editing.

When door is open 90 degrees how far does the door extend beyond the side? Can it be installed flush against a wall on the hinge side?

YES - The door can be extended beyond 90 degrees. However, it would have to protrude a couple of inches out from the 'flush' side of the cabinetry to fully extend against a wall. When the unit is free-standing the Right-Side-Handed-Door can extend approximately 145 degrees from its fully closed position. Hope this helps. . . .

I have the Bose QC 35 Headphones and just received the Jabra Elite 85h Headphones for review. In my opinion the Jabra 85h has the superior Noise Cancelling tech. Jabra uses AI (artificial Intelligence) in its Active Noise Cancelling profiles. It basically analyzes the noise backgrounds you are currently in, and changes your ANC to match your audio environment.
I was out at my pool listening to Pandora when my neighbor started to trim his hedges. My Jabra headphones changed my listening environment within ten seconds so I did NOT hear his noisy clippers. I love this tech. Additionally, the Bose QC 35 should not be in an outside environment, especially a moist one (I live in North Florida - Hot & Humid). Jabra 85h is rainproof and dustproof, and I have no problem taking these headphones outside. In my opinion the Jabra Sound App offers more features and settings then Bose. However, Bose has the superior sound over BT. When I connected a 3.5mm jack from my amp-receiver to each headphone set I could not tell any noticeable difference. Both headphones were able to be manipulated by my amp's EQ and responded accordingly. Bose has the better (HRAs) High Resolution Audio codecs to transmit CD quality music over BT. But, Bose is a lot more expensive too. For the price point, in my opinion, Jabra Elite 85h is less expensive, and features better AI and ANC technology. Both are outstanding over-the-ear earphones.
