build quality is on par for other infinity figures, which is to say, excellent. Personally, I really enjoy the Disney Infinity aesthetic. In-game, Thor can throw his hammer for ranged, and swing his hammer for melee. Thor can also fly, which is much more enjoyable than running around in the toy box in my opinion.
Kojima Productions ushers in a new era for the Metal Gear Solid V franchise with its newest chapter — Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain — which is set nine years after the fall of Mother Base and the other events in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. If you've never played a Metal Gear game, be prepared to be utterly confused by the conspiracy talk online, or even the storyline of the game. Of all the games so far, MGS V is actually the most accessible in terms of gameplay. New gamer? Stealth too hard because you have no patience? No problem, as Kojima programmed an in-game "easy mode" via the chicken hat that triggers only after you've failed a mission repeatedly, letting you progress without making the game entirely too easy.
The fox engine makes lighting look amazingly photorealistic, and the controls are super tight as to be expected from a metal gear game. Unlike previous metal gear games, V is open-world, so it's more in line with the current trend of game design. You have more freedom to approach objectives however you like.
All in all, I'd recommend any metal gear fan get this because it's most likely Kojima's (and possibly the series') final entry. If you're a metal gear newbie, the convoluted nature of the metal gear lore can be jarring. However, even metal gear solid vets find the stories crazy and outlandish, so that may not be as big of a deterrent.

As stated above, among the MacBook family, the 13 in. Air offers the best mix of portability, performance, battery life, for the price. The new MacBook is sleeker with a retina display, but with the USB-C as its sole port, it's not worth the price:performance ratio in my opinion. The Pros are always nice, but a dedicated GPU is only really necessary for people doing stuff like CAD, music, etc. For 90% of people who buy Apple laptops, they're checking facebook, reading email, or using it as a work machine, which means a retina display or dedicated GPU are unnoticeable.
The 13 in. Air offers the best battery life, meaning you can actually carry it all day for work without having to be tethered to a power cable, and for word processing or even Netflix on that screen size, the non-retina display hardly gets noticed.

I played Rock Band 1 and loved it, but then like many others, became exhausted by the almost yearly rehash of the same system. Now being several years out of the music game genre, I was surprised to find myself being interested in Rock Band once again.
The controllers: Improved build quality with tighter joints on the drums, and more solid body on the guitar. The strum bar is unfortunately still very mushy without the satisfying "click" you get on the guitar hero controllers
The game: Very barebones, character creation is very limited with only a few preset choices, but the career mode adds a sort of RPG-lite features, reminiscent of the old choose your own adventure books. For example, one of the early band choices you're offered is to hire a sleazy manager for more cash flow or to stay true to the music and gain more fans but less money. Personally, I find it more enjoyable than just bouncing around from locale to locale and playing gigs, as I feel like the choices actually make you feel more like a real band.
In conclusion, it's fun, but definitely more for the group dynamic. If you're predominantly going to be playing solo, this probably isn't the best choice for you.

As with other Amiibo, the quality is hit or miss. I looked through all the available Marth figures on the shelf and some had bent swords, some had paint run-off, others had even more of a derpy expression, so be sure to examine your figure before you buy it. That being said, Marth used to be a unicorn figure available only to those willing to pay a king's ransom. Thankfully not so any more. If you like Marth or main him on Smash, get the figure. If you're a potential scalper seeking to crush the hopes and dreams of legitimate collectors, unfortunately, the window of opportunity for exaggerated profits are gone as Nintendo has finally ramped up reproduction of their previously ultra-rare figures.

This review comes with a caveat. Many tech sites say e-readers are dying, kind of like the "Nintendo is doooooomed" crowd, or the GPS is obsolete argument. I don't disagree. As our phones become more sophisticated and the phone screen sizes continue to balloon up to tablet-like proportions, dedicated devices will continue to go the way of the dodo. But sometimes, if you're interested enough, a dedicated device is precisely what you need. I had (key word: "had") an ipad mini 2 that I had been using as my all-round in-bed Netflix + reading machine. Except I'd get about 3 seconds in before getting nudged by my wife due to half the room being lit up. As I spend more time reading on my ipad than watching Netflix, I decided to sell my ipad mini and just buy 2 kindles - one for my wife and myself. The new Kindle Paperwhite feels just as solid as the outgoing model, but the resolution is now 300 dpi. The e-ink screen almost feels like a page of a paperback when you swipe, and in my personal preference, I like that.
The battery is rated to last 6-8 weeks on average between the various tech sites, which trumps my ipad mini by several life cycles. Yes the screen has to refresh unlike a tablet, but it's not very noticeable and I don't find it distracting at all for reading.
Cases aren't nearly as ubiquitous as for the ipad, so you've basically got the standard Amazon-branded leather case or offbrand cases from sites like Ebay.
I enjoy reading, and I frankly don't want to wear any thicker glasses than I already have. Backlight can cause bad eye strain, so that's another plus for the Kindle over the iPad.
In summary, TL;DR: if you want a dedicated e-reader, you can't go wrong with the Kindle PW. The price:performance ratio is much better than the Voyage IMHO.
But that's assuming that you're somebody who spends enough time reading to make the Kindle device worth carrying. If you only read for a few seconds here and there, adding an extra device to lug around isn't for you. So like a Garmin, the market has a specific niche and YMMV depending on your needs. For me, the Kindle was a great fit.

I've played many RPGs and ARPGs that claimed to be "open world." Many games claim to have gameplay decisions that affect the game world. Fallout 3 and New Vegas (to a lesser extent) did a great job of making you feel like you actually affected how the world worked, but Witcher 3 takes it to a new level. I beat up some rowdy thugs early in the game, and several hours of gameplay later, a witness called me out in public when I was in a major city. Little details like this really immerse you in the game.
Controls: This is where I have to dock some points off. For such a great success in creating a gameworld that sucks you in, clunky controls aggravated me all too often. Geralt is a complete B-A casting signs, destroying mythical creatures with bombs, swords, and potions, but... he dies because he can't make a sharp left turn and thus falls of a ledge. Again. and again. Not the worst controls I've seen in a game, but definitely mars what would be an otherwise flawless experience.
Despite the clunky controls, the story and flexibility of the game are more than worth the cost of admission. Highly recommend.

After using inkjet printers and getting frustrated at having to replace ink cartridges after only using my printer a few times, I finally decided to make the change to a laserjet. Yes, the upfront costs are cheaper for an inkjet, and that's how they got me when I was in college. However, inkjet cartridges dry up (rather rapidly) if you don't use the printer for long periods of time. I don't run a small office in my apartment so I only need to print a few pages every few months. A laserjet cartridge will cost you much more than a single inkjet cartridge, but the upside is that after 2 months of not printing anything, I boot my printer up, and I can push "print" without worrying about whether the nozzles have dried up. Unless you want to print photos fairly often, I can't think of many reasons to purchase an inkjet over a solid laserjet printer. And of all the laserjets, this model not only provides scanning/copying, but the dependability based on hundreds of reviews gave me peace of mind.

the greatness of the original with better graphics

back when Majora's Mask was first released on N64, it drew a line. Even long time Zelda fans were split because Nintendo required you buy an extra expansion pack for your N64. The game was grand, and I loved it then. It doesn't really follow the typical Zelda formula as you've got a time limit (3 days in-game) before the moon destroys the world.
Now on 3DS, the graphics have been upgraded, and some of the more hardcore quests have been changed so more people can find them. Yes, some will argue that the game got "watered down," but I'm OK with that. I don't have all day to play video games any more, so I can't be fulfilling obscure unnamed objectives in order to unlock secret quests any more.
I played the original, and I'm playing the updated version. I love them both. If you have a regular 3DS, IMHO, it works better with the circle pad pro. If you were lucky enough to get the MM 3DS limited edition console... congrats, and, I strongly dislike you.

Sheik's figure is modeled well, shows a good amount of detail, and isn't nearly as frustrating to find as say MetaKnight or any of the big 3. Being a fan of Zelda, and seeing as how Sheik was one of my mains on Smash, I was excited to find one of these on the shelf. Literally last one left. If you see one, and you even think you might want it, might as well just buy it there or regret it later.
