Almost There for Health and Healing

The Calming Heat Flexi Wrap by Sharper Image, the Massaging, Weighted Customizable Wrap with therapeutic heat, at first blush and use, was not my vibe. However, after reading the user manual, which is needed in this case, and continually using over several times and areas of applications, definitely effected my point of view. .
The product description says that the therapeutic heat with relaxing massaging vibrations and targeted weighted pressure in a flexible, form-fitting is for soothing relief anywhere you need it. Well, if you do not have access to a plug in there that whole concept goes.
If you look at my picture with the tape measure, you will see that the messaging/heat part is only about 28" long. At first I wondered how much of a body could be wrapped up with that short length. I am a 5'7" woman of small to mediums size and if a larger woman or most men used this device I wonder if it would be long enough to cover the body area that they would need to wrap up. So, over many times of use. I have discovered that the user might have to simply dangle it or just place it over the area that they seek relief on and apply their body's pressure back against it.
For example, I noticed just today that I wanted to treat my left shoulder blade and I wrapped it cross wise under my left are and around my neck. I then elevated my bed and laid back against the wrap. Just by laying on the wrap intensified the massaging action and brought more warmth to the area.
I wonder if there would be a way to make this unit without an electrical plug in cord or to maybe make that cord longer so the user would not feel tethered to it. Like I previously said, there are 2 buttons at the end of the wrap and they each have 3 settings that are represented from green for the lowest, blue for the mid setting, and red for the highest setting. The user must hold the active button for at least 3 seconds to initiate the button's function. Then, you hit 1x for the lowest setting, 2x for the mid setting, and 3x for the highest one. I personally like the highest massaging and heat settings. In fact, the vibrating will automatically turn itself off after 15 minutes and the heat will automatically turn itself off after 2 hours.
While this is cost effective, but it may not cover enough area or be large enough to cover the area that the user wishes to treat. That is one of my issues with the Calming Wrap and then the fact that the user is tethered to a not so long electric cord that must provide the power for it to function. This item will truly be helpful once you figure out how to apply it.

Sleek, Soundless, and Sound

The LG - gram, 2-in-1 16” WQXGA Laptop with Intel Evo Platform Core i7 with 16GB RAM and 1TB NVMe Solid State Drive in black is sleek, sexy, soundless, and sound. What do I mean by that. Well, right from the start your eyes encounter a very well-packaged unit that would not only be great for you, but would also make a great gift for any lucky person on your list.
LG tried to make this higher end laptop computer appeal to the senses- it comes in a stylish, sleek, black classy box with a cardboard thickness that can keep the contents inside safe. The outside finish is a matte black and even though this is a 16" size screen, the depth at it largest is still less that 1 inch. Why do I keep talking about this- it is because for the size this is a very lightweight, easily portable unit that can literally be carried around with one arm or put in a large purse or small tote.
Second point, the solid state drive in this unit is quiet as a mouse and I really mean that. In other solid state units of the past on laptops that I have used, the motor would rev itself up every so often, including when it would boot itself up. This LG Gram is so quiet and I do not feel any heat coming out of it either. I will say that on the underside there is a warning stamped on that says to keep it on a flat and firm surface so that the unit can vent its heat through the perforated holes on a constant basis to prevent heat build up that would cause unit damage.
Third, I am a CPA by trade and therefore, I am very proficient on a 10-key adding machine. LG Gram designers had the presence of mind to use some of the real estate adjacent to the normal keyboard where many other laptop designs do not- I am so thrilled that they thought to include the separate 10-key.
Fourth, I found the initial set up and WiFi connect seamless and since I am not an IT person, just self taught and in a rural area where there is not a lot of help, I am always anxious when setting up a new electrical something that requires set up, period. Fifth, this is truly a 2 in 1 that almost immediately rotates the screen, all 360 degrees, as a matter of fact, Sixth, LG is including the stylus pen, that oh by the way is also a mouse with a left and right button on the pen. They even include a single AAAA battery, replacement pen tip, a Tweezer to assist with changing the tip, and a very detailed instruction manual, in numerous languages with helpful graphic pictures and verbiage that any newbie can understand. I found the stylus helpful and had lots of fun with it. So often these days you have to go on the manufacturer's website to download all the instructions and that costs the user lots more time. In fact, that reminds me that LG Control center, Finger Print Guide in PDF, and Virtuo by LG Guide in PDF come loaded, as well as, Microsoft Edge.These have been my impressions, but I also went to Best Buy's website where this laptop is listed and LG rates itself based on the unit's 16 GB of Ram and 1 TB of solid state storage and what the best uses for this machine.

Really LIke This Kit

The Beurer - Electric Manicure/Pedicure Set in white & gold has a really nice set up that contains all the attachments that are needed to take care of you and your family's finger and toe nails, day in and day out. I am so glad that the manufacturer did not skimp on a storage bag that houses and maintains the appliance itself, as well as, all the attachments.
Just as important, this unit also comes with a comprehensive user's manual that not only explains how to use the device, but also how to maintain and clean the appliance, too. Like I previously said, this device comes with very high-end attachments for all your nail needs.
I am a 62-year-old woman that not only pounds my fingers on a 10 key during the day, I am a CPA, but I also use my hands to garden day in and day out. So, my fingernails are often a mess and easily break and peel off. I have used the fine sapphire wheel to file them and then I buff them with the felt cone; I am quite happy with the results.
I also think that it is brilliant that the engineers of this unit have included a dust shield that goes on and off the machine, no matter what attachment the operator might want to use. This shield snaps on and off easily without fear of breaking it while in use.
This unit charges quickly and the manual says that it will work for 2 hours on a full charge. The appliance comes with its own charging cord that connects to a standard USB power source. I was also pleasantly surprised that this appliance will go in a clockwise or counter clockwise fashion and that there are several operating speeds, too. So, when operating clockwise, the bottom light will be green and when operating in reverse, counter-clockwise, that bottom light will be red.
I do not know if you all realize that as a person ages their toe nails start to curl in and there is a greater chance of having those awful ingrown toe nails. So, to that end, I am more than thrilled that there is an ingrown nail attachment. It has a much smaller narrow pointed head and the operator can use the device on the lowest speed, use the + or the - buttons to either speed up or reduce the motor's speed, while attacking the ingrown nail. By the way, there is a 800 number to call if the user needs customer service in the USA and they say that they would like to take care of any issues, that I think is a good sign and I am allways happy when a manufacturer makes it easy to contact them if I need to. Very good product for the price.

Jury is Still Out

The Vanity Planet, Exfoliating & Lifting Wand in white comes in a box with the unit, a USB charging cable, and a manual. Honestly, like I said in the title of this review, the jury is still out on what I think.
So, going through the process from when I got this unit, clearly the first thing to do is get it charged up. You need to have some sort of ability to put the USB into a charging port and since I do this in my bathroom. electric plug in with a USB port works best for me. The user manual states that it takes 2 hours to charge and then the charge should last for 1 hour and 20 minutes, but my experience does not bear that out. I notice that when I put the scrubber away and then come back to it the next day that the charge must have dissipated and when I press the on/off button there is no response
That is a concern of mine that I might have a bad unit, but I simply do not know. I imagine the best thing for me to do is call the company and try to get customer service to give me an opinion, but I cannot find that anywhere in their user manual or on the box that it comes in, which is what I will try to do when i have time to do so. The manual that came with the unit is complete and very helpful, no short cuts there.
So, this wand has 3 different levels of service - to cleanse, which is to exfoliate, to moisturize, which is to apply serums, lotion, and potion to your face, and lift, which is to eradicate fine lines and wrinkles. Right off the bat, in my opinion, the evaluation period has not been long enough to determine the efficacy of the lift function. I will say that the most zing is using this to cleanse, and then a mid amount of zing to moisturize, and the least amount of zing to lift.
I am a 62 year old female with very well-taken car of skin, I have not abused it over the years with sun exposure , etc. When I use the cleanse feature, I do feel that my skin feels plumper and that it has gotten some sort of workout with this ultrasonic scrubber. That feeling is good because it lets me know that my face did get exercised.
I did have some sort of small pore blockage, blackhead, right where my skin meets my upper lip on the right side and yesterday I went through the full gambit of functions to work on that area. I must have brought it to a head and/or loosened it up because with a little bit of squeezing this morning, I was able to get the yuck out of that pore.
Tailor your routine on page 11 of the user manual says that we can use all three levels at one sitting, but to not use it more than 2 minutes on any of the settings. It also states to incorporate its use into our routine about 1 or 2 times per week depending on the user's skin sensitivity. For that reason, I cannot honestly state whether or not I find this unit beneficial to purchase.

Love this Dryer

The Shark® Hyper Air with IQ 2-in-1 Concentrator and IQ Styling Brush has been very good so far for me. Just like so many, I go get my hair cut, colored, and styled every 6 weeks or so and we like our do then, but cannot then recreate it on our own. Well, this dryer with multiple attachments can help you do the do with less heat and wear and tear on your hair.
So, this product contains 2 of the 4 available attachments, that I know about, the air concentrator and the styling brush. It is recommended to first towel dry your hair and then use the air concentrator with it in that allows more airflow to start drying your hair and then you move the adjustment that makes it come out and which then targets airflow to a more specific area. I then attach the styling brush which can be used either vertically or horizontally, really like that. There are 2 other attachments, the air diffuser and the waver that are available for separate purchase. This hair dryer, based on which attachment is clicked onto the body, and make sure that you hear it "click" on because only when that is done the IQ letters on the back of the dryer will then light up to let the user know that the attachment is properly attached and operational. Each of the attachments has predetermined setting for the the airflow and temperature settings for the best results. However, one can also manually change this preset setting if they feel that some other settings would be better for them.
The unit is lightweight and easily handled by small hands. Additionally, if you use the scan bar, either on the manuals or the cardboard insert, that will get you to Shark's You Tube Videos explaining the contents, as well as, how to's on how to style one's hair. while using this machine. I did watch the videos and in fact, they had a man with short hair show both men and women with similar lengths on how to their hair, too.
In my case, I am a 62 year old and styling my hair is not my greatest strength. I prefer to have smooth hair with height at the roots and curved under at the ends, oftentimes using either curlers or those round brush "perfecter" style heated utensils to achieve those results. I do not have very curly hair so the purchasing the diffuser and putting it into the diffuser for drying does not thrill me, but i might look into buying one of those air hair wavers going forward, we will see. Bottom line, I have only used this machine a few times since receiving it because I do not wash my hair more than 2 or 3 times per week. However, I do like my "smooth" hair with slight curl at the end-it looks good and feels good. Additionally, I feel that the pricing is much better than the one made by the D company.

Small But Does All Kinds of Things

The Sensio Bella Pro 5.3 QT see through touchscreen Air Fryer in black and stainless steel is a handy, lightweight cooking machine that can do many tasks. Since it is only 5.3 quarts in size this is best for cooking for maybe 1-2 or 3 people at a time because there is only so much real estate in the cooking pot.
The unit only comes with a crisper insert that is placed at the bottom of the pot when engaging in the air crisping function, allowing the food to get air flow underneath it. By the way, that crisper insert is coated with a non-stick material just like the inside of the pot is lined with, making it very easy to clean and essentially only requiring the user to literally wipe out the food and oil residue after the cooking has been completed.
I have only had this machine for a little bit over a week, but I have used it numerous times on many of the "menu" functions such as air fry potato boats, broil hot dogs and hamburgers, bake marinated salmon, steaks, etc. I am using this unit in my office and because it is small enough, it easily sits on a shelf in my file room alongside the microwave and those 2 pieces allow me to have all types of cooking that can be done in an area that is not a traditional kitchen with an oven. I am in a small town and there are not that many options for food during the workday, plus with Covid and wanting to spend less time and money on eating, this unit really helps out with that goal.
Although I have this currently at the office, the size and weight of the unit allows any user to easily transport it to any location that it might be needed. So, in my case that might be to take it home for larger dinners at holidays where I would need more cooking ovens to help make several dishes at one time. This could easily be put in a utility room or a butler's pantry to assist a dinner parties, etc.In fact, you could take it outside and plug it in or to a relative's house that might need more cooking units at those family dinners. Easy peasy..
The control panel on the top is easily lit up and very easy to use and figure out. One uses the menu button to toggle through the different cooking functions and while there is a preset time and temperature for each function, the user can also adjust their time and temperature , if they so choose, with up and down arrow buttons for each. Once the function, time, and temperature have been determined, one only needs to then push the start button and there she goes.
Even though the cooking pot is small, I really appreciate that there is a light button to hit and it will stay on, allowing the cook to watch their items cooking. I think that this unit can effectively, on a smaller scale, be in place of many machines. The only function not represented is "Toast", but you could use the broil feature for a smaller amount of time. let's say 3 minutes, to get bread and other items "toasted", if need be. This does the job well and is its pricing is reasonable.

Small But Mighty, Quietly At Work

The Instant - Air Purifier, Small Room in black may only service a small room, maybe 144 sq. feet or a 12 x 12 room, but it is mighty. I was asked to request this air purifier in either white or black and I chose black. This machine is very well packed and it comes very well packed with its filters, all was in good shape to get started.
So, in my case I initially have put it on the floor in my kitchen/sunroom area. While it is not that large, it would take up too much real estate, Imo, on a kitchen countertop so I decided to place it on the floor. I followed the instructions on how to put it together, making sure that I got the filters installed in the right places. Upon setup, I placed it on the automatic mode and for the longest time heard nothing, no sound, nada-did this mean that it was not working or sensing if air purification was needed or a more aggressive cleansing? Well, how wrong was I. One day my husband was frying food on the gas cooktop on our kitchen's island and he overheats his fry pan so that when he places the food in the pan to cook all kinds of smoke and odors are emitted. To my complete surprise, all of a sudden, this small but mighty air purifier senses all these particles in the air and kicks into action revving up the motor to defeat these particles and odors.
Now, remember that this machine is on the floor and actually behind an island that is a physical block between the island where the cooktop is. While on the auto setting, it revved up to what sounded like a high setting and set about neutralizing and eating up the particles that the cooking put into the air. Remember that the model that I have is for a small room and only supposed to support about a 12-foot distance, which this machine was about from the island with the cooktop. I was impressed that even though the offensive odor was at its maximum distance and physically blocked by the cabinets in the peninsula, it still sensed and engaged to do its job. That is about all that I can say because otherwise it is silent and you wonder if it is working at all, at least when it is on automatic.

My Dream Laptop

Dell certainly did a good job imaging and designing this computer. First, we have to look at the way it comes packaged. It comes in a sleek, black, magnetic close tab box-very sexy and classy. So, right out of the gate, this certainly presents itself as a great and beloved present to not only yourself, but to anyone special who would benefit from a computer like this. The silver outside with the graphite keyboard is smooth and stylish, yet not too gaudy of a design. The box that they place it in is thicker and well insulated against bumps and bangs which was a good thing since the outer cardboard box that this designer box that this computer was nestled in arrived in from FedEx shipping took a little bit of abuse during the shipping processing
As you unwrap and open the “gift” box, you see the laptop and It is wedged in the stamped plastic pretty good, so watch trying to get the laptop out. When you first feel the laptop in your hands, you can feel the time and precision Dell put into this computer. In fact, this unit is quite weighty, but not so much that it is not portable. It is not made of cheap plastic molding; again, you can feel the weight of all that they did to make sure the components are kept safe. When you first power on the computer Cortona walks you through the whole setup stage, from the keyboard style, to the facial recognition, all the way to the WIFI setup and registration of the computer. I also enjoy how I can log in under my Microsoft account, I was seamlessly able to jump right into my existing emails and download my Word programming and all my saved documents and files. With the amount of RAM this device has, I have no problems updating and downloading software. I love how the keyboard is made out of carbon fiber and has matte black color design, alleviating fingerprints and other stuff that makes a mess. All the keys seem to respond without any noticeable lag. Also, the keyboard is backlit making it easy and enjoyable to use in the dark while not interrupting anyone else that might be around you. This laptop can be used in any type of business and the one thing that was not included on the keyboard touch area was a 10 key pad, which some of us like to use as we do number digit data entry.
The monitor allows the user a fully immersed experience and displays beautiful and sharp imaging, crisp and clean colors that aids the use of this laptop during the creative process, whether the user is an amateur or a professional in either videography, photography, business that requires printing, like a restaurant's menu or a salon's listing of services and associated pricing. In fact this would be great for not only a student in their middle and high school years during their AV classes, but the teacher that needs to prepare their handouts to their students.

The use of creativity is part of the business world, and the software that drives and allows the user to do these jobs, must have a computer with a fast processor, a good or great video processor and plenty of RAM memory for power to multi task and do many things at one time, leaving numerous tabs open and the ease to go back and forth between tasks. To that end, I know that most low-cost notebooks and laptops are simply not going to have the umpf to do the job.

The Dell - Inspiron 7415, 2-in-1, 14.0" Touch-Screen Laptop - AMD Ryzen 7 - 16GB Memory - 512GB Solid State Drive says that the color is Mist Blue, but even in the brightest light looks like a charcoal gray at best with maybe a tinge of blue. This 14" 2 in 1 is fairly light weight, 5 pounds or less, and can easily be carried around in one hand and put in some sort of small tote or bag. For this MSRP, I think that Dell could have included at least some sort of sleeve or carrying case because other than the power unit, there are no other accessories that come with the 2 in 1.
However, this unit does have 360 degree auto-rotate and can thus be used as a laptop in multiple directions, as well as, a tablet in multiple directions, too. I really like this feature for convenience sake. I also really like that this computer can also be used by either engaging the touch pad or just using your fingers, like you would on your smartphone, swiping and touching the computer's screen. Keyboards will pop up on the screen and you can fill in screens or whatever that way versus using the official keyboard.
The very brief printed owner instructions note that this unit includes Wireless-AX, Bluetooth, Micro SD Card Reader, HDMI and USB Type-C, Waves Maxx Audio and a back lit keyboard that is great for working or playing in dim or no light. This unit does have a fingerprint reader for safety'sake. The Webcam can be shuttered because at the top where the view finder is, there is a sliding mechanism that either puts the view finder either fully open or shut for privacy and especially kids these days with Zoom and other conferences.
The solid state drive is so very quiet, cool, and the machine is very quick, great if you are wanting to communicate quickly. The reason for only 4 stars is that I do not feel that I have put it through its paces long enough to run into trouble yet. However, the set up is easy peasy, and the battery life is to die for. I took it out of the box with some charge, charged it, and have for a long time just been shutting the covers, not even turning it off, and when I pick it up each time it is on and engaged in a split second or so.
The only thing that bothered me was that there was no separate 10 key, I am a CPA, but maybe 2 in 1's with only 14" screens do not have enough real estate to put one in. So, other than this 2 in 1 not being able to detach at the hinge and coming with no real accessories. like a stylus pen, carrying case, mouse, or other loaded software, or 24/7 live US-based, no questions asked support like these do on the shopping channels, all is good.

Hoping for Greatness, But Weary About That

The Brother MFCJ4535DW INKvestment Tank Inkjet Printer for $199.99 is my 3rd INKvestment machine and I am sorry to say that the first 2 were more expensive, the original INKvestment lasting for only 8 months and the refurbished replacement sent to me lasting less than 2 years. Overall, there is a lot to like, but if you enter into this relationship it is my opinion that today's all-in-one printers are basically part of the throwaway society and reconcile yourself to spending an amount that will not make you feel bad if it goes down after the 2 year warranty period, which seems to now be the industry standard versus the prior 1 year one.
Okay, so now I will get off my soap box and talk specifically about this current model, the MFCJ4535DW. My prior MFC-J995DW XL Wireless All-In-One Inkjet Printer only had 1 tray and I was pleasantly surprised to see that this model has 2 trays. So, as a CPA office, I have loaded letter-sized paper in tray 1 and legal-sized paper in tray 2. Either of the trays can be converted for the larger paper and they also both will accommodate for envelopes, statements, and all of the various and sundry photo paper sizes.
Like in the past, Brother printers have an easy peasy setup process that takes you from one task to the other on your computer screen, in addition to the WiFi network setup. As you will see in my pictures, the machine also has an ADF, automatic document feeder, and yet it has a small enough footprint so that I can simply place it on my Origami metal shelf with virtually no vibration.
The LCD screen is very comfortably read, and trust me when I say that I have huge eye fatigue. You can also print to Dropbox and some other specialty programs quite easily. The online manuals, warranties, drivers, etc. are all located at one site on Brother-just type in the type of equipment and model number.
Make sure that you sign up for your machine's warranty because my experience definitely will require you to call their toll free number for assistance at some point with your ongoing relationship with Brother.

Again, I will say that my technical support calls were off shored around the world, of which I am certainly no fan of. In this case, if you try to explain that you received this printer as part of Best Buy's Technical Insider Network in exchange for an honest and free review after usage their heads blow up because they do not even know what Best Buy is or that they are a major national U.S. retailer of goods. Oh, by the way, I also downloaded their printing app, in my case from the Google Play store since I have a Samsung smartphone, and it is a gem that never has let me down when I engage it. Thumbs up for now>
