A great air fryer. What else could it be?

So I love air fryers. The only drawback in my opinion is that even the largest ones are too small for my family. For me, I can never have too many air fryers. With that being said, Marshmello 8 qt fits my needs perfectly.
You can't really change too much on the classic air fryer design BUT this one is a pretty good looking one. The window is a really nice touch which will let you see the dish cooking without having to open and let the hot air escape. The interface is simple as all air fryers should be. You plug it in and you should be ready to go. You can take full advantage of all 8 qts. It does not take up quite as much space as I expected which is a plus.
So I have tried fries, steaks, cookies, pizzas, nuggets, pasta, and all sorts of foods. The verdict: it air fries good. Cleanup is easy as you just throw the basket and tray in the dishwasher.
So far, I love this thing and it is a great addition to my air fryer collection. Given that it is one of the bigger ones, it is definitely a workhorse in my household.

The best looking keyboard I have owned

Right out of the box, I just loved the way this keyboard looked. Without a doubt, this is the best looking keyboard I have owned period. Kudos to Roccat and their design team because they really nailed this one. It is fairly lightweight. The main chassis is plastic and the top plate is made of aluminum. Build quality feels decent. It's got rubber strips on the back for grip and you can tilt three levels. The silicone wrist rest is decent. Not the most comfortable one out there but it works so well with the lighting that you just let it go.
You connect the keyboard with dual USB-A connectors. Supposedly it can run off of one USB 3.0 port but you cannot take full advantage of the lighting effects with just one USB 2.0 port. In terms of the actual experience, these are optical switches so they aren't as "clicky" as one expects from traditional mechanical keyboards. However, in theory, they should faster and more responsive. I personally did not mind the typing experience on these but I could certainly see others not enjoying it all. They keycaps could be a bit slippery. You can always try switching out the keycaps to customize the experience. In terms of gaming, the quickness of the keys felt nice to me and I enjoyed the experience. The dual-LEDs are a nice touch and you can really customize all you want with their software. The software is not the most user-friendly and I honestly did not play with it too much. I am not too particular about customizing but definitely the software is a weakness of this keyboard.
All in all, I really like this keyboard. It does use optical switches which anyone looking to buy this should be aware of. The not so user friendly software also is a con. However, in terms of aesthetics, the Vulcan II Max can't be beat.

Clean air never felt so good

I love the LG PuriCare. Right out of the box, I was pleased with the design and aesthetic of the device. It is very sleek and modernistic. I think it complements any home design. Setting up the device is fairly simple. You have to remove the packaging. Of note, for the plastic film on the blades, it tells you to actually turn on the fan so the blades come out before you remove. I just pulled it out which probably was not the smartest thing to do, but it still working great.
There are three modes: wide, diffusion, and direct. Wide and direct are fairly similar in that it shoots out air out front. Diffusion is when the air is directed up and the idea is that if you place it in the center, it should spread out the air evenly. I really like the diffusion option and it works very well. I will say though that using the LG PuriCare as a fan during the summer months works actually very well and I would imagine I have saved money on not needing to turn up my AC.
The air quality is shown via three different sizes of dust particles: PM10 (the largest), PM2.5 (the middle), and PM1.0 (the smallest). The sensors will show levels of each and rate it from green (good), yellow (moderate), orange (unhealthy), and red (poor). Unsurprisingly, my place was red in all three. After keeping this on, it changed to green and I have been seriously breathing better since. I have asthma and allergies but they really have been milder since this has been running. I can breathe and sleep easier. The sensors are very sensitive and the PM goes up when I spray something in the air or even cook.
All in all, this is a really good option if looking for an air purifier.

So I might be a little bit biased because my first cordless vacuum was a Shark and I freaking LOVED that thing. My current one is a Dyson which I would actually consider the standard of cordless vacuums. It is getting old with inevitable wear and tear, so I was happy to get the Shark Cordless Pro with Clean Sense IQ.
Right out of the box, it feels premium and clean. I put it to the test right away. In terms of aesthetic, I would give the Shark the edge. It feels much more simple and minimalistic in my eyes. In terms of portability, I really like how the Shark folds. It does become "shorter" in a sense making it more easy to store.
The most important thing is the performance. So in terms of cleaning performance, I really don't think that there is a huge difference between the Dyson and Shark which is a compliment to Shark in my eyes. The Shark does a good job with even the stubborn pet hair on the carpet. Emptying is very satisfying. Cleaning the unit is also easy with disassembly into individual cleanable parts.
All in all, I am very happy with the Shark Cordless Pro. I can easily use it as my primary vacuum with its suction power and performance.

I just love this keyboard

I really love just simple and minimalistic aesthetics. The Logitech G713 fits this description. I also wanted a mechanical keyboard that could game like a beast. The Logitech G713 fits this description.
One thing clearly distinguishes the G713 from Logitech's previous lines. That would be the white finish. It looks SO good. It really just complemented my setup so well. Right out of the box, you will be pleased at your purchase. The build quality also felt excellent. It feels sturdy.
In terms of real use, I just love the tactile feedback that I get. The G713 uses the GX Brown keys. Honestly, it does not produce too annoying or distracting of a sound. It is fairly quiet. In terms of response time, it felt near instantaneous. The included cloud wrist rest looked dumb to me, but my wrists were screaming thank you. It feels like a cloud. The RBG lighting just looks SO good with the white. You can customize with the G Hub App.
All in all, this is a mechanical keyboard that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and yet can game like a boss. The white adds a nice aesthetic touch and the wrist rest is truly a nice addition.

I have had a fair share of gaming headsets. This one definitely took me by surprise.
Right out of the box, I was shocked by how light it was. Now, alot of people conflate weight with quality which is why alot of companies will just add random pieces of metal that do not add anything to the experience just to make it "heavier." However, this can actually backfire because you want a gaming headset to be lightweight given that you will be hunched over and playing for hours at a time. So I was happy that RIG got that right. The build quality nevertheless felt good. Comfort was great. I could play for hours without feeling too much fatigue.
The sound quality is something that really shines. Whether you are using it for gaming, streaming, music, it really just sounds good. Highs and mids were balanced. The bass is just the tiniest bit lacking compared to the competition but that is just me nitpicking.
The battery life truly is excellent. I have never had to charge it mid-gaming. I don't think I have even gotten close to pushing the battery limits. You could game for 15 hours and still have enough charge for a move or two. Once you are done, you just dock it in the charging base.
All in all, this is a great headset!

Just to get it out of the way, this printer is not an all-in-one. This also prints ONLY black.
For those who just need a simple printer that needs to truly crank out thousands of text pages, this should be on your short list. This has the benefits of a laser printer. Sure, it has a higher upfront cost than ink printers but instead you get much more bang-for-buck in that you don't have to keep buying ink. In addition, they are WAY faster and still maintain crisp text. There is no ink bleeding So if you need a workhorse printer for documents in your office, laser printers are definitely the way to go.
Out of the box, the HP LaserJet Tank 2504dw feels solid. I was pleased with the build quality. The printer is very easy to set up. The included instructions made it very easy for a layman. You add toner from a bottle and you should be good to go. It is able to do two-sided printing which was a Godsend for me. Save paper and time. No manual feeding it after printing one-side. The speed I would say was good. I was getting around the advertised 23 ppm. The print quality was also good. I was using it for mainly documents and I was pleased with the quality. Text was crisp and sharp without any bleeding.
All in all, for an office workhorse, I would look at the HP LaserJet Tank 2504dw.

Who knew the type of garbage disposal mattered?

So I live in an apartment whose management really doesn't care. Surprise surprise. My existing garbage disposal sounded like a banshee. Finally, it crapped out. So I let my apartment management know, and they send over a repairman. The repairman says they can fix it but because of these dang supply chain issues, the part is hard to find. Literally a year went by with them just not replacing my garbage disposal because they will "fix" it. I just decided to replace it myself.
The Smart Choice garbage disposal was a lot lighter than I expected. It still felt premium so I was encouraged about its quality. I called a handyman and boom, it was replaced within 10 minutes. The handyman just kind of washed the plastic bits and putty down the sink and then ran the garbage disposal. I wasn't happy about that, but the Smart Choice garbage disposal handled it without any issues. I was shocked by how quiet it was. It also grounds like a boss without sounding like a banshee.
All in all, for those looking for a good quality garbage disposal, consider the Smart Choice.

Pivoting to sleep training

I have had experience with Owlet products before, including a previous rendition of the Dream Sock, which was formerly called the Smart Sock. It had some concerns, mainly with the measurement of the blood oxygen levels so Owlet actually pulled the Smart Sock from the market. It has come back instead with the Dream Sock and now instead has opted for sleep training.
Honestly, when I first tried the Smart Sock, I had thought that it would be nice to pair with a baby monitor to physically correlate the things you were monitoring. So the Cam 2 and Dream Sock Duo made sense to me. I was excited to see how real-world use would turn out.
In terms of build quality and design. I have always liked the Owlet Sock designs. I think that they work great as long as my baby doesn't kick them off. They feel soft and did not cause any skin irritation although whether or not my baby liked keeping it on was a different question. The Owlet Cam 2 is also built and designed well. The magnetic base allows you to really hit any angle that you want. It also feels strong and sturdy.
Setup on the app was not as straightforward as I expected. I ran into some connectivity issues but eventually got it to work. I am not sure exactly what the problem was. This may have been a temporary hiccup for me. Once it got going, I did not face issues with setup. In terms of use, the camera was somewhat disappointing in its image quality. The images were not as sharp as I was used to from other baby monitors. The audio quality itself is ok but the lag was more than I was expecting. It was disconcerting at times to hear the audio lag when monitoring via video and not what you would expect in this day and age to be honest.
The app is ok. I enjoy the information that it provides such as how awake your baby is, heart rate, movement, etc. The Dream Lab part of the app gives suggestions and potential sleep training methods and guides.
All in all, I think pairing the cam and sock are a good idea by Owlet. However, with the lag issues, real-world use can suffer significantly. I think if improvements in the camera, video/audio lag, and app alerts were made, this would be a much better product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Another good security system by Swann

Swann has been in the game for a long time and continues their streak of reliable security systems with this series.
This security system comes with 4 cameras which for most people should be more than enough. It often goes on sale as well so I would say that this system is a good value, especially if you are able to grab it on sale. The build quality is ok but only time will tell if it will last the years that you want. I will say that it is mostly plastic and does feel light. This probably helps when setting up the cameras but does not give too much piece of mind as to the sturdiness. That being said, weight does NOT equal quality as some tech companies just shove metal in random places to make it heavier and feel more "premium."
Setup was very easy. I have set up Swann cameras before so this one was no different. If you have any questions, the guide should be able to answer all/most of the questions. Make sure to download the app and it will help with the set up as well.
Now in terms of the video quality. The images despite being advertised as a 4K UHD system, were not sharper than my 1080 cameras. Then, looking into the description shows that these are "upscaled." This is pretty misleading and I think those looking for the sharpest images will be disappointed. 1080P is good quality but it is a far cry from true 4K images. The night video is somewhat overblown as well. Sure you can see some color, but I much rather preferred the black and white recording.
The app was surprisingly good. The motion detection was pretty good and it sent alerts to my phone. Checking in remotely was no problem.
All in all, I still think this Swann system provides good value for the money, especially on sale.
