So I think if the printer can get set up properly, it really works well. I consider myself fairly tech-savvy and I gotta say I was a bit frustrated with the set up.
Out of the box, it has the office aesthetic that we are all used to. Nobody is going to stop and admire the HP LaserJet Pro 4001n for its groundbreaking design. It felt decently built and will at least outlast the toner cartridge it comes with.
The "n" in the model number means that it means it can be connected to a network via Ethernet. It does not have wireless connectivity. For some reason, setting the printer up just took a while. It had been a while since I had to go online to the support page to figure things out. The screen bugs out every now and then as well.
Once set up, this thing performs as it should. It can function as a workhorse for documents in the offiice. It does not do duplex printing. The print quality is good and I found it generally lived up to the 42 pages/minute. Of note, this is strictly a printer. It does not have any scan or fax capabilities.
Another thing that I have not appreciated about the trend of printers these days is the need for accounts and subscriptions. In order to get some of the smart functionality, you need an HP account. HP also pushes their Instant Ink program and locks out third party cartridges.
All in all, this is a decent office workhorse if you can get it setup properly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I didn't get it until I got it

In all honesty, if I read about this before I had a child, I would think it was just an unnecessary accessory. Everything has to be a smart system. After my newborn, I get it. Really get it. You simply don't have time to think and anything that gives a shortcut or cuts out time/decision-making is really appreciated.
Unboxing is very easy. The system itself is simple enough. There's a base to which the bottle and dome attach. You charge up the puck and the charge level is shown by LED lights in the base. It is very user-friendly which is understandable as you do not want to be fumbling around to heat up some milk. The build quality also seems good but only time will tell. The bottles are not heavy which is a must. Using the app is easy and you can literally start the warmer from anywhere. It takes about 3-4 minutes to heat to body temperature.
Clean-up is straightforward. The parts of the bottle are dishwasher safe so just throw them in the dishwasher.
Now the Ember baby bottle system is not a necessity for parents but it does make life a whole lot easier. Something to be aware of is that the bottles are small and you only get two. At this price point, it is up to you to determine if the convenience is worth it for you.

My wife just started nursing, and we were looking for something more comfortable and less limiting than the pump we had. Enter the Elvie Stride Plus.
Out of the box, I have to say that even I could figure out how to use it. This one was fairly intuitive. It is built to be fool-proof as you physically cannot (and should not) connect things the wrong way. It should all fit properly. The instructions were very helpful for me when it first arrived and we were trying to figure it out. The hands-free aspect of this pump is the obvious plus of Elvie Stride Plus. It is compact and lightweight which allowed my wife to just wear it under her clothes without it being too noticeable. The motor is also fairly quiet. I could barely make it out and I was trying to listen for it. It allowed my wife to keep doing her work and office tasks while pumping which she loved. Cleaning is very easy and you can just throw everything in the dishwasher.
My wife emphasizes that while pumping is not the most pleasant experience, the Elvie was still one of the more comfortable ones she had tried. She didn't have to wear a special bra and it freed up time for her. All in all, she was very pleased with the Elvie Stride Plus.

Near perfect Windows laptop

The Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra is expands Samsung's "Ultra" line to its laptops. Like another company that makes premium laptops and phones, Samsung is trying to create it's own ecosystem.
The unboxing experience is not unlike its direct competitor. It doesn't come in a boring brown box. It comes in a sleek white box that clearly paid attention to the unboxing experience. The laptop itself is so sleek and stylish. It sure looks pretty! The first thing that I was surprised about was the weight. It really is so lightweight compared to what I was expecting. I thought given how jam-packed the specs were, it would be heavier. It's less than 4 lbs!
Opening the laptop, the display is gorgeous with the 3K AMOLED. I will say, one thing that I took a little getting used to was the keyboard and trackpad. The keyboard includes a number pad so you do have to shift your hands away from the center of the laptop to the left when you type. I really think they could have done without the number pad. With this shift in the keyboard comes the shift in the trackpad as well to the left. This was kind of off-putting at first as well. It also doesn't visually satisfy you as much as your brain tends to like symmetry. That being said, you do get used to it!
In terms of performance, you can read all about the specs with the Intel core i7, 16 GB RAM, the RTX 4050. It is jam-packed. Now I do think the 16 GB was a mistake. For creators, gamers, etc., you want at least 32 GB especially at this price point and what you are competing against. The RTX 4050 is great but you have to expect that it won't be as powerful as in a proper gaming laptop as the power delivery is a little lower. That being said, for basic video editing, content creation, casual gaming, I was more than happy. Unfortunately, the battery life takes a hit with all of these things. Just web-browsing and streaming videos, I was only able to get 7-8 hours. Other demanding tasks would drain the battery like crazy. That is the downside of not being ARM-based I suppose.
With Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets, you can transfer files quickly, answer calls, write texts, and even use them as second displays. This might sound very familiar to you. I will say that I had a fun time taking advantage of these things. With Quick Share, I really can transfer files easily. It is much more efficient than emailing them to yourself. You can even encrypt them which in my line of work is necessary. The Galaxy Book 3 clearly is a more attractive option if you have multiple Samsung gadgets. The utility of the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra does go down a little bit if you do not have Samsung devices. Then, it is just a pretty and powerful Windows laptop which does have some competition.
All in all, this is a great Windows laptop. I think the keyboard layout with the number pad and the track pad being shifted to the left takes some getting used to. The performance is great. If you have other Samsung Galaxy devices, you can take advantage of the connectivity between them. The battery life is a little short. I think if you have the budget, this needs to be on the short list of premium laptops.

De'Longhi knows what they are doing

So I have had multiple De'Longhi coffee makers in the past and was really happy with them. This one keeps up that tradition.
Right out of the box, I was impressed with the build quality of the machine. I really liked the stainless steel look and it just fits with the rest of my kitchen appliances. Setup is straightforward. You plug it in, Put in some water and brew (in order to prime and clean the machine). Then, you should be all set to go.
You can choose the amount of coffee ranging from 3 ounces to 24 ounces. You can also choose the strength (light, gold, bold). Choosing the 3 ounce gets you almost close to an expresso shot but as this is not a dedicated expresso machine, I would not have high expectations. I would say the most useful part of the machine is that you can use set a time to brew. I always set mine to brew in the morning while I get ready for work. By the time I come down, the smell of fresh coffee is waiting for me. Cleaning is straightforward and I love that I can use the coffee grounds for compost with no waste.
All in all, De'Longhi knows what they are doing. This is another excellent product by them and any coffee lover will love it.

This thing is no joke. So I am a fan of LG monitors. This one replaced a LG 27 inch LED and man was I blown away.
When I saw the box, it reminded just how much I underestimated the size difference between the 27 inch display and the 45 inch one. Taking it out of the box, I really could see how aggressive the 800R curve is. It not being a flat display made me very careful when I assembled it. I really didn't want to place the monitor screen on the floor and mess up anything. Assembly is very easy. You just screw in the two parts of the stand. Then you just clip on the stand to the monitor! It looks very pretty and sleek. The screen itself is very thin. It has the RGB LED strips in the back to add that extra gamer look. The metal construction gives it a premium feel. Build quality feels good and you want that with the premium you are paying. The stand is also easily adjustable. To keep things slim, you can control the monitor settings with a separate remote control!
For connectivity, you have two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, two USB-A ports, an optical port, and even a headphone jack! So you will not have to worry about connectivity. Let's get into actual performance. The 240 Hz refresh rate is crazy. Gaming feels like everything is instantaneous. I believe the response time was around 0.03 msec. I wasn't sure how to feel about the aggressive curve but it really does keep everything in view while gaming and adds to the immersion. Not to mention how good everything looks in regards to color accuracy and contrast from a LG OLED screen. Everything looks so vibrant. Brightness wasn't an issue and is easily visible during the day. The glare is minimized with the coating. One of the biggest criticisms that I have been seeing is the resolution. The max resolution is 3440 x 1440. While this does not sound too bad, the pixel density of 3440 x 1440 on a 45 inch display is equivalent to a 1080p 27 inch monitor. I really thought that I would not notice but it really is noticeable, especially with text and productivity use. However, with gaming it really isn't an issue and the other aspects of the monitor make up for it. Also, unless you have a 2000$ graphics card, it really would be impossible to hit 240 Hz with higher resolutions. It would also mean an even higher price tag.
All in all, the LG UltraGear 45 inch OLED monitor does what it is meant to do extremely well: gaming. Gaming is an absolute blast with this monitor.

Good ear and nose trimmer

The Manscaped Ear and Nose Trimmer is a good essential item for anyone trying to stay well groomed.
It certainly looked very compact and sleek out of the box. The build quality isn't anything special but hey its a ear and nose trimmer. I will say I have some concerns about how long it will last because the sound of the motor has already changed after a couple uses even after cleaning the blade. The blade is removable and they recommend you replace every 3 months for hygiene and optimal effectiveness. They do recommend you fully charge before first use. It comes with a USB-C charger which I appreciate. It recommends you charge for 8 hours. Other than keeping the trimmer plugged in for 8 hours, I am not sure how you know it is fully charged. The LED just stays solid the entire time. There is no blinking during charging or anything like that.
In terms of how well it works, it works well. It takes a few more passes than you would think to really get it nice and trim. It also doesn't seem to do well with individual hairs. It is definitely not the most aggressive trimmer I have used and sometimes feel underpowered. That being said, the more aggressive ones I have used have pulled hair and caused pain but I have not experienced it with this one.
All in all, it is a decent nose trimmer. It does what you want it to do. It is not the best cutting trimmer out there but it is gentle. There are some concerns about the longevity of the device and not just in terms of needing a blade replacement but only time will tell.

Good camera for added security

Swann has a good track in my opinion for home security surveillance. I have used alot of their products in the past and will probably continue to do so. I had a small open area of my front lawn that I wanted to monitor. I thought this Swann Outdoor Floodlight 4K Security Camera would be the perfect thing as well as provide some deterrence with the floodlight or give me some extra lighting when I am out in the dark.
Physically setting it up does require some professional knowledge! I had my electrician help me out as it does need AC power running into it. After it is physically setup, getting started was fairly easy. To be honest, I was able to just add it to my existing setup which saved me alot of time. If this is your first or only device that needs to be setup, I recall it still being very simple to setup. Video quality was good. Daytime quality was great for its price point. The night-time quality was a little lacking in my opinion but I thought it was ok. While there is technically two-way audio, I really would not use it for any communication like a Ring. I liked the bright floodlights and it fulfills my needs. You can customize how bright you want it to be and even control some aspects of the motion detection which I like alot.
All in all, I think it is a good overall surveillance camera.

More data protection is never bad

So it wasn't until I actually had information stolen, that I started to take data protection and identity theft protection seriously. Any and all levels of protection is good. McAfee has a good track record when it comes to security.
The McAfee+ is their new top-of-the-line security software as well as adding identity theft protection. I think it provides a great all-around package. Setup is straightforward. As with all products these days, it does require an account or the creation of one if you do not have one. I really am not a fan of this but what can you do. It provides personal data cleanup, credit monitoring, identity restoration (in the event that actual damage is done after identity theft), unlimited bandwidth VPN, as well as unlimited installations on your family's devices.
All in all, the McAfee+ Premium is an all-around package that covers unlimited devices in the family. It provides good antivirus as well as identity theft protection if your personal information does get stolen.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A good level of protection in today's world

So I will start off by saying I already have had by personal info stolen and used. Ever since then, I have been very vigilant. After having gone through that, I can say that any protection you can get is worth it. Lifelock is a very reputable company and I was excited to try this product.
The Lifelock identify advisor is very basic but one that I think provides a level of protection that will benefit virtually anybody who uses the internet. It is very simple and easy to use. You just enter your basic personal information and it will monitor those things. You add emails, addresses, phone numbers, cards, bank info. It will see if there is any leaked data and what you can do. I think with all of these tools, you must also have the drive to actively protect your information. Sure, this will identify leaked info but you have to be the one to change passwords, etc. These are monitoring tools and are not a replacement or one-stop shop to prevent identify theft.
All in all, this is another good tool to help prevent identity theft. It is not all-encompassing but can definitely benefit everyone.
