Best Mouse you can get for Productivity

Great Mouse for productivity. Some of my favorite features are:
1. Main scroll wheel - Button behind scroll wheel switches from wheel from individual clicks to free scrolling. Great when trying to move through large documents or long web pages.
2. I love the ability to switch between up to 3 devices by simply pressing a button on the bottom of the mouse, this is truly fantastic. At home I will use this between my laptop and desktop.
3. Secondary scroll wheel on the side is configurable, default is horizontal scroll. Is great when working with large images.
4. Gesture button is a feature I have never had on a mouse before and it is also very useful. A single press bring up the application switcher, Holding it down and moving down, shows the desktop, holding it down and moving left or right organizes your selected window. Great when you have a cluttered desktop screen.
5. Tracking is excellent on all surfaces I have tried including my pant leg, wood desk top, mouse pad, white reflective cardboard surface, and even glass!
6. Aesthetics and ergonomics are also top rate. There is no way to look at this mouse and not see that it is premium product. It is also very comfortable in the hand, perhaps heavier than the wired mouse it is replacing, but still not at all cumbersome.

I have always used Logitech mice and keyboards, because their products are simply the best, and this mouse continues that tradition.

Cleans well, tough in tight corners and leaks

Overall, we like the this powered mop. It cleans much better than our non-powered spray mop, but it has a few problems that keep it from completely replacing it. First the good stuff:
When it is plugged in and powered on the mop is very easy to move across the floor, it almost feels like it is hovering thanks to the spinning motion of the pads.
Most importantly, it cleans very well. We have only used the included multi-surface cleaner so far and have not tried the hardwood floor cleaner that you can purchase separately yet. We have solid maple hardwood floors with a medium color stain and have had some problems getting them completely streak free with our standard spray mop and microfiber pad. With the Bissell Spin Wave, not a single streak left behind. Previously, we could only get the floors this clean if we were on our hands and knees, so the mop will definitely save use considerable cleaning effort in the future.
The mop also has a small footprint and stored easily in our broom closet where we also keep our central vacuum cleaner hose and accessories.
Now for the things we didn't like so much. Because the pads are round, you cannot get right into the corners of your floor. Also, the size of the head makes it difficult to get in the tight places in our home where our spray mop can easily reach. The spray mop is also cordless which makes it easier to maneuver as well.
The other big issue we are having is that our mop leaks! The leak isn't huge, just a few drips here and there. We found videos on-line suggesting that the cleaning solution bottle cap may not be tightened enough or may be damaged, but after checking all this and making sure we heard a good click when we place the bottle in the mop, it still leaks. So for now, we just keep the bottle out of the mop when we store it and we have an old towel under the mop as well so it doesn't drip all over broom closet floor.
So I think our non-powered spray mop will still be our go to for our weekly floor washing, but the Bissell Spinwave will come in handy for those times we really need to get the floor looking it's best, and will save us from having to be on our hands and knees to do so.

My First Smart Switch

This is the first smart switch that I have installed in my home. First, what I liked:
Switch itself is pretty modern and slick looking. Manual controls are intuitive, you can slide your finger to dim/brighten the lights or just hold your finger at your desired brightness level for a second to go there instantly.
Dimmer Feature is great! It allows you to set up a time range when you can use a reduced brightness - typically evening and morning work for me.
App is pretty easy to set up and connect to your switch and has a pretty intuitive interface. Turning the light on and off from the app is instant - I was expecting a bit of lag, but there really is almost none at all, same with using the dimming feature on the app.

My main gripe is that I was hoping that voice control would be easier to set up. It seems that you need Alexa or Google home to set up voice control on this. Although this is not an issue with the switch, it took a bit of time for me to find a brand of LED bulbs that were not buzzing when connected to a dimmer. This is a common problem with LED bulbs and dimmers though, so like I said, it is more of a bulb issue and not an issue with the switch.

360 degrees of Sound from Bose

This is the first speaker I have ever used that emits sound in all directions equally. After using for a while and playing with the app, I am very impressed with the ease of use, sound quality and portability of the speaker.
Overall build quality - Coming in at around 6" tall, the speaker is easy to pick up and take with you wherever you are going, but has just the right amount of weight to not feel cheap. Like most Bose products, this speaker sticks with the Bose design philosophy with minimalistic styling so as not to be too intrusive in the room it is placed in. One interesting design feature is the included tripod mounting hole on the bottom of the speaker. This definitely allows for a lot of flexibility on where you can place this speaker in a room as you are not limited by where your tables, shelves, etc... happen to be located. However, I am guessing this is more for when you are having a party or if you are taking the speaker with you somewhere because I don't think most people are going to want to have a tripod mounted speaker as a permanent fixture in their homes.
Sound Quality - For it's size the sounds quality is very good. The speaker is able to get very loud without noticeable distortion. Bass leaves a bit to be desired but, again, is decent considering the size. This speaker can easily fill a large room with high fidelity sound.
App and Ease of Use - When the speaker is turned on, it will automatically pair with any devices it can find that it has paired with in the past - it will pair with up to 2 devices at the same time. If it does not find a recognized devices to pair with, it will immediately go into pairing mode. This is a very nice feature as you do not need to hold down any buttons for long periods of time to initiate pairing mode. The app is also well designed and shows which Bose product you are managing, which devices are connected to the speaker and allows you to disconnect devices as well. Volume can be controlled with buttons on the top of the speaker, or via the app as well. I personally prefer to use the app as it is easy to tell what the volume level is based on the slider position and percentage indicator. If you are playing music from the phone running the app, you can also see what track is being played and skip back and forth between tracks all within the Bose connect app.
Bose's specialty has always been big high quality sound in a small package, and I think they used their audio engineering expertise to achieve a true 360 degree speaker that can fill a room with sound without any dead zones. This is a clear advantage over most other Bluetooth speakers out there.

Great Accessory if your speaker will travel a lot

I am not sure what the pricing on this accessory will be so it's hard to really make a judgement on it's value. Basically, it is a charging cradle that allows you to just set the speaker on top of it to charge instead of having to plug/unplug the micro-USB cable from the speaker directly. I think it is a great accessory if:
1. You often take your Bose Revolve speaker with you when you leave your home.
2. You often move your speaker between rooms in your home.
3. If the place where you want to put your speaker is not close to a power outlet.

For convenience, it is definitely better than having to unplug the USB cable and then plug it back in when the battery runs down. When you want to move the speaker, you can just pick it up and go.
Build quality is nice, has some weight, but not too much and anti-slip pads on the bottom keep it in place. The bottom is metal, the top surface is plastic. To top surface is also keyed with a raised round feature that matches a round groove on the bottom of the Revolve speaker so that you don't have to fumble around to line up the speaker with the charging pins.
It is a well designed accessory that not everyone will need, but is handy if the portability of the speaker is important to you.

Great Headphones for Long Flights!

Held my review back a bit until I had a chance to use these on a flight.
I have to say this is the best noise cancelling performance I have experienced. The difference between having it on and off is staggering. I was sitting right beside the wing where the engines were located on my flight. With Noise Cancelling off, the rumble was so loud, I could barely hear the music and movies I was listening to. When I tuned on noise cancelling, the jet engine noise was completely gone and only a bit of the higher frequency noise remained - I think pretty much all noise cancelling headphones work mainly on low frequency noise. With noise cancelling off and some soft music playing I was able to sleep for 3 hours on a 4 hour flight.
Other nice things about the noise cancelling:
1. On these headphones, there is not any extra hiss when noise cancelling is turned on, it is silent. Other noise cancelling phones I've used often have a slight hiss if you are using noise cancelling but not playing anything through them.
2. Also, Other noise cancelling headphones increase the volume when noise cancelling is on, perhaps to increase the perceived effect of the noise cancelling. These do not do that either.

Extra Bass effect - I wasn't sure I would care either way about this feature, but I actually like it. I think this is really a personal preference though whether you want the bass enhanced for your music or not.
App - minimalist, allows you to choose between a handful of effects like concert hall, arena, etc... In the end I think my music sounds richer and more full with these effects turned off. App also allows you to turn on/off noise cancelling and control the amount of bass enhancement you are using (on a scale from -10 to + 10). It also shows general information - Head phone model number, picture and battery level.
General sound quality is also great for both music and movies. Sound is rich and full, does not feel like any part of the frequency range was compromised. Dialog in movies was clear as well as sound FX, very immersive. Volume range also has no issues, can make this very quiet and or very loud.
Form - I really like the simple minimalist design here. All the buttons have a different feel so it is easy to find them without having to take your headphones off - The power button is slightly recessed, the bass effect button is slightly raised and longer in length, the noise cancelling button is round and bumped out. The volume rockers has a bump on + direction and the next/previous track button is a slider.
Fit - These fit my head and ears really well. The cups cover my ears completely and the ample cushioning on them makes them comfortable to wear for hours. The cups themselves swivel and extend down from the head band to adjust for different sized heads. I did not have any issues keeping these on for 4+ hours.
Battery life and blue tooth - Battery life seems to be as advertised, even with noise cancelling and extra bass turned on over the 6 hours of use, the battery level only fell about 25% or so. I did not use NFC, but used Bluetooth without any issues. Range is over 30 feet (I haven't tested any further so far).
In any case, these are the best headphones I've ever owned.

Fast Speed, Awesome coverage, No Advanced Setup

Like many others, I have to agree that as far as speed and coverage go, this router is second to none. Mesh network technology using all three nodes is fantastic at covering my 4400 Sq. Ft (spread between basement and main floor) ranch bungalow. I also get great coverage outside my home now on the deck and even about 100 feet away from my house, I can still stay connected with good (not great) speed. I am using this to replace a single AC1900 router that was placed in the basement. I also really like that fact that is automatically switches between 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz without showing separate networks. With my past router, I had 4 networks show up - 2.4 and 5.0 GHz for us, and 2.4 and 5.0 GHz for Guests. Now, there is only 2 networks, normal and guest - much cleaner in my opinion and save me having to explain the difference to most of the guests that try log on.
Setup is pretty easy using the android app, however I am accustomed to having a web interface to configure my past routers and it is definitely noticeable that this is missing. It is also missing advanced features like VPN setup and some other things that aren't as important to me.
I also have to say this is probably the nicest packaging on a router that I have ever see as well, and even the nodes themselves look more like Bluetooth speakers than like routers. So, big kudos to Linksys on overall styling and presentation.
Great router, expensive, but is a simple solution for that will work for 95% or more of users out there - including me.

Great Coffee Machine for Anyone

I am not much of a regular coffee drinker, but I enjoy the specialty beverages like flavored lattes and blended ice drinks (i.e. Frappuccino) from time to time. I didn't think it would be economical to buy a machine (or multiple machines) that would be able to make these high end drinks at home. However, the Ninja Coffee bar is great and makes all this possible for a reasonable price!
The key is it's "Specialty Brew" option. With 4 tablespoons of ground coffee, the machine can brew 4 oz of concentrated coffee that can be mixed/layered with milk, frothed milk, ice, or blended with ice and what every flavor you like. The included recipe book and website have a bunch of recipes that are great on their own, but you can modify them to your taste as well. The included frother works great as well. One tip is to make sure you milk is very hot before frothing, as the frothing process will cool it significantly as air is incorporated into the milk.
So far I have made a mocha latte and a pumpkin spice latte. Both have been equivalent to what I have received in cafes, but at a fraction of the cost. I will try to do a blended mocha drink next - my own homemade mocha Frappuccino.
I am looking forward to trying many new recipes over the next few weeks, but my initial impressions leave me confident that I will be enjoying many more delicious drinks in the future thanks to this machine.

Great Trimmer, Definitely not for a clean shave

First off, I received this product for free for my honest review. This is actually the first body hair groomer I have ever used. I've used a Philips Electric Shaver in the past with good results and was excited to try this product out.
Initial impressions, the product itself is nice looking and has a premium feel. The weight and balance are good so that it is comfortable to use and does not lead to wrist fatigue. The initial charge took around 1 hour - which is pretty reasonable considering the charge is supposed to last for 60 minutes as well.
Upon turning on, it is about as loud as you would expect it to be, slightly more noisy than my electric shaver and less noisy than the hair clippers used in professional salons.
I used the metal guard trimmer first on my face with about 3 days of growth from my last clean shave. It really didn't make a noticeable difference to the stubble. I know this is not a product meant for a clean shave, but I wanted to see how close it would be able to get. I definitely need to keep my shaver.
Next, I tried the nose trimmer, it worked quite well at trimming the hairs near the nostril openings with little effort. Maybe about 30 seconds per nostril, and I was done.
Next onto the body comb. I shaved my chest and under my arms for the first time ever. Fairly even cutting and very comfortable. Not a single time did I feel a hair pull or any other irritation. It took a bit longer than I expected, many passes were needed, but, like I said, it was also my first time shaving these areas. I shaved over the sink, but I think I would shave in the shower next time as the hair does go everywhere.
The leather bag is also nice and holds the shaver, charger, and all attachments with a fair bit of room to spare. May be large enough to carry your other toiletries for short trips.
Overall, as a person who has never shaved any part of my body except my face, I think I like this product enough to continue using it to keep my body hair from getting too out of control - especially the chest, stomach, under the arms and in the nostrils.

They will cancel noise whether or not they are connected to anything as long as they haven't run out of battery.

Hi, I just read that these headphones should be charged thru a booted computer. Does that mean I can’t use a wall charger for this? I’m a frequent traveler and I don’t always a laptop or pc around. Can I not just plug it in thru a wall adapter?
You can use a wall charger to charge. This is how I charge mine.

Can these headphones work as noise cancelling without having to be connected to the phone (like the Bose)?
Yes, noise cancelling turns on whether or not Bluetooth is connected. It turns on by default when you power on the headphones and there is a button to toggle it on/off.

Does the quick attention mode turn on when you rest your head against the the side of the airplane or headrest ? If so, can this feature be turned off ?
No, it seems to need your hand (or something conductive - similar to a touch screen).
