Great system, Extremely easy to set up

Great system, very easy to set up and configure. Once you download the Nest App and setup an account (using e-mail address and password), you can add devices by simply scanning the QR codes on the Nest Guard, Nest Detects and Nest Tags.
Overall design is very slick from the use of different color LED rings for status to minimalist design philosophy to not be intrusive in your home.
The Nest Guard - This is the Hub of the whole system. From here (or from your phone) you can set the system to Home, Away or unarmed. In home mode, the motion detectors are disabled so you can move around the home, but if a window or door is opened that is equipped with a Nest Detect, the alarm will still be triggered. The away mode is the same as the home mode except detected motion will also trigger the alarm. The Nest Detect devices (if placed on a door) and the Nest Guard itself both have motion detection. The Nest Guard device is meant to be placed on a table or shelf where you normally enter the home.
The Nest Detect - the kit includes 2 of these devices. These are pretty versatile and can be placed on doors, windows or the wall. They have simple adhesive strips for installation. If they are placed on the wall or doors, they have motion sensing up to 15 ft away. This makes is easy to detect unauthorized activity over a large area without having to have magnets on every window or door.
The Nest Tag - the kit includes 2 of these Key fobs and allow for disarming the system with a simple tap of the tag on the guard unit. One issue I have with this is that the guard unit is meant to be placed where you enter the home, however, for me and I imagine many other people, this is also where I drop my keys off. So if an unauthorized person enters the home, they could easily grab my keys and disable the alarm. So I am debating if I will actually be able to use the Key Fobs and may opt to use a pin code every time instead.
It's great that this integrates with other nest products, especially their cameras. As I use this more and decide whether or not it is going to be my final home security solution, I will likely invest in one or more of the cameras as well.
Top marks for ease of set up and use, but not sure the convenience of the tags is worth the compromise in security.

Big and Powerful, Easy to Clean!

This is the first "high end" blender I have ever had and I must say it is totally worth it. Great performance and features.
Appearance and construction - the blender has a premium look to it and looks to be quality made. It is lightweight as well, making it much easier to handle than it's size would suggest. The pitcher and blade are 1 piece, making it easier to deal with and less prone to leaking compared to less expensive blenders where the blade separates from the jug and a gasket is needed between the two for form a seal.
Operation - When you plug it in and turn it on, a menu appears for you to select the kind of blending you wish to do (soup, ice cream, dips/salsa, etc...). Simply turn the knob to what you need an press start - a timer in the corner indicates how long is left in the blending cycle. This takes all the guesswork out of what to do when you are blending, and it is very easy and intuitive to use. During a cycle, the blender will slow/stop to allow the mixture to settle back down towards the blades, then it will resume - smoothie came out perfect! You can also switch to manual with a press of a button, or use a timer.
Blending performance - Great, but this is expected, Ninja has always been known for making great blenders. I love the 72 oz capacity of this blender, it is much larger than the old one it is replacing.
Clean up - the clean cycle on this blender may be it's most innovative feature. Fill warm water to the Clean line on the pitcher and add 2 drops of soap. Press clean then start and watch it go. During the 30 second cycle you will see the soapy water shoot all the way to the top of the pitcher cleaning the lid as well as all the pitcher walls and of course the blades. Once it's done, a quick rinse of the pitcher and lid to get rid of the soapy water and you're done. Works perfect and full clean up takes about 2 minutes.
Only downside to this blender is that when it is at high speeds, it is very loud - too loud to really hear anything else. But, the pre-programmed cycles are all less than 1.5 minutes, so it is not loud for too long.
Overall, despite the noise, I still give this 5 stars, as I am sure the 1500W of power available and the relatively short blending cycles that it uses justifies the loud noise. It is just an over all great blender, incredibly easy to use and easier to clean than any other blender on the market.

Great Hand blender, lots of power

I have only used this once so far to make hummus using the included recipe. The hummus came out great, nice and smooth.
It blends very well, as good as some full size blenders and the variable speed trigger is easy and intuitive to use. The deeper you press, the faster the speed.
The blender head is very easy to install and remove, very little pressure is needed to install the head onto the handle, but it still stays secure when in use. A simple press of the release button releases the head for cleaning. The fact that the blender head releases from the handle, also makes cleaning very easy. This is not dishwasher safe, but it cleans easily this soap and water.
The availability of attachments also gives this unit the potential to replace a number of other small appliances in your kitchen as well, such as the hand mixer or chopper.
1 star is subtracted because if you are blending something that is not very liquid, like hummus or a paste of some kind, quite a bit of it will get trapped behind the blade in large cavity at the head of the blender. Many hand blenders have this same issue. A plastic knife easily cleans out all this material so it is not too big a deal, just an extra step. I say plastic knife instead of your finger because the blades are very sharp!
Overall, a great hand blender, a big upgrade in power and ease of use and cleaning from our old one.

Just Amazing - Best NC Headphones Ever Used

As far as Noise cancelling headphones go, these are second to none. After trying out many sets of noise cancelling headphones over the past couple years, I can easily say that these are the best overall.
First, the design. Minimalist, but they definitely have a premium feel. Ear cups are very comfortable for long listening sessions and backs of the ear cups have a texture almost like leather. Head strap is cushioned and easily adjustable as well. Headphones fold up for compact transport and a hard carrying case is included as well.
Noise cancelling is as good or better than any other pair of headphones out there. Sony has made the noise cancelling level completely adjustable via the Sony app, so when you want to have some awareness of what is happening around you, you can without removing your headphones. The most innovative feature is the ability to cover the right ear cup with your hand which turns down the volume of what your are listening too and uses the mics to allow you to hear what is going on around you. This is especially useful if you want to have a brief conversation without having to take off your earphones - for example if you are getting a drink on a flight.
There is also a noise cancelling optimizer built in to calibrate noise cancelling for how you are wearing your headphones and for air pressure.
Control is also very innovative. There are only 2 physical buttons on the head set, one for power and another one that controls noise cancelling. The rest of the control is performed via swipes and taps on the right earcup. Play/pause is done by a double tap on the right earcup, next or previous track is done by a swipe forward or backward on the right earcup, volume up/down is done by a swipe up or down on the right earcup. Double tap also used to answer and end calls. After you get used to this, it becomes very intuitive. You can also issue a voice command to google assistant (on android devices) by tapping 1 finger on the right earcup for 3 seconds.
Finally, sound quality is fantastic. The app has many options to optimize the equalizer for your taste, but even the default sounds great. No distortion even at high volumes, clear sound, lows and highs all sound great.
For wireless noise cancelling headphones, I don't think you can do better than these right now, they are totally worth it.

Great Cordless Shaver, Close and Comfortable

This is the second and best cordless shaver I have used in my lifetime and it performs very well. Very close and very comfortable. Does not require any shaving cream for a comfortable shave either.
The included trimmer is perfect for evening out my sideburns and is very easy to interchange with the rotary head.
I removed 1 star because although this is the closest shave I have every gotten with an electric shaver, like all cordless shavers, for me this does not get as close as standard razor with disposable heads.

Easy to use and effective

I don't have any pets but I tried this to remove some old stains from some outdoor seat cushions and some rugs. In both cases this was fairly effective, especially considering these stains were months old or more.
The cordless cleaner is lightweight and easy to use. All components that come in contact with dirt or liquid are easily detachable making it simple to clean just by rinsing the parts under water.
Charging time is about 5 hours for about 15 minutes of use, so this isn't something you can really use for long periods at a time, but for it's stated purpose of spot/stain removal, 15 minutes of run time is fine.
Overall a great stain cleaning tool that will find plenty of use in my home.

Superb Sound and Best In Class Noise Cancellation

One of the biggest improvements is the ability to control the amount of noise cancelling via the Bose Connect app or via the new action button. This makes it easy to reduce noise cancelling when you want to be able to have some awareness of the sounds in your environment, but don't want to keep pulling your headphones off over and over again.
The most important new feature in these headphones, however, is the integration of Google assistant. When you press and hold the new action button, you can begin to give commands to your connected device. Just a few examples of this: "OK Google, Play Music or Call Home, or Read my text messages" etc... There are many, many possibilities and this really increases what you can do without having to pull out your phone.
Design and comfort are as expected, fantastic. Earcups are very soft and I experienced no fatigue or discomfort after usage for a few hours. The overall build quality is excellent, and see to be built to last.

Easy setup, Cloud Access, Ethernes Access is slow

This is the first cloud drive I have owned and it is quite a nice device. Setup is very simple:
1. Plug it in, power and Ethernet.
2.Wait about 10 minutes in case there are updates, then download the app on your phone.
That's it!
When you run the app for this first time, you need to create a my cloud account and you can chose to autobackup your phones photos and videos. This only applies to items in your phones's camera folder it seems but you can manually upload other files/folders as well. However, it does not seem that you can sync (autobackup) any other folders on your phone to the cloud drive. This is a strange omission in the app and it is very surprising that there is not an easy way to do this as it is obviously useful.
Onto the desktop app. Once installed and after you sign in the cloud drive appears as an icon and as a new hard drive on the PC. Adding files is as simple as dragging and dropping - Here again, WD did not include any free sync software to automatically back up selected desktop folders to the drive. Luckily, in the PC world there are many options out there for this and even some of the free ones are fine depending on what you need to do.
Sharing is easy both from the mobile app or the PC, you can create a link to a file or folder to send to anyone you wish to share the content with.
One other issue is that even over a gigabit Ethernet connection, copying files to the drive from the desktop was very slow, about 1/10th of the speed I get when copying from PC to PC over the same network. I can't think of a good reason for this to be so slow. The drive provides a USB 3 port as well, so you can speed up your initial back up using this.
So, overall, if your primary purpose is to be able to upload your photos and videos and share them easily, this drive is a great choice. But it is not a good comprehensive back up / sync for your phone, and you will need additional software to make it a full back up solution for your PC.

Sounds Great, but Has Issues

First off, let's start off by saying these headphones do sound good, clear and well balanced. But at this price point, that is really the minimum expectation here. For the issues:
1. Noise cancelling could be better. I tested while mowing my lawn on my riding mower, and these did not cancel as much noise as another cheaper pair of noise cancelling headphones that I have. Also, I am not sure how useful being able to control the amount of noise cancelling really is for me. When I use noise cancelling, I use it so I can block out everything, not so I can block out "almost" everything.
2. Controls on the headset are really lacking and are hard to find without taking it off. All the buttons feel the same, so it is difficult to know what you are doing without taking the headset off and you only seem to have the ability to pause and change volume from the headset itself.
Other good points are: These are very comfortable, you could easily where these for a long time if you had to. The included hard case is nice for travel.
If these headphones cost about $100 less, I'd give them a better rating, but for price, it is really hard to excuse it's drawbacks.

Great speaker when you need it Loud!

This is a fantastic speaker for outdoor use. One of the big problems with your typical smaller Bluetooth speaker is that it can't get loud enough in an outdoor setting with many people around. That is definitely not a problem with the Nyne Rock speaker.
What I like:
1. Slick Rugged Design - really is what a boombox designed for the year 2017 should look like. Has a substantial weight, but can still be lifted with one hand using the hidden handle in the back of the unit. Does not feel like it is something that can be easily broken with the rubberized frame. Also, the water resistant IPX3 rating means you don't need to worry about incidental exposure to water from light rain or spills/splashes. All the connections are hidden behind a panel at the back, which keeps the overall look very clean when you are using it wirelessly.
2. Sound - Is great, only get slightly distorted at max volume, but max volume is so loud I would never use it anyways. Good bass and clarity. But the real highlight for this speaker above all others is volume. No other Bluetooth speaker I have tried comes close.
3. Bluetooth connectivity is as simple as it can be, automatically goes into pairing mode when turned on, and you just need to select the device from your phone or tablet and you're done.
4. Battery life of 10 hours - I haven't tested this myself, but if it can last close to this long with the amount of power it is able to put out, that is very good. You can definitely find smaller speakers that can last longer, but with 65W of power, you can't really beat this.

I can't really think of anything that I don't like about this speaker. If you are using as intended, to fill an outdoor space with music, you won't be disappointed. It is a very big speaker, much bigger than I expected, but once you hear how loud it can go, you understand why it is so big.

They will cancel noise whether or not they are connected to anything as long as they haven't run out of battery.

Hi, I just read that these headphones should be charged thru a booted computer. Does that mean I can’t use a wall charger for this? I’m a frequent traveler and I don’t always a laptop or pc around. Can I not just plug it in thru a wall adapter?
You can use a wall charger to charge. This is how I charge mine.

Can these headphones work as noise cancelling without having to be connected to the phone (like the Bose)?
Yes, noise cancelling turns on whether or not Bluetooth is connected. It turns on by default when you power on the headphones and there is a button to toggle it on/off.

Let’s say the battery dies and I connect with a wire. Will noise cancelling work? I know Bose QC35 will provide a sound but no noise cancelling on that case. What about Sony?
Noise cancelling requires power, so I would imaging the noise cancelling turns of as well.

Does the quick attention mode turn on when you rest your head against the the side of the airplane or headrest ? If so, can this feature be turned off ?
No, it seems to need your hand (or something conductive - similar to a touch screen).
