This is the set that fans of the classic TV sitcom The Mary Tyler Moore Show have been waiting for. Season six has what many consider to be the best episode of the series and some would argue the best sitcom episode of all time. While it doesn't top my list of either one, it is certainly funny.
I'm talking, of course, about "Chuckles Bites the Dust." This episode takes black comedy to an art form when Chuckles the Clown, a character we've only seen once but heard mentioned more than that dies rather unexpectedly. He is leading a circus parade as a peanut and gets squashed by an excited elephant. The jokes the characters tell are downright funny. I laugh almost as hard as the studio audience every time I see it.
But I'm getting ahead of myself. Not that this classic needs much in the way of an introduction. By season six, the show pretty much revolves around the work life of Mary Richards (Mary Tyler Moore) since her two friends outside of work have now moved out of town (and to their own sitcoms). She's the producer of the six o'clock news at WJM in Minneapolis. She, her boss Lou Grant (Ed Asner), and the news writer Murray Slaughter (Gavin MacLeod) have to put up with the bumblings of their arrogant anchor, Ted Baxter (Ted Knight). Recurring this season are Ted's girlfriend Georgette (Georgia Engel) and happy homemaker (think a 70's Martha Stewart) Sue Ann Nivens (Betty White).
All twenty-four episodes from the final season of the award-winning sitcom The Mary Tyler Moore Show are collected here, a set of shows highlighted by the series' finale that many consider the finest farewell episode in television history.

I never did get to finish collecting THE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW and Best Buy has given me the chance to finish. I always enjoyed Mary in the 1970's and watched her in the 1960's as Laura Petrie and was overjoyed to see a woman making her mark in what was always thought of as a man's world. No more of that! There now should be more shows like this even now. Come on Hollywood? Get with it? Let the Girls Come back...Get rid of the stupidity on TV and smart, intelligent shows.

Historically, we have had poor results when using generic inks. Typically the ink nozzels clog because we infrequently do any printing. Using factory branded inks we have never had this problem with extended use. As a result, we spend about 2/3 the cost of a brand new printer to purchase the branded inks. Thankfully, we do not need to print too often so staying with the branded inks makes more sense for us to extend the life of the printer.
While I'm sure this ink would have pleased Gutenburg, the price would have made him take a hammer to our inkjet and return to his press. Keep an eye on the price per milliter between the XL and standard cartridges. Currently the XL is priced at .81¢ per ml, and the standard is .79¢ per ml, so at these rates it is less expensive to purchase the standard cartridge. To calculate the price per ml, simply divided the total cost by the ml per cartridge, 15 ml for standard, and 22 ml for XL.
Enjoy professional-looking prints with this Canon 6513B001 251 black ink tank that is compatible with select Canon printers. ChromaLife100+ technology delivers long-lasting ink that resists smudging.

Might be the most expensive liquid on the planet per ounce but man I love printing me some papers at my house. I will continue to buy my own ink and stick it to the MAN until my printer goes to printer heaven. The MAN in this case being the rude guy at Fedex/Kinkos. Remember when it was called Kinkos? IT WAS DANG IT!

For starters, it seems that everyone I know is shocked when I tell them that this Alice in Wonderland is a sequel of sorts. At the age of 19 and about to be forced into marriage, this is Alice's second trip to Wonderland. I'm glad Tim Burton and his team came up with a new story that still featured all the great characters from the original source material. That's also where the weakest part of the movie lies. The dialogue given to the characters is great, but the script is razor thin. I think if more effort went into this particular aspect, I might have given it five stars.
I saw it in IMAX 3-D and the visuals are as grand and beautiful as you would expect from Burton. It's not quite as eye-popping as Avatar, which was shot completely in IMAX 3-D, whereas, Alice in Wonderland was upconverted (Clash of the Titans did the same thing to bad effect). The music by Danny Elfman is some of his best stuff in recent years and the costumes/makeup are top notch.
Aside from the look of film, the acting also makes it very memorable. There are so many well animated and voice acted characters running around I don't know where to begin. I guess I'll start with those made of flesh and blood. I didn't like Depp's take on Willy Wonka that much, and I'm a big fan of his, but his Mad Hatter is just the right amount of crazy. His voice goes back and forth from having a lisp to sounding like William Wallace from Braveheart. His look is so jarring, you probably wouldn't even know it was him if you somehow dodged all the advertisements before entering the theater. Helena Bonham Carter played the Red Queen brilliantly. I couldn't take my eyes off her giant head. Anne Hathaway really surprised me here (in a good way) with her take on the White Queen and it was nice to see Crispin Glover back on the big screen in a role that suited him. Last, but certainly not least, Mia Wasikowska was absolutely captivating as Alice. The way she talked and her reactions were just what the film needed in it's central role. All the digital animal characters were great, but my favorites were the Cheshire Cat, voice by Stephen Fry, and the March Hare voiced by Paul Whitehouse.
I'm somewhat surprised that the combination of violence and meanness, along with the smoking Blue Caterpillar didn't get this a PG-13 rating. It's not too harsh, but young kids might get a little freaked out.
Overall, Alice in Wonderland looks like a polished jewel, has great acting/voice acting, wonderful music and even manages to get quite a few laughs in the process. If only the simple story didn't let me down in the end, this could have been a classic in the making. Even still, I wouldn't mind Tim Burton taking us on another trip down the rabbit hole in a few years.

This was very creepy!! I think these films keep getting creepier. My wife and I saw this in the theater and it was so frightening, a young lady left the theater with her friend crying after screaming so loud.

There's an older movie that Homeward Bound was based on. It is called "The Incredible Journey." Some people say that movie is better, and maybe it is. I definitely intend to find out. I've seen some movies on Youtube, maybe it will be there. If it is, I'll definitely watch it.
The first Homeward Bound movie definitely had some touching moments. The most touching moment that gripped my heart was a scene at the end when the pets were almost home. These animals were excellent actors. The way they acted on the movie fit really well with their voice overs. The characters were wonderful in these movies.
"Sassy" the beautiful Himalayan cat, was a hilarious character in this movie, basically because of her sarcastic wit. She can also be very kind when she wants to be. Especially in the scene where the dog named Chance gets smacked in the face by the tail of a porcupine. (Ouch!) Sassy tries to get the Porcupine needles out of her friend with her teeth, but doesn't succeed because they are in too deep. Or when a young child was lost and scared, Sassy and the dogs kept the child warm until her parents found her.
"Shadow" is the name of the older dog. He's a Golden Retriever and he's very wise, and very loving, both with his animal friends, and his human friends.
"Chance" is an American Bulldog with a lot of energy and an insatiable curiosity about things that he never knew existed. His curiosity gets him into trouble, like when he wanted to sniff the porcupine. He also almost got in trouble with a huge bear, but ran away from it quickly enough to save himself.
In this film, there is a family that is combined by marriage. After the wedding, the family goes on a trip and they decide to leave the animals on a ranch with a friend of theirs. Shadow, the older dog, gets panicky because his family doesn't come back for him and the other two when he thinks they should, so he starts on a long journey back home and the other two follow him because they don't want to be left there. Along the way back home they meet with new adventures. They run into wild animals, and Sassy even survives a great big waterfall. This is a great movie to watch if you have a certain night where you spend time with your family. This movie has a lot of special moments. There are moments where you'll smile, as well as moments where you'll cry, because of the very touching, emotional aspects of it.
Homeward Bound 2 wasn't as good as the first one in my opinion. I liked it, but I think the first one had a better story, and it gripped my heart more.
This one is a little similar to the first one. The pets get lost again, but instead of being lost in nature, they get lost in a big city and they have to find their way home again, like in the first one. Along the way, they meet other dogs. Some of the dogs are friendly, and some are mean. The friendly ones try to help them find their way home and the mean ones want to eat Sassy. All the while, Shadow and Chance try to protect Sassy. There are other things that happen to them along the way. It's been a while since I've seen this one so I don't really remember everything. They do make it home eventually, like they did in the first one. Homeward bound 2 is a good adventure story, but it's a different kind of adventure than it's predecessor. I didn't see Homeward Bound 2 in theaters, but I bought this 2-in-1 movie DVD a while back. I've actually seen the first one a lot more times than the second one because we used to have the VHS version of the first when I was a kid. Both are good movies. The first one, though, was excellent.

This movie is criminally underrated. First of all, the film wasn't the flop people think it is. It did over 45 million at the box office. Okay, that settled, let's dig in. Three witches from the 1800's are hung for taking the souls out of children in Salem, Mass. Present day Salem, a lonely teen resurrects the three hags accidentally while visiting their old cottage that has turned into a mini museum. The witches, well cast and perfectly played by Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, set out on Halloween night to take the souls from the children as they trick or treat. The three lead actresses are perfect in their roles. They really bring them to life. This is a fun, light hearted film that the whole family can enjoy. The setting and decoration is perfect and has that great Halloween-y feel. There's also a funny cameo by Penny Marshall and Garry Marshall as husband and wife(but who are real life brother and sister in case you didn't know). This is a real great vehicle for Bette Midler. She fits perfectly. You'll also recognize Thora Birch(American Beauty)as the little sister. The film is a wonderful family treat that will delight and entertain the whole family.

I didn't realize there were flash drives this fast, and I couldn't pass up the price. The drive did not disappoint. It had a write speed of 188.2 MB/s, and read speed of 251.5 MB/s.
The build quality seems nice, and I'm sure it will serve me well.
