This is one of the best, in a cavalcade of great animated classics that Disney created. While the book itself was rather snarky and somewhat sarcastic, in the movie, Pinocchio was transformed from a sarcastic little brat into a creature who was often inveigled into large and costly errors because of his innocence. The fact that he didn't know any better was actually at times a saving grace as he and Jimminy Cricket found themselves in real danger, thanks to Honest John and his cohort, Gideon. Stromboli the puppet-master lived up to his name as the thundering conniving man who had enslaved Pinocchio into his service, and the chubby, cheerful, Coachman was a truly terrifying being that used the power of an island to turn bad boys into donkeys for profit, a clear warning that the face of evil isn't always an unpleasant one. Seeing the unfortunate Lampwick turning into a donkey was and still is a terrifying sight to this day as was the final confrontation Pinocchio had with Monstro the Whale, a huge creature capable of swallowing whole ships, in order to rescue his father, who had been looking for him, giving his all to become a real boy. This is one of the true gems in classic animation, and one not to be missed.....

We have been waiting a few years for Snow White and the seven dwarfs to get released from the Disney vault. When we receive this product it came in a very well protected package inside the package was our DVD which included the Blu-ray the DVD and the digital copy . This DVD had a protective sleeve over it when we received it to protect it from getting damaged. Definitely try to keep up on all the new Disney movies and the older classics that are slowly getting released from the vault and I have to say I absolutely love that they have a digital copy it makes it so easy to go on road trips and watch a movie and keep the kids entertained. definitely try to keep up on all the new Disney movies and the older classics that are slowly getting released from the vault and I have to say I absolutely love that they have a digital copy it makes it so easy to go on road trips and watch a movie and keep the kids entertained We have found that the digital copies are very easy to use on all devices we have Apple products and android products and have never had a problem with either. I would definitely recommend everybody get this before it goes back into the Disney vault and you're unable to get it for a few years this movie makes a great family night

I was so happy to find this on Amazon. I was merely searching for original "The Fox And The Hound" movie I had when my kids were young. Imagine my delight when I found this 2 dvd set with the sequel movie for the price I'd expect to pay for just one. I remembered "The Fox And The Hound" as a wonderful movie for children, and now I have it for my three year old grand-daughter. We both love it. We haven't watched the sequel yet but I imagine it will be just as sweet and age appropriate as the original movie. I couldn't recommend this set more highly for anyone with children who love the sweetness of young animals.

John Hughes' classic road picture is now 26 years old, so there's a good chance that if you're under 30 you may not have seen it. See it.
The movie is more or less perfect. Tiresome complications that wreck most comedies are avoided here by a minimalist cast of two and an almost non-plot: wealthy man from Chicago who commutes to New York wants to get home in time for Thanksgiving weekend, but along the way he picks up a shower curtain ring salesman who attaches to him like a mollusk to a rock. Fast start, followed by sequence upon sequence of ever increasing levels of disaster and hilarity. Even the lulls have forward motion that advances either character or the next futile attempt to reach Chicago. No longuers. No overly long monologues from characters trying to EXPLAIN themselves, which make the Hughes teen comedies a little embarrassing to watch. This is screenwriting at its most stringent.
Martin and Candy are two sides of the same coin: Both are in "sales and marketing". Despite the surface difference between glossy magazine layouts and shower curtain rings, the men essentially have the same job, and have to travel to do it. One side is insular, deeply competitive and at odds with a hostile world that must be "got through" in order to get home; the other side is gregarious and taking in the world with open arms with hardly a thought of getting back home. Their very difference is what makes them similar to one another. The result is a buddy picture that's funnier than almost all the rest, and yet more personal because we've got to know each man's internal contradictions so well. After about 1 hour and 20 minutes of mostly farcical situations, Hughes takes the last 5 minutes to sucker-punch us with an emotional and poignant finale.

As far as modern horror is concerned, this movie is excellent. Cliches are not as prevalent as in most "trying to but can't hit the mark," horror. In the vein of classic horror films, Lights Out is a suspenseful thriller that adds the perfect balance of the supernatural and psychological. The end is actually good, and quite original. Watch this with your significant other or dog. Not alone.

This fun movie has tons of cool plot twists and suspense. It makes fun of horror movies and horror conventions while also using brilliant story telling, and uses a group of vintage toys as a sort of team of specialists Ala mission impossible. Combat Carl, a name mentioned in Toy Story as their version of GI Joe, makes an appearance as a key character (Although eagle-eyed Pixar Nerds like me will notice the Combat Carl in this is black while the one in Toy Story is White. Obviously, like GI Joes, there are different versions of Combat Carl.) And the commercials included are amazing! I definately recommend watching it first with the commercials. As for the Shorts, it has Hawaiian Vacation, Small Fry, and one I haven't seen before: Partysaurus Rex, which is AWESOME in High Definition (you may want to turn your volume down in some spots. It gets pretty loud!) All in all, a fun time for and Pixar Nut or Toy Story fanatic. The biggest complaint I have is I wish they hadn't put the menu in black and white!!! Because the highlighted stuff is White and the unselected stuff is a whitish gray, it's hard to tell what you're selecting.
Based on the book Mathilda, by British children's author Roald Dahl, this film moves the setting from the U.K. to the U.S.; otherwise it follows the original closely. Mathilda Wormwood (Mara Wilson) is an extremely curious and intelligent young girl who is very different from her low-brow, mainstream parents (Danny DeVito and real-life wife Rhea Perlman), who quite cruelly ignore her. As she grows older, she begins to discover that she has telekinetic powers. Not until a teacher shows her kindness for the first time does she realize that she can use those powers to do something about her sufferings and help her friends as well. Villains from the awful Miss Trunchbull (Pam Ferris), headmistress of her miserable school Crunchem Hall, to her parents and older brother begin to feel her ire. Look for Paul Reubens (aka Pee Wee Herman) in a small part as an FBI agent investigating Mathilda's shady father.

This was such a cute, fun movie! We looked at box places, on here and on paid movie channels and could not find it anywhere! I was thrilled to find it here for such a great price! And the fact that it came so soon was a bonus! My girl is doing a dance to one of the songs in her theater class and wanted to see it - she loved it! The whole family sat and watched it together. It was a fun evening and at such a great price! thanks! We will probably watch it again in a few week

Just check your mind and political correctness at the door and enjoy this unrated over the top hilarious road trip/quest romp.
Seth Macfarlane has no boundaries and is an equal opportunity offender here and that said, my wife and I haven't laughed this hard at a movie in a while. Thoroughly enjoyed the big name star cameos and it looked like everyone had a great time just letting their hair down and making this very crude and well played gag fest sequil. No one should be surprised at what you get with Seth and Ted. Mark Wahlberg's timing for comedy is spot on here as well. If you didn't enjoy this, that's cool. There must be some Adam Sandler veal cutlet or a Jonah Hill insomnia cure that can put a smile on your face.
You know what they say about opinions and that goes for me too... Oh, and the BD looks and sounds great.. Check it out and enjoy!

Having grown up watching Disney movies, I was really excited to receive my favorite Disney movie on BluRay. The quality of the picture has been significantly upgraded, and you can see that while watching the special features.

Season 4 of MTM shows the 70's in full swing; Mary has bangs and a more natural hairstyle (no more falls like in Season 1) and no longer only wears skirts and dresses to work. Yes, for better or worse, this is the dawn of the wide-legged pantsuit. Can Mary pull it off? Of course she can!
Mary has redecorated her apartment and everything is beige, beige, beige; this could just be the camera filter but what a relief when the action switches to Rhoda's colorful digs upstairs. Sadly, this is also Valerie Harper's last season on MTM as Rhoda will have her eponymously-titled show the following season.
There are less establishing shots of the house Mary and Rhoda live in because it's obviously a different, and less charming, home. (The reason for this is explained on a documentary on the Season 2 set; the owner of the original home no longer wanted the house to be included on the show.) And the show now focuses most of its time on the workplace. As compared to earlier seasons, there are far fewer "Mary's romantic dilemma!" episodes and more time is given to Ted and Lou, while Murray still patiently sits at his desk delivering one-liners. And showing that things have come a long way, Mary spends less time at work making coffee for Lou and is a valuable asset to WJM and a competent careerwoman.
Season Four has any number of classic episodes: "The Dinner Party" featuring a young and very funny Henry Winkler, "The Lars Affair" which has a classic confrontation between Phyllis and Sue Ann and my personal favorite of the entire series, "Two Wrongs Don't Make a Writer" when Ted and Mary take a writing class together only to have Ted steal Mary's assignment. To try and describe this episode any more wouldn't do it justice, but it's a comedic high point and is one of the only times Mary really loses her cool. Another notable episode, "Cottage for Sale", starts off slowly but ends up a very good episode that showcases Edward Asner's Lou Grant at his vulnerable best -- and as the creator of the beer omelet.
The lack of extras is a bit disappointing, but otherwise this latest release of Mary and friends is just what we all need. Meow.
