Mulan: Disney's best movie since Aladdin and Eddie Murphy's Mushu is just as funny. Mulan manages to combine ancient tradition and 90's humour into a wonderful tale that will appeal to all age groups and surprisingly resolves a long standing gender issue. Highly recommended...too good to miss!
Mulan 2: Mulan 2 picks up a month after Mulan and Shang return. Mulan is widely known and loved as a hero, and is admired particularly by the local girls, who rightly see her as a role model. Mushu, meanwhile, is taking full advantage of his status as a hero, much to the disgust of Mulan's Ancestors, who must attend to his every whim. This is all about to change. The 'gang of three' are back to assist Mulan and Shang on a mission. They're all sent by the Emperor to escort his three daughters to marry princes of another kingdom, in order to form an alliance with that kingdom necessary to save China from an invasion. Things don't quite work out as they are supposed to; Mushu plays the heavy, attempting to break up Mulan and Shang to save his 'lifestyle'.
Overall, Mulan II is a fun ride, with a good story, great animation and a really nice score. The kids and adults will enjoy watching this movie.

Very Touching & Beautiful Movie

It's not often that a movie truly moves me to tears and when they do, they are unforgettable. This beautiful film should come with a warning to have tissues on hand. It is a sweet and heartbreaking romance and no, it doesn't have your typical happily ever after but that is what makes it so beautiful and sad. The acting is wonderful and there is plenty of humor and touching moments. Some people may be critical because it does address legalized assisted suicide but it's done so in a way that is realistic regarding terminally ill or severely incapacitated individuals. I loved both the movie and book but I should warn those who read the book but haven't seen the movie yet, there are plots and characters that didn't make it into the film - Will's sister is not a character in the film and the trauma that Louisa experienced is NOT in this film. But if you read the book, you will notice moments that allude to Louisa avoiding what happened in her past. It might have been an overwhelming film to include her plot - it worked better in the book.

Disney Renaissance, remastered on blu-ray!

You all know the story, basically a teenage Pocahontas meets John Smith and they realize their worlds aren't so different despite their backgrounds. A classic Disney movie of the renaissance, Pocahontas didn't "boom" quite as well as the other movies, but it is always a staple in my re-watching of Disney movies. I was happy to find that this version comes with the deleted song "If I Never Knew You," unfortunately Disney did not treat the scene the same as the "Human Again" sequence from Beauty and the Beast Diamond Edition, and rather made it a deleted scene. However, it's great to finally have the scene in its full entirety, with commentary from the animators on why it was removed.
I don't care much for the sequel, and haven't seen it in years. The main purpose of this purchase was a blu-ray copy of Pocahontas, because I was slowly recollecting Disney movies to add to my collection. Since I no longer own a VCR, or have my VHS's from my childhood, these movies are the only way I truly want to watch them. I could watch them online, but instead I desire to own them since I watch them so much.
Highly recommended to anyone who is a collector, or a Disney fan. Children will enjoy it, even if it's not historically accurate. It can be "historically" a part of any memory of what the Disney Renaissance was like.

After having purchased cheap $100 4k units I knew I had to ante up for quality. Getting into tech means a learning experiance and frequently a costly one.
This Samsung adds color depth and sharpness from recent blu rays. On Jurassic World the difference compared to my cheap 4k blu ray I used to have is astounding.
Samsung has done very well and the K8500 is well worth ever dime.

If you have sharp senses you will notice a difference between this and cheaper HDMI cables. There will always be naysayers who belittle products like this "All cables are the same, blah blah blah" but there is truly a difference and that difference is worth it if you want to get the most out of your home theater. There's a reason passionate audiophiles and visual fanatics obsess over cables, amplifiers, etc - it's because there is actually a perceptible difference that these can make to your set-up.
My eyes aren't as good as some visual connoisseurs but even my relatively untrained eyes noticed improvements visually - the picture simply felt better to look at, perhaps feeling more stable and consistent. Something I can strongly vouch for is the audio which is significantly better than other cables I've used. Just make sure you have them connected in the direction of the arrows on the plug (going from the media player to where the sounds coming from).
It's worth the price to make sure your home theater isn't being held-back by something as simple (and relatively inexpensive) as an HDMI cable. I highly recommend this for people who want to get the most out of their home theater.

Apple 85W MagSafe 2 power adapter for MacBook pro with retina display is an awesome and very efficient adapter. It is an unwritten fact that not all power adapters are the same because there are those are superior to others and fortunately this is one of the best adapters out there. The adapter goes for $79.00. This is an incredible price bearing in mind that the power adapter works as advertised. It is admittedly pricier than generic adapters but that shouldn’t make you shy away from making a purchase because you can be assured that the adapter will work. This is in contrast to the generics since you can never be sure whether or not they will work. Our house is not all spacious and this magnetic adapter’s DC connector ensures that my netbook is in place should someone trip on it and also weakening and fraying of the adapter will not be as serious/critical compared to a normal corded adapter. This is a worthy replacement adapter. Cords will fray more easily and quickly compared to this one. Cords can only handle so much and they will wear and tear at the slightest sign of pressure. This is a handy traveling buddy that is also compact. It is a no brainer that an orange light indicates charging and green indicates full charge. You don’t even need a manual to operate the adapter because everything about is pretty straightforward and I don’t foresee anyone getting frustrated because they can’t seem to correctly use the adapter. There is an AC cord if you need a longer cord. If this is not value for money then I don’t know what is. I believe I would buy this same adapter if the need for the same ever arose since I have already derived value for my money. I can’t talk about its durability but I know for sure that it won’t last forever. This is a given with all adapters eventually. The only difference between this adapter and the corded adapters is that the corded adapters wear off quickly compared to this one. It is a genuine product. Need I say more? Apple is a working horse in the computers stable and it shouldn’t come as a surprise that this adapter works as advertised. I don’t have a problem recommending this adapter to anyone looking for an affordable and quality adapter for their MacBook pro. Highly recommended!

This is the older newer remake of the movie and, in my opinion, it's the better one. I love the little Rascals. It's a great, clean family movie that stays true to the nature of the Rascals everyone knows and loves while updating the characters a bit and giving us another version of the Rascals to love as much as the others.

I am a fan! Definitely one of my top 10 go to movies for stay-at-home Fridays. It is not your typical so-serious kind of romance movies. I like happy endings and I also like that there is a third component to this movie. Typically the story line would be, we can't be in love, now we're in love, roll the credits. There were a lot of choices made in this movie but i think the most critical one was the choice made in the final 15 minutes. I like the book better but I do understand that details get lost in the movie adaptation. For good reason... obviously, time is an issue. I don't think I can have my hubby sit with me for more than 2 hours watching dreamy love stories.

Wreck-It Ralph, beyond anything else, was filled with imagination. The excitement and thrills that I remember from the movies that I grew up with were all there in the film. It was so refreshing to see such a beautifully constructed world, breathed into life by the brilliant imagineers at Disney. It did not take much past the title screen to fall into their world, and immediately find the truth in it. Disney takes many of the beloved video game characters, some everyone probably knows and some only select super fans will recognize, and throws them all into one video game universe. At first, this idea confused me. How would you combine the worlds of Nintendo and Sony or even Sega? Well, Disney waved their wand and made magic. Instead of combining all these characters into a compromised Mario realm or Sonic world, Disney creates a brand new world that welcomes new comers and old comers alike seamlessly.
As a kid raised on Disney, then grew away from Disney, and now coming to terms with what all Disney has taught me, I think I have viewed Disney in many different lights. Now, after watch Wreck-It Ralph, I'm back on board with Disney. They have such heart in their work, and Wreck-It Ralph is filled with important messages about love, acceptance, being yourself, and standing up for what's right. It touched me at 22 and it touched my family members that were 7 and 8. Even my parents enjoyed seeing some of their favorite video game characters from the 80s making cameos and being referenced throughout the film.
In all, Wreck-It Ralph is touching and sweet. It is very much Disney while staying current and up to date with the world. I recommend this film for anyone in need of a good laugh, a good cry, and a reminder that you are perfect just the way you are!

Went ahead with the blu-ray on this one, but I don't think it was necessary.
Classic Disney movie about a fox, Robin Hood and... well, I think we all know the storyline, though this one is animated, and told through animal characters. Keeps the attention of the kids and made them laugh. Very nostalgic for me as this was one of my childhood favorites! I'd wanted to share with my young kids and have them enjoy it too.
