Please don’t let the title of this review fool you into thinking this is not a good laptop. It is a good laptop, it just isn’t necessarily a top-of-the-line, fastest on the market, etc. laptop that very serious gamers would want to consider. It has some awesome tech built into it, but somehow the feel of it was off for me when it came to a true gaming experience. I think the main reason for that is I found the screen resolution/color to be disappointing. Things seemed almost washed out in comparison to my separate gaming monitor and just other computers and TVs I’ve used.
The other two items I found to be a bit lacking are not a huge deal when gaming IF you plan on using peripherals. The trackpad is a little finicky. Maybe it’s because I’m so used to touchscreens these days, but I felt like you had to push way too hard to get it to respond. That made it using it feel kind of “clunky”. The speakers aren’t terrific either, but I suppose most laptops don’t typically offer the best sound. However, I always use a separate mouse and almost always have headphones or a headset. If you plan to use these, the drawbacks of the trackpad and speakers basically go away.
Now, all of that aside, this is still an excellent laptop. It has a great processor, refresh rates are up to par, and although it can get loud, the cooling fans are pretty standard and I didn’t notice any lag. The big thing to consider here is the price point of this laptop. It’s tough to find a good gaming laptop at this price. So, although it’s not perfect and has room for improvement, it’s not a bad way to go for a new and/or causal gamer. It’s also a great laptop for everyday use (just be sure to get that separate mouse!)

I wanted to love this, but I really don’t feel like it’s up to par with other Sonicare products. I’ve had Sonicare products including my current power toothbrush that I really enjoy using and feel like truly do an exceptional job of keeping my teeth clean and healthy. However, I really don’t get that same sense of quality from this product.
It looks nice and is a good compact size, so that it doesn’t take up too much counter space. Set up was also super easy and was finished in seconds. I do like that, but to be honest, that’s where the the pros pretty much end for me. This product is called a power flosser, but it is a water pick. And it’s not a very powerful water pick. It has four cleaning modes, clean, deep clean, sensitive, and massage. To be honest these seem like nothing more than a marketing gimmick to me. For example, the deep clean mode simply pulses and produces less water. I found it an incredibly irritating setting to use because I felt like I had to keep going back over places to make sure I didn’t miss anything. The sensitive mode was even worse as it literally reduced the water pressure and then increased it back-and-forth. I suppose if you really are just trying to moisten your teeth (??), it’s useful, but otherwise not so much.
Lastly, you can adjust the water pressure settings so that it sprays harder. Although it goes from 1 to 10, I found that I had to have it set on 10 all the time to feel like it was at all effective and actually cleaning my teeth. I’ve had other water picks where you had to turn it down because it was almost too much pressure. I would rather have that so that I have options versus having to have it cranked up to the max all the time for it to even kind of work. There are better water picks out there and this was a miss for Sonicare in my opinion.

It’s been a long time since I’ve had a standalone scanner. I’ve been simply using the scanner that’s part of my printer. That’s nice for small jobs but it gets very tedious if you’ve got even five or more pages. I’m working on getting my home office plus all of my personal documents paperless wherever possible. This scanner actually made the task somewhat enjoyable (as much as scanning documents can be).
I had mortgage documents, tax returns, and a slew of other documents cluttering up my office. I was able to get them all scanned in to my home Mac computer in record time. The difference in speed plus the fact that it does in fact do front and back of the page is huge. I had no issues with initial set up or getting it to work with my Mac and haven’t looked back. It’s actually a lot smaller than I was expecting too. I thought I was going to have to get a different stand to hold the scanner and my printer, but this is small enough that they actually both still fit. My office is never looked better and I genuinely am looking forward to getting to use the scanner again.
On that note, I’m hoping to do pictures next. I tried a couple out and they came out beautifully, even some old Polaroids from the 90s. We’ve been going through a lot of old family photos lately, and I’d like to have digital versions to be able to share with other family members and just for easier and safer storage. This scanner is most definitely the answer to that. No complaints, just very happy overall.

This really is a very unique product in my opinion. I’ve had some very nice facials, including medical grade facials as well as peels. I have have to preface this by saying, that is not what this product does. I think I may have gone into using it initially with expectations that were unrealistic. Based on that I was initially unsure about it. However, after using it for several weeks, I have to say that it is a very cool experience and truly is a great skin care product.
I honestly wasn’t sure about having to control it through the app. I like a product that can be supplemented with an app but can operate on its own. The Foreo UFO does need to be used with the app. This is because each of the different masks you can get for it also have their own unique program using different light and heat settings to treat you effectively.
It’s super easy to place the mask on the UFO and it stays in place well. There’s plenty of product in the package with the mask to make sure that it is well hydrated and offers complete coverage. In fact, in most cases I found I could do more than one treatment with one pad, no problem. Once you connect the app to your UFO, you simply select the mask you’re using and the program starts running automatically. You just run the UFO over your face as the app directs you and while it plays relaxing music in the background. The music was actually kind of a nice touch, giving you more of an at home spa experience.
I have found the treatments to be very helpful. I’ve used the make my day hydrating mask and have found that I actually need to use less moisturizer because of it. I’ve also used the youth junkie, intensive renewal mask which is collagen infused. The two masks feel very different, as you would hope given the different treatments they’re for.
My one complaint is I haven’t been able to find some of the masks shown in the app. I’ve looked everywhere, including the Foreo store (available in the app), and it doesn’t appear that they’re available at this time. I hope that they are soon because I would like to try them to address some of the specific skin issues that I deal with.

I have owned a number of gaming computers, both desktop and laptop. In terms of functionality with size, this computer is hard to beat. It boasts 16 GB memory AND 1 TB SSD. And yet somehow it weighs just a little over 4 1/2 pounds. In my experience, that’s a rarity. And although the price is up there a bit, it’s perfectly in line with quality gaming laptops and meets (or actually exceeds) my expectations in every aspect.
Between memory and SSD, we’re off to a great start. Add to those the additional features and speed of the AMD Ryzen processor and Radeon graphics card, you’ve got yourself a fast and virtually flawless gaming experience. I’ve had no issues with any games or more everyday activities like streaming. And the battery life (especially considering all of the things under the hood) is excellent.
The screen isn’t 4K, which at this price point I might have expected. However, since the screen isn’t huge, it’s not really that noticeable of a difference and I don’t miss it, so that wasn’t worth taking a star off for me. Overall, super impressed and having a blast!

This is my second pair of smart sunglasses. I like the style of these much better than the first pair that I had, so right off the bat that earns a star for me. You have to like the look of the sunglasses and feel comfortable in them for them to be worth the cost in my opinion. However, I did find that I had a few issues that I think could be resolved in the future models.
First, I found that the fit on these was hit or miss. They fit me OK but weren’t as comfortable as I’d hoped. I had a couple of family members try them on just to compare and see what the comfort was like for them. Some thought they were great, others said they wouldn’t be able to wear them for long periods of time. They felt like they might even fall off. As far as sound quality goes, I found that that was decent but not everything you might hope for. There were no issues with connectivity but you just don’t have the same listening experience with sunglasses that you do with actual headphones. With the way technology goes I think that that improvement can be made and future iterations will probably be better. I would highly recommend trying a pair on if it all possible before purchasing, to make sure that you’re going to be happy with the fit and feel of them. If you don’t like headphones or want another option to them, then Bluetooth sunglasses may very well be the way to go. But if you’re expecting immersive sound like you would get from actual headphones, you may not be satisfied. For what they are, I think they’re a decent products but with room for improvement. But the style is a huge win for me since some Bluetooth sunglasses I’ve seen and/or owned have felt and looked bulky and awkward.

OK, I love this mouse. I will say write off, that I don’t know that it would be the perfect fit for everyone. It has a unique feel to it with some different angles that take some getting used to. I tried using it for regular tasks on the computer for a couple of days before I actually used it for gaming so that I could get used to the feel of it. I feel like that was super helpful because I was more familiar with what to expect from the mouse.
This thing is definitely light weight, but I felt that it still has amazing balance. Obviously for long-term use and maneuverability lighter is better. However I sometimes feel like some mice are so light they’re going to fly right out of my hand. For me, this was the perfect balance. Grip is good, reaction and sensitivity on point.

This is a simple little product but I really like having it. My Google home sits on a ledge of a pass-through window between my family room and kitchen. I use it in both rooms and I’m constantly having to turn it and adjust depending on what room I’m in. Having the swivel base makes it super simple to use between rooms without the risk of knocking it off the counter, which I’ve come close to doing more than once. It also sits at a bit of an angle so that it’s easier to see the screen on my raised ledge.
Depending on how you’re using this Google home this could be a very useful little tool to add to it and to make it that much more functional, especially between rooms.

I have owned a lot of different brands of true wireless headphones in several different price ranges. In my experience, a lot of Jabra products tend to be geared toward active users. So, right off the bat, these headphones have some specific features that are nice if you are someone who works out, moves around a lot, etc. and I would say that those features are noticeable and beneficial, for example, I found that they did have a snug but comfortable fit to ensure that they didn’t fall out when walking, jogging, etc.
However, whether moving or standing still and I wasn’t nearly as happy with the sound quality. In my experience, and at this price point, I feel like you should be getting better than what these currently offer. It just didn’t have the depth of sound or deep bass that I’ve come to expect from good quality headphones, whether they’re true wireless or not. This is not to say that they don’t have decent sound, I just don’t think it’s on par with other brands at this price. However, as stated above you are paying for other features that you may not get with other headphones. So, depending on what features are most important to you, this might be an acceptable trade off, and I am admittedly very picky about my sound quality.
Overall feeling is this is a decent pair of headphones with some good active user features, but the sound quality does fall a bit short for me.
The indoor Nest Cam knows the difference between a person, pet, and vehicle, and alerts you about the things that matter to you, instead of the things that don't. 24/7 live view shows you what’s happening from anywhere.* With 3 hours of free event video history, you can go back and see what you missed. And it comes in different colors to fit your style. The indoor Nest Camera requires the Google Home app and a Google Account – it’s not compatible with the Nest app or the home.nest.com site.

I have several nest cameras and also quite a few Google products throughout my house. I’ve been very happy with them and how well they sync up with each other. The cameras have been good quality and held up well over the last couple of years. Unfortunately, I was not nearly as satisfied with this new indoor camera.
I set it up in a window pointing outside. The first thing that was frustrating to me is that the camera doesn’t auto adjust depending on the angle it’s at. There wasn’t enough room for me to mount the camera from the top of the window frame, so I did it on the side. The problem is my picture is also sideways because of that and there’s no way to adjust it. You can turn the camera head but whatever way the camera is facing is the way your picture will look. I also found that the night vision is pretty much nonexistent, made even worse by the fact that my camera is pointing out a window. It reflects back any light and more often than not I end up with a reflection of my front room instead of what’s outside. Not ideal.
The last thing I found that was incredibly frustrating, again since I already have other nest cameras is that this camera can’t be used with the nest app. It’s only compatible with the Google home app. If you’re brand new to nest products, then this won’t be an issue for you as you can just set up in the Google home app with this and any other products. But for me I have everything set up through the nest app including not only my cameras but two smoke detectors. I have this one random camera though now that won’t work with the same app as all of my others. And quite honestly I don’t really like the layout of the cameras in the Google Home app. I much prefer the nest app so this was a huge negative for me.
The camera does work and if you can mount it upright and don’t have a problem using the Google home app, then this isn’t a bad little product. But for all of the reasons described above, I feel it’s lacking the usual quality I’ve come to expect from nest products and I’m not a fan.
