My previous GoPro was the Hero+. No issues with that as it worked great and took good HD clarity video. However, with the 4K craze, you kind of want your videos to have that extra pop in clarity. This GoPro does that and then some. As far as size, no real difference between this and my Hero+ as they're roughly the same size. The Hero7 seems a tad smaller but not by much. Functionality seems a bit easier as well with the buttons on the Hero7. Always found the Hero+ to be a bit lacking in terms of user friendly interface. The Hero7 has a simple(r) button for changing modes and a button to start/stop recording. The Hero+ was the same in this respect however trying to change camera modes on it was almost infuriating. The 4K clarity video is quite stunning and comes through beautifully on my 4K LG TV. No issues I've experienced with grainy quality or resolution issues. Taking videos as simple as walking through the woods now seem to come to life. Only downside for me is that I have to buy a bigger MicroSD card as my 64GB isn't cutting it with the 4K resolution. Other then that, great piece of tech and looking forward to taking it to the beach for some fun videos.

So I've never owned any Jaybird headphones however I always read that these are good headphones with great sound. I'm normally a Bose or Sony kind of guy so these were a bit different.
As far as wireless headphones go, I prefer all wireless earbuds. Main issue I have with these wired headphones is the sound/vibrations from the wire as it rubs against my neck. I have Jabra 65t's, Bose Soundsport and Sony WF-SP700N earbuds. All of which are really nice. Not a big fan of wired earbuds however these are quite nice.
The eaerbuds come with the normal goodies; different sized earplugs, USB charging cable and a coin purse carrying case.
As far as sound quality goes, I'm quite impressed with these. To date I like the sound from my Sony SP700's as they provide nice, punchy base. These aren't quite as punchy in that respect however the sound is bright and crisp.
Overall, pretty nice headphones. As I haven't used Jaybirds previously, I can't really comment on how these are different from previous versions. However, if you're in the market for some wired "wireless" earbuds then these are a good choice.

I listen quite a few genres of music so finding a pair of headphones that can play all music types well is sort of hard. Up until a year or so ago, I got a pair of Bose QC35's and thought my search was over for the perfect pair of headphones. However, having got these Sony headphones, it's time to rethink my Bose...and I'm a Bose fanboy.
My QC35 were pretty perfect in every way imaginable. They're light, great battery life, excellent sound and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Pretty hard to beat that however these Sony WH-1000XM3, are giving my Bose a run for their money.
These Sony's combine all the great features of my Bose and add better noise canceling, touch controls and even better battery life.
Comfort, I still like the Bose. They sit well on my head and are super comfortable. However the Sony's are comfortable as well. They're very close to the Bose QC35 in terms of comfort but I still give the edge to the Bose in that respect. The Bose have a bit more room around the top portion of my head and just feel better. The comfort advantage is to the Bose but just by a little bit.
Sound: both the Sony's and QC35 are pretty comparable in terms of sound however I'll give the slight edge to the Sony. One of the biggest features I like about Sony headphones are their extra bass feature. Normally, this can be switched on/off as needed however there is no such feature on these Sony headphones. However, they provide ample, punchy bass notes which I like. Those who listen to rap/hip-hop, it probably won't be as great since that music tends to have booming bass. For my music tastes, works great.
Battery life. I would say both of these are pretty much the same. I believe the Sony's have a little more battery life than the Bose however I see no huge difference between them. One bonus is that these Sony headphones use USB-C so they'll charge a lot quicker and a nice upgrade from mini-USB connectors.
Noise canceling: I'll give the advantage to the Sony's again. Bose noise canceling is great and does a great job at blocking out a lot of external noises. It's quiet and I've never had an issue with them. The Sony's noise canceling is really fantastic. It blocks out a lot of external noises, dare I say, even better than the Bose. The feature on the Sony headphones allows you listen to the outside world briefly by covering the right hand cup. Sounds kind of stupid but works really well and a nice feature.
Touch controls: One of the things I wish the Bose had were touch controls. Initially I wasn't a big fan of these however, using the touch controls on the Sony, this feature is starting to grow on me. Simply swiping up/down/left/right on the right ear cup lets you control your music easily.
Overall, I'm really impressed with these Sony headphones and are giving the Bose QC35's a run for their money. Will be interesting to see what the QC45's will look like but, for me, these Sony headphones are it.

When taking conference calls, I normally use my cell phone or earbuds. As a result, the batteries die a lot quicker so I figured it might be worth it to try out a headset just for conference calls on my computer. The sound quality on these is pretty good. Despite being on-ear headphones, they do a pretty good job at canceling out office noise. They're not active noise cancelling headphones by any means but they do a pretty good job. The Do Not Disturb light is odd but cool. You can use these headphones either through the normal 3.5mm jack or though USB. The USB dongle adds volume up/down buttons, mute and the Do Not Disturb button too. Pretty cool to say the least.

First thing you'll notice about the display is the crisp images it produces. While being just a 1080p monitor, the images produced are bright and vibrant. Video is also clear and crisp as well. Viewing 4k content is quite good and no issues that I've come across.
The profile of the monitor is also very modern and chic looking. The base is very minimalist but sturdy. The monitor is quite thin however the base of the monitor is a bit thicker compared to the rest of the monitor. The weight of the monitor is a bonus as well. My previous 27" monitor weighs considerably more than this one does.
Buttons are a smudge troublesome to get to and sort of tucked away making quick adjustments a little difficult. Only drawback I had for this monitor was the lack of VESA mounts. Would've been neat to be able to wall hang this with my existing VESA mount.

This headset isn't completely wired/wireless. Unlike some of the older headphones with 15ft long cables that plug into the USB port, this one isn't like that. The only part of the headset that's wired is from the headset to the controller. Power is drawn from the controller so there is going to be a little less play time as a result. The design of the headset is pretty cool looking. It's pretty lightweight so it's not too noticeable when playing for a few hours. Sound is surprisingly good. still undecided if it's soundwhoring good quality but playing Destiny 2, I can easily hear footsteps, rustling and water drops. I previously used the Sony Gold wireless headset and these definitely sound better than those. Can't quite compare it Astros or Turtle Beach headset since I haven't used them in awhile.
Nothing bad to say about these but a couple annoyances with this headset are;
The adjustable headband is comfortable however for people with big heads, like me, this isn't quite as comfortable as I would like. The frame seems a tad narrow at the top for my tastes. You'll definitely get some headphone hair with this headset. I managed to get the headset on comfortably however it's pretty snug.
Since the volume control is plugged into the controller, the rotary knob for the volume is easily manipulated so you'll probably increase/decrease volume accidentally quite a few times while playing.
On the upside, since you don't have the charge this headset, it's a big plus for me since I'm always forgetting to charge my headset. They look good and they have quite good sound quality. They're also relatively inexpensive compared to other more popular brands out there.

While the allure of nostalgia is pretty tempting, this headphones are about what you'd expect from something like these. If you're old enough to remember the original version of these then you know these aren't quite audiophile quality. These will simply play your music.
The headband is a tad on the small side however I have a pretty big head so yeah. The wires connected to the speakers run along side the headband so you'll need to be careful not to pull on them too hard. The spongey earpads are exactly as I remember them and they're no different on these. This does come with a a pair of black earpads if you're so inclined to swap them out. I kept the original orange ones in place.
Sound is surprisingly acceptable. While nowhere near noise cancelling or even close to it, they do an acceptable job at playing music and sound OK. Not great but they are just OK.
Biggest issue I found was the location of the charging port. It's buried behind/underneath the foam earpad. You have to pull out the earpad a bit in order to get the cable plugged in. Bad design and it'll definitely wear out that side of the earpad quickly.
I REALLY prefer my headphones/earbuds to sound good. I can't go with ones that are just OK, which is what these are. If you're really in the mood for some nostalgia while listening to your music, pick these up or you can gift these to someone as a gift. BUT, I'd say pass on these just due to the sound quality of them.

The specs on this laptop are pretty "standard" for the most part. The Ryzen chip seems quite fast. I don't normally test chip speed or anything like that however, this laptop works as fast as I need it to which is all that really matters to me. The 8GB RAM and SSD make for quite a fast laptop; so it's fast enough to run pretty much anything you need to. The touch screen on this is a bonus for me. I don't normally use the laptop in its touch screen/tablet configuration but it is quite simple and easy to use. Only downside is that I think it's a tad on the heavy side. Other then that, really nice laptop for work/school or whatever you need it for.

For simplicity sake, this is a great choice for getting your home theater system setup. As far as connectivity goes, if you have something, it'll most likely connect to this. Whether it's speaker wire, mono, Wi-Fi, HDMI, etc., rest assured, you'll have no issues getting it connected to this receiver. For speakers, there's plenty of inputs for those as well. You also get two additional rear/surround sound speaker inputs which is nice. Sadly, my speakers are old so they're in need of replacing soon.
A couple features I like about this is the ability to control the receiver via the companion app. The remote on this thing is big and quite unwieldy. Having the ability to use your smartphone/tablet as the remote, makes for easier usage.
There is a little microphone that's included with this receiver, the YPAO mic, and it helps adjust the sound by analyzing the acoustics of your room and adjusting accordingly. I live in a condo so having this little thing make the proper adjustments is really cool.
There are also two outputs on this allowing you to project either to your TV or a projector. Both can be plugged in and used as needed which is nice.
Overall, I really like this both from its functionality and usability. I do need to upgrade my speakers at some point however, the media devices I have will now have a nice place to hook up to and work seamlessly together.

Excellent laptop for everyday use
ByLouRevuefromWashington, DC
Having had the chance to use this laptop, I must say it’s quite an impressive model for almostn any use. With an abundance of features housed in a sleek, stylish body, it’s a solid laptop for anyone in the market for a new/replacement laptop.
Using a 7th gen i5 dual core processor, the laptop functions on par with just about any laptop in its price range. With 8GB of RAM (12GB max) and a 1TB hard drive, it offers plenty of speed and room for all your files and enough power/speed to perform almost any task.
As far as the aesthetics go, this is an impressive looking laptop with clean lines, brushed aluminum cover and beveled edges. It’s a very nice looking laptop no doubt and the design, overall, is quite appealing. It comes with a full size keyboard as well as backlit keys which is a nice touch. Only gripe with the keyboard are the arrow buttons as the Up/Down buttons are smaller due to keyboard layout. The power button is on the right side of the laptop which is a bit unique as well as a dedicated volume button. There are 2 USB 3.0 ports as well as 1 USB 2.0 port, HDMI, SD Card and USB-C port. There is no CD drive for anyone wondering. The laptop (closed) is only about ¾ inch tall however it’s a bit wider than most due to the full size keyboard.
Power/performance. Using a dual-core processor I was under the impression this would be relatively slow and have choppy performance when opening multiple programs. Being this is the latest gen processor from Intel, this is not the case. Opening 2-3 programs at once was done with relative ease and switching between them was pretty flawless. The 8GB RAM comes in quite handy here and even with a 5400 RPM HDD, this laptop was able to perform tasks with very good speed. Battery life is pretty good. Using it “normally” and leaving it on for about 5-6 hours, there was about 50% battery left. Also, one very noteworthy benefit to this laptop, it doesn’t get that hot when left on for long periods of time which is VERY nice.
The display is probably the most impressive feature on here. A full 1080p display is quite vibrant and displays bright and dark colors extremely well. Those wanting to watch Netflix/Hulu will have no issues with the display. In addition to visuals, the sound from this laptop is equally impressive. For watching movies or just playing music, the speakers on this laptop deliver quite nicely without too much reverberation or distorted sound.
One of my initial thoughts of this being a 2-in-1 was that the tablet was an afterthought/gimmick. Having used previous 2-in-1 laptops, I was expecting the tablet functionality to be quite lackluster. Again, this was not the case. In this unit, you have, both, a well built laptop as well as tablet on-the-go device. Once in tablet mode, the screen orients itself to that of a normal tablet using Windows Tiles. Touch sensitivity is surprisingly smooth and using paint programs worked well without any lag or drops in sensitivity. Using the tablet form works really well when you want to sit back and watch videos or movies. Very nice.
A couple concerns with this laptop were;
The hard drive. While it’s a large 1TB drive, I would’ve expected something, at least, in the 7200 RPM range. Being fast enough for normal business related tasks, anyone wanting to use this laptop for video editing or other processor intensive jobs might find it to be a bit slow. This can easily be remedied by replacing the HD for a faster spindle drive or a SSD. However it would’ve been nice to have a tad faster hard drive here. The keyboard, for me, took a bit getting used to since I have previously used standard laptop keyboards without the number pad. This is a personal preference so nothing against the design. Just noting that those of you used to that type of laptop keyboard, there will be a bit of learning curve involved however I think the addition of the number pad is great thing and should be standard on all laptops. While the brushed aluminum case is aesthetically appealing, I’m a little concerned about it getting scratched/dinged from normal use or if when you’re changing it to be used as a tablet. This is the case with some laptops that use this metal casing so just something to be aware of.
Overall, this is an impressive laptop, reasonably priced with enough up-to-date technology that will last you for several years to come. Being that it’s a 2-in-1, it’s an added bonus which allows you to use this device in ways you should be able to do and with relative ease. There is some bloatware included (this should be no surprise) so make sure to uninstall/delete the stuff you don’t need. Aside from a somewhat slow hard drive, the other features on this laptop more than make up for it. Very nice buy for a new work laptop or student.
It took a bit of time to setup my laptop as well. Have you tried uninstalling the bloatware on this laptop? I did and I don't have any issues with boot speed or anything else on my laptop.

Can an owner of the original non active 65t comment on the fit and stability difference with the active version? Curious if that and the extra IP rating is worth a look, or negligible.
I own both the active and regular 65T's and I don't see any noticeable difference between them. Aside from the IP rating, there's really not much difference. Both fit exactly the same and fit pretty snugly in the ear.
Brighten your day and night with this Philips Being Hue ceiling light. The dimming function lets you set an ambience for different moods, and it works with the Philips Hue dimmer switch and mobile app for versatile control. The ZigBee technology of this 32W Philips Being Hue ceiling lamp provides smooth, efficient interoperability with multiple Hue lighting units.
Can this light be controlled by a existing wired wall switch? I plan to replace the light that is already there with this one, but I would prefer to use the wired switch.
Yes you can...that's what I did. One thing to note is that the light won't come on immediately like your current light fixture does. There's a second or two delay after you flip the switch. I'm planning on replacing the switch with a dimmer switch so maybe that will correct the delay.
