With all the hub bub about Airpods or GalaxyBuds these days, pretty hard to ignore the other manufacturers like Bose, Bowers & Wilkins and Anker, putting their mark on the earbud business. Now, while not as flashy as AirPods, DO NOT sleep on these earbuds from Anker. Having used dozens of earbuds from hosts of manufacturers, they are quality earbuds and, like in this case, cheaper than the big brand boys.
The big thing with me and earbuds is ANC or active noise cancelling. The quieter you can get it, the better you're able to enjoy your music and your environment. The new AirPods do a fantastic job at this however these are no slouch either. Using these at my medical appointment recently, they block out all those annoying little beeping noises coming from the machines almost to the point where I don't even notice them anymore :)
Standard charging with these and batter life is acceptable I think. I usually get around a full day between charges/usage. No issues from my end that the battery will run out before the days over

Probably TOO much for the average Joe but still...

Most people will stop at a shiny, RGB lit keyboard when it comes to picking one out for their system. It's much easier to look at he shiny lights and forget the keyboard is still the most important peripheral for your PC. That said, for those looking for a REALLY custom(izable) beefy keyboard, I think you can stop looking at this 0ne.
While it may look like a $30 keyboard, there's quite a few features on this that set it a part from other keyboards out there. For me, the solid, all metal body is always a virtue that you have a quality piece. Keystrokes are buttery smooth sounding and feeling and are adjustable pretty much however you want them to be.
3 different connection methods with BT, wired and wireless; concurrent connectivity w up to 3 devices at once, customizable mapping of keys online (if need be) and keys that can easily be replaced should you decide to later on down the road.
Really a strand out piece for a PC and one that only certain few people would be able to recognize/appreciate

If you're in the market for a upgrade to you monitor, Samsung does another decent job at making more stuff that'll make them take out money.
From a purely monitor spec perspective, this one comes in pretty nicely with 0.03 ms response time, 500Hz refresh rate and G-Sync. I'm slowly trying to update my screen layout with slightly smaller screens like this 27" monitor just for usability and scaling efforts. Personally, 32" is my sweet spot but I'm slowly getting used to this size monitor.
Has all the usual hook ups one would need/expect in a monitor. I currently have a 14900k/5090 so this monitor can't keep up but it does a decent job nonetheless. Quality and clarity on the monitor is quite excellent and I have no complaints about it. Even at 1440p, still and very rich and vibrant screen display that'll work on any game.
Now, I'm debating on using this monitor as a side monitor since I do have 2 ultra wide's as my main displays. Even then, the quality of the monitor is still good for use as a main or side monitor depending on your needs.

Printers these days are still seemingly a thing. Some people need them, some others swear by them, lots of others still hate them. That said, I think everyone should own at least a basic AIO printer for their business/personal usage. Brother has been holding it down in terms of quality, somewhat budget friendly printers for quite some time and this one is no different.
For me, this is my first of their Tank printers. Like pretty much everyone else, I have been using the standard cartridge/toner for my printers which we all know can get quite expensive. This being a tank printer, I'm curious to see the change in price of ownership in the long term.
That said, as with all their AIO printers, this one can do it all. Whether in-person or via cloud through their app, you can print anything you need pretty much anywhere which is super convenient. Again, small footprint so it won't take up a huge chunk of real estate. Quality for both printing/scanning is beyond what is more than acceptable.

I've been using these percussion massagers for awhile now and can surely say these are truly muat have devices for anyone regardless of their workout regime.
There's a number of players in this space but Hyperice and Therabody are the two big ones that come to mind. Having used both brands/models before, there are some differences between the two but, moreso than anything, really just boils down to personal preference.
This one from Hyperice is their smaller/portable model. It's not quite as a full blown kit model like their Pro model, but it gives you a couple different percussion heads and case to get to know this little massager.
Power wise, I think it's one of the better ones out there. You get a nice strong pulse from this each time and the battery liife on this is quite nice as well. I'm usually getting about 2-3 days worth of power on average usage before needing to charge again. Still though, as long as I've had/used these, never really had an issue with power/battery life.
Whether you workout a lot or just have some nagging muscle cramps every now and then, go get yourself one of these and you won't be sorry

While there are some really nice Bluetooth speakers out there as well as s-so ones, I like this one as it sits very nicely on the lower end of this spectrum without being too cheesy.
J-Lab makes some decent budget oriented products so seeing Bluetooth speaker is no surprise. It won’t break the bank but works very well considering the price point.
It’s about the same height as two soda cans. If you have a travel coffee mug, it’s about the size of one of those so this is both very lightweight and portable. Really simple set of buttons on this; power button, volume up/down and a knob. Everything can controlled on the speaker/phone as well as the companion app.
RGB is kinda cool but can be a tad annoying at night. Can only be shut off through the app. Convenient rubberchnadle attached to the speaker and its water/weatherproof so you can use it outside.
Battery life seems pretty decent on this. It’s rather at 15-ish hours or so. Can definitely get days worth out of this. Also, if you use/download the app. It also has some ambient noise sounds too.

Being a PC gamer, I've used quite a number of headphones in my time. Whether it was for mobile devices, PlayStation or XBOX or PC, there was always some issue/gimmick with getting headphones to connect to whatever system you were using. But, with this HyperX, no need for that since this thing will connect to anything which is super nice AND these sound great.
The fit on these headphones is quite nice. Very big and cushy BUT I'm not a huge fan of the cloth earpads. I prefer something that's a little more breathable and these feel like slipping on wool socks in the summertime.
Large, bendy boom mic is removable and the buttons on the headset are nice a large and easily distinguishable from each other. Overall fitment of the headphones is good and I have a large head so that's saying something.
The interest little gadget that comes along with these headphones is the customizable base station that lights up in pretty RGB. I mean, how can RGB NOT make something nicer right? Well, I think it does for this headphone. With the base station you can make edits to your headphones on the fly like EQ changes or swapping devices. Sound quality is quite good with these and the battery life is really good....like really good.

Whether you need one or not, I think everyone with a portable device should have one of these power banks whether it be in their car/truck or bag. Seems that you never really ever need one of these until you really do. And often it's at the worst of times.
I've had a couple power banks in the past however they were usually smaller, lower power ones that really didn't offer that much in terms of performance or battery life. This one is quite a bit beefier so there is that. Bigger battery capacity and magsafe connectivity make this a really nice one to pickup. My previous one was just a corded battery that you'd connect to the phone via cable.
This one charges at a decent rate and outputs the charge equally as fast to my phone. The built-in cable/lanyard is a nice touch too since you no longer have to fumble around looking for the cable now. Digital display readout shows battery percentage available on the power bank and convenient on/off switch ensures the devices is on when you need it on.

The 17PM battery already has some decent life to it but.....getting that little extra but out of the phone is always a benefit as well.
I've been using the 17PM since launch and have never had an issue with the battery as of yet. That thing will all day and then some which is great. However, I have seen some instances where certain use cases of the phone require some extra battery power. Lots of people who use their phones as cameras/camcorders always need some extra juice to power through their sessions and what not so this people need something that'll provide extra screen time.
Mophie has been making these battery cases for awhile and these are usually a good first, go-to for those looking for some extra battery power. These battery pack cases provide up to an additional 50% power to the battery which is fantastic whichever way you look at it. Yeah, the case isn't going to win any beauty conttests but it provides ample protection to the phone when locked in. For the extra battery juice you get with the case, I'm OK with it looking a little bland.

I've used Crucial PC RAM in the last couple builds I did and have been thoroughly pleased with them through and through.
Considering today's RAM economy, kinda hard finding any RAM really but finding decent RAM at any retailer is quite the undertaking at the moment. Fortunately, seems like quite a few people sleep on this RAM in particular and I say it's their loss.
Sure, it may not win any beauty pageants or be featured RAM in some sick build OR not have any of that fancy RGB but, this RAM has it where it's needed. Availability seems to be OK (at least in my area) and the price isn't too jacked up which is nice. The previous build I had was using a Ryzen 7800X3D/XTX7900 combo. Those specs with the RAM, never had a single hiccup or issue with the hardware in my time. This being both AMD EXPO/INTEL XMP ready, no need to worry if you got the right RAM for your mobo since this can handle both. Temps were pretty solid as well IIRC and no issues with overhearing. Granted, I did not OC that RAM since it was a customer build but it did run whatever I had thrown at it.

Excellent laptop for everyday use
ByLouRevuefromWashington, DC
Having had the chance to use this laptop, I must say it’s quite an impressive model for almostn any use. With an abundance of features housed in a sleek, stylish body, it’s a solid laptop for anyone in the market for a new/replacement laptop.
Using a 7th gen i5 dual core processor, the laptop functions on par with just about any laptop in its price range. With 8GB of RAM (12GB max) and a 1TB hard drive, it offers plenty of speed and room for all your files and enough power/speed to perform almost any task.
As far as the aesthetics go, this is an impressive looking laptop with clean lines, brushed aluminum cover and beveled edges. It’s a very nice looking laptop no doubt and the design, overall, is quite appealing. It comes with a full size keyboard as well as backlit keys which is a nice touch. Only gripe with the keyboard are the arrow buttons as the Up/Down buttons are smaller due to keyboard layout. The power button is on the right side of the laptop which is a bit unique as well as a dedicated volume button. There are 2 USB 3.0 ports as well as 1 USB 2.0 port, HDMI, SD Card and USB-C port. There is no CD drive for anyone wondering. The laptop (closed) is only about ¾ inch tall however it’s a bit wider than most due to the full size keyboard.
Power/performance. Using a dual-core processor I was under the impression this would be relatively slow and have choppy performance when opening multiple programs. Being this is the latest gen processor from Intel, this is not the case. Opening 2-3 programs at once was done with relative ease and switching between them was pretty flawless. The 8GB RAM comes in quite handy here and even with a 5400 RPM HDD, this laptop was able to perform tasks with very good speed. Battery life is pretty good. Using it “normally” and leaving it on for about 5-6 hours, there was about 50% battery left. Also, one very noteworthy benefit to this laptop, it doesn’t get that hot when left on for long periods of time which is VERY nice.
The display is probably the most impressive feature on here. A full 1080p display is quite vibrant and displays bright and dark colors extremely well. Those wanting to watch Netflix/Hulu will have no issues with the display. In addition to visuals, the sound from this laptop is equally impressive. For watching movies or just playing music, the speakers on this laptop deliver quite nicely without too much reverberation or distorted sound.
One of my initial thoughts of this being a 2-in-1 was that the tablet was an afterthought/gimmick. Having used previous 2-in-1 laptops, I was expecting the tablet functionality to be quite lackluster. Again, this was not the case. In this unit, you have, both, a well built laptop as well as tablet on-the-go device. Once in tablet mode, the screen orients itself to that of a normal tablet using Windows Tiles. Touch sensitivity is surprisingly smooth and using paint programs worked well without any lag or drops in sensitivity. Using the tablet form works really well when you want to sit back and watch videos or movies. Very nice.
A couple concerns with this laptop were;
The hard drive. While it’s a large 1TB drive, I would’ve expected something, at least, in the 7200 RPM range. Being fast enough for normal business related tasks, anyone wanting to use this laptop for video editing or other processor intensive jobs might find it to be a bit slow. This can easily be remedied by replacing the HD for a faster spindle drive or a SSD. However it would’ve been nice to have a tad faster hard drive here. The keyboard, for me, took a bit getting used to since I have previously used standard laptop keyboards without the number pad. This is a personal preference so nothing against the design. Just noting that those of you used to that type of laptop keyboard, there will be a bit of learning curve involved however I think the addition of the number pad is great thing and should be standard on all laptops. While the brushed aluminum case is aesthetically appealing, I’m a little concerned about it getting scratched/dinged from normal use or if when you’re changing it to be used as a tablet. This is the case with some laptops that use this metal casing so just something to be aware of.
Overall, this is an impressive laptop, reasonably priced with enough up-to-date technology that will last you for several years to come. Being that it’s a 2-in-1, it’s an added bonus which allows you to use this device in ways you should be able to do and with relative ease. There is some bloatware included (this should be no surprise) so make sure to uninstall/delete the stuff you don’t need. Aside from a somewhat slow hard drive, the other features on this laptop more than make up for it. Very nice buy for a new work laptop or student.
It took a bit of time to setup my laptop as well. Have you tried uninstalling the bloatware on this laptop? I did and I don't have any issues with boot speed or anything else on my laptop.

Can an owner of the original non active 65t comment on the fit and stability difference with the active version? Curious if that and the extra IP rating is worth a look, or negligible.
I own both the active and regular 65T's and I don't see any noticeable difference between them. Aside from the IP rating, there's really not much difference. Both fit exactly the same and fit pretty snugly in the ear.
Brighten your day and night with this Philips Being Hue ceiling light. The dimming function lets you set an ambience for different moods, and it works with the Philips Hue dimmer switch and mobile app for versatile control. The ZigBee technology of this 32W Philips Being Hue ceiling lamp provides smooth, efficient interoperability with multiple Hue lighting units.
Can this light be controlled by a existing wired wall switch? I plan to replace the light that is already there with this one, but I would prefer to use the wired switch.
Yes you can...that's what I did. One thing to note is that the light won't come on immediately like your current light fixture does. There's a second or two delay after you flip the switch. I'm planning on replacing the switch with a dimmer switch so maybe that will correct the delay.
