Cool Lights, Too Big Power Supply, Poor App!

We had several Phillips Hue lights at our previous housethat the kids grew up in. My son, as a 14 year old at the time, was the first to have purchased a bridge and a couple lights. When he set them up, he set them up under his account and did it himself. Over the next few years, we added lights here and there, but he was always the one who set it up. Fast-forward 10 years and he's now a U.S. Naval Nuclear Engineer on Boomer submarine, and while 1 of our 2 kids isaway, we sold that house and moved to a larger house. Somewhere in the move, his hue stuff got misplaced.
So, starting over, when I got the chance to get these, I jumped on it.
As far as the lights themselves, they are pretty cool. COuntless color choices that you can adjust in the app. In addition to color, you can change brightness. They also have some preset "scenes". I have not fiddled with them much, and don't see us using them much. The only hardware drawback is the transformer where it plugs in seems overly-large. In my relatively tight wet-bar environment, that limited access to the current light switch. I will prbably buy a short low profile chord once I do pernantly install them.
Why 4 stars and not 5? Well, the app and account set up...
After instaling the app, it wanted me to set up an account. OK, no problem. Except, yes, there was a problem. I created the account, sent the confirmation code e-mail, entered the code and then signed in again. After multiple try's it just kept spinning and spinning and spinning. I ended up moving on and just used the app. Dissapointing but I'm honestly not sure how much I care.
End of the day, decent hardware, dissapointing app/account logging.

Great Antivirus, Hopefully ID Protection Works!

I have been using Webroot antivirus for a few year and have been pleased with it. When the opportunity came up to get Webroot - Premium Antivirus Protection (10 Device) with Allstate Identity Protection (10 Identities), gladly grabbed it.
Set up was pretty straight-forward. Entered the provided code from the "My Account" field and downloaded Webroot app.
Next step was to go to the "Identity Protection" tab and clicked on the "Go to ID Protection account".
That opened a new tab and I created the new account. This where this review will be truncated on the efffectiveness of the ID protection. To be perfectly honest, I hope I NEVER have to use it. If so, that is not good. In the meantime, it's a wait and see and hopeffully it works as advertised.
As for the Antivirus, as mentioned I have a history with it. And so far, so good. I have had zero negative impact, so that is a good thing.
The only thing keeping me from a 5 star, is that I really whish BOTH the Webroot AND the Allstate ID protection was able to be run in a single app or webpage but you can't. You can't access the Allstate side at all throught the app. ANd when you choose Identity protection from the Webroot website, it opens a new tab in the Allstate domain. Yes, a minor irritant, I know, but still a little annoying.
End of the day, great antivirus, and HOPEFULLY the Allstate ID protection works as advertised and I NEVER have ot use it!

Great Choice, Good Value, Good Quality

Insignia is Best Buy's in-house brand. As a general rule, Insignia gear is close to if not equal in quality to the "name brands" but is generally offered at a discount price. This product fits that bill perfectly.
Inside you will find the foldable wall outles and 6' USB cable. The cable is USB-C to USB-C. The cable has a braided outer layer that is generally in the higher quality arena, especially compared to the more common plastic units.
The wall plug-in portion is collapsable.This is primarily for ease of portability. The unit has a nice, high quality feel, with a decent enough "heft" providing a sense of quality.
As for the fit, the USB-C cable fits into the head unit with a solid, tight feel. I am sure we all have had USB cables (think the expensive airport emergency USB cable you had to buy because you forgot your) that feel flimsy and do not inspire confidence. This is not like that.
From a technical perspective, this a 25 watt, 3 amp charger. That is considered a fast-charger and will charge devices fastert han lower watt chargers.
I couldn't find the data-rate speed on the cable itself but it certainly seems to move those 0's and 1s with as much speed as I would ever need.
End of the day, this is a great choice and I would reccomend to a friend.

Excellent choice for the serious gamer

So here's the deal, and it's a good-news/bad-news situation. The good news, it's a fantastic gaming mouse. Light-weight, comfortable and responsive.
The bad news? Well, it's not the fault of the mouse, but... My 22 year-old son is a US Navy Nuclear Engineer. We still stay connected by playing video-games over the net. Well, I thought maybe, just maybe this mouse would give me the ever-so slight advantage. Sadly, I was wrong and he still beats me probably 70% of the time. Turns out technology can not over-come the test of time. My old nerves are just not up to snuff to keep up with the kid!
The Razer DeathAdder V3 Gaming Mouse is an excellent choice for the serious gamer. As mentioned earlier, this is a very ligh-weight mouse. And in that light-weight, it is remarkably agile and responsive.
Ergonomicly speaking, it is great. It fits my hand perfectly, allowing for multi-hour gaming without any cramping or slowing down. Even in my advanced age of 53 years, I was able to play on-line for a shade over two hours and no discomfort.
Speaking of hours, it's listed to have a 100 hour charge life. I have no idea how manyhours I used it, but so far it's been rock-solid on the initial charge.
End of the day, this is a great choice!

This is not my foray into Yale. I had one on our previous house, I have a yale on our current house, my son has a yale on his house near Kitsap Naval Submarine base and I have a yale cupboard lock that I have in my bathroom to help protect prescription's from those who should not have access. As with my previous experiences, this did not dissapoint.
Since my 20-year-old college enrolled daughter moved out and into an aprtment, this was the perfect option. Given her ability to lock and unlock remotely and monitor status, of course me, as the nervous dad provides me some peace-of-mind.
As far as install, my 22-year-old son installed it for his sister while he was on leave from the navy. He said it took him about 20 monutes or so. But bear in mind, he is first and foremost a perfectionist by nature and a US Navy Nuclear Engineer on a Trident Nuclear submarine by career, so this simple install tantamount to him putting his shoes on.
End of the day, this a high-quality product from a company with a long and trusted history. If you have the need, this is an excellent choice!

The good:

The ugly:

End of the day, the system hardware is impressive. The ability view and manage clips on PC is excellent. That said, the app is pretty dissapointing, the mouse is useless and the support is not good.
I am going to keep them mmounted and might even buy more camera's, but soley for use on my PC and for activity management.

Where to start?
First off, the unit came attractively packaged in a small box. What was inside?

While I have been involved in Crypto for the last 3 years, a friend of mine who has been involved in Crypto since almost day uses the Trezor Model 3. When this offer came available to me via the Tech Insider Network, I asked him if it was a decent choice. With his experience, he told me this would be a good choice. Even better, he offered to help set it up for me.
One nice option he told me about was that you can set it up with a software update that operated in the original Bitcoin only environment. Big score, I only do Bitcoin and relied on his years of expertise!
Anyhoo, he came over and I bought a 6 pack of his favorite IPA as a thanks for his help... After about 20 to 30 minutes, we had it up and running and were able to do a quick and easy trade. I fiddled around with it for a bit nd found it to be realtively easy.
End of the day, if you are looking for secure, entry-level and well valued Crypto wallet, this is an excellent choice.
I would reccomend it to a friend!

So I went back and forth between giving this two or three stars. End of the day, I gave it three because I guess it does what it's supposed to do, but it doesn't really stand out.
I mean, it records in 1080p, it has what many camera's have from a feature set. Motion detection, AI animal/human/motion detection, two-way audio, night-vision etcetera... Again, pretty standard fair.
So why did I go back and forth between two stars-and three-stars?
Well, as I mentioned it does what it's suposed to as far as a security camera and it has typical features you would expect. But, this camera is priced ar $200. Pretty steep, especially considering it has no particularly outstanding features.
Additionally, you would think for that price it might have some additional features. Something like battery backup, a small one, or a sieres of capacitors for small blackouts or power surges.
Also important to note, the mounting screws are made of a soft metal. They can easily be stripped if you don't drill a pilot hole. I would have expected more from something in this price range.
I think for most people, this will do a fine job, but it definatly missed the mark... Atleast missed the mark the price-point targeted.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If It Works As Advertised But Hope I Dont Find Out

OK, product like this McAfee+ Advanced Family ID Theft Coverage & Internet Security Software are always difficult to review. The fact that they are, by design to be most effective after saomething really bad happens, like identity theft. Hopefully I'll never have to discover the effecacy. That said, I'll address "so for" user experience and what the product should do:
The Good:
* Personal information protection on multiple devices for the entire family
* 24/7/365 data monitoring
* Up to $1-million in lost assets and expenses
* Monitor of personal information that may be in "stale" accounts
* 24/7/365 data monitoring

Some bonuses (may be more or less useful for each individual):
* Parental controls
* Included VPN

As mentioned, these items are not for everyone. I will not be using them bacuase I alread have a trusted VPN, and my kids are of age and have their online life to a point where they don't need monitoring. But for some, these may be useful tools.
The bad:
* During install, there were several "upsells"

This really irritates me. I have always been the type of person who I don't mind buying, but I HATE being sold to. I have told car dealers my entire life that exact same thing. I know what I want, I know what I don't. Don't try to sell me more. Instead, If you want me to have a positive, offer these as bonuses. Instead, that upsell is what led to 3 stars.
End of the day, I amd confident this will be a usefull product, albeit with some unnecassary (at least for me) bloat.
Hopefully I'll never need to know.

This is my 4th Tapo (TP Link) product so I knew I was getting a quality product. I was not dissapointd.
Inside the box younhave 3 camera's, 3 solar panels, 3 multi-use mounts, 3 short cable, 3 long cables and various mounting hardware.
Per instructions, I charged all 3 camera's. Took 2.5 / 3 hours per camera. I already had the Tapo app loaded so next step, I powered on a camera (hold power down 3 seconds), then in app chose the add device (big + symbol, upper right)... After a few seconds, you will need to go into youe WiFi settings and connect to the Tapo device displayed on your screen. Once connected in the app, you enter your WiFi ESSID and password. Then reconnect to your network and in a couple mintes you are up and running.
Lather, rinse repeat 3 times naming each camera and creating an icon as you go.
Physically mounting, you have a a couple choices... You can (as I did) mount the camera and solar panel as one piece, or if needee, you can remove the camera mount and place it seperately while using the main mount and long chords to get the solar panel where it can catch.
For me, I just grabbed my handy chordless drill, 3 included screws for each plate and in less than 30 seconds each, they were mounted. Then mount the camera and solar panel, plug them in, adjust the camera to prefered angle and the solar panel where it will catch the sun and you are good to go.
Once installed, you can add MIcro SD's for local storage pr pay a small fee for cloud. Each camera, you can use the mic, operate the lights, turn alarm on/off, camera and tag. Nice set of items to have.
End of the day, this is a great system to afford camera's without having to pull electricity to power them. Great choice if you have the need and means!

I'm not sure I understand the question. You should be able to plug the USB into your PC, turn your mouse to the "on" position and have it operate no problems.
