Excellent light-weight, heavy performance choice

OK, my honest, evaluated asessment of this Webroot Total Protection?
This is very good overall Antivirus suite, with decent system health monitoring and optimaization. It comes with Identification monitoring, and back-up tools as well, but these are more, (to me), a "throw a bone" utility. But I stress, that is specifically FOR ME, and others might find it a better fir for them.
One of the biggest plusses, for me, is that this is very "light-weight". By light-weight, I DO NOT mean haveing "light ability", I mean have light use of PC resource. It is primarily cloud based, handing off most of the heavy work to the cloud, and leaving your PC or laptop to operate under a much lighter strain on your PC. Legacy anti-virus suites have HUGE impact on your PC's hardware and resources. The legacy products also embed themselves quite deeply into, and onto your machine and can become quite invasive and preformance effecting. Webroot's entire philosophy is the exact opposite.
That said, let's be honest. Does Webroot benchmark as well as others? Well, no, but for my use, (and for many already privacy minded folks taking reasonable porecaustions), Webroot is more than adequate.
As mentioned, the ID monitoring is efficient and effeative as far as I can tell, but most of us may already have ID protection dedicated through other means, so this may not be necassary. But a nice treat if you need it.
The PC optimazation? Again, is it "the best"? According to banchmark tests, probably not. BUt is it efficient and effective? Yes.
End of the day, after having used Webroot for years, it is still one of my favorites.

This ZAGG - Rainier Snap with Kickstand for Samsung Galaxy S26 is a very nice option. I have a history with ZAGG products, and it has been overwhlmingly positive. This Rainier Snap is no different.
Overall build quality is very good. Very sturdy inner-case, and protective outer case. The manufacturer (ZAGG) claims it can handle a 22 foot drop. While I am not willing to personally test that claim, I can say that it feels the part. It's designed with rpounded corners to absorb any drops, instead of concentrating it in a corner. Great design.
Additionally, it is compatible fdor magnetic accessories. A nice touch, considering how common those have become. I was able to wirelessly charge the phone with this case. Another nice feature.
Another advantage, is the built-in kickstand. I travel quite a bit, and prefer to travel lite. That said, I use my phonme for streaming and watching movies on an airplane. The kickstand is designed to work both horizontally and vertically. That's a handy feature, indeed.
End of the day, this is a high quality, relatively affordable, but quite valuable insurance policy.

So... This is not my first foray intot the Therabody family of products. My previous experiences, were all excellent. This product met my previous experiences. Therabody offers a quality product, you can feel in your hand, that delivers a truly near professional experience. I once visited my local NHL teams locker room, (it was a first responders night), and they had Therabody products. I was not surprised.
This little guy... Same high quality, professional feel, and delivery. Simple to use: plug it into any standard USB port, let it charge till it turns green, and you are good to go. The controls are simpe: one set for the "Low / Medium / High" of the percussion head, and then same for heat, "Low / Medium / High". Even on high, the heat was not too hot, but you definately felt it.
As for the percussion, Low and Medium were great, but honestly, for us? High felt just a shade below abusive. Again, this is not a reflection of a downside to the Therabody, but just a personal preference for us.
The one thing we do wish, is that it had an even lower/slower speed. When using on thin mucsle areas, (forehead, head, jawline, etc), it's overbearing, even on the slowest speed. A minor complaint, but a fair one.
End of the day, nice little product for relieveng facial stress and relaxing the muscles.

Nice Qi Choice, Especially For The Price

Insignia... Insignia is Best Buy's in-house brand. Over the years, I have had countless opportunitires to purchas, use, and review ,Insignia products from USB cables, refrigertors, speakers, power chords, cables, TV's, and everything in between. The experience has always been positive, starting with pocketboo, to the use, quality and reliabilty of their products. This Insignia Magnetic Wireless Charger Qi 1.0 two -pack, fits that exact bill.
What's in the box? Simply two Magnetic Wireless Chargers, and two usb cables. ANd really, that's all that's needed. I amd confident most people have power blocks laying around, so most people should good to go, straight oput of the box.
As for ease-of-use? I mean, they are magnetic charger Qi blocks. Plop your device on it, and it magically charges. Not much simpler than that.
As for charging, these offer "up to" 10 watt charging. While not considered "high-speed charging", (usually at least 15 watt, usually 25 watt), these little guys will charge yoir device as you toss it on a your desk and go along your day. I can imagine this product would be commonly used on your countertop, or bedside so you can easliy manipulate the charging in the dark... And, in the dark, after a few beers.
End of the day, solid product, good value, good price, and good brand history.

Great Choice For A Mid-Level Quality Headphone

These Sony - WH-CH730N Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones are perfect for what they are supposed to do. That would be filling a role between Sony's entry line ANC Headphones and Sony's higher-end ANC heaxphones. And to fill this middle-weight void, these do a great job.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to test countless headphones. Everything from $50 value phones, clear up to $700+ flagship headphones. While these certainly can't compare to the higher-end units, and of course, it would be unfair to compare to the lower units, these a re a great choice. If you are looking for a fairly priced, consumer-tuned, ANC, comfortable set, with outstanding battery life, I reccomend.
Sound quality is, as mentioned, consumer-tuned. Nice bass, bright mid's, crisp highs? Check.
ANC? This is where Sony always just beats out most of it's competitor, (in that value band, of course), and again, these are an excellent choice. While the ANC does not compare ti higher end units, it shouldn't. For day-to-day use, travelling, gym, reading, the isolation is quite good. The ANC is tight, right, and bright.
Battery life, as advertised, is great. I did not take a stop-watch to the review, but Sony has always been pretty spot-on, and I have no reason to doubt the claims.
Phone call quality was excellent. I tested on my bike, while walking, and while driveing, and all environments were met like a pro. The user on the other end had no idea I was on a wireless unit.
As for comfort, these are well desinged, quite light, and breathable. These would be perfect for long flights.
As a closeout note, this unit, when combined with app, can provide a very nice spatial audio. It does a freat job at nearing even higher priced units in that regard.
End of the day, I would reccomend to a friend!

Wicked-decent desktop!
This ASUS - V701 Desktop - Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX - 16GB Memory -.1 TB machine is an (almost) future-proof powerhouse of a desktop. Or at least as far as home use desktops go.
Why do I say "...(almost) future-proof"? Well, first off, because NOTHING is future proof in PC's, but this desktop is a bout as close as you can get. The CPU is a powerhouse that should be good for the next few years. And the chassis itself, super wide-open, lots of room to add internal upgrades and, lots of expansion. For us "home techie dorks", this a good platfor.
I'm not going to get into any of the tech specs, since they are freely available from multiple resources, incudig the BB website, but I will address the set-up and the aesthetics.
OK, from a set up perspective, included in the box, are a power chord, the unit itself, a basic wired mouse and keyboard. Lets be honest, the mouse and keyboard are good for setting it up, but most of us probably have old wireless mice and keyboards laying around that will be immediate upgrades. Beyond that, set up was exactly as expected for windows machne. The vast majority of time spent will be in the always time-consuming windows installations and upate. But once up and running, great Windows 11 machine.
Aesthetics? NIce rounded corners, a unique wood-grain'esque pattern on the front. Certainly not the "ever-so typical" square black box that could have been in any high school computer lab since 1996. Pretty unique and refreshing.
In all, a nice approach to an otherwise bland, (albeit many are capable), subset of "basic black boxes".
End of the great machine for a good price from a reliable builder. I would reccomend to a friend.

Great, Affordable Dolby Atmos/DTS:X Soundbar

OK, I am going toi do this review based on what this TCL - S-Class S60K 3.1 Channel Dolby Atmos Soundbar is, and NOT how it compares to other Dolby Atmos products.
In my main theater room, I have a full-blown 7.1 Yamaha reciever, with Sonance MAG5.1 speakers, Sonance IS15W sub, and Sony - SS-CSEM2 Dolby Atmos upfiring speakers. Needless to say, the Dolby Atmos and Dolby DTS:X decoding is nothing short of stunning. When watching movies with dogs barking behind us, our dogs get startled and start lookingfor where the barking was coming from. Having said all of that, this sysytem does not hold a candle to that sysytem, BUT it is NOT supposed to.
I replaced an 8 year old Samsung 2.1 soundbar/sub in my den with this TCL system. The upgrade was stunning. This is a true 3.1 soundbar/sub with 3 unique channels (L/C/R), and a standalone sub. Watching TV/movies, the upgrade was very noiticable. The seperation of center, to left/right seperation is beyond noticable. And the sub was a little muddy with the older system, but this is tight, controlled bass.
While it does have simulated Dolby Atmos, yes, it is noticeable, but it does not have dedicated upfiring speakers, so it is a virtual Atmos, and honestly? It's not bad. Certainly an upgrade. The same is true of the Dolby DTS:X. No near what a true 7.1 can get, but certainly capable.
The unit is attractive, and simple to install with the wireless sub. If you want Atmos and DTS:X, make sure you use your TV's HDMI ARC/eARC channel connected to the HDMI input. Basicly i HDMI cable, 1 power chord for the bar and one power chord for the sub. Simple.
End of the day, a very good system, especially for the price.

OK Printer, But With Defined Limitation

As a printer? It's fine.
As a scanner? It's fine.
I've set up countless Hewlet Packer printers, and this is just as most of the rest were.
My three biggest complaints with HP printers, (and this fallls in line with the rest), is:
1) The drivers can be flaky. Shortly after setup, I set this printer as one of four household network printers. The first couple print-jobs from my wifes laptop were no problem. All good. Later the same day, she tried a third time, and it looked from her end like it should have printed, but it didn't. Having had this problem earlier this year with another HP printer, I knew to remove the old driver from her PC, and load a fresh one. No biggie if you're a tech-savvy person, but I can imagine the never-eding frustration from a grandma and grandpa who just want to to print a simple recipe. Just word to the wise.
2) HP ink is generally on the more expensive side. This is by design. The HP business model, (to create higher margins), is to prvide relatively small yield cartridges, and make the bulk of profit, not from the printer themselves, but from the captured audience. I'm in the medical field, and this is more expensive than human blood.
3) Most HP printers require HP cartridges, and may not work with less expensive non-HP cartridges. See number two above.

Very Cool Wired Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

This Command Series KB5 Full-Size Wired Mechanical keyboard is actually very cool. First, lets note, that yes, it is a mechaical keyboard. For some techies, they may think that "mechanical = analog = bad". But for gamers, a mechanical keyboard is actually a huge preferred advantage. Mechanical keyboards offer quicker accuation, considerable precision, and they record every key press. Membrane keyboards offer slower accuation, les precision, and they can, (at times), depress two or three keys when only one was depressed.
My son is a U.S. Navy Nuclear Engineer, and an AVID gamer, across multiple platforms. I let him try this keyboard for a couple days and he was quite impressed with it. He said the gaming feel and accuracy rivaled multi-hundred keyboards we have used. So from him, that is high praise.
Additionally, important note, this IS a wired keyboard. While some might see that as an advantage, most gamers I know, including myself, prefer wired. Whether it's real or percieved, they find the wired to be ever so slightly quicker. I'm sure there are studies that show one way or the other, but that's a perception. Also, being wired, you don't need to worry about running out of battery in the middle of a heated battle.
The tech in the keyboard is also very cool. With the Swarm II software, you can Individually control programmable lighting. It also has a very useful 2.4" digital Command Touch Display. Again, with the Swarm software, you can customize that digital display. Very cool.
End of the day, an excellent gaming keyboard.

Decent Chromebook, But Two HUGE Issues

On the surface, the ASUS - CX14 14" FHD Chromebook Plus Laptop with Google AI specs out to be a solid machine, and end of the day, it really is. But... it does have some drawbacks that make it not nearly as desireable as it is in real-world, daily use.
First, The good:
* Overall solid specs
* 14.3 (non-touchscreen) LED screen
* 1920x1080 2k screen resolution
* 128 gigabyte storage (eMMC)
* Intel Core 3 (budget but efficient)
* 8 gigabyte
* Two USB C ports
* One USB A port
* One HDMI port
* 3.5 mm (old school) wired audio port
* 14.3 (non-touchscreen) LED screen
* 1920x1080 2k screen resolution
* 128 gigabyte storage (eMMC)
* Intel Core 3 (budget but efficient)
* 8 gigabyte
* Two USB C ports
* One USB A port
* One HDMI port
* 3.5 mm (old school) wired audio port
Again, decent specs. And to be perfectly honest, it is indeed perfectly adequate for lite-duty ingternet browsin, document management, document manipulation, etcetera.
OK, fair enough... so why I give it only a three-star rating?
Well, it has two glaring ommissions that really should be standard fair for a Chromebook at this price-point.
First glaring omission: No backlit keyboard. For any Chromebook at this price, that should be an automatic. And for me, the three main places I woud use tis in, my den is, (by design), not well lit unless I turn the the two lights on, but when watching TV, we both prefer the lights off.
The second place I'd use it is at night, in my bedroom. Again, with her asleep, and the TV going, no backlight, no good.
The second glaring omission, is no touch-screen. And at this price, I don't think that's an unreasonable want. Besides, all laptop's the wife and I have used over the last few years, have had touchscreens. So jumping into this one, seems like a real downgrade.
A decent unit for basic use, but one that will not get much use in this house. If these are not a big deal to you, it's not a bad choice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm not sure I understand the question. You should be able to plug the USB into your PC, turn your mouse to the "on" position and have it operate no problems.
