SynopsisIf you thought the nightmare was over, think again. The madness of isolation and the reality at hand are one and the same as engineer Isaac Clarke returns for another blood-curdling adventure in the sequel to the critically acclaimed Dead Space. The terror of being hunted by the government and haunted by a dead lover merge into a single, cohesive paralyzing emotion — but you have to persevere despite the creeping paranoia of dementia and the grotesquery slouching within every shadow. The Necromorphs are ripping the massive city to pieces and if you're going to survive "The Sprawl", you'll have to get desperate in order to last in Dead Space 2.Isaac Clarke isn't free of the terror of his situation, but don't worry — it's about to get worse. You'll have to seize opportunity by the throat if you're going to survive being hunted by the government and withstand visions of a dead girlfriend. Equip yourself with the tools to decimate and eviscerate the horrors surrounding you, like improved telekinesis, trip mines or even hull breaches to suck those things back into the dead of space where they belong. It won't be a walk in the park, though. In fact, you'll experience "The Sprawl" like never before in zero gravity with full 360° movement, destroying creatures in new weightless combat and unique, physics-based puzzles. Don't fret, you can share the loneliness of space — and the Necromorphs — with friends online in skirmishes to see if anyone really can hear you scream in space.

Best Space Horror Ever

Simply put I loved the original Dead Space and thus when Dead Space 2 came out it was a day 1 purchase for me. After finishing the game (~14h) and playing multiplayer for couple of hours this is what I thought.
***********PROS************
A SURVIVAL HORROR: While Dead Space 2 is slightly deviating from Dead Space 1 in terms of it is being more cinematic (more dramatic cut scenes, more depiction Isaac as a character etc.), Dead Space 2 is still a survival horror. You will have to be careful of your surroundings, you will have to be careful about conserving your ammo and you will have to have to use different items you gain in the game very wisely to get through the game on normal or harder modes. So unlike games like Resident Evil, which has moved to purely action/adventure, Dead Space 2 is still a survival horror.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL CREATING SPACE ENVIRONMENT: One of the reasons I loved Dead Space 1 and now Dead Space 2, is it is horror in space. In Dead Space 1 you are surviving in a space ship abandoned in Space and in this game you are doing similar in a city in space that is going through similar terror. While you may find these two settings very similar, there are some aspects that truly distinguish Dead Space 2 from 1. One of them being taking place in a city, you will have much greater variety in environment compared to Dead Space 1 and everything is designed so craftily that it actually feels like you are in the futuristic city in space. I truly want to give you examples, but it is hard to do it in words and without spoiling the gameplay experience for you, so just take my words for it.
UNEXPECTED SURPRISES: This is probably the best aspect of the game and makes it actually a horror. There are so many parts in the game (and I mean so many) where you won’t see things coming and I am not just talking about enemies popping out of closet, but some really good stuff. I truly wish I could tell you, but I truly don’t want to ruin the game for you.
BETTER IN SPACE GAMEPLAY: Like last game, you will have zero gravity and Oxygen less space areas, but in this game there will be a variety of things you will be doing in Iron-man like space suit. I simply loved it, especially the parts that are highly cinematic.
VARIETY IN ENEMIES: Just like Dead Space 1, there is plenty of variety in enemies. While a lot of enemies will be similar to Dead Space 1, there are some very unique new enemies. Having variety of enemies truly prevents the game from being redundant and keep things exciting.
VARIETY IN DEATHS: This is a strange pro to list, but play the game and even if you are a good player try dying with the hands of different enemies and different environmental hazards. The number of brutal ways you can die in this game will surprise you. I personally loved it.
VARIETY IN WEAPONS: Again most of the weapons you get are from Dead Space 1 (which are great), but then you will get also some new different type of weapons. The best part of these weapons is they have alternate fire. So this makes using them very strategic. The best thing that has been about Dead Space series is it is not simply about going around and shooting enemies. Rather, it has been about strategically fighting off the enemies. There are parts in this game you will get hordes and hordes of enemies coming at you. If you simply try to get them by just using one weapon, they will punish you. On the other hand, if you strategically use your weapons’ fire and alternate fire, you will be able to survive through the terror and move forward.
PLENTY OF UPGRADABLES: Just like previous Dead Space you can upgrade your suit, your rig, your weapons etc. In this game though you can get different types of suits. I personally have loved this addition. This truly adds an RPG element and promotes you to conserve even more so you can by nodes to upgrade as many weapons as possible.
AWESOME BEGINNING: Usually in my reviews I only consider gameplay etc. as pros and cons., but the beginning gameplay for this game is so unique that I have to put it down as pro. Unfortunately I can’t tell you more without spoiling so play and find it out.
TWISTS IN THE STORY: There are few twists that you may be able to predict, but others I guarantee you won’t see coming, especially in the end. Every crazy thing you may read or see has some sort of meaning. Unfortunately another thing I can’t describe more without spoiling.
NO ASTROIDS: Yes this is another thing I wouldn’t usually list as pro., but asteroids in Dead Space 1 annoyed me so much that I am so happy they don’t have them in Dead Space 2 or anything of similar nature.
BONUS GAME: As of now (02/2011) If you buy this game for PS3 form Amazon, you will get Dead Space Extraction for PS3 move for free. I can’t say for the future though.
MULTIPLAYER: While I am not into multiplayers these days, I still loved the the multiplayer for this game, especially the part where you can play nacromorph. This truly adds great replay value to the game.
MANY DIFFICULTY MODES: There are 3 difficulty modes above normal. So if you are a completionist, this game will take you a while and provide you hours and hours of entertainment.
************CONS.*****************
LACK OF GOOD BOSSES: Don’t get me wrong there are some good bosses in this game who will kill you in some of the most brutal ways possible; however, I had better expectations for them. Especially for the last boss. Kind of disappointed.
INVENTORY: Dead Space 1 and 2 are the games where you truly have to conserve the ammos and items and for that your inventory space is very important. Just like Dead Space 1, in this game there are levels where you will go long sequences without seeing a store where you can rearrange items in your inventory. During these long sequences you will acquire quite a few god/silver/bronze semiconductors (huge chunks of credits) and schematics for new items and they will occupy huge part of your inventory which should be used for ammos and health. I personally found it annoying. They should have separate space or should not take any space in your inventory at all.
************CONCLUSION*************
Pros for this game clearly outweigh the Cons. If you are a Dead Space fan or like horror games, this game is a must. So do yourself justice and buy and play it at your earliest opportunity. I give it 9.5/10.

For millennia, the concept of hell has captivated saints and sinners alike. And for centuries, the Western world's image of hell has found its inspiration in the compelling 14th-century epic poem "The Divine Comedy." Drawn from part one of this revered work of literature, Dante's Inferno thrusts you into the darkly imagined world of the nine circles of hell. Step into a nightmarish realm where you'll confront hideous monsters and your own shadowed past, and see if you can withstand the cruel punishments of hell.Based on part one of Dante Alighieri's enduring "The Divine Comedy," chronicling Dante's journey through hell in pursuit of his beloved Beatrice, Dante's Inferno sets you on a twisted course through the menacing nine circles of hell. Face up to the consequences of your own sins and your unforgivable war crimes as you traverse the realms of limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud and treachery. Battle increasingly fierce and dangerous monsters as you come closer to your goal, and seek both vengeance and redemption within the snare of hell's dark fires.

With so many bashing reviews for this game, I was a bit hesitant to buy this one, but I played the demo and watch many videos and to me it seemed ok. So I gave it a shot and here is what I think after finishing the game once on the normal mode.
*****************PROS:****************
AMAZING VISUALS AND GREAT ARTSTYLE: Artstyle and graphics in this games are simply phenomenal. Depiction of seven circles of hell, design of various enemies and bosses as well as character are just amazing. This is the strongest aspect of the game and will truly promote you to go deeper into hell to see its sadistic beauty.
DECENT COMBAT MECHANICS: Combat mechanics in this game is somewhere between Devil May Cry 3 and God of War. As you will see, they have borrowed heavily from both of this game (mainly God of War). For most part, it works great and you will be able to punish you enemies in decent number of ways. Fans of heck&slash genre will certainly like it.
DECENT PLATFORMING GAMEPLAY: Other than combat, what makes gameplay fun is its platforming aspect. Just like God of War, you will be jumping, hanging, swinging and performing various actions from structure to another. While it does have its downside (see cons.), for majority of game, the developers have done wonderful job. I particularly like the design how you are literally going down different circles of hell through platforming aspect.
UPGRADABLE MOVES: In this game, you can upgrade your combat moves as well as your character’s parameter by defeating enemies and collecting experience points. I particularly dig this, as I love the games that add RPG elements to it. Having upgradable character truly pushes you to go an extra mile to explore more and thus unlock more. Like it when developers add something like that.
ABSOLVE OR PUNISH: I usually like choices in the game. While this game is no Bioshock or Mass Effect in terms of choices, you can at least whether you want to absolve or punish enemies. Doing either will eliminate your foe in unique manner, but more importantly allow you to upgrade unique set of moves depending on what choices you have made. Again another interesting addition.
PLENTY OF INTERESTING DOCUMENTS: Other than new moves, there are plenty of other material that you can unlock in this game. For example, talking to a character you encounter very often will unlock different artifacts that gives you power. In addition, different souls you encounter in hell have their own story. Once you find them you can also read through all of it in form of document. So for those who are interested, this is definitely a plus.
FREE DLC IF YOU OWN PS3 COPY: If you buy this game for PS3, you get “Dark Forest” free single player DLC. It is a prequel to Dante’s Inferno story. Compare to game, it is not that great, but hey, it’s free :)
**************CONS.*****************
DUMBED DOWN BOSS BATTLES: While certain boss battles are great, others just seem plain stupid. Imagine you are just fighting a bigger version of enemy and you are simply defeating it by plain button mashing. And honestly compare to its competition (God of War, Devil May Cry, Bayonetta), the boss battles simply suck in this game (with exception of final battle).
FAULTY MECHANICS FOR PLATFORMING: There are certain areas where you will die even if you think you are jumping/grabbing correctly because of inherent imperfections of platforming designs or mechanics. The worst part is when you die, you lose everything you collected as these faulty designs/mechanics come not so long after few check points. Because this, you will find yourself going out of your way to absolve/punish same souls/finding treasure chests over and over again until you get everything right.
**************CONCLUSION*****************
So no, the game is not perfect, but it is not broken beyond hope either. It is definitely worth at least one playthrough simply because of it s gorgeous art and wonderful depiction of seven circles of hell. If you like action/adventure and heck&slash, certainly do give this one a try. I will give 8.5/10.

Being big fan of Naruto anime, this game was a must try for me. After finishing the game once finishing all of the main as well as most of side missions (~27 h) and playing some free and online matches, here is what I thought.
**************PROS.*****************
LONG AND FULFILLING SINGLE PLAYER STORY EXPERIENCE: Not being a big fan of fighter games, I was a bit concerned whether this game would have a good single player campaign. Now that I have finished the game I have to say I am quite satisfied and at points even impressed how nicely they have created single player story campaign experience. You will be traveling through a variety of areas (different villages, fields, hideouts, mountains from Naruto world) doing variety of missions and participating in some very nostalgic battles. Very impressed.
AWESOME ANIMATION OF NARUTO ANIME IN HD GRAPHICS: The creators have done wonderful job reincarnating the Naruto anime in this game by animating the anime characters to utmost details. The game looks spectacular in 720p graphics. There are many fight scenes where you will forget that you are actually playing the game, as the graphics will look so good (play Sasuke vs Itachi fight). I am so happy I am not disappointed in this area as this is the main reason I bought the game.
HUGE VARIETY OF CHARACTERS: Pretty much every single significant character you know from Naruto Shippunden anime is playable (starting from beginning of the anime to the Killer Bee-Sasuke fight). If you have seen the anime that is plethora of characters. Furthermore multiple versions of Naruto and Sasuke are also available so you can use ultimate jutsu of your choice (i.e for Sasuke long lightning blade or Amaterasu). In story mode depending on the mission different characters will accompany you and they are usable in different fights. Furthermore at the end of the game you can choose your own team so you can pretty much use every single Konoha character in story mode. Again very impressive.
GREAT MECHANICS FOR ONE ON ONE AND TEAM BATTLES: What good is a fighting game without good fighting mechanics? In this game you can have one on one battle or have 1 or 2 side characters supporting you offensively and/or defensively. The fighting mechanics are not as great as top notch fighting games, but they are still great and characters for most part are balanced. Combat controls are for most part simplistic enough, but yet have unique depth to them for advanced players. For example striking punch button will pull off variety of combos, but if you just button mash punch the enemy will easily escape using substitution and punish you. Thus, timing of your attack as well as awareness of enemy moves is very important to win a battle. You won’t be disappointed in this department.
VARIETY IN GAMEPLAY EXPERIENCE: Battles are not the only thing you will do in this game. In single player campaign you will travel through vast variety of land as described above. While traveling there will be plenty of side missions to finish and unlockables to find. In addition, there are plenty of mini-games such as catching birds and developing relationship with your comrades. This prevents the game from being redundant and if you like collecting stuff then this adds great length to gameplay.
LARGE OPEN WORLD: As you progress more and more through the story, you will open up more and more areas that you can revisit for various reasons. This was not a necessary addition, but I am happy it is there. If you want to unlock most of the things you will be revisiting many areas. I am happy there are stepping into this direction.
FORGIVING QUICK-TIME EVENTS: A lot of games use quick time events these days (i.e. pressing correct button at the right time during a cut-scene to beat up your enemy or dodge danger). While I don’t mind them in some games they get to be quite annoying as making one mistake will get you killed. Fortunately, that is not the case here. This game has some of the coolest cutscenes during the quick time events and if you get mesmerized by it and don’t press the right button, no worries, you will get one more chance with some health deduction. If you are attentive and you press the right buttons each time then the game will reward you with stars which will help you unlock “secret factor”. So happy about it.
RANKED BATTLE SYSTEM: Not much to describe here. The battles are ranked. The type of jutsus and combos you pull off, the time you take and the strategy you use are all taken into account. So this truly promotes you to pull up the best combos instead of button mashing your enemy to the death. This truly makes you an active participant rather than a passive person who is just trying to get through the game.
OPTION TO RELIVE PAST EVENTS: Yup, you don’t have to replay the whole game (or level for that matter) to relive past battle or cutscene. Once you collect the scrolls for the scene, the game allows you to simply replay it. If you didn’t get enough star rating or good ranks this is the chance to make up for it.
PLATHORA OF UNLOCKABLES: Other than in game battles, you can unlock story, secret factors, jutsus etc. There is just so much of it. So if you are a completionist, this game will provide you ample things to do.
HOURS AND HOURS OF VS BATTLES: When you are done with the game, you can of course spend hours and hours fighting with your friends on line or off line. These fights also provides you with “experience” which will help you unlock more stuff.
**************CONS.*****************
ELIMINATION OF SOME IMPORTANT EVENTS AND FAST FORWADING STORY: So this game covers large portion of Naruto Shippunden anime and so have variety of characters, but to cover the large portion of the story in relatively short amount of time, it removes some very important aspects of the story. With slight changes, they could have created a much better story experience. For example instead of focusing so much on doppelganger battles (real character vs fake character), they could have included some important fights such as that between pupateers or Orochimaru snake form vs Sasuke. So on the whole the directing is great, but if you have watched the anime like me, parts of the game will leave you somewhat dissatisfied.
***************CONCLUSION************
Contrary to the con. I mentioned, if you are Naruto fan, this game has hours and hours of entertainment to offer you. Whether you like the whole game or not, you will like battles especially those that are the highlights of the anime (Sasuke vs Itachi type). A must buy (9.4/10).

Can’t believe it is on PSP

Having played and loved Chains of Olympus on PSP, this was a must buy for me. After finishing the game once colleting as many upgrades as possible (~10-12h) and attempting the challenge modes afterwards, this is what I thought.
***********PROS***********
ORIGINAL GOD OF WAR EXPERIENCE EXPANDED ON PSP: Yes that means Kratos punishing enemies in the most brutal way possible with his chain blades, climbing/jumping type of platforming and plenty of exploration in ancient greek/roman landscape. This game truly delivers nearly the same experience as on PS2/PS3 God of War games. Quite impressed.
GREAT ARTWORK, ANIMATION AND GRAPHICS: The game looks even better than previous PSP God of war game. I truly can’t believe we live in an era where we can enjoy such graphics on a handheld device. Truly astonishing. Also, this game contains very elegantly designed characters, carefully crafted structures and sophistically designed levels. It truly lives up to expectation.
HECK&SLASH GAMEPLAY: Just like in previous PSP God of War, you will be able to pull wide range of combos using dual blades and other weapons. Compare to previous game you have access to more moves. Proper use of these combos will punish your foes in most ruthless manner and will give you bonus orbs (for upgrades) while simply button-mashing will get you killed easily. While the combat is not as strategic as say Devil May Cry games, it still delivers.
WEAPONS, MAGICS AND MORE: As you progress through game in addition to your dual chain blades, you will get access to some unique godly gears and devastating magical powers. Fortunately, these new tools of destruction are not simple rip off from previous god of war games, rather they are quite distinctive entities that when used right can overwhelm your foes or overcome indomitable obstructions. Some of them are quite fun to use.
UPGRADES: Just like previous God of War games, you can upgrade your blades, new weapons and magics giving this game an RPG element. Upgrading your blades unlocks powerful new moves through which you can improve your combos and punish your enemies better while upgrading your magic will give you an edge in battles that would be too difficult otherwise. These upgrades also encourage you to explore each and every corners of the game and do better in battles to get more orbs making the game all the more enjoyable.
GREAT STORY: Previous PSP God of War set up a huge bar in terms of story and I am happy to say the story for this game is even better than previous game. The story takes place between God of War 1 and 2. It has decent amount of twist in it and help you explain many thing that are not explained in God of War 2 and 3. Unfortunately, I can’t describe much without spoiling it.
VERY CINEMATIC: This game has some cutscenes that can go head to head with PS2 God of War games. Cutscenes, nicely designed by animators and carefully performed by voice actors, add great depth and drama to the story. Again can’t describe much, but the cut scenes towards the end are simply magnificent.
LONGER CAMPAIGN: Very happy to see it has longer campaign than previous PSP God of War. One thing I minded in previous game. So happy they improved it.
UNLOCKABLES: You can unlock Trials and art/video gallery after finishing the game. Trials provide you with challenges and adds length to the gameplay experience. Competing these trials and finishing the game on harder modes unlocks more just like previous god of war games.
*************CONS.*************
LAST BOSS BATTLE AND ENDING: It was pretty good, but I guess, I enjoyed the game so much, I had higher expectation for last boss battle. Don’t get me wrong, it was epic, but I wish it was longer and had some punches and depth to it. Same with the ending. It was good and appropriate, but I wish there was more to it.
**************CONCLUSION************
Chains of Olympus established great standards for God of War on PSP and Ghost of Sparta took the experience to the next level. So no complains here. If you like God of War than this game is a must buy for you. This is an experience you must not miss.

They pulled it off...... Almost

I am a big fan of Spiderman and seeing how this game looked, I had to give it a shot. I mean comic book like artstyle, 4 different versions of Spiderman and worlds and variety of villains, got to check it out. After spending 16+ hrs on this game (finished on normal mode and unlocked almost everything), here is what I thought.
******************PROS******************
AMAZING ARTWORK OF 4 DIFFERENT SPIDERMEN AND 4 DIFFERENT UNIVERSES: This is the first and foremost thing you will notice if you are a Spiderman fan such as myself. They have done really good job animating 4 different versions of Spiderman (Spectacular Spiderman, Noir Spiderman, 2099 Spiderman and Ultimate Spiderman), 4 different worlds and most importantly villains in 4 different worlds. As you progress further and further into the game, you will get to experience more and more of this variety and chances are you will like what you see.
13+ VILLAINS OF SPIDERMAN UNIVERSE: To me, after artwork, this was the strongest aspect of the game. There are 14 different levels. First is just tutorial. Then the next 12 levels you have 12 different bosses with different powers. So each Spiderman gets 3 different bosses each and then all 4 of them get to defeat one final boss in level 13. The best part is each one of these bosses is very artistically animated and for most part there is some level of creativity and variety involved in boss battles. Loved it just loved it. If you are a Spiderman fan you should buy this game just for this.
VARIETY OF SPIDER POWERS AND MOVES: While all 4 spidies have shared set of abilities and fighting moves (web swinging, sticking to wall, punches and kicking in combination with web etc.), each one has distinct powers, style and looks. Amazing spidy will do a lot of web based attacks, Noir has more stealth based attacks, 2099 can slow down time while ultimate spidycan use unique rage ability of venom based suit. Noir stealth mode was especially quite impressive. Reminded me of Batman Arkam Asylum.
VARIETY IN GAMEPLAY ELEMENTS: While a lot of gameplay in 4 worlds share common redundancy in terms of beating thugs and then beating bigger thugs and saving some civilians before you face off with bosses, they all have some very different gameplay aspects. For example, in Noir world you will heavily have to rely on stealth and in 2099 you will be doing cool things like chasing bosses while gliding through futuristic cities. Happy they didn’t make things too redundant.
INTERESTING FIRST PERSON HAND TO HAND COMBAT MODE: Each boss you face, there will face them in first person view mode where you get to give them a piece of your mind by punching, jabbing and uppercutting them. If a boss has given you hard time or annoyed you this is the time to let it all out. Furthermore, they also have some cutscenes where you dodge through enemy attacks in first person mode. I personally enjoyed it.
PLATHORA OF UPGRADES, COSTUMES AND UNLOCKABLE: Spiderman fans will love it. Every time you beat enemies you get experience points through which you can buy more moves, upgrade your abilities or buy costumes. This adds a lot to replay value to the game. Even after finishing it once (12+ hrs). This can get you to play it again and again. Some of the costumes you can unlock are pretty unique while others are just plain funny.
VIDEO, FIGURINE AND ART GALLERY: If you are like me, someone who doesn’t like to play through the game 10 times just to enjoy some in game cutscene, this is the game for you. Completing the game will unlock different movie, art and figurine galleries. Big plus.
DECENT VARIETY IN ENEMIES: Now this game doesn’t have as much variety in enemies as God of War or Castlevania games, but I am happy to tell you enemies in different levels are still somewhat different. My biggest fear in Spiderman game is having the same enemies over and over again. While in this game in all levels you will be fighting goons and bigger goons, they have have different looks from level to level. Not only that you will also need to change your fighting strategy to overcome enemies in different levels. Salute to the creators.
*******************CONS********************
REDUNDANCY: I didn’t mind it as much, but if you are someone who doesn’t like redundancy in games, then you will mind this. As stated before, one type of redundancy you face is beating goons and then beating bigger goons in all levels. But the one that can really get on your nerves at time is saving civilians. Fortunately, for most part, it is not as bad as these civilians won’t die easily if at all. And also we have to remember that this is a superhero game so I guess they had to push it in. Just wish didn’t have to save civilians so often.
*******************CONCLUSION****************
So the game is not perfect, but if you are a Spiderman fan like me, you will surely enjoy it. I truly enjoyed playing as 4 different Spidermen with different powers in 4 different world. Unlockables truly kept me coming back for more. I would give it 9/10 and highly recommend it.

Long entertaining RPG

I knew little about the fallout series before I played this game. Since Fallout series was popular and this game received great reviews , I decided to give it a shot. After finishing it (60+ hrs w/o DLCs; 80+ hrs with all 5 DLCs), here is what I thought.
**********PROS.**********
LONG, JUST VERY LONG AND ENTERTAINING RPG: These days when most of the games (even RPGs) are 10hrs, it was a rejuvenating experience to play this long RPG. Just like other RPGs and games in general, while some elements were redundant, it has plenty of variety to offer as you progress in the game. Even after playing 50+ hrs (not even touching the awesome DLCs), there were always exciting and unexpected events in the game. Great job Bathesda, great job.
CHOICES, CHOICES, CHOICES: In this game, just like Mass Effect and Bioshock, you will have to make choices, lots and lots of them. And each choice you make will have major consequence on the outcome your missions and game all together. Again wonderful job. There will be time you will make a choice, finish the mission, get the results and out of curiosity replay the same mission again (assuming you saved before the mission), to see what outcome you might have gotten if you were to make a different choice.
KARMA METER: The choices you make will give you extremely positive to extremely negative karma. And different karma will change behavior of people of wasteland towards you allowing you to do different missions, unlock different achievements and different rewards. Depending on the choices you make, you will turn certain groups into your friends and others into enemies. Words simply can’t describe the experience. You have to play it get the feel for what I am saying.
OPEN WORLD: Yes you are free to roam in wasteland and go wherever you want to go. I personally loved it. While to progress in the story you have to go to specific places on the map. You can take whatever route you can take and complete whichever missions you like.
SURPRISES WHILE ROAMING IN OPEN WORLD: This was one of the strongest aspect of the game. While roaming in open world and exploring new areas and wastleland towns, you never know what you are going to encounter. While a lot of open world games have the same type of enemies and areas in open world, this game will introduce to plenty of varieties. Can’t tell more without spoiling.
RPG ELEMENT: As you defeat enemies, complete missions, solve conflicts and progress through game, you gain experience and level up. Leveling up will allow you to enhance your traits and unique abilities (for example, your aiming, your melee power, unique abilities like your conversation skills, atomic explosion when you are damaged enough etc.)
COMBAT MECHANICS: The game is First Person Shooter for most part, but it has unique combat mechanic. While playing FPS, you can freeze time so do speak and target specific enemies part for higher damage of decapitate them. This can make game very strategic as some enemies faster or bigger than others and sometime enemies can have devastating weapons. So if you use this time freezing and aiming trait well you can target specific body parts or their weapons and slow them down.
VARIETY IN ENEMIES: A lot of long games becoming boring in short time as they have the same enemies over and over again. But that is not the case for this game. As you explore the wastleland, you will come across plenty of different enemies ranging from thugs and little creatures to heavily armored soldiers and super mutants. LOVED IT JUST LOVED IT.
DECENT STORY: While it is not the strongest aspect of the game, it does have decent story with somewhat of a suspense and oh depending on the choices you make, story and ending changes.
DIALOGUE TREE AND GOOD VOICE ACTING: If you played Mass Effect than you know what I am referring to. While talking to different characters, you can choose what you want to tell them. You can be charismatic and friendly or you can be rude. You choose. Again what you choose affects the end result of the game. To me what was nice was these dialogue were well designed and voice acting of hundreds of people you talk to was much better than what I expected. This truly makes gaming experience more rewarding.
(IF YOU HAVE GOTY)
FIVE DLCS = 10+ MORE HOURS OF GAMEPLAY: The five DLCs will add to the main story of the game, but in addition it will take to you to a hidden slave town, alient space ship, pre-nuclear explosion war era and on a mystic island. I loved all five of them especially the island and story+ dlcs.
INCREASE LEVEL CAP TO 30. If you don’t have these dlcs, you can level up only to lv 20, but if you have these dlcs you can level up all the way up to lv 30. That means more traits, more choices and more unique powers.
******************CONS******************
GLITCHES: This is simply unacceptable. There are glitches in the game that can make you go crazy. For example for me I completed a mission and I didn’t get achievement unlocked for that particular mission. Fortunately for 360 version a lot of these are fixed by patches. Nevertheless you will still encounter some.
LEVEL CAP: I also didn’t like you can only level up 20 or 30 depending on which version you have. I wish they would at least let you level up to lv 50 and get all the traits possible.
****************CONCLUSION*****************
I truly wish they would have worked hard to fix the glitches, but contrary to those glitches this game has a lot to offer. 80+ hr of gameplay paid me back every single cent I spent to buy this game. I highly recommend this game to RPG and FPS lovers. If you can get GOTY (9.5/10), if not then at least give normal edition a shot (9/10).

As close to perfect as a game can get

Before I played Mass Effect, I had no idea what type of game it was. As I loved Bioshock due to its Karma system, a friend of mine recommended me Mass Effect and now that I have played through Mass Effect 2, boy am I glad that I was recommended this game. So what is so special about Mass Effect.....
CHOICES/KARMA SYSTEM: In this game, you will have to make so many at many different levels and each choice you make will give you positive, negative or neutral karma and will have MAJOR impact on the game's story, missions and gameplay experience. You can be a paragon of justice or a renegade who gets the job done with whatever means necessary. Best part, you don't have to be either good or evil throughout the game, should you choose you can make both positive and negative karmic choices throughout the game. A lot of these choices will be made by simply having conversion with plethora of people in the game; however, you will also make choices by your action and type of character you choose.
MAKING YOUR OWN CHARACTER: In Mass Effect, you can be male or female of any ethnicity or color. In a lot of games you are stuck playing a character that you may not like. Not in this game. In this game, you can be any type of character you want to be. Furthermore, you can also choose class of your liking for your character. For example if you love different types of weapons, you can be a soldier. If you like sci-fi psychological powers, you can be biotic. You are a hacker, then you can be tech. And again, what you become will have great impact on your gameplay experience.
CREATE YOUR OWN TEAM: Along with your main character, you can also controller two other characters. Again, you can choose who those two characters can be. You can have a good looking female soldier, a tech specialist quarian, a violent krogan, a tactical turian, a biotic asari or a cyborg. Again who you have on your team will greatly affect how much you get out of your mission and outcome of your mission.
WEAPONS AND POWERS: As mention in above section, yourself and your allies can be from various classes and each weapon, armor and power you can use is upgradable. Throughout the game you will come across plenty of variety of weapons and armors (depending on how much you explore), each with their unique advantages.
OPEN WORLD GAMEPLAY: In this game, you have plenty of galaxies to explore. You can travel from galaxy to galaxy, landing on different planets as you wish. Plenty of missions and exploration. Just loved it.
VEHICLES: You have a vehicle for different planet exploration. So along with third person shooter gameplay, you also have access to this vehicles to search different planets for resources and blow your enemies into bits.
GREAT RPG EXPERIENCE: Leveling up can become addicting, especially since you have control over what particular traits you want your character or allies to have improved.
AMAZING STORY: It is possible to get side tracked by side missions, but the main story is freaking awesome and somewhat suspenseful.
GREAT REPLAYABILITY: The game was about 50-60hr long the first time around for me. If you play as paragon, you would want to play it again to experience the story as a renegade and vice versa. Especially if you decide to go after the achievements, you will be playing this game over and over again.
As for cons, the game does have some glitches and combat doesn't feel as smooth as I would like, but that will not bother you as this game has so much fun to offer you. If you like RPG, star wars and shooters, this is the game for you.
What's great about it: RPG, leveling up, choices, open world
What's not so great: elevator rides
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Halo Reach Game
By BigC561 from Laredo,Texas
This game is perfect i played the Beta and it was fun I've seen the forge trailer and how Bungie explains the forge part and it sounded pretty easy and fun because you can make objects float change color and make them go in the mountain or go inside other objects.......What i think you people should do is wait until the game is cheaper or if you want the special edition ones get it then.I would rather you all get the game itself.Overall this game is the best ,some people say there is a level like Star wars Battlefront the game.Who knows...

You people need to stop writing review before the game is released.
NO PLAYING BETA AND HEARING ABOUT IT DOESN'T COUNT.
