Addictive gameplay

Being a fan of Metal Gear Solid series, this was a must try game for me and after playing it for 40-60hrs, here is how I feel.
*************************************PROS****************************************
- Amazing gameplay: This really impressed me. I was not sure how Metal Gear in open world would turn out but I guess never doubt Kojima. He knows what he is doing. Just amazing gameplay really enjoyed it.
- Variety of weapons and tactics: What make this game really enjoyable is its wide range of weapons and tactics. Combine them you can come up with multiple ways to complete the same mission. Loved creatively using different weapons to overcome different challenges.
- Buddy System: In addition to weapons, you have access to customizable buddy (horse, dog, quiet and D walker). Won’t spoil much here but loved all of them, especially the D-walker. Loved roaming in the open world with D-walker. Very comical and fun experience.
- Some of the villains/bosses: Loved the design of some of the villains and bosses. Quiet, Man on fire and new metal gear were pretty neat.
- Initial story: The story starts out very strong and promising. Really enjoyed the act I story.
- Open world: Open world in Metal gear is not bad. I really liked African region as opposed to Afghanistan.
- Replayability: This game has many similar looking missions with varying challenges. They are great to try out with your different weapons and buddies. All of them are replayable.
*************************************CONS****************************************
-Incomplete story/rushed game: This was the most disappointing. When the act II started, I was very excited but then as I played through it and was disappointed to see that the story just leaves you high and dry (won’t spoil)
*************************************CONCLUSION*************************************
I really want to give this game 4 starts as its story ruined the overall experience but the gameplay is so amazing, I simply can’t. In most metal gears I have enjoyed story a lot more than gameplay, this is one metal gear where the gameplay is just mindblowing and better than its incomplete story.

Zombie killing fun-Simple as that

I have never played Dead Rising games before but since this one received great reviews, I gave it a shot and have to say... I am not disappointed.
***********************************************PROS***********************************************
- Fun Zombie Killing Gameplay: Gameplay is this games strongest suit. Traveling from point A to point B in an open world while massacring zombies never gets old especially after you build some fu weapons and vehicles.
- Constructing Combo Weapons: Most objects (broom, parasol, chair, guns etc.) can be used as weapons but where it gets really fun is when you combine these weapons to make combo weapons to inflict massive damage to zombies. Loved the super combo weapons. They are both fun and funny.
- Constructing Combo Vehicles: Like weapons you can also combine vehicles and make combo vehicles. I loved the motorcycle-roller combo. It was amusing crushing/burning zombies using this weapon. Another one that was quite amusing was motorcycle with blades that would chop through hordes of zombies.
- Humor in Boss Fights: While boss fights themselves were not enjoyable (see cons), I definitely liked the humor in them.
- Okay Story: For a video game story, it was not bad.
- Replayability: The gameplay is so fun, I see myself playing it for a long time.
- Additional Content: Added missions/weapons add to the longevity of the game.
***********************************************CONS***********************************************
- Friendly Fire: I wouldn't mind friendly fire if AI were not be stupid but it annoys me a lot how often AI operated NPCs get into your way when you are trying to take care of zombies.
- No Lockon in Boss Fights: This hurts boss fights a lot. What could have been fun fights ended up being frustrating because you can't lock onto them. Also hated some boss fight simply because you can't even see where you are being attacked from.
- Conflicting Theme: The story was on serious side but gameplay was more on the humorous side. But not a big deal. Still fun.
- Timed Gameplay: Didn't like this. If you don't accept side missions within some time, they are eliminated. Some side missions require you to find some items. When you are not looking for them, you will find these items everywhere but when you need them they can be hard to find killing some side missions.
***********************************************CONCLUSION*************************************
Contrary to a few cons mentioned above, this game was a lot of fun. Definitely recommend it.

Great conclusion to the Arkham series

I fell in love with Rocksteady's Batman game after playing Batman: Arkham City. That game was so amazing that it just blew my mind. Therefore I had to give this one a try. After finishing the story and playing new game+, here is what I think.
***********************************************************************************PROS*************************************************************************************
-Stealth and Combat Mechanics: This is what I liked the most about the Arkham City and also what I like the most about this game. You can take the enemies out sneakily or just beat them up using Batman's physical skills as well as unique gadgets. The game gives you plenty of options in terms of how you want to take the enemies out in most of the areas and one you master some basic controls this stealth and combat gameplay becomes quite fun and addicting. It was the best part of this game.
-Gotham Openworld Gameplay: This game has a very nicely designed Gotham city with a lot of buildings and structures straight out of comic book which is great fan service. Also the city is larger compared to all of the previous Batman game. I loved going around the city both in batmobile as well as gliding. I also liked how it gives you option in terms of whether you want to go after a particular villain or stick to the main story. Very nicely done.
-Batman Armor and gadgets: The new batsuit is simply mid blowing. I loved the armor like looks of it. This game also has a lot of the bat gadgets from previous game as well as some new ones. They make the combat and gameplay quite fun.
-Batmobile/Tank gameplay: Another great addition to the game. Like the design of the Batmobile. Also liked how batmobile can be used side by side with physical combat. Many people complained about Batmobile turning into a lethal tank. But I didn't mind it. To go against an army you would need something like tank.
-Story and Villains: Again very faithful to the comics. Really like how this game has a wide range of Batman villains. Also liked the story for the most part. It was probably the most climatic story where at time the whole Gotham city changes. Truly very nicely done. Not only the main story but some side stories were also very suspenseful. Bravo!
-Humor/Jokes: This was probably the second best part of the game for me. For sake of avoiding spoilers, I won't say much but this game had the best jokes of all three games. There were times I laughed so hard that tears came out my eyes. Again great job.
-Upgrades: You can upgrade your batmobile/tank, gadgets, batsuit and combat moves upon gaining experience. Adds RPG element to the game making it more enjoyable.
-Replayability: This game has a great story and amazing gameplay. I would replay it again just for that. But in addition, it also has new game plus mode. So those who are looking for challenge, just go for it.
-Bonus content: Tons and tons of bonus content. I really liked some of the costumes and Harley's quest
***********************************************************************************CONS*************************************************************************************
-Batmobile/Tank Gameplay/Boss Fights: I liked the addition of Batmobile but this game relies too heavily on it. It can difficult for those who are not good with Car games. While I was able to complete all the missions at times I found the car gameplay to be too frustrating as I would be bumping it everywhere and doing more damage to Gotham than the enemy cars I am chasing. Also it would be too annoying to restart the whole mission just because you make one mistake and you lose track of enemy car or boss. Also some boss fights were very disappointing as you end up fighting them in your Batmobile. I was truly expecting physical combat with bosses like Arkham knight and a boss who takes his place as commander (don't want to spoil either's identity). I almost gave up on the game as I was having too difficult of a time defeating Arkham knight during the tank gameplay and Riddler during his final car race course.
-Arkham Knight: I didn't mind the fact that Arkham knight was who I thought he would be but it was disappointing how the game doesn't do enough to throw the player off. Also as before hated how after the tank, car and stealth battle with Arkham knight there was not a physical battle to elevate the conflict to the next level. I would have rather remove the tank fight and add physical fight.
***********************************************************************************CONCLUSION**********************************************************************************
Contrary to the cons described above, this is a great game which is a must buy for those who liked Arkham city and the Batman/Action/Adventure game fans in general.

Great Boss Fights

Posted by: Daveak47

I previously played Demons Souls and Dark Souls and loved them. Since the same team made this game, I happily gave it a try and here is what I thought.
*************************************************************************PROS**************************************************************************************************
-RPG/Gameplay mechanics: Gameplay is what makes this game the most appealing. It allows you to customize your character design and class. And you have chosen your character, it gives you option how to level the character up in terms of whether you want to invest more in character's strength, stamina, health etc. It provides your character with a variety of moves and forces you to use them in strategic way to overcome different challenges.
-Gorgeous Scenery and Creative Openworld Design: The open world in this game is fairly huge. While different areas can be accessed in somewhat linear manner, it gives you plenty of choices to create shortcut between different areas. Depending on how you play, you can also access certain areas early on in the game to get better weapons and items and even skip areas/bosses if you just want to finish the game. Overall the open world in this game promotes exploration by hiding different bosses and items in different corners of the world.
-Horrific Bosses and Unforgiving Enemies: The enemies and bosses are really nicely animated in this game. They truly give the feeling of horror. True the bosses and enemies in this game can be challenging in the sense that they can do quite a lot of damage to a low level character. But once you figure out tricks to defeating them, the experience becomes quite rewarding. And there is always option of leveling up and/or taking help from other players to clear a level.
Trick weapons and guns: This is one of my favorite aspects of this game. I loved the different trick weapons in this game. The way they transform is simply amazing. Transforming them gives them different set of moves/ability. Plus when they transform the sound they make is pretty nice.
Online multiplayer: In this game you can co-op with other players to take their help or help them to clear a level. Alternatively you can challenge a player/ a group of players to gain blood echos (the currency of this game). This is very creative online design. Loved it.
Dungeons: In addition to the main story, the player has option to explore different dungeons. Player can create their own randomly generated dungeons or join a dungeon created by a different player. Dungeons have unique loots/rewards making this experience optional but yet rewarding.
Lasting value: It will take you long amount of time to complete the story itself but if you attempt to defeat all the bosses including dungeon bosses this game can easily last 100 plus hours.
Re-playability: As if above is not enough, you can always start a new game plus keeping most of your item/equipment and current level and refinish the game taking on to the tougher version of enemies and bosses.
*************************************************************************CONS**************************************************************************************************
Later game scenery/Dungeon multiplayer/player matching: I loved the scenery in the very early game when the character in town. I didn't like how later in the game it becomes similar to souls games. Dungeon multiplayer works but sometimes it can be difficult to connect with other players. It becomes really difficult to connect with other players if your level is too high. Though I have to say compared to previous souls games I actually liked how this game connected with you with other players and with different patches they are fixing a lot of connectivity problems.
***********************************************************************CONCLUSION********************************************************************************************
This is a must play game whether or not you played previous souls game. If you like RPG, heck&slash and openworld, you don't want to miss out on this experience.

A sprawling metropolis in the not-so-distant future. Premise: A catastrophic event has left the city in ruins and most of its inhabitants are either dead or have been transformed into horrifying mutants. For most people, being dropped down into these kinds of circumstances would mean certain death. Not only are you fighting for survival in a postapocalyptic city, but you're attempting to escape the nightmarish transformation that has claimed most of the survivors. Good thing you're not like most people.Dive into the open-world shooter of Sunset Overdrive, and prove that you've got what it takes to survive catastrophe. With a knack for traversing the ruined city with hyper agility, it's a simple matter to survive postapocalyptic conditions. When it comes to the mutants, not only are you escaping their transformation, but you've found your true calling — mutant destroyer. A fully loaded arsenal of overpowered weapons back you up and make it totally clear that the end of days is just the beginning for you. It's your turn to star in this end-of-the-world storyline.

A fun humorous game

I am a fan of Insomniac studio (the same people who created Resistance series on PS3) so even though I couldn't get into this game by watching its trailers, I had to give it a try. I have to say it was nothing like I was expecting and it blew my mind.
****************************************************************************PROS*******************************************************************************
Stylish and fluid gameplay: This is the biggest strength of this game. While difficult at first, I loved the fluid movements you can do in the game. Jump, wall runs and air dash reminded me of Devil may cry. Loved going from one end of the city to another defeating enemies using variety of fun weapons and pulling stylish acrobatic moves.
Fun and colorful weapons: Really loved them. In the beginning you start out with some ok weapons but as you progress through the game you get some really awesome devastating yet funny weapons. Exploding teddy, firecracker gun, hairspray gun etc. are all fun to use to defeat different enemies and the explosion/impact they produce is quite enjoyable.
Variety of enemies and bosses: When I saw the trailer I was worried that I may be just fighting mutants but once you start progressing through the game, you get to face different types of mutants, robots as well as human enemies. It was quite fun using variety of weapons on them. Really enjoyed some of the bosses like frisco bots.
Humorous missions: All and I mean all of the missions in this game are extremely funny. There were times some jokes made me laugh so much that I had to pause the game. Bravo to the creators!
Beautiful open world: Found it quite fun to traverse through the open world of this game. Even when on the missions sometime I would just wonder off as some parts of the town would look quite appealing. Loved jumping to the top of the tall building, surfing on the bodies of water, grinding on the bridge and fighting different enemies in the carnival settings.
Upgrades, perks and collectibles: As if main and side missions were not enough, this game has tons and tons of collectibles that helps you obtain different upgrades and perks.
Online play: Yup in addition to 60+ hrs of missions and side missions there is online play that will unlock more unique weapons.
Replayability; All the missions and side missions are replayable. Loved replaying many of them especially excalimune sword mission. Really fun.
****************************************************************************CONS*******************************************************************************
Learning curve: This game can be difficult at first as controls are a bit novel. But once you get used to them, the game becomes quite fun.
****************************************************************************CONCLUSION*****************************************************************************
Truly hope they make a sequel. I really enjoyed this game. The gameplay was solid and the story was as humorous as I have ever experienced in a video game. I hope I get to experience more in the future. I wouldn't give many games 10/10 but a perfect score for this one. Well done Insomniac.

Highly addicting!!

After missing so many pokemon games in between, I recently played pokemon X and most recently omega ruby. After completing both of these games, here is what thought of omega ruby.
*************************************************************************PROS*************************************************************************
Combat/level up gameplay: This is the number one reason to play the game. It offers strategic combat and rpg like leveling system. I find such gameplay to be highly addictive. I like the ideas of unlocking new moves by leveling little monsters and creating a unique team to overcome a variety of challenges.
Evolution/Mega-evolution: This is what really got me into the pokemon series. Not only you combat and level up with your pokemons but many of them evolve into meaner and tougher creature as combat and level them up. I really love the design of some of them. I also like the the concept of mega-evolution. It pumps the combat with even more energy.
Story/Journey: I found the story/journey of this game to be the most fun of all the pokemon games I have played so far. I especially liked the ending scence after you become the champion. With me exploring as much as I can on my own, this game has lasted me 80 hr plus.
Post-game bonus story: As if the story was not enough, this game offers a post game story called delta episode where you dive even deeper into the main story while combating new foes and catching rarer pokemons. Love it.
Variety of pokemon: This is perhaps one of the strongest suit of this game. It offers a huge variety of pokemons. So most likely you will find some companions you will enjoy through your journey. And if you are collector, you will find yourself playing this game for a very long time.
Legendaries: This game has a decent amount of legendaries. Some say that is too much. I say there is no such thing as too many legendaries. I enjoyed catching all of them.
Open world/rematches: Like previous game, it is an open world system that you gradually unlock. Liked the idea of re-visiting places and having rematch with different in story players.
Graphics: Big improvement in graphics compared to games before pokemon x/y. Definitely makes playing this game more rewarding.
Timing(the good): A lot of things such as mega evolution and certain legendaries are unlocked relatively early in the game. A big plus!!
Online component: Online battles, trading etc. is also a plus.
*************************************************************************CONS*************************************************************************
Missed opportunities/Timing(the bad): I feel that after so many generations, they should start unlocking things even earlier. For example a huge variety of regular as well as legendaries are not available to you till near the last gym. I feel that is too late. I say after 4th gym is a good time to unlock variety of pokemons. That way player can play with pokemon of their choice. Towards the end you do end up getting access to these pokemons but then there is relatively less to do with them (still this game is better than X/Y in terms of the post game activities.) Also not every journey needs to start with new novice character. After so many generation, it may be time to have an experienced character start the game and have early access to things such as mega-evolution.
*************************************************************************CONCLUSION*************************************************************************
I really enjoyed playing this game for the reasons described above. I am hoping I won't have to wait too long for the next installment in the series.

I liked the previous Killzone games especially Killzone 3 which blew my mind. Looking at trailers, this game looked gorgeous so I decided to give it a try. Here are my thoughts.
********************************************************************************PROS*************************************************************************************
-Gorgeous mind-blowing graphics/scenery: This is the reason I loved this game. The graphics in this game are absolutely mind-blowing. The Vekton city, the vivid colors and lovely scenery are just amazing. This made traveling through the campaign very enjoyable experience.
-Gameplay/OWL: I will be honest. In the beginning I found the gameplay to be slightly frustrating as it is a bit different than the previous games. Especially the stealth part. But later on, I really enjoyed it, especially because of the personal drone you get in this game named OWL. It is one of the best and the most useful companion you can have. With OWL and different weapons you get throughout the game, you can use different strategies to defeat different types of or groups of enemies. This makes the gameplay strategic and fun. Once I got used to it, really enjoyed it.
-Story (the good): I felt that previous Killzone stories were very black and white (good vs evil) which is not necessarily a bad thing. But I liked the story in this game a bit better as it portrays the good and bad of the both humanoid races (Vektons and Hellghasts) that are at conflict with each other and draws a relationship between them. Very heartwarming.
-Decent voice-acting/drama: There are three characters in this game that are very well portrayed through decent voice acting. They have done good job drawing relationship between these three characters.
********************************************************************************CONS*************************************************************************************
-Campaign\Story (the bad): The beginning of this game absolutely makes no sense whatsoever. If you know the ending of Killzone 3, it just doesn't make any sense what happens in the beginning of this game. I understand it is just a fictional game but this is an absolute miss. Also the stealth portion of this game is very frustrating. In addition, there are parts of the game where it is very confusing to find your way to move forward.
-Multiplayer: It was totally bland. I tried a few different modes but very few players and pretty simple and boring design.
********************************************************************************CONCLUSION*************************************************************************************
I had high expectation of this game after playing Killzone 3 but as you can see from the CONS., I am a bit disappointed. But with the reduced price, I would definitely definitely recommend playing this simply to enjoy its gorgeous campaign and strategic OWL based battles.

Great Boss Fights

Heard good things about this game so I bought it and gave it a try. Here is what I though of it.
************************************************************************PROS******************************************************************************
Great combat:- This is the best aspect of this game. In the beginning when you have limited weapons and knowledge of the game, it won't be fun but once you gain different type of weapons and magic, the combat becomes very engaging and addicting. To save or sacrifice choices make the combat strategic and fresh.
Amazing bosses:- This is other aspect that promoted me to move forward in the game. As you finish more, you face more and more interesting bosses with different abilities. It was fun to come up with different strategy to beat bosses.
Great Weapon/Magic variety:- As mentioned before, there are great variety of weapons and magics you can unlock in this game. What is more impressive is the combos you can do with different elemental weapons and magic, which make battles very enjoyable and addicting.
Decent challenge:- Different mission are ranked in terms of their difficulty. So you can finish them according to your comfort. This way if you are not ready for harder missions, you can refinish the easier missions, collect more items, strengthen your weapons and magic and then take on the difficult missions.
Good Story:- I was not expecting much in this direction but this game has probably one of the better stories I have experienced in games.
CG scenes and Graphics:- Very gorgeous. Definitely a plus.

Redundancy:- This is the most frustrating aspect of the game. The game is long but you end up variable version of the same boss over and over and over again.
Weapon evolution method:- Again you have to beat the same level again and again to evolve certain weapons. Not fun.
************************************************************************CONCLUSION******************************************************************************
All and all it way enjoyable. Now that prices have dropped, definitely worth getting it.

This is one of the most underrated series. Since I really liked the first and the second game, I gave this one a try as well. Here is what I thought.
*******************************************************************PROS*************************************************************************
Unique FPS gameplay with very unique weapons: This is the best aspect of the game.Weapons are the best aspect of the game. Each weapon comes with primary and secondary fire. They range from rifles that can tag and track the enemies to the ones that can shoot through the walls. Really enjoyable.
Amazing Story/Campaign: I was quite surprised by this. I found story to be interesting in the previous games but this game probably has the best story of all. It is quite personal to the main character and at the same time also ties things to what is happening in the alternate history of the world where alien chimera is taking over the earth.
Strong character portrayal: The voice actors have done amazing job conveying the story. A great incentive to move forward in the game.
Gorgeous graphics and nice music: The best graphics in all of the three games and the music goes well with them. Makes your journey quite enjoyable.
Enemy design: While all of the enemies look like chimeras, there is decent variety of them from small grunts to big chimeras to zombie like chimeras. Makes you think hard about what strategy to use.
Multiplayer: I didn't explore much, but liked what I played.
*******************************************************************CONS*************************************************************************
-Ending: Could have used slightly stronger ending. Don't want to spoil by describing it.
*******************************************************************CONCLUSION*************************************************************************
I felt that this was an excellent addition to the series and a strong conclusion to the series. Highly recommend this to FPS and action/adventure lovers.

Seeing trailers, this game looked quite interesting, so I bought and finished the campaign and here are my impressions.
*************************************************************Pros*************************************************************
-Gameplay: This is the best part of the game. Going around the gorgeous version of Seattle, defeating enemies and bosses while enjoying the story with different powers... quite enjoyable experience.
-Powers: Highly unique powers. Very creative of developers. Really enjoyed the laser and video.
-Campaign/Story: Simple story but is driven by good motives. Encourages the player to finish the story.
-Voice Acting/comedy: Main character's brother is the best. Made me laugh so much during one of the missions. The voice acting for other characters is well done as well.
-Graphics/visuals: Extremely gorgeous visuals. Powers look very nice well designed alternative Seattle.
-Side missions/Spray paint: Much better side missions than previous games. Spray paint missions are quite unique and well done.
-Bosses: Again very nicely done. Boss fights are truly enjoyable. I really liked the last boss fight.
*************************************************************Cons*************************************************************
-Enemy powers/late unlocks: While there are few different types of enemies, I wish they had enemies with different powers. One of the main powers is unlocked pretty late in the game.
*************************************************************Conclusion*************************************************************
All and all the game was quite enjoyable. I hope they create a sequel with better connection to the original infamous game.

The Halo Reach Game
By BigC561 from Laredo,Texas
This game is perfect i played the Beta and it was fun I've seen the forge trailer and how Bungie explains the forge part and it sounded pretty easy and fun because you can make objects float change color and make them go in the mountain or go inside other objects.......What i think you people should do is wait until the game is cheaper or if you want the special edition ones get it then.I would rather you all get the game itself.Overall this game is the best ,some people say there is a level like Star wars Battlefront the game.Who knows...

You people need to stop writing review before the game is released.
NO PLAYING BETA AND HEARING ABOUT IT DOESN'T COUNT.
