a good movie

Probably not as good as the original two but still a good movie to watch. This time Michael Corleone is older and ready to retire from the mob life, but like he said in the movie,' Once I think I'm out, they pull right back in.'

This retro-styled crime drama gets a solid presentation for its release on DVD. Mobsters has been given a letterboxed transfer at its original widescreen aspect ratio of 1.85:1, which has been enhanced for anamorphic playback on 16 x 9 monitors. The original English-language soundtrack has been mastered in Dolby Digital Surround, as are alternate dubbed tracks in Spanish and French; the disc also carries optional subtitles in English. The film's original theatrical trailer has also been included as a bonus.

If you like those mob-style movies, than this is another one that you will like. The movie is based on how some of the legendary mob boss got their start.

Pure Columbian Greatness

The raise and fall of Tony Montana is one of the greatest rags to riches story from a drug dealers' way of life. A movie that is pure greatness

This release finds Michael Mann's epic crime drama Heat getting the two-disc deluxe treatment from Warner Bros. that it most certainly deserves. The widescreen anamorphic transfer preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of the film, and showcases both Mann's precise framing and Dante Spinotti's first-rate cinematography. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. Mann provides a commentary track for the film. While Mann may not be the most electrifying speaker, he does share a great deal of information about the making of the film. Eleven deleted scenes are included, as are five documentaries about the film. The documentaries cover such diverse topics as how the script bounced around Hollywood for decades before the film was made, a look at the real police officer whose story inspired the film, a visit to the film's locations a decade after filming occurred, and a breakdown of the infamous scene between stars Al Pacino and Robert De Niro.

You have Pacino as a cop, De Niro as a criminal mastermind and both are extremely perfect together. This action-pack movie is just pure greatness

Stephen Hopkins' adventure drama The Ghost and the Darkness comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1. English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital Surround, while a French soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Surround. Spanish subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials are limited to a theatrical trailer. This Paramount disc does a superb job of presenting the film, but offers little else.

Both Val Kilmer and Michael Douglass are just brilliant in this thriller movie about two lions in Africa on a long killing spree. This movie is intense and will have wondering if the lions are truely the kings of the jungle

Come on, Don Cheadle is pure greatness in this movie. This movie tells the story that most inspiring NBA players should watch, because you get to see what might if you are only a Hood All-Star and not a pro

A great way to end?

If this is the end of Pirates, what a way to go out. This movie had everything in it, because it took almost three to finish, but its great anyway.

Sam Raimi's stylish Western The Quick and the Dead comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. A closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1, while a French soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Mono. Subtitles are available in both of these languages as well. Supplemental materials are limited to a theatrical trailer. The widescreen image captures Raimi's distinctive visuals, making this a disc worthy of attention from his fans as well as from DVD collectors.

Pure greatness, yep one of those great western that would have you trying to watch every western ever made. You have thing you wanted in this movie, an outlaw villian who just so happens to be the law, a mysterious woman looking for revenge, a young cocky killer trying to get the proval of his father and a gang of unforgettable characters that will entertain you through the movie

A young boy grows up among a makeshift family of oddballs and dreamers in this adaptation of Ruben Santiago-Hudson's acclaimed one-man show. Ruben Junior (Marcus Carl Franklin) is a young boy who was born in the late '40s into a family that started crumbling not long after he was born. Ruben Junior's parents were from Lackawanna, a city in Upstate New York, and were living in a rooming house run by Nanny Crosby (S. Epatha Merkerson), whose place was a hub for the local African-American community. When Ruben Junior's parents split up, he and his mother return to Lackawanna and Nanny's rooming house; with mother overworked physically and in sad shape emotionally, Nanny takes Ruben Junior under her wing, and offers him the sort of nurturing she gives all her boarders. Nanny's house is full of people struggling for a fresh start in life, ranging from former convicts to recovering drug addicts, and she opens both her doors and her heart to them as they strive to make themselves better people. Ruben Junior finds a loving home amidst the colorful eccentrics in Nanny's circle of friends, but as America changes over the course of the 1950s and '60s, so does the neighborhood where Nanny and her tenants live -- and not for the better. Produced for the premium cable network HBO, Lackawanna Blues features a stellar supporting cast, including Delroy Lindo, Louis Gossett Jr., Rosie Perez, Jimmy Smits, Jeffrey Wright, Mos Def, and Ernie Hudson.

This movie is great and you might be able to relate to most, if not all the characters in the movie. Nanny who could remind you of your grandmother that refuses to let a stranger in her arm reach to go hungry. Crazy neighbors that only the neighborhood understand. And just that feel of family all around, that was soon forgotten now-a-days

F. Gary Gray's 2003 crime caper remake The Italian Job comes to DVD with this Collector's Edition from Paramount Pictures with a widescreen transfer enhanced for 16 x 9 televisions. Dolby Digital Surround soundtracks are available in English and French with optional English subtitles. Includes the featurettes "Pedal to the Metal: The Making of The Italian Job" and "Putting the Words on the Page for The Italian Job." Three sections focus on specific production details: "The Italian Job Driving School," "The Mighty Minis of The Italian Job," and "High Octane: Stunts from The Italian Job." Other special features include deleted scenes and theatrical trailers. This is a worthwhile disc for those who really care about how action scenes are constructed. Paramount has also released this film in a separate full-screen version.

Not as good as I wanted it to be

This movie is like watching a low-budget version of Ocean's 11, but not that good. The only highlight of the movie was Mos Def, and he actually stole the movie from everyone else.
What's great about it: Mos Def is great as an actor
