This is the second most acclaimed Dylan album of all time. Featured are "Rainy Day Women #12 & 35" and "Just Like A Woman", but here is so much more to this album than that. His songwriting shows a new maturity and sensitivity which are extremely refreshing. Critics and followers alike hailed this as his best ever. Though that can be debated, this is no doubt that this represents one of the best efforts he has ever presented to his vast audience. Excellence is rarely achieved but once by an artist in the music business, but Dylan keeps on making his own rules. An absolute neccesity for any collection ? THE ANSWER IS A DEFINITIVE "YES".
What's great about it: Fantastic performance of excellent material
This album is monumental in Dylan's career. It represents the first album performance featuring his use of the electric guitar. Side A is exclusively dedicated to this new found sound, while he returns to his roots on side B, reportedly to pacify folk purists. Both sides are exceptional. Two of his most memorable and critically acclaimed compositions appear on the album-"Mr. Tambourine Man" and "It's Alright Ma (I'm only Bleeding)". This transitional album is a collector's item and should be cherished as such. It takes Mr. Edison's invention to new heights.

One of the world's best composers, Ennio Morricone, deservedly won international acclaim for this "spaghetti" western soundtrack. The movie was a blockbuster at the box office, and this album became the same in the music world. Morricone's use of unusual sounds to punctuate the compostions (the whistling, the "twangy" guitar effect, etc.) are a part of the reason. It is also why this is such a memorable work. This soundtrack definitely should be in the collection of all movie and music fans. especially those who have enjoyed this masterful work through 4 decades.
What's great about it: Imaginative music with unusual, distinctive treatment
AC/DC strikes again with outstanding performances and excellent material. They seem to never diappoint on any album released - and this oft overlooked album is no exception. Devotees to their music genre will be extremely pleased. Others, who are not as familiar with their work, will be surprised and soon be coverts of one of the hardest working bands in the music business. Australia, the land down-under, has provided us with many things which have captured the imagination of millions of Americans. AC/DC is worthy of that distinction.
What's great about it: Great Energetic Performances As Usual
Andy Griffith offers his most understated best on this album from the "60's. Present are all the classics such as "What It Was Was Football" , "Romeo and Juliet" , and " Hamlet". His performance is crisp and downright hilarious at every turn. The album's success was a groundbreaker and paved the way for future "country comedians" like Jeff Foxworthy; but, Griffith is still the master as demonstrated here. For all who grew up with "The Andy Griffith Show" (and who didn't) this is a must buy album-not only for the laughs, but to discover the pure genius that generated them.
What's great about it: Andy Griffith performs his most famous comedy hits
This is undoubtedly the Best Movie Soundtrack ever to hit the shelves. The CD is almost as engaging as Martin Scorsese's IMAX film production of the same name was on the screen. Mick Jagger and company-along with guest performers such as Christine Aguilera- make this unforgettable. New renditions of their old hits are refreshing, as are the the new found energy demonstrated by the Stones. A "must have" for any serious rock/blues fan.
What's great about it: Engaging Performances By the Rolling Stones
This is a terrific album, with performances from Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristopherson and company finally surpassing the mediocrity of their first effort at producing a memorable album. The artists blend their talents , respect for each other, and the genuine love for entertaining their fans into an experience which should be experienced and cherished by all Country fans.

Van Morrison is terrific on this album. This album chronicles his evolvement from his stint as the lead singer for "Them" to his becoming a legenday performer in his own right. Every cut on this album demonstates this development from a singer for a garage/blues band to a major force in the music industry. This is a necessity for EVERY music lover, no matter what genre of music they prefer.

Two comedy geniuses , Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner, strike again. Some 35 years after the original album, Brooks revives his 2000 year old man character- with Reiner as the interviewer- answering a myriad of questions about witnessing people and history from the past. And as before, this premise works with hilarious results. THIS IS A MUST HAVE ALBUM FOR EVERYONE WHO ENJOYS A GOOD LAUGH !
