Amazing Display!! 10/10

The Samsung Odyssey 34 inch Gaming Monitor is an amazing display for the serious gamer and multitasker.
I have had a lot of really cool monitors over the past 20 years. From the oversized CRT’s in the early 90’s to the Apple Cinema Display of the 2000’s and now I have what I consider to be the best PC monitor I have ever owned. The Samsung Odyssey is the perfect blend of everything you could want and need in a gaming monitor.
Initial setup took less than 5 minutes. Samsung makes it very easy to assemble and once constructed the monitor is beautiful to look at. It is surprisingly light for its size with a gray metal finish and razor thin curved screen. They’ve even added lighting behind the monitor itself that can match the displayed colors on the screen for a more immersive experience. The monitor has multiple usb c inputs, an HDMI mini 2.1 and a DisplayPort but surprisingly didn’t include a normal size HDMI port. I used the DisplayPort input for my pc with the cable that came with the monitor. Samsung didn’t include a Mini HDMi cord which I thought was a mistake because not everyone has a DisplayPort input and if you use a HDMI to usb-c cord you’re limited to how good the cable is for refresh rate. Also it seems that Mini HDMI cords are hard to find because Best Buy doesn’t even carry them. Once hooked up I turned on the monitor and was immediately greeted with more of a TV like experience than I was expecting. The monitor has apps and a Samsung game hub to go along with the PC input. Netflix, Disney+ and YouTube are all readily available. The game hub is pretty sweet as well because I was immediately able to login to my Xbox account and utilize the cloud gaming platform they have to play Xbox games. The monitor streamed them seamlessly, only hiccup I saw was the full screen wasn’t utilized for the apps.
The PC input though is the bread and butter of this monitor. Coming in at a whopping 3440x1440 this screen has some real estate. With a 175hz refresh rate and a .03ms response rate this monitor is buttery smooth. Every game I throw at it looks amazing with rich colors and true blacks that only can come from an OLED monitor. Games like Forza Horizon just look stunning and Apex legends, which can be intense on a monitor, played flawlessly. I love this monitor, when playing FPS it almost feels like the view is panoramic. The monitor also has quick gaming settings that can be adjusted depending on what type of game you’re playing by holding down the pause button on the remote. Speaking of the remote the one thing I wish they did put on it would have been a PC input button. It is slightly cumbersome to have to hit the home button then find the pc input after using an app. But that’s a small complaint and really the only flaw I’ve found besides the lack of a regular HDMI input.
Overall I am very impressed with the quality of this display. If you’re looking for a widescreen gaming monitor that also functions as a TV and a Xbox gaming hub while also being an amazing everyday monitor in terms of sheer real estate look no further. Samsung hit it out of the park with this one. It is by far the prettiest monitor I have ever owned and I look forward to using it for many years to come.

Great Product and Clever Marketing

The Manscaped Power Duo Plus is a cleverly marketed grooming package for anyone who wants everything to stay nice and tidy.
I’m sure you’ve all seen the Gronkowski ads promoting the manscaped Lawn Mower. They’re funny commercials promoting the ability to shave your nether regions without having to worry about abrasions like a normal trimmer. I decided to give myself the manscaped treatment and have tested out the trimmer for your groin, ear and nose and have my results!
The Electric Groin trimmer or “Lawn Mower 4.0” as they call it is a sleek looking device. The unit needed to be charged out the box and fits nicely in the charging holder provided. After charging I put the Mower to the test and I can confidently say the ads are true. The trimmer gets the job done while simultaneously not having to worry about clipping yourself in the wrong areas. I came away impressed. I would recommend the trimmer to anyone wanting to get a close shave and not worry about hurting yourself in the process. The fact that its waterproof makes it useable in the shower as well, which is a nice touch.
The Manscaped Ear and Nose trimmer is a first for me. I’m 38 so lately I have noticed hairs growing from new places in my ears, which is kinda weird and unsightly to me. So suddenly I have a need for a ear and nose trimmer. The device charges quickly as well and from what I can tell so far the battery life is good. The trimmer does the job well and I was able to trim all my nose and ear hairs. The one thing I did notice that I’m not sure if it was just my trimmer or not but when the button is flipped into the on position it takes a very particular motion to get it to move down to turn off. It took me putting my nail on the top of the switch and applying direct pressure. I couldn’t do it with one hand just sliding it down with my thumb and I’m not sure why the switch was that hard to shift. Again it might just be my particular trimmer.
The final piece of the set was the Crop Cleanser. I usually shy away from using any type of special soap but I gave this a go and it seemed to work fine. It says it helps to reduce odors which I can’t really agree with since your goods end up smelling like a mountain forest afterward. All in all I’m not sure its something I would buy regularly but its cool that it was included.
Overall I think the Power Duo Plus is a great product for anyone looking to trim their nether regions and unsightly ear and nose hair. The company Manscaped has a pretty extensive website along with a beard trimmer and other soaps and products that I suggest checking out if you like the initial purchase.

Amazing Projector! Go Buy it NOW!

The Epson Ultra LS800 Ultra Short Throw Projector is the coolest device I’ve ever owned, period. I’ve always wanted a projector but never felt it was practical to hang one from the ceiling and do the whole movie theater setup in our home. The LS800 solves that and turns any wall in your home into a 150” movie theater while only having to sit less than a foot away from the wall and doesn’t require a screen to work properly. I’m absolutely blown away by this product.
Initial setup took about an hour. The projector is a bit beefy, weighing about 27 pounds and taking up a decent footprint on my family room hutch. While this is an amazing projector there are some nuances to it that should be discussed. Our family room hutch sits about 3-4 feet off the ground and we have 10 foot ceilings in our home and because of that I can’t display the projector at full size without the screen leaking into the ceiling. Luckily the screen is moveable and adjustable and in the future I might consider getting a lower sitting hutch so the projector can display at full size. The initial picture looked slightly warped and uneven but that’s adjustable with the front legs and a dial on the back that changes the perspective of the screen. There are settings in the projector itself that you can manually adjust portions of the screen to make it fit your wall. There also is an Epson Settings Assistant app that automatically adjusts the screen by taking a picture, but the only problem with this feature is that when I go to take the picture it resets the adjustments I previously made and since the hutch sits too high and the screen is now displaying on the ceiling the app adjustment doesn’t work, forcing me to it manually. Nonetheless I am very happy with the size of the screen as it’s current size is way bigger than our previous 75 inch tv.
After initial setup I downloaded all my streaming apps and connected my Xbox One X to test out the colors and picture quality. Unfortunately Netflix is not able to be downloaded through the Android store. You will have to purchase a fire stick or Roku in order to watch Netflix on the projector. I’d be curious to know why Netflix isn’t available as I have an android Hisense tv in our bedroom and it includes Netflix. It’s a minor issue but means that one of the 3 HDMI ports will now be taken up by a Roku or fire stick. Disney + looks amazing and 4K content streaming from YouTube is absolutely stunning. The only imperfections actually come from the fact that the projector is displaying on my wall so if you have any imperfections in the wall they will become visible but not enough to bother me. Honestly for displaying right on the wall with no screen the picture is still gorgeous. We will probably look at getting a screen in the future because this tv is not going anywhere anytime soon and I’d be curious to see the difference with a proper white projection screen. One setting that is useful for displaying on the bare wall is you can alter the colors based on your paint color. Once I switched to gray it made the colors pop that much more! There is also a manual adjustment lever on the side of the projector to increase clarity and a handy size panel to hide all your inputs cleanly. There are 3 HDMI 2.0 ports with 2 supporting 4K and there is a dedicated 3rd gaming HDMI that supports 120hz/1080p signals. It took me a few minutes to realize that the 3rd HDMI gaming port was a separate button on the remote rather than under the normal inputs section. Once I found that input and turned on my Xbox I went into the settings on my Xbox and realized that it will display 4k but only at 60hz. The projector will display 120hz but only in 1080p. Not a huge deal but something to be noted. Games look beautiful and I’m in heaven playing them on such a big screen. I’ve always wanted a huge projector to play games on and I couldn’t be happier with the results. With any projector it’s better if you have a slightly darker room but I am pleasantly surprised by how well the projector holds up during the day time especially not having a white screen to project on. The sound on the projector is great as well. The front 2.1 Yamaha speakers are actually quite impressive and will do the job if you don’t have surround sound but luckily the projector has an optical output so I immediately hooked it up to my surround sound!
Despite a few small quirks with the screen size I couldn’t be happier with the Epson LS800. It turns any wall in your home into a movie theater!! I’ve always wanted a projector and now we have one in the home and I’m a kid in a candy store. This projector will stay in our family room for years to come and I can’t wait to have countless football parties and movie nights in our home with this beauty. If you’re considering getting one I can’t recommend it enough because every time I turn it on the biggest smile comes on my face. What more could you ask for? Go buy it now!

The Perfect Setup for 1+Gb Internet Speed

The Eero Pro 6e is the perfect mesh system for high end internet speeds of 1+ gigs and anyone looking for a user friendly Wifi setup.
This is my first time using an Eero product and I’ve been very impressed. I’ve always used Linksys routers in the past and had a mesh system with them in place before I received the Eero Pro 6e system. The Linksys system was always bit of a pain to setup, the steps seemed easy enough but sometimes it would take multiple attempts for the different nodes to connect to the system. With the Eero I didn’t have any of those problems whatsoever. Setup took less then 15 minutes and was so simple I believe my 70 year old mother could have been able to setup this product and she’s SUPER tech challenged. The Eero’s came packaged in a sleek box and the nodes themselves are small, compact and sleek looking. Each unit has 2 ethernet connections so if you have devices that you want to hard wire in that is possible. Initial speed tests showed me getting over 900mbps throughout my entire home which is a huge upgrade considering my last system was only getting about 500-600 even though we have 1 gigabit AT&T fiber. I was able to even get those speeds sitting outside my home which is very useful if we want to maybe stream to devices outside when we have people over to watch football games.
The Eero app is user friendly and has a host of cool features but unfortunately some of them are only accessible through the $99 dollar subscription program they have. With Eero Plus You can create profiles if you want to control what kind of sites or apps your children are able to access. You can see historical data and use DDNS features as well as Ad blocking and VIP support. One free feature that I found very useful is being able to dim or completely turn off the status light on the Nodes themselves. I know it sounds silly but my TV sits across from our bed in our master bedroom and there’s a small white light similar to the Eero status lights that I cover up almost every night so its not beaming at me like a headlight. There are some more advanced features that are free like Port Forwarding and DHCP & NAT. But I admittedly probably won't use those features very much, but I'm glad they're available.
Overall I am very happy with the Eero 6e Pro system. It finally allows us to hit gigabit speeds throughout the home while being user friendly and super easy to setup. I highly recommend it.

Amazing Gimbal for your phone! Highly recommended

The DJI Osmo 6 is an amazing phone gimbal. I have been using an Osmo 2 for the last few years but the Osmo 6 is a serious upgrade to my previous model.
Setup takes less than a few minutes, you download the DJI Mimo and pair it with your smartphone and you’re off and ready to go. A nice new feature of the osmo 6 is that when you unfold it it automatically turns on. If you need to start recording quickly that is a great feature. The holder for the phone is magnetic and will stretch wide enough so that you can leave your phone in a case, which my previous osmo could not do. The osmo will also automatically open up the Mimo app upon connection! The stabilizer for the phone is much more fluid and stronger than previous models. Sometimes with my osmo 2 if I didn’t have the phone balanced in the right spot it would kind of flop over and be non functional. I didn’t experience that at all with the new osmo 6, even with the added weight of a case. The active track 5.0 is phenomenal and allows you to stay focused on a face or object. The osmo will keep it in focus the entire time no matter which way you turn it. They’ve also added the ability to extend the osmo with a retractable arm that will allow you to get more people in the frame or get lower to the ground effortlessly. The osmo also has 4 shooting modes: Follow, which follows the gimbals pan and tilt movements. Tilt locked, which only uses the gimbals pan movements. FPV mode, which utilizes all 3 axes of the gimbal which is the mode I use the most for Real Estate video walkthroughs. Spinshot utilities the joystick to rotate the camera to make dynamic footage. Finally there’s a new side wheel which allows you to zoom in and out effortlessly while recordings. All of these features combine for a very good phone gimbal. I highly recommend the osmo for anyone who needs an inexpensive gimbal to stabilize photos or video. It really is one of the best products that DJI makes in my opinion.

The Hyperice Venom 2 Back is a great portable back warmer and massager. After unboxing I plugged it in for 6 hours as instructed and then used it for the first time. The Venom 2 has a power button and 2 buttons for heating and massaging that each have three different settings. The heating elements I must say get warm very quickly and feel nice on your back. The highest settings wasn't too hot that it was uncomfortable. The heating elements heats for about 5-7 minutes and then automatically shuts off. A quick tap of the button will turn it back on. The massaging feature has three different settings. One is a long continuous massage, another is a pulsing massage and another is an intermittent jolt. Combining the heating and massaging elements together feels good on my back after a long round on the course. The velcro holds nice and tight around my waist and the neoprene is a good material. I will say I think the only gripe I have is that the battery life isn't that long. I believe the heating element only works for about an hour total before it needs recharged or about 4-5 heating cycles. I haven't tried keeping the product plugged in, but the main reason I believe for the price is the portability factor which could be better imo, so that is really the only gripe I have. If you're only going to be using it for 30-45 minutes each day around the house doing chores its the perfect choice, but don't buy it if you need continuous portable wear throughout the day because it won't go the distance.

Great TV for Gaming and 4K Content!

Hisense is a brand I’ve become more familiar with over the last few years. I have a 65 inch that is primarily our bedroom tv and it’s been a solid performer and held up well. When I had the opportunity to review this new U8H Quantum ULED I was excited because I was curious to see if the Mini LED technology was a big leap and I’ve been blown away.
Initial setup of the tv took less than 5 minutes. The tv is packaged very well and has two base stands that can be put at different widths if you don’t have a wide enough piece of furniture to hold the tv. The tv is sleek and very thin and light for its size. The tv updated itself and I was able to get setup with Google quickly and it automatically logged me in with my YouTube tv app. I must say that if you have YouTube Tv this tv works beautifully with it. The Home Screen shows the channel list and favorites on the main screen along with all the apps available. It’s seamless and works really well. The tv itself has 4 HDMi inputs with 2 of them able to do 2.1 and 120hz. There’s also a digital optical and 1 composite video input and 2 usb 3.0. The tv supports the new wifi6e so streaming movies is a breeze and super quick and responsive. I was actually very surprised how fluid it is because I thought my tv was good before but this one kinda blows it away with processing speed.
So let’s get to the meat and potatoes of the review which is picture quality. This tv has new Mini-Led technology that basically is a bunch of smaller LED’s that rival OLED picture quality without the worry for screen burn in. The technology also improves black levels and contrast and I can confidently say this is one of the prettiest tv’s I’ve ever owned. The colors are beautiful with deep blacks and crisp whites and the screen is BRIGHT. I actually had to adjust the backlight down a bit which is usually not a common occurrence with LED’s. I’ve really been impressed with how content looks streamed on this tv especially for its size, 75 inch tv’s have come a long way. The tv supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos sound and I’ve been satisfied with the results. I have a home theater setup so I will be using my bigger speakers most of the time.
This tv supports a lot of features that will be important to gamers like HDMI 2.1, 120hz VRR, HDR 10, Freesync Premium pro and Dolby vision gaming. I have to say these features combined with the Mini LED technology make for the prettiest gaming tv I’ve ever owned. Forza horizon 5 on my Xbox series X looks absolutely stunning. No screen tearing whatsoever! I am absolutely giddy with how beautiful video games look like on this tv. I really feel like Hisense hit a home run with this one.
The only issue I’ve had with the tv that I want to point out is it was very hard to figure out how to turn on the 120hz. Hopefully this is fixed in a future update because It’s nowhere to be found in any of the regular settings. I searched for 20-30 minutes with no luck and finally was able to figure out that I had to turn on my Xbox and put a game on that supports HDR and then click the menu button on the remote and there’s a setting for HDMI enhanced that needs to be toggled on. Once that is done the tv will display HDR10 and 120hz. I really think Hisense needs to make this feature easier to find because most people won’t even realize how to toggle it on/off or will just use the display at the lower settings and not even know it. Other than that the tv is perfect!
To summarize I really am impressed with this U8H Quantum LED tv. It has everything I could ever want in a tv with responsive apps, quick WiFi, and features that gamers like myself are looking for. For the price point I really don’t think you can go wrong purchasing this tv. I highly recommend!

Great On the Go Laptop!

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 is a fantastic laptop for anyone looking for a well rounded, easy to use laptop for everyday use. Coming in right at 2.5 pounds, this laptop is light and easy to transport. The sage green color has a beautiful finish to it. The computer comes with 2 inputs a standard USB and a USB-C port along with a headphone jack. The touch screen is responsive and bright and the keyboard is snappy and feels at home right away under my fingers. Initial setup only took me a few minutes and I put the computer through normal testing to see how it would respond. Apps are snappy and load quick due to the SSD onboard Hard drive. With no moving parts anymore Hard drives have come a long way in reliability and speed. The graphics card in this laptop isn't going to be top of the line, but it handles Youtube and streaming videos very well so it should do the job for most consumers. Sitting with it on my lap while typing this review the laptop stays quiet and cool which is a plus as well because some laptops tend to get very uncomfortably hot after a while. Windows 11 also comes with the computer and has a very Apple like OS feel to it that I enjoy and is very user friendly. Overall this laptop is a great choice for anyone looking for a normal everyday laptop for at home or school work. The Microsoft Surface series is a very dependable line and you can't go wrong with this Laptop!

Magnetic hold could be stronger with a case

I own a few Anker products including USB hubs, other battery packs and USB plugs and cables for my iPhone. They’re a brand that’s done very well for themselves over the last 10 years becoming synonymous for quality through Amazon. I have been happy with all the products I’ve ever bought from them. Which brings me to the Anger 633 MagGo Portable Magnetic Battery. It is a great overall battery pack that has a great premise but slightly misses the mark where needed most, its magnetic strength.
The Battery pack came in a nice small package. I always recommend charging these units to full strength in the first use. I plugged mine in and let it charge up and then attempted to just set it up against my phone. I have an Otterbox thinner style case and the Anker battery pack will barely attach with the case on. It will do it, but not very well and not as well as I had hoped. I am a person that uses the phone with a case 24/7 so unless I can get a different thinner case this won’t really work the way it needs to for my everyday use. With the case off the magnetic strength is good and definitely stronger but I still don’t trust it for every day use. A little momentum and the battery pack and phone easily separate. The kickstand is a nice touch as well but again it won’t work unless you have the case off. The one thing I do like about the easy separation with a case on is that you can set it down easily on a counter and it will work and charge and then you can just walk up and pick up your phone and be on your way and leave the battery pack behind. So on the go charging it’s not that bad.
Battery life for the unit is pretty solid. It definitely does at least a full charge on my iPhone with room to spare. And had a USB C and USB A plug for other devices. The battery feels solid and has a nice matte finish to it. Overall I like the battery pack and if you’re in the market for one I would definitely give this a look but don’t rely on the magnetic charge for everyday use unless you plan on using your phone without a case.

Great Lightweight Full Size Vacuum!!

The Shark Stratos Upright Vacuum is a powerful and lightweight addition to the Shark lineup.
Initial setup was super easy and breezy. Took less time to put it together then it did to unpack it, which is always nice! This particular model comes with an Odor Neutralizer style plug in that snaps into the base of the vacuum. Three attachments come as well with a narrow suction tube, a flat T style piece and a Powerfins HairPro attachment to use on stairs and furniture. This will be my third Shark vacuum and they always seem to make a solid product that can really withstand the common household use. The previous model I had that compared most to this would be the Apex Duo Clean. I really put that vacuum through some tough tasks, including vacuuming an entire upstairs worth of dust that had accumulated under carpet that we ripped up when we moved in. It’s still running fine, but a new vacuum makes the wife happy so here we are.
The Stratos is lighter in weight compared to my earlier Apex but it sure doesn’t lack suction power. One thing that I think is important with a vacuum is how does it roll while in use? Is it effortless and glide well while still getting the job done? The answer with the Stratos is Yes to both. It is a very powerful vacuum that feels good rolling across the floor and it sure picked up a lot of dust off my area rug as you can see in the photos. It works almost too good as you sometimes can’t believe how much dust it actually is pulling when you consider your house to be "clean". It has three power settings for Hard Wood, Carpet Low Pile and Thick Carpet/Area Rug. I found them all to be appropriate suction settings. The only thing I will warn about in my usage so far is the Powerfins attachment on Hard floor is a bit much. It’s REALLY powerful, almost too powerful. The middle setting is the sweet spot with that attachment. The nice thing about these attachments and the brush rolls underneath is that they're made of a plastic that seems to do well with hair. I vacuumed upstairs where my wife travels most and didn't notice nearly as much hair buildup in the main brushes compared to my Apex Duo. When it came to empty the vacuum it is super easy to dispose of waste. With a click of a button the middle compartment releases and you can take it over to the trash can and release your dust with a back lever press. The middle unit as a whole will also detach as well for use on stairs and hard to reach places. The main brush can turn into a longer attachment that can go under couches. The odor neutralizer in the new model is a nice touch as often vacuums can start to smell like dust when you vacuum often so it no doubt helps with that over time, but will ultimately need to be replaced. Not a big deal but time will only tell how long the cartridges last.
Overall I was very impressed with the performance of the Stratos Upright Vacuum from Shark. It is a versatile vacuum with a ton of suction power and a lightweight frame with good attachments that make it a great purchase for any household in America. I highly recommend it, and the Shark Brand!

By now everyone knows about the commuter and defender otterbox series. The otterbox has recently gotten sleeker, shedding alot of the extra bulk from previous generations, so I decided to go with this model for my Iphone 6. It fits the phone nicely, the only gripe I have with the case is there is a little bit of wiggle room at the top kind of like a gap between the hard and soft plastic. I'm not sure if this is true to all the commuters, I may go back tomorrow and try and find another commuter that might fit better.

Opted for the Symmetry

After having this case for almost a week now and the gap between the plastic not going away I decided to go check out the symmetry series. Although it doesn't have the screen protector, and the hole for the Apple logo on the back, I actually feel like the symmetry is sturdier and sleeker than the commuter.
On a side note I spoke with Otterbox about the commuter to see if maybe the case wasn't supposed to have the gap and it was a manufacturing issue. She said they had more than a few reports about it, and that they are looking into whether or not they need to make a change or whether it was a certain supplier that had the error. She told me to hold onto my case and check back in a few months and that if they made any adjustments they would gladly replace it for free. So worst case scenario you buy the case, it has a slight droop in it for a few months while you wait for Otterbox to perfect the case and then you call in and get a replacement for free because they already know about the issue.

Yes it can support up to 5. But with 3 you can cover a 6000sq ft house. So unless you live in a huge house you don't really need more than 3.
