This ASUS laptop plain and simple is a BEAST. It is overall the sleekest and most well thought out computer I’ve ever owned in my 20+ years of PC ownership, period. Go Buy It NOW!
The Asus laptop comes in a very nice box that actually props the computer up as you open it (kudos for that nice touch). I did notice other than that there wasn’t much in the box other than a power supply, but honestly there doesn’t need to be. Setup was flawless, did all the major updates and graphics card updates and was ready to go in about 30 minutes. Out the box this thing is a supercomputer. Using CPU benchmark I hit UFO status on all three bench marks and ranked in the 95th percentile for computers everywhere. The Asus interface for changing settings inside the computer itself is intuitive and easy to use. Once switching to performance and Turbo mode the computers performance really started to shine even more. I love that they have the ability to configure your computer how you’re using it at the time to best suit your needs. Asus is really right on the thumb of what gamers really are looking for in a computer.
The screen is gorgeous and almost completely edgeless, its bright, and shows great shadows while playing FPS’s and probably better than any monitor I currently have in my home. Playing Microsoft flight simulator for the first time made me want to cry a little, it was so gorgeous. The laptop handles any game you throw at it with ease and then some. Apex legends looks way better than even my XBOX ONE X. With a 1tb ssd, ninth generation i9, along with the 3060 its a legit powerhouse combo that can’t be matched anywhere else, ESPECIALLY since its portable. The fact that all of this power comes in a laptop is ridiculous. The Dolby atmos speakers are phenomenal as well. I’m a huge music guy so the sound is incredible, any video or playing any game the laptop sounds like it has complete surround sound, its unreal for a laptop. The fingerprint scanner is a nice touch and the keyboard is one of the best I’ve ever used EVER.
I literally can’t say anything bad about this laptop. It is the epitome of what a computer should be. The fact that you can have such a powerhouse computer in such a sleek and portable design is amazing. I would highly recommend this computer to anyone. Hands down the best PC I’ve ever owned and I will cherish this laptop for years.

Great Microphone for the Money!!

Shure has built a great microphone for DSLR recording with the VP83F Lenshopper. Out of the box the microphone needs some refinement, mic peaks, tight dB range before you wreck the audio and captured way too much outside noise for a condenser mic. Once you refine the settings though (30 out the box tinkered it down to 20 db) and then it sounded incredible. Voice is studio level clear, and the noise you're trying to capture whether it be crowd noise or your own voice for vlogs, is rich and robust. It commands attention when you hear it back, making it perfect for online videos for Youtube or other platforms. The fact that also the mic is relatively lightweight and can function as a hand held mic away from my camera on the go with its flash recording is well worth the price tag. For someone who is budget conscious with their next purchase, and looking to get the most microphone for their money, this would take priority over a new lens or camera. I'd much rather improve my audio, and you cant beat the versatility or functionality of the mic at this price point. My only complaint would be you need a lot of AA batteries on hand as it will go through them fairly often with flash recording. All In all though I HIGHLY recommend this microphone for anyone looking for a solid option to their DSLR camera.

Amazing 280hz Gaming Monitor

Asus has built a really solid gaming monitor with the 27 VG279QMY. Sporting an insane overclockable 280 refresh rate, 1 ms response time and full HD 1920x1080 this monitor out the box is ready for any game you throw at it.
Setup was a breeze and I was up and running in less than a few minutes. The monitors design is sleek and would look good with any gaming rig setup. It has 2 HDMI and Displayport, USB, with a headphone jack and a tilt-able and turnable monitor which is a nice touch. Also I appreciate them including cables in the box! The monitor is an IPS display so its great at all viewing angles and also sports displayhdr 400 technology along with Gsync for anyone using nvidia cards!
This monitor was definitely designed for a serious gamer, it has plenty of software options for adjusting Refresh rate and lag to fit the style of game you're playing. I noticed that the monitor does particularly good with FPS and in low light and shadows. I am having a blast with it on Apex Legends as the monitor is responsive and shows zero lag whatsoever. Coming from a 3 year old monitor I'm noticing a huge difference.
The only drawback I see really is the speakers. They're very poor quality and honestly just kind of feel like an afterthought. But honestly I use my headphones bout 90 percent of the time anyways, so its not a big deal!
All in all I can't say enough about this Asus monitor. It's feature rich and has all the technology that you will need for the next few years as games catch up to the 280hz refresh rate! I am very happy with this monitor and you can't go wrong with it!

Amazing Piece of Machinery.

The DJI FPV drone is in a class by itself. I have owned the Phantom 3, the Mavic Pro and now the DJI FPV and I have to say the FPV is the first drone that I’ve had that feels like you’re truly flying. This drone is amazing in every sense of the word!
Initial installation and setup of the drone was relatively painless. I had a small issue getting my phone to recognize the drone during initial setup but I quickly realized it was because my phone was below 20% battery. So bit of advice when you’re setting up, have a fully charged phone! All the instructions were clear and concise and the added tutorials in the apps themselves along with the flight training is a very solid way to introduce anyone to the drone. This drone is very robust and sleek compared to the Mavic and bulky Phantom. The new controller no longer has a hookup for your phone since this model utilizes the FPV googles.
This is the first drone I’ve used that has a FPV google set and I’m absolutely hooked. I never really realized how connected you could be to the drone using a headset. The FPV makes you feel free as a bird. Initial first flight was so mind blowing. When the drone powers up it sounds like it means business! Once in the air I was just absolutely thrilled with the flying sensation. The ability to dive quickly and bank and turn at relatively high speeds is such a difference from drones I’ve owned previously. Dont get me wrong the Mavic Pro is a nice drone and I’ll continue to use it for photos but it pales in comparison to the experience of flying the DJI FPV. The transmission is crystal clear and beautiful the entire time with little to no latency and the quality of the photos and video are just unreal. Slow motion videos with 4k capabilities, burst photos etc, it does it all and we haven’t even gotten to M mode yet.
This drone is special because it can do things that a lot of other previous DJI drones could not which is marry video flight with barrel rolls and flips to make some really beautiful videos. But let me be clear Manual Mode is no joke. The Flight App that you can download from DJI allows you to train yourself in how the mode is different and how to master it. There are time trials, flight simulations, free flight and tutorials all designed to make you a pro before you put your $1200 dollar drone out in the real world. I found the app very enlightening and I’m very happy I used it before I took it outside for my first M flight, if not it would been disastorous. But once you truly get the hang of M mode it’s like a whole new drone all over again. I am looking forward to really spending some time mastering M mode to make some truly special videos.
Get a carrying case and get more batteries. The one battery it comes with is not sufficient, but if you’ve ever owned a drone before you know this.
All in all I am absolutely thrilled with the DJI FPV drone. It finally to me is what a drone from DJI should have felt like from the start. Obviously it took years of development to get here but now that the FPV is here I am excited to see what the future holds for drone flight from this company. I highly recommend this drone, I can’t recommend it enough!

Amazing Scanner, I highly recommend!

I really can't say enough good things about this scanner. EPSON really has a winner here if you need documents, receipts, checks or other items scanned in a quick and efficient manner. I am a real estate agent and constantly out in the field signing contracts and documents and the EPSON ES-500W makes converting these into digital form a chore of the past.
Setup was probably one of the easiest for a product in recent memory. Usually you laboriously have to connect the device manually with a cable and then connect through the wifi and that requires typing in on a small screen and then disconnecting the device, but the setup for this took less than 2 minutes through an install on my computer. The program automatically synced my wifi without asking for the password and before I knew it the scanner was ready to go. After that the Scanner worked exactly as advertised. One button scans wirelessly tells my mac to load the scanning software and the Scanner works through document like its on overdrive. Stacks of documents are done in mere seconds and are perfectly scanned into my computer. Receipts are perfectly scanned front and back and checks are even scanned in color with all the ink lines in perfect pristine condition. Like I said earlier being a realtor I need to scan everything for tax and compliance purposes. Before I would either have to use camscan on my phone or scan them in one by one with my older scanner. This literally will save me hours upon hours of time over the course of ownership. I couldn't recommend this scanner more if I tried. If you're thinking about buying a scanner for this is by far the best scanner I've ever used and highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Great Dumbells, Ok App.

The JaxJox Dumbbell Connect is a great in home solution for someone looking for a digital adjustable dumbbell set, but the APP and AI tracking is sadly not ready for prime time. I was very excited to try out these weights as I had been wanting an in home adjustable weight set. Setup was easy and only took a few minutes. I found it kind of funny they sent a HUGE instruction booklet and it only had 5 pages I really needed. Linking up with the phone app was easy enough and I was up and running in a few minutes. Quick weight selection from the base or the phone app only takes a few seconds when it comes to adjusting on the fly. This to me is one of the most important features and it works as advertised. The uniform dumbbell shape is nice, and I enjoyed having the flat side on the bottom for stationary placement from the floor. The weight sets have a good build quality to them and I am happy with the feel of them so far. But for the price it does worry me about the what if’s. A Weight set like this should last 10-15 years easy if I were buying an adjustable non digital set. Only time will tell how long the charging base and digital weight adjustment holds up. This brings me to my one negative about the weights, the app and the AI. The app crashed frequently and wasn’t very intuitive. Classes didn’t really seem to fit the weight set I had very well, I tried a few different ones but some of them didn't even increase weight at all during the class. Some videos demonstrate good form which is a nice touch, but I find that the classes may not fit my style of strength training very well. Also the bluetooth connectivity supposedly tracks reps, sets, total weight etc and also “power” in your movement when you hit the start workout now button. Only problem Is it didn’t track very well when I used it and even recorded a 72,100 rep workout on a day I didn’t even touch the weights. So hopefully these kinks with the APP and the AI can be worked out long term. Other than those small issues I love the weight system and look forward to using it for years to come.

Amazing Little Portable Drive

The SanDisk - Extreme 1TB External is a super fast and portable NVMe Solid State Drive. SanDisk has combined a lightweight and durable hard drive with blazing fast NVMe speed. This is a huge upgrade compared to previous USB 3.0 External Hard Drives. This hard drive is solid enough I feel like I can take it with me and not worry about damaging it anywhere I go. I am a professional photographer so I always need to have an external with me when traveling or editing. I am very impressed by the read write speed of the drive and if you had USB-C it really takes advantage of that higher speed. It's also fast enough to work directly off of using Lightroom and Photoshop which isn't always the case with USB 3.0 Drives. All in all I highly recommend this drive to anyone who is looking for a fast efficient and portable rugged Hard Drive.

Great Updated Radar Detector for 2020

The Escort Max 3 Radar Detector is exactly what I needed. I am a real estate agent and I find myself driving into new neighborhoods all the time and this device already in a week has saved me probably 3 tickets. Max 3 is smart, intuitive, and a perfectly updated radar detector for 2020. The App is easy to use and took me less than a few minutes to setup. The Max 3 came with a nice carrying case.
The sticky pad for the mount is very sturdy and secure and the magnet mount on the device itself is especially nice for easy on and off removal. I love the mute button on the power plug and the devices ability to learn false readings. Over the past week we drove 400 miles to Georgia for a wedding and the Max 3 helped us throughout the entire trip. The app is community based like Waze and allows you to inform other drivers as well as receive real time alerts for Air Patrol, Red light cameras and local speed traps. It displayed the local speed limit on our radar detector as well. Overall I am very very happy with the Max 3 so far and am delighted to have it in the car for foreseeable future and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great detector with bluetooth functionality and a solid travel community based travel app.

The Vitamix 12 Cup Food Processor is a great accessory to an already amazing blender.
The Vitamix Ascent 3500 pairs with the Food Processor to make a high-powered slicing and dicing machine! The 3500 is a robust and powerful blender with Bluetooth connectivity. Using Self Detect technology and your smart phone the Vitamix App knows whether or not you have a normal blender or a food processor container attached to the blender base. Its super cool and something I never even knew I wanted or needed until now. The app itself can control the blender and on top of that has 100’s of different recipes with ingredient lists, nutritional facts, and the order in which you should add the ingredients to the mixture. It will provide me with plenty of ideas going forward and I’m really excited to try all of them out. I really am blown away by how good their app is.
The food processor itself is super solid piece of equipment. It’s a very hard plastic that feels like quality, but won’t break if you drop it on hard tile. It comes with multiple blades and a nifty plastic storage container for all of them. The processor pairs beautifully with the blender if you just want to go old school and pulse as needed. My mother in law this weekend used it to make chicken salad and it worked beautifully and was super easy to clean up. The release button under the handle is particularly useful to release the plastic from the blending base to just clean the plastic container. It’s almost like Vitamix thought of EVERYTHING when they were making this. I’ve never come across a more intuitive Food Processor and I’ve used a lot of different ones in the past. This food processor is everything I could want and more in a blending system. I am a huge believer in Vitamix now and look forward to having this appliance in my kitchen for years to come!

The Best Blender I've Ever Used.

This Vitamix Ascent 3500 blender has absolutely blown me away.
I already had high expectations for the Vitamix brand. I’ve heard nothing but good things and I briefly used one in the past. This Ascent 3500 is truly a remarkable machine because not only is it a quality blender, but the app and Bluetooth connectivity put it over the top as an All in one blending powerhouse. I am blown away with the App. The blender detects what attachment you have on the blender via Bluetooth so it knows if you have a normal blender or a food processor on top. It also has nutritional facts, ingredients, serving size, and even the order in which you should add the ingredients to the blender in an easy to follow process. Giving you access to 100’s of recipes for free with all the tools you need to fully utilize the Vitamix in every way.
The blender is a solid, well-built piece of machinery. The machine itself is heavy and robust and has a clean stainless and black look that belongs in any kitchen. The blender container is the nicest I’ve ever had in a blender and I’ve had them all, Kitchen Aid, Blendtec, Ninja etc. It’s a very nice hard plastic with a detachable lid. It just feels solid in your hands, and I think would be hard for anyone to break, but also wont shatter if it hits the tile. It feels like a very high-quality smoothie blender, and that’s exactly what I was looking for. The blender has 5 easy buttons, a start/stop button and a pulse button. When you crank the dial up it blends perfectly every time, doesn’t shake everywhere, and has a TON of power. Some blenders I’ve used in the past when you really crank up the dial it will give off that burnt smell, not with the Vitamix. I use my blender daily for smoothies so it’s been fun really getting to know this blender over the last week or so.
I really can’t say enough good things about this blender. The recipes on the app will allow me to try out a bunch of different recipes in the future and really push this blender to its limits. I really look forward to having this in my kitchen for years to come.

By now everyone knows about the commuter and defender otterbox series. The otterbox has recently gotten sleeker, shedding alot of the extra bulk from previous generations, so I decided to go with this model for my Iphone 6. It fits the phone nicely, the only gripe I have with the case is there is a little bit of wiggle room at the top kind of like a gap between the hard and soft plastic. I'm not sure if this is true to all the commuters, I may go back tomorrow and try and find another commuter that might fit better.

Opted for the Symmetry

After having this case for almost a week now and the gap between the plastic not going away I decided to go check out the symmetry series. Although it doesn't have the screen protector, and the hole for the Apple logo on the back, I actually feel like the symmetry is sturdier and sleeker than the commuter.
On a side note I spoke with Otterbox about the commuter to see if maybe the case wasn't supposed to have the gap and it was a manufacturing issue. She said they had more than a few reports about it, and that they are looking into whether or not they need to make a change or whether it was a certain supplier that had the error. She told me to hold onto my case and check back in a few months and that if they made any adjustments they would gladly replace it for free. So worst case scenario you buy the case, it has a slight droop in it for a few months while you wait for Otterbox to perfect the case and then you call in and get a replacement for free because they already know about the issue.

Yes it can support up to 5. But with 3 you can cover a 6000sq ft house. So unless you live in a huge house you don't really need more than 3.
