Not All Laptops Are Created Equal!!

I have been a PC gamer since the late 90’s early 2000’s. I remember when a gaming desktop weighed 80 pounds and had multiple hard drive bays for 20 gigabyte hard drives and CD-RW writers and 512 MB of ram was a huge deal. To see what pc-gaming has become in 2024 especially in the form of a laptop is astounding to me. Asus was a big motherboard brand back when I did my pc builds, but they never really were big on computers in general. Fast forward to now and I believe that Asus is the best out the box gaming setup you can buy, period. I am reviewing the Asus-ROG Zephyrus G16 laptop today and I feel blessed to have this computer in my hands. It is an absolute BEAST of a machine in such a tiny package its incredible. If you read no further than this just know that you 100% can’t go wrong with this laptop, but let’s dig into the review!
Initial impressions of the laptop out the box were shocking. How could such a powerful machine be put into such a paper-thin aluminum chassis? The laptop is only .59 inches thick which is insane! Asus has blown me away with how they’re able to fit an Intel Core Ultra 9 with a RTX 4090 with sufficient cooling into this laptop and weigh less than 5 pounds total. The design is sleek and sophisticated coming with an Eclipse Gray color and a cool customizable LED feature on the top of the screen. The lighting pulses when the laptop is awake like it’s a living breathing entity. You can even setup in the Armoury crate app to have it pulse to the beat of music you play. I will say if you’re a big user of hooking up an additional monitor to your setup and keeping the laptop closed I did find it a tad distracting, but it’s easily able to be turned off if you so choose. Initial setup with Windows 11 was a breeze and I was up and running in a few minutes, did all the updates and off we go!
Out the box this laptop is an absolute gaming monster. You can feel confident that anything you throw at it will perform at absolute top specs on any game. An Intel Core 9 185h processor with 32 gb of LPDD5RX ram and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 leaves little more to be desired in a gaming rig. The laptop also comes with dual USB-C ports, HDMI 2.1, USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, and a dedicated UHS-II MicroSD card reader which is handy for me since I am a photographer, so this machines doubles as an editing powerhouse! A 1TB SSD is the only thing I wish it had a little bit more space, but that’s easily fixed with an additional M2 slot for upgrades or adding some external hard drives. But 1TB is plenty to hold what I really need on the computer itself. The computer also has a built-in camera that recognizes you when you login which is a nice touch for bypassing the windows pin and handy when doing Microsoft Team meetings! The keyboard is responsive and the keys feel great under your fingers and the mousepad is a robust size. They even have keys dedicated to bringing up Armoury Crate on the fly! The OLED 16-inch monitor is beautiful with great contrast and a buttery smooth 240HZ refresh rate and .02ms response rate. The NVIDIA G-sync makes screen tearing a thing of the past. I also have a 34 inch Samsung widescreen monitor and the I play Apex legends A LOT and that game performs beautifully even with everything going on in the heat of battle. Games like Forza, Starfield, HI-Fi Rush and the new remastered Resident Evil 2 are absolutely breathtaking and I love that the computer comes with 3 free months of XBOX game pass to really give you a wide range of games to test out the box.
The one thing I really truly love about ASUS computers though is the Armoury Crate, to me ASUS really knows that gamers and hardcore pc users really want customization and the ability to manipulate settings on the fly! Silent mode is great when your computer usage doesn’t need to be maximized and prolong battery life. But throwing the Laptop into Performance/Turbo mode really unlocks the potential. Being able to adjust the Processors and GPU to tailor what type of games you’re playing whether its Racing, FPS or RTS/RPG’s gives the computer that much more flexibility. OLED Care settings to make sure the OLED settings are correct to help maximize your displays lifespan is a nice touch as well. It’s a very robust app overall that makes ASUS laptops the best in the game in my opinion.
Overall, I can’t recommend this laptop enough, it’s an absolute beast of a computer that leaves nothing to be desired in a gaming rig. ASUS has hit a homerun with this laptop and I’ll be curious to see where they go from here because this ones going to be tough to top! If you’re on the fence about it due to the high price tag you should jump immediately and never look back, it’s the best of the best!

A Powerhouse Roomba Vacuum!

I’ve been a Roomba user for over 5+ years now and tried many other different brands including Samsung and Neato. The first Samsung I had left a lot to be desired, and while the Neato was decent, the Roomba Robot Vacuums have always been the pinnacle brand of Robot Vacuums. I’ve had 4 different Roombas over the years and have enjoyed seeing the growth in technology and features that they’ve been able to achieve. The J9+ is probably the most technologically advanced Robot Vacuum I’ve owned so far and am happy to explain why!
Out of the box the J9+ setup was probably the easiest I’ve encountered so far. The Roomba app on my Iphone detected it immediately and was linked in less than a minute or two. I let the Roomba charge up and first thing I had it do was do a smart map of my home. I will admit the first mapping left some room for improvement, but I believe it didn’t map correctly because I looked at the map while it was in the process of mapping and might have thrown it off. Doing another run after it was able to map our first floor with surprising accuracy. It even detected where area rugs were on our floor and you’re also able to label areas to avoid. Once mapping and labeling the rooms was done the Roomba was ready to do its thing.
What I immediately noticed compared to previous models I’ve owned is just how customizable the J9+ Roomba is. When creating schedules in the Roomba app you’re able to select your suction power preference from Low to High with Low being a quieter setting with less frequent charging, middle being the best balance for all floor types, and High being a more powerful clean with more frequent recharging. You can also change whether you want the vacuum to make one or two cleaning passes. So, with the smart mapping feature you can choose to have your Roomba do 2 passes with higher suction on higher traffic areas. There’s also a setting called Careful drive which will have the Roomba do its best to avoid walls and furniture. I noticed there is a little white light that utilizes their “Precision Vision Navigation” to avoid objects left on the ground and does a great job not sucking up cords which has been a problem for some of my Roombas in the past. This Roomba is certified to avoid dog messes, or they’ll replace it for free, which is nice for your piece of mind. The app will also detect your cleaning habits over time and suggest when to clean. By far the coolest feature I have come across so far is the Automation with scheduling which will use Location services with your phone to determine when you have left your home and vacuum while you’re away. So, you never realize the Roomba is running but always come home to a clean house. If you have an Ecobee thermometer, August Lock, or My Q garage door opener you can utilize them as well to tell the Roomba you’re away. Features like this truly are a great use of smart technology in the home and something I would have never thought would be possible but kudos to the App developers for thinking of it! The J9+ can also utilize Automation via Alexa to clean specific rooms with voice command which is very handy as well! Overall, this Roomba is a technological beast!
Testing the J9+ for the last week it’s done a great job of cleaning our home. Having it run while we are out doing errands and having it dispose of the dirt automatically in the bin allows us to let the Roomba do its job without even thinking twice about it. With past models that didn’t have smart mapping I would always get funny messages like “your Roomba has fallen off a cliff” and we’d come home to find it in our recessed shower. The j9+ with Smart Mapping has done a great job of doing exactly what it’s supposed to do without getting stuck. I truly believe the Roomba brand has reached an impressive level of smart technology with the j9+ that truly makes it worth the money. If you’re looking for a set it and forget it Robot vacuum the j9+ is exactly what you’re looking for, I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a truly “smart” vacuum!

An Amazing Vacuum That Does It All!

The Dyson V15s Detect Submarine is a powerhouse vacuum! I’ve owned multiple Dyson vacuums over the years, and this is by far the most impressive one I’ve owned from their company. Out the box it just needs a few hours to charge the battery and its ready to go!
Immediately first time using it I noticed how light the vacuum is. Being so light it’s an absolute joy to use. Vacuuming my downstairs wood floors with the Fluffy Optic cleaner head it uses a green light that shows microscopic dust that you might normally miss. The Digital Motorbar cleaner head works great on my area rugs downstairs and carpets upstairs and is adjustable for different heights. The hair screw tool is awesome for getting dog hair off my couch and doesn’t get clogged picking up my wife’s long blonde hair either! It also comes with a combination and crevice tool to get to hard to reach places and is stored on a wand clip that attaches to the vacuum itself. There also is a docking station that can attach to your wall for easy storage when you’re done using the Dyson! I don’t think there’s a single tool that this vacuum is lacking!
While using the Dyson it has a touch digital display on the top of the unit that allows you to change the power with 3 different settings, Eco, Auto, and Boost. I found that the Auto setting was just right for longer battery life and good suction power. The Boost does have more suction, but drains the battery considerably faster. There is a timer that indicates the remaining battery life in real time along with a Piezo sensor developed by Dyson that tells you what type of dust and allergens you’re picking up. I’ve never had a vacuum tell me what type of allergens, skin flakes, dust mites and fleas and sugars are in my home but it’s fascinating and gross all at the same time. I’m not entirely sure how accurate it is, but Dyson says the algorithm they’ve developed categorizes and counts the dust 15,000 times per second. In Auto mode when the sensor detects higher concentrations of dust it will increase the power accordingly. When vacuuming has been completed the bin has a new lever that doesn’t require you to touch the inside bin by forcing the debris out of the vacuum itself, which is a nice improvement over our other Dyson Animal!
By far the most impressive new tool, and where the V15s Detect Submarine gets its name is the Submarine Wet Roller Head that comes standard with this model. The Submarine head stores water and cleaner that can clean up to 1000 square feet on one water tank and does a fantastic job cleaning our hardwood, tile and vinyl floors. It works great for muddy dog paws on the floor and is a Godsend for cleaning up our 2-year old’s messes after dinner time. I was even impressed by how well it cleans our bathroom floors and considerably cuts down on the time it takes to mop our downstairs and keep our house looking spotless. They included a drip tray as well for storage of the Submarine head and the rollers are easily cleanable as well. When the time comes you can buy spares from Dyson as well! The battery life states a 60 minute run time and I’m not sure if it will go the full 60 minutes because I don’t need to use it for an hour, but I will say it has plenty of battery life to vacuum, and use the Submarine tool with plenty of battery life left to spare!
Overall, I am very pleased and couldn’t be more impressed by the Dyson V15S Detect Submarine. I’ve never had a vacuum so technologically advanced with so many features and I feel confident this product will last us for many years because all my Dyson vacuums have been wonderful in the past. If you are in the market for a lightweight do it all wet/dry vacuum, you can’t go wrong with the Submarine! A 5-star vacuum in my book no questions asked!

A must own accessory.

The carrying case for the Quest 3 is an essential accessory that you need to own if you want to keep your VR unit in the best condition possible. The case itself is lightweight and has a nice gray design with a hard outer shell that allows solid protection for your Quest and your accessories. There is a strap at the top to carry it if need be and the zipper feels like it’s made of a good material and will hold up well over time. The case is perfectly designed to fit the Quest 3, the VR unit fits snug and doesn’t move around at all once placed inside. The case has two holsters for the controllers that sit straight up but don't impede on the headset sitting in the case. There is also a nifty storage compartment for the charging cable that closes up nicely with all the proper cables inside. I would wholeheartedly recommend this case to anyone because without it how do you plan on storing your Quest? Just keeping it on the shelf in a closet will allow dust to get inside and possible accidents to happen that might ultimately damage the unit. With the case you can store it nice and compact without fear of damage and its perfect if you plan on taking the VR unit to a friends house or traveling with it. In my opinion this case is a no brainer and should be purchased with every Quest.

A must have for your Quest 3

The Meta Quest 3 Elite strap is an essential upgrade from the original strap that comes with the system. The instructions were clear and concise, and it only took a few minutes to switch out the old strap and put the Elite strap on the Quest. The tricky part was getting the black plastic piece that forms to your face off the Quest as it felt like I might break it if I pull too hard. But I was able to get it off safely and installed the strap and away I went! The dial in the back is adjustable and allows you to secure it to your head better than the cloth strap in my opinion. The black plastic piece on the back fits to your head very well and I never felt like it was going to fall off. I would definitely recommend this strap if you’re going to be using the Quest for any of the workout apps as it feels more snug and secure on your head. Frankly I would buy it even if you aren't going to be using the workout app as it just feels like a much safer alternative to the cloth strap that comes with the Quest.

Incredible VR System!

Meta Quest 3 is a powerhouse VR system. I’ve previously owned the original Oculus so I was curious to see how much better the Quest 3 is comparatively and I can say without a doubt that there is a BIG difference between the two.
The initial setup was simple and straightforward. Using the Meta Quest app and a QR code I was up and running within about 15 minutes. The first thing I noticed was how crisp the new headset is compared to the original. The original Oculus wasn’t bad per se, but the new Quest 3 is just crystal clear. The one thing that bugged me about the original was it felt like I never really was able to dial in the eyesight perfectly, it was always something I was fiddling with. With the Quest 3 its set it and forget it as I never had any issues with adjustments. Another thing I’ve noticed is the Quest 3 seems to fit better around my nose, creating a more immersive experience and less light leakage. The room scan detection has improved dramatically from the first Oculus as well. You had to manually define the space before and now the Quest 3 will automatically scan, and it does a good job detecting furniture and giving you a better VR space to play in. The controllers are more comfortable than the original Oculus and fit great in my hand and I instantly felt right at home with them.
I had no problem pulling up my Meta account and loading all my previous games. Beat Saber felt more responsive, and I could immediately tell that the speakers are much better in the Quest 3. SuperHOT’s performance feels much improved as well. Games like the Climb 2 are so immersive it gives me vertigo. But the coolest improvement in my opinion to the Quest 3 is the use of mixed reality by blending VR with your surroundings. I played a table tennis game called Eleven VR and it felt like the table was actually in my room, it was so cool! The possibilities are endless for blending Virtual reality into your space. There’s a piano teacher game that allows you to play a virtual or real keyboard and practice learning piano. There are so many ways to experience what Quest 3 has to offer that I feel like I’m just scratching the surface. My wife downloaded the Supernatural app and has been using it to workout. Youtube VR is spectacular, they even have a Cirque De Soliel show that puts you right into the middle of the show or an app to board the International Space Station!
Overall, I’m super happy with the Quest 3. For the 500-dollar price tag it delivers a premium VR experience that is vastly improved over the original Oculus. I would wholeheartedly recommend this for anyone who hasn’t tried VR or for someone who had the original and is wondering if it’s worth the upgrade. Go buy it today, you won’t be disappointed.

Amazing piece of Technology!

I was born in the 80’s and have grown up on Gameboys and Game Gears so I’ve seen gaming technology come a long way. But 30 years ago, I would have never dreamed we’d have a mobile PC gaming system that fits in your hands with 100’s of games at your disposal at any moment. The ASUS ROG Ally is an impressive piece of equipment that demands your attention.
Initial unboxing and setup of the Ally was very straightforward. What surprised me from the get-go is that the Ally is basically a small computer in your hands. It runs a full version of Windows 11 that is user friendly even without a mouse or keyboard. I loaded all my games and apps and updated drivers through the My Asus app and we were off and running.
First impressions of the device itself are nothing but positive. The 1080P 7 inch touch screen is bright and beautiful and responsive to the touch. The unit itself feels light and comfortable in your hands. Joysticks, bumpers and trigger buttons are well placed with customizable RGB lighting. The fingerprint sensor on the power button is a nice touch. Theres also a slot for external memory cards, and a USB3.2/DisplayPort/Power plug and an ROG XG Mobile interface that I’ll get to shortly. Battery life for the Ally is substantial for a handheld especially with Asus’s customization ability in their Armoury Crate. Their app allows you to completely configure the Ally exactly how you want it. You can change Operating Modes, Game Visual Modes, customize controller mapping for all your game apps, the list goes on and on. It really is a gamers paradise with an ROG product. One of my favorite features is the Command Center button which allows you to customize different quick functions like brightness and volume along with getting to your Desktop, game modes, game profiles and even pull up a keyboard on the fly.
But all of this wouldn’t matter if the gaming experience isn’t what it should be, and thankfully the Ally passes the gaming portion with flying colors. I have Ultimate Game pass and instantly that along with my steam collection gives me instant access to 100’s of games. The Ally hooks into your WIFI but does also allow offline gaming as well and ASUS has done a good job explaining how to get those settings on their website. I loaded up Starfield to really push the Ally to see what it could do, and it handled the game beautifully. Visually the game looks great, and the controls are just as good as any handheld I’ve played before. Games like Shredders Revenge are an absolute joy to play on the Ally and I find myself gaming a lot more frequently lately because of it. The 512 GB of space that comes with the device does get eaten up quickly so I would invest in a good SD card. One of the cooler features for the Ally that I haven’t used yet is the ability to hook it up to other devices to expand its capabilities. The ROG Gaming Charger Dock will turn the Ally into a home console by charging and connecting to any tv or monitor with a 120hz 1080P or 60hz 4k Refresh Rate. There is also a pricier XG Mobile station that will turn your Ally into basically a gaming powerhouse. Both are incredible features that only add to the flexibility of the Ally.
All in all, I can’t recommend the ASUS ROG Ally enough. If you’re a serious gamer looking for a flexible mobile gaming solution the Ally is a clear-cut winner for me. It is an impressive feat of technology that packs a lot of ability in a small package.

Amazing Noise Cancelling Headphones

Bose, in my opinion, is one of the most trusted brands in the world. Whenever you buy a Bose product you know you’re getting a quality piece of equipment. Everything I’ve owned for the past 20+ years from them has held up well and always performed as it should. Whenever I travel, I always use their noise cancelling headphones because it is the best at drowning out Airplane cabin noise while still delivering great quality sound. These new QuietComfort Wireless Noise Cancelling will be the 3rd set I’ve owned from Bose and they performed exactly as I expected them to.
Initial unboxing of the headphones was simple with minimalistic packaging. I always appreciate the nice leather cases they include with their headsets. The headphones come with a very short charging cable that could stand to be a bit longer. Initial charging had the headphones dangling from the wall. Once charged, the initial setup with the Bose Music app took less than 30 seconds. The app itself can control many functions of the headset including a Quiet (Noise cancelling) or Aware mode, which allows you to hear others around you. You also can create your own modes and the level of noise cancelling for that created mode. There’s also an EQ mode that allows the bass, mid and treble to be adjusted. The app will allow you to adjust volume and shows the battery life of the headphones. The Source allows you to change your Bluetooth connections with the headset. And the Shortcut button can add functionality to the left side button for battery level or spotify shortcuts. Hopefully they will add more options for that in the future. The app also allows you to software update as well as adjust Auto Power Off options. Overall, I’m very impressed with the robust functionality of the app.
The bread and butter of these headphones is the Noise Cancelling ability and quality of the sound. I don’t believe there is a better set of travel headphones on the market. These headphones deliver crisp beautiful sound whether it’s action movies or any type of music you throw at it. The noise cancellation works to perfection without being too overpowering. Not to mention they’re comfortable, you can wear these headphones for hours and not feel like your ears hurt, which is very rare for me. The battery life so far in testing has been great and has lasted long enough for any task I’ve thrown at it. I’ve enjoyed having the exterior buttons to change songs and switching between Active and Quiet mode on the fly.
In conclusion I can’t recommend these headphones enough. The QuietComfort Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones are the best headphones on the market, period. They produce quality sound, amazing noise cancelling technology with a solid rechargeable battery life, app connectivity and they’re very comfortable! What more could you ask for in a headset?! A Beautiful Work Of Art!

The Technics - SL-1500C is an absolutely beautiful piece of machinery. I have been a vinyl enthusiast for the past 15 years collecting many vintage and new release records and I always prefer to listen to a record over digital. I had a Stanton turntable before this and it did a fine job but the SL-1500C is on a whole different level entirely.
From the moment I opened the box I could tell that the utmost thought and care was put into the design and packaging of this turntable. Everything was packaged perfectly with plenty of padding. The instructions that were included were straight forward and easy to understand and I was up and running in about 30 minutes. The turntable itself is stunning, the white finish is classy and elegant with beautiful silver buttons that give it a timeless look. I really appreciate how robust the tonearm adjustments can be with the rotating weight, auxiliary weight, anti skipping features, height adjustments with locking mechanism and auto lifter function at the end of the record. I plugged the turntable into my Marshall speaker and the tones I got from the included Ortofon 2M Red Phono Cartridge were amazing. I played multiple different records from the new Allen Stone to older Beatles records to really get a feel for how it handled newer and older vinyl and it played everything beautifully. There is a rich vibrant tone to Vinyl records that just can’t be replicated in MP3’s or streaming services. I was blown away by the careless direct drive motor in the SL-1500C as it’s completely silent with adjustments for 33,45, and 78 RPM LP’s. It played every record I threw at it flawlessly with no vibrations whatsoever. The dust cover and high quality rubber mat are an especially nice touch as it rounds out the entire presentation for the SL-1500C. All of these features and more make the Technics SL1500-C a winner for anyone looking for a high quality well built and highly adjustable turntable. It makes a stunning centerpiece to your home audio setup and one that will surely be a conversation starter whenever you have guests over. I’m my opinion it’s the nicest turntable I will probably ever own and will likely have for the rest of my life. Technics should be applauded for continuing to make such a beautiful product at a time when everything is turning digital.

Amazing Soundbar Experience!

The Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar is an incredible addition to any home theater setup. Bose is synonymous with quality sound equipment. I own their Noise cancelling headphones, Bluetooth speakers, and a portable PA system, and all of them are the best products in their category in my opinion. So, it was no surprise to me that when I got the new Ultra Soundbar in my home it blew away my previous tv speaker setup by leaps and bounds. But let’s dive into the meats and potatoes of what makes this soundbar so good.
Initial unboxing and setup were very simple and straightforward. The speaker comes in a classy glossy black finish, its downright sexy if I’m being honest. The speaker is lightweight for its size and fit perfectly on my mantle under the tv in our Living room. Provided with the speaker was a high-speed HDMI ethernet cable, a remote, a power cable and a weird looking headset which I’ll get to in a bit. Setting up the speaker itself I took notice of the additional ports behind the speaker for an ethernet cable (but the speaker does have built in Wifi) and optical cable, an AdaptiQ port and a bass plug. Additionally, you can add wireless bass modules 500 and 700 along with the Bose Surround 700 speakers for a complete home theater system.
Once everything was hooked up, I used the Bose app to get the speaker setup. It instantly found the speaker and did a software update and then had me do an AdaptiQ sound setup for my room using the headset provided. AdaptiQ considers how your speaker sounds depending on where you sit and adjusts settings accordingly. I found it to be an intuitive feature with the ability to tweak and adjust as needed. The Bose app is very impressive and compliments the speaker very well. It has a multitude of features at your disposal, you can completely control the volume, source, and adjust settings all from your phone. I was able to change the CEC option, so my speaker automatically turns on when I power up the TV. You can connect additional speakers, music services such as Pandora and Spotify, enable Chromecast streaming and Voice assistance through Alexa. Theres also a Voice4Video feature that is extremely impressive in that if you have a cable box attached to your tv you can change channels, HDMI inputs, play music and make phone calls all using voice commands. Being able to say things like Alexa “Watch NFL Network” and it changes on the fly is amazing! The app also has access to things like Local Radio and Podcasts which are sure to be a hit with my wife since she loves her Dateline podcasts and you can even save them as Presets. Another very cool feature is being able to connect your Noise Cancelling headphones or another portable speaker to the setup as well. Overall I was very impressed by all the features the App brings to the speaker itself.
The most important part of a sound bar must be the overall quality of the sound, because let’s be honest what’s the point of a bunch of features if the sound isn’t great and this is where the Bose Ultra Sound Bar really excels. With nine total speakers inside this beautiful sound bar, it delivers a rich and immersive audio experience for any home theater or music fan. I am a huge music junkie so the first thing I did once setup was play some of my favorite tunes to see how it sounds and was amazed by how crisp and clear the music was. You would think not having a separate base module would make the sound muddy but that’s not the case at all. I was blown away by how loud the speaker could get as well. I can just envision myself for years to come playing music in our family room through this speaker and it fills my heart with joy. The experience watching movies is no different. There is an especially cool AI feature that they’ve added that detects when vocals are being played and it allows the speakers to separate those to make sure you don’t miss key dialogue in intense sounding scenes. We watched Avatar 2 Way of the Water as the first movie, and I was really impressed by the overall sound quality. For being just a single sound bar, it blew me away with how well it can act as a complete surround sound experience. I think if you paired this with the wireless bass module you would be hard pressed to find a better surround sound experience for the money. We came away very impressed by the movie quality sound and look forward to watching many more movies with this setup.
Overall, I can’t recommend the Bose Smart Ultra Sound bar enough for someone looking for an all in one home theater experience. The app also has access to things like Local Radio and Podcasts which are sure to be a hit with my wife since she loves her Dateline podcasts and you can even save them as Presets. Another very cool feature is being able to connect your Noise Cancelling headphones or another portable speaker to the setup as well. Overall I was very impressed by all the features the App brings to the speaker itself.
The most important part of a sound bar must be the overall quality of the sound, because let’s be honest what’s the point of a bunch of features if the sound isn’t great and this is where the Bose Ultra Sound Bar really excels. With nine total speakers inside this beautiful sound bar, it delivers a rich and immersive audio experience for any home theater or music fan. I am a huge music junkie so the first thing I did once setup was play some of my favorite tunes to see how it sounds and was amazed by how crisp and clear the music was. You would think not having a separate base module would make the sound muddy but that’s not the case at all. I was blown away by how loud the speaker could get as well. I can just envision myself for years to come playing music in our family room through this speaker and it fills my heart with joy. The experience watching movies is no different. There is an especially cool AI feature that they’ve added that detects when vocals are being played and it allows the speakers to separate those to make sure you don’t miss key dialogue in intense sounding scenes. We watched Avatar 2 Way of the Water as the first movie, and I was really impressed by the overall sound quality. For being just a single sound bar, it blew me away with how well it can act as a complete surround sound experience. I think if you paired this with the wireless bass module you would be hard pressed to find a better surround sound experience for the money. We came away very impressed by the movie quality sound and look forward to watching many more movies with this setup.
Overall, I can’t recommend the Bose Smart Ultra Sound bar enough for someone looking for an all in one home theater experience. The speaker is synonymous with Bose quality products and is a home run in my opinion. The App experience only adds to the features it possesses. If you’re looking for a great sound bar for your home this is the one, Period.

By now everyone knows about the commuter and defender otterbox series. The otterbox has recently gotten sleeker, shedding alot of the extra bulk from previous generations, so I decided to go with this model for my Iphone 6. It fits the phone nicely, the only gripe I have with the case is there is a little bit of wiggle room at the top kind of like a gap between the hard and soft plastic. I'm not sure if this is true to all the commuters, I may go back tomorrow and try and find another commuter that might fit better.

Opted for the Symmetry

After having this case for almost a week now and the gap between the plastic not going away I decided to go check out the symmetry series. Although it doesn't have the screen protector, and the hole for the Apple logo on the back, I actually feel like the symmetry is sturdier and sleeker than the commuter.
On a side note I spoke with Otterbox about the commuter to see if maybe the case wasn't supposed to have the gap and it was a manufacturing issue. She said they had more than a few reports about it, and that they are looking into whether or not they need to make a change or whether it was a certain supplier that had the error. She told me to hold onto my case and check back in a few months and that if they made any adjustments they would gladly replace it for free. So worst case scenario you buy the case, it has a slight droop in it for a few months while you wait for Otterbox to perfect the case and then you call in and get a replacement for free because they already know about the issue.

Yes it can support up to 5. But with 3 you can cover a 6000sq ft house. So unless you live in a huge house you don't really need more than 3.
