Great sound and build. I want to love it but...

I really wanted to love this Sony soundbar as I have had good to great experiences with Sony products in the past from soundbars to Bluetooth speakers and buds. But, the Sony HT-S2000 left me wanting more or just left me. To be honest, I didn’t want to leave a subpar review because the sound is very pleasing and the form factor and build is exceptional for a standalone sound bar. I’m going to leave the specs to the paperwork and packaging that’s included because I want to give the most honest review for the actual usage and performance of this pretty pricey soundbar. Now of course this is personal opinion but it may matter to some wanting to invest in Sony.
Opening the box, of course you get the sounbar, hefty and quality built, power adapter, remote with two batteries and hdmi cable with all the regulatory documents, warranty, quick setup and wall template… that’s it. No mounting screws which was disappointing, no clear instructions and a very conspicuous QR code on the paperwork needed to download the Sony Home Theatre App. I was searching for this mentioned app from the paperwork forever in different app stores and unsuccessful links. Finally after finding the QR code and downloading the app I could actually get a real feel for what this soundbar was capable of. Now let me back up real quick, the reason I sound kind of despondent is because I was expecting this Sony soundbar to be plug and play ready which to some degree it is. But, I plugged it in connected the arc hdmi connections and powered up the sounbar…. It took an extended amount of time for this thing to register my tv and start playing sound. It just kept displaying “Please Wait” with a blinking blue led. Ok, so I’m waiting for about 15-20 seconds before any action. Once the soundbar connected and sent out the great spectrum of lows and highs with clear voice from my tv I was impressed as I thought I would be from a Sony product. Now a speed bump, I start adjusting the volume with my tv remote and the sound cuts out as I change the volume level and then takes a second and starts producing great sounds again. So I think that it may be interference from my tv remote so I try the included remote and same thing happens. It starts to become really annoying having the sound cut out when I’m trying to adjust to get the desired level. Ok, Bluetooth test… and yes, quick connect to iphone seamlessly and great sounds! I adjust the volume with my phone volume rocker and with the included remote, no interruption so I’m happy. This soundbar produces full range of pleasurable lows, mids, highs, in a cinematic setting good for a small home theatre. From the online specs and accessories you can pair with satellite rear speakers and subwoofer that I am sure will increase the already great sounds produced from this soundbar. I am just not sure of the price point for this setup. But if you are looking for powerful output in a small form factor, this Sony soundbar gets super loud, well enough for any small to large living room setting.
I do like the fact that it is easily wall mountable with an included wall template for the screw placement, but for the price, you would think the mounting hardware would be included, it’s not.
Now the Sony Home Theatre Connect app, it’s not easily found on app stores, you have to go to the website if you find the correct link, but there is a QR code randomly placed on the quick setup paperwork. I wish I would have found this and downloaded the app first because it made it so much easier a straightforward when setting up. The app is nice and includes all the fine tuning settings you will need to get your desired sound as the included remote just has basic controls. The app also allows you to use your phone as a remote and control Bluetooth playlists. Overall, this soundbar is built very nice, produces full range of sound with ample volume, it just has a few hiccups with sound adjustment that hinders a five star review. Primarily the volume adjustment that gets interrupted when changing levels while watching v. I cant seem to figure this out yet and not sure if it is a compatibility issue with my tv brand or what…

Better than a Tablet still not a laptop for gaming

As a moderate gamer, I’ve seen a lot of devices being dubbed as “Gaming” just because the companies are trying to appeal to the new gamers and nostalgic gamers that are resurfacing due to the comeback of retro gaming devices.
This Asus “Gaming” Chromebook or should I say Cloud Gaming, falls into that realm of just another branding trend. For those that are looking for a inexpensive laptop to game on, lets get this out of the way now… This Is Not A Gaming Laptop. It is a Chromebook with a little bump in hardware specs that enable some gaming via cloud services. There is not enough Ram virtual or storage to play high graphic intense games. It does however come with the most minimum requirements of 8gb ram, 256gb memory, and a capable Intel i5 processor that will allow suitable playability of most “App” games found on most app stores such as Google play, Apple store, or any such app stores used for mobile and tablet. So with that being said, this Asus Chromebook is much better than a typical tablet but not as good as a laptop.
I used this to play games via my Xbox gamepass and played many games via the cloud gaming app and some co-op games via the cloud. I was somewhat impressed. This Chromebook is BIG. It is a hefty 5 pounds but is solidly built and I do not feel that I have to be extremely gentle when carrying it around. The 1080p screen is clear and smooth with 144hz refresh rate and Intel graphics processor. Another big up is that it has a touch screen which makes things so much easier when in tablet mode, Tent, or Stand which also added a sense of pleasure being to play games while only viewing the large screen and not being distracted or drawn to the keyboard while using my connected wireless controller. I do wish that a mouse (small or gaming) would have been included with this Chromebook since it is being branded as gaming. The Bluetooth capability was good with no hiccups connecting to a Xbox controller. I didn’t use headphones initially because I’m a fan of Harmon Kardon sound devices and that is what is included on this platform. The sound did not disappoint and added another level of desirability to using this Chromebook. The included 256gb SSD allowed far speedy transitions of apps and startup and also allowed for downloading several streaming and gaming apps. Mind you, I did say gaming apps because the modern game downloads will eat up this 256 SSD super quick. The Wifi 6 capability is always a mystery to me because some devices say it works flawlessly and faster, but I haven’t always seen that to be the case and it is the same with this Chromebook. It could be where and how I was trying to game at times using my personal mobile hotspot and the area, but the gaming was not always playable because off lag and freezing. I was pushing the limits of cloud gaming by playing some games like Ghost Recon Break Point and Wildlands at some high settings. I was able to play, but not as well as I would have liked. I can say that the screen is excellent for gaming and the speakers are also holding their own. What did surprise me was the cooling fan or entire cooling system this Chromebook has… It is not mentioned much but heat dissipation is big while trying to game on a device such as this. Yes, this is only made for cloud gaming, but the cooling system on this Chromebook is surprisingly efficient and some laptops could use something along these lines. I can actually feel the airflow in and out of the device and the temperature difference of the two. They did a great job keeping this device cool while gaming.
Like a laptop though, you will probably want to only game while the plugged into a power source because the battery drains fairly quick and the game play slows down or lags quit a bit when not plugged in.
I also used this to stream some of my tv/movie apps. Most worked very well with the huge screen and nice speakers. The only down point is that on some streaming apps, there is a flickering of the screen while watching. I tried adjusting some settings, updates, all that I could think of, nothing fixed the flickering. I am not sure what or why this is happening and hopefully can find a solution as I do enjoy using this Chromebook over a tablet or my mobile device (cell phone) to play and stream at times.
Now for anyone wanting to purchase a gaming laptop I would not recommend this Chromebook. If you are looking for an alternative to a tablet with a bigger screen and more capabilities, then yes I would recommend. I am curious how this Chromebook will function after upgrading the Ram and adding memory which tit does have extra slot to do so. Maybe in the future I will do that and see how long I can keep this Chromebook usable.

Economical, sharp, trendy, easy to use

Being a huge fan of Phillips Norelco brand, this product was an obvious choice to get to add to my arsenal of manscaping trimming blades and razors. For the economical conscious consumer which I try to be and most are, this is a no brainer especially with the rising costs of gimmicky razor blades and trimmers.
Philips Norleco has been a proven product for many years in my opinion and the OneBlade 360 series has upped the ante for trimmers. The replacement 2x blade package give you of course the two blades that easily snaps into most all of the OneBlade product trimmers. It is packaged very well to protect the blades from accidental damage before use. The price is right for two blades that lasts essentially as long if not longer as a multi pack of traditional razor blades (up to two months) depending on use.
The Blades are very sharp but not to the point of easy nicks and cuts. They run smoothly over sensitive areas and give a very close shave. The shave is extremely close but not as close as a straight traditional razor. They cut even coarse hair easily but tend to throw the cut hair freely all over the place.
Their is supposedly a blade wear indicator that appears when its time for you to replace the blade but I have yet to wear the blades down enough to see this. I usually replace my blades when I feel them starting to pull at my hair.
Great product and great price!

Bigger, Better, Brother, trimmer Blade

I now have both of the Norelco OneBlade 360 trimmers (OneBlade 360 Face and OneBlade 360 pro). I use each one of them for different tasks at which both of them do a great job essentially compared to a traditional blade. The OneBlade pro is my all around go to and is the most universal for all my needs.
The OneBlade 360 pro is the bigger, better, brother to the OneBlade 360 face which is more of a quick detail or travel blade. The 360 Pro is a jack of all trades blade.
Out of the box you can tell the immediate difference in build quality as the 360 Pro is substantially more hefty and feels more durable and comfortable in hand. It has a bigger diameter handle with a metallic gray and black color which also comes with an led digital battery display… huge plus on that from the 360 face. Included is a charger stand which the handle easily sits in to charge while not in use… another plus. Housed in the handle is an upgrade from the 360 face NImh battery to a lithium ion battery that is described to last up to 120 minutes of use. I rarely ever get to the last bit of energy of a battery as I try to extend the life of batteries by charging them fully after extended use. The lowest I usually get to is about 20 – 30 percent before I allow a full charge. I have great experiences with batteries lasting well beyond their life expectancy by continually keeping them in good charging condition.
The 360 Pro comes with a small storage or travel bag, a variety of easily click on guards for different uses (face, body, sensitive areas). It has a 14 length adjustable comb guard that I love for changing the style and length of my beard/goatee. It clicks easily between lengths and allows for smooth trimming without catching on the hair. There is two other click on comb guards for body and sensitive areas to trim or manscape without the fear of nicking those sensitive areas. There is also an additional blade included to extend the time before you must buy additional blades. The blades are said to last up to 4 months before having to replace but I’m sure that depends on the individual’s hair type and trimming habits. I am sure the blades last longer than traditional blades which is one reason why I have this trimmer.
The blades themselves trim very well and flex/move with the contours of your face and body. The markings on the blade handle I’m not sure what they are for other than marketing of the 360 nomenclature of the blade.
All in all the 360 line up does a great job with trimming, edging, and manscaping. It is not for the baby face shave of a traditional straight razor, but it is a jack of all trades blade trimmer for the time and budget conscious consumer.

Great travel trimmer/shaver

I've always loved norelco products and this is one that is definitely going to be added to my arsenal of grooming. If you're like me, you hate having to purchase overpriced razor blades that aren't guaranteed to get the job done, or leave your skin irritated, or nicked looking like a murder scene when you are trying to walk out the door. This Phillips norelco trimmer eliminates most of that in a simple to use and ergonomic form factor.
Right out-of-the-box you get the razor handle in a cool neon green color with a Navy blue inlay. You get one razor blade with a travel razor guard, an adjustable guard with five length settings, and a usb charging cable. There are a set of instructions that I actually read before use because I wanted to make sure I got the most out of this shaving experience as possible… So with that, it says to fully charge the battery, it must charge for 8 hours!?! I was initially put off by that fact and realized it comes with NiMh battery that lasts only upto 45 minutes on an 8 hour charge. I am not happy about that fact but I guess when I’m not using it, it should be charging. Also, there is no low battery indicator by light or any signal other than the blade operating more slowly. These two points I can get over if at least it proves to be a good shaving experience.
The handle is very light and the blade once attached pivots and flexes fairly easily. It fits into the hand very nice and the power button is easily pressed. It is a little noisy for such a small device but no more than a typical hair trimmer. It took a little practice for the first couple of passes to get the proper use of the double sided trimmer blade which allows you to shave in both directions. You’ll have the feeling or need for speed when using this thing but it is best to take your time and move slowly and smoothly over the skin. As it will not cut you like a normal straight razor, I did get caught up on some coarse hair and a little nick but nothing compared to a typical razor. The blade is also fairly small which makes for the long haul but precise cutting. When cutting thru longer hair and not using foam or water, it is thrown out with no regard and does require a cleanup afterwards. So to avoid this you can actually use shaving foam in conjunction with this blade. I do love the fact that I can use it wet or dry which makes it especially handy for travelling.
The shave is pretty close but does not give that baby face feel as it leaves a slight stubble but a clean look. I found myself trying to angle the blade but it is not made for that as I read in the instructions. It is either flat running or 90` to get that precise edging. I shave my facial hair down pretty low most of the time so I could not tell you how well the adjustable guard works for longer beards, but I did use it for my low cut and it makes for a worry free cut evenly across the plane of haie.
Overall a great product for the traveler or the guy who wants to get precise edging without the irritation and nicking of the traditional blade. Economically I can see this saving me a ton not having to purchase blades so often but only time will tell.
Right out-of-the-box you get the razor handle in a cool neon green color with a Navy blue inlay. You get one razor blade with a travel razor guard, an adjustable guard with five length settings, and a usb charging cable. There are a set of instructions that I actually read before use because I wanted to make sure I got the most out of this shaving experience as possible… So with that, it says to fully charge the battery, it must charge for 8 hours!?! I was initially put off by that fact and realized it comes with NiMh battery that lasts only upto 45 minutes on an 8 hour charge. I am not happy about that fact but I guess when I’m not using it, it should be charging. Also, there is no low battery indicator by light or any signal other than the blade operating more slowly. These two points I can get over if at least it proves to be a good shaving experience.
The handle is very light and the blade once attached pivots and flexes fairly easily. It fits into the hand very nice and the power button is easily pressed. It is a little noisy for such a small device but no more than a typical hair trimmer. It took a little practice for the first couple of passes to get the proper use of the double sided trimmer blade which allows you to shave in both directions. You’ll have the feeling or need for speed when using this thing but it is best to take your time and move slowly and smoothly over the skin. As it will not cut you like a normal straight razor, I did get caught up on some coarse hair and a little nick but nothing compared to a typical razor. The blade is also fairly small which makes for the long haul but precise cutting. When cutting thru longer hair and not using foam or water, it is thrown out with no regard and does require a cleanup afterwards. So to avoid this you can actually use shaving foam in conjunction with this blade. I do love the fact that I can use it wet or dry which makes it especially handy for travelling.
The shave is pretty close but does not give that baby face feel as it leaves a slight stubble but a clean look. I found myself trying to angle the blade but it is not made for that as I read in the instructions. It is either flat running or 90` to get that precise edging. I shave my facial hair down pretty low most of the time so I could not tell you how well the adjustable guard works for longer beards, but I did use it for my low cut and it makes for a worry free cut evenly across the plane of haie.

Good quality and easy addition to security system

Swann security has been my go to home security monitoring system and I was excited to be able to add a wireless camera to my system. I have installed a wired system as I feel a little more secure with having a stand alone system hard wired into my house and connected directly to a monitor along with the external hard drive. I had need for an additional camera but did not want to go through the hassle of running another wire to add the camera. When I seen the option for a wireless that was compatible with my already installed system I was ecstatic.
The CoreCam Pro is exceptional for what it is. It is completely wireless and is able to connect to the Swann Security app via mobile phone seamlessly. I first charged the camera which took an hour or two to fully charge. I then placed the camera where I desired, opened the app, and simply click add device and it was found easily. When the app opened, the camera was instantly added to my other camera system live view. It was nice to have the additional camera that I needed added to my mobile security app, but I quickly found out that it was not able to be added via the Swann hard drive to be viewed on my monitor.
Other than the inability to add directly to my home system, the camera functioned exactly the same as the hardwired cameras for clarity, detection, and deterrence with the built in led lights and speaker. This camera seems to be very comparable to other big named brand wireless camera systems. One thing I have noticed is the battery life is not what I expected. It has died several times over a week after install. I did adjust the settings to lengthen the life of the battery. However, I do not think I would in the long run want a totally wireless system for the fact the I have to remove the camera just to charge the battery.
The one advantage of the the wireless camera is the built in sd card slot for recordings. You can easily remove the sd card and transfer files. But it is just as easy to download, share, and transfer via the security app.
Overall, a great option for those that have a Swann Security system with the need of adding another camera in a hard to reach spot without wiring. Otherwise, there are many other options for what you ultimately need.

Good entry and alternative for kids

I got this tablet for my three year old to give her her own tablet to play and learn while freeing up everyone else's devices. She is already pretty tech savvy for a three year old as I am sure most kids in this generation are so I didn't foresee any difficulty for her adapting to and learning how to use this tablet at all.
If you are looking at this for your child, just keep in mind it is on the entry level for tablets compared to other brands and the performance is in line for where it is marketed. Now with that said, it does do the job quite well.
I first love the the parental security platform on this tablet which ensures that you are aware and have to approve certain aspects of the tablet before even getting started with downloading apps. The Kidoz app is the designer preferred app on this tablet which we did try out. It has a good variety of kid approved apps and games that are easy for my child to navigate. She really enjoys the painter color book app. She has tried the video apps in kidoz but she has so much experience with using my phone and her sisters tablet, that she prefers youtube kids app and others where she already has a watch history. So because of this I set her up with a kids google account which is nice because it is just as easy if not easier to monitor having a family google account and it allows us to download apps and games that she is already familiar with from the google play store.
The tablet physically hardware wise is also nice. It is very well protected with a thick rubber case with openings to access the buttons and charger. The charger I wish was USB-C but is still the older micro usb. Hopefully the charger port will withstand the test of time and a toddler. There is also a kickstand for her to prop the tablet up to watch while at the table. The kickstand is quite difficult to open now not just for her but also me. Hopefully that will loosen up over constant use. The tablet is a bit slower than we are used to having more powerful cpu ram and what not on phones and other tablets. But it gets the job done for our three year old for now. It is again just an entry level tablet that gives a child their own device to play with while learning and feeling like part of the device gang.

I love having a reliable, functional, and sound worthy pair of ear buds for work and play, especially since my wife always feels the need to forcibly inherit my ear buds. This pair of Jabra Connect 5t will remain with me! They come included with a very sturdy and impressive charging/carrying case. My previous ear buds always lacked in the area of a suitable case. Jabra hit the mark on this case which is a hard plastic casing with a led battery indicator. Each bud sits firmly in its designated spot with a magnetic setting. The case provides ample additional hours of charging which you would expect from any case. What sets this apart is the ability to charge either with a USB-c connector or simply sit on the wireless charging pad that is included…. for the price these are offered having the included wireless charging pad is a deal in itself. Also included are three sets of gel like ear cushions that get the perfect fit and noise cancelling feature for your ear.
Once you have selected the right fit of ear cushions, these ear buds fit perfectly comfortable in your ear. I am able to wear both or a single ear bud for several hours without any discomfort. With some of my previous buds, they would start irritating me or getting a bit warm. I am able to wear these at work for several hours before the battery even gets low. The battery life is awesome. I have worn these buds at work taking and receiving numerous calls while listening to music and training videos via computer for almost an entire shift (12-hour shift in my case). The sound is a definite plus mark also. Phone calls are crystal clear and the person on the other end does not even know that I am on a wireless ear bud. In fact, they sound better than on the actual phone. The ANC feature and Jabra sound+ app work great when it works. I am not sure if it is my phone connection or just the length of time that I have been wearing the buds, but there are times when there is a feedback sound almost like a rubbing on a mic in my ear buds at times. Also, there are times when I get a pulsating of the sound in an out where people on the other end cannot hear me. When this has happened, I connect both ear buds and it stops. Other times I have simply turned the Jabra sound+ app to the off position and it stops. I have yet to figure out what is causing this. I may have to reach out to Jabra and see if they know. Other than that, the sound and function is great, and it does not deter me from making this my go to pair of buds for the moment.
The price is right, the case and wireless charging pad are a hit for me, the buds are small, comfortable, and inconspicuous when wearing, the battery life is impressive, and the sound is on point. I simply love these ear buds.

The Razer DeathStalker V2 Pro keyboard has definitely earned its name for the sleek, beautiful, and ergonomic aesthetics that it brings to the table. For a full size keyboard it sure does not take up a lot of space on the desktop. It is very low profile but with a sturdy aluminum frame. You can easily tote this as a travel companion for home, work, or gaming sessions without the weight of other full size keyboards. It has an awesome multi media turn switch and roller switch that can be programmed if you wish. I prefer the default of multi media play, pause, and volume controls. The keys themselves are very nice in aesthetics with the laser etched keycaps which are said to be more durable over time. I can attest to the laser etched durability from other keyboards I’ve owned and it is sure worth the extra investment as to not have to change keycaps once they are worn unless that is something that you are into. The key responsiveness is awesome and every tap is registered with the slightest pressure. I am loving this feature for fast word processing and certain games. I will get into that in a bit. The key switches are very quiet compared to the traditional red switches that I am accustomed to. There is little to no clacky sound when using this keyboard. It is a slight adjustment when you are wanting to hear that clicky responsiveness while gaming, but when you are in the house around others, they are pleased to hear me beating on the keyboard in the aggressive moments of my game. Now, where I have had to make a real adjustment is the low profile and spacing of the keys. Yes the keys are very responsive which is great, but I have had slight problems with the spacing of the keys or the overall height compared to my traditional gaming keyboard hitting keys that I did not intend. It is a little difficult to determine your placement on the keyboard because the keys are so well laid in their low profile format that my fingers tend to slide across the keys when I am in the moment of an intense fighting game. It could be that I am just overzealous with the tapping and punching of these keys. It is so smooth and effortless to hit these keys with the more evolutionary “optical mechanical” key switches. I wasn’t a fan of the moniker of optical mechanical because it sounded more of a oxymoron to combine the two, but it works, and I am a fan.
Razer has continued its performance in the wireless and RGB form factor and it is apparent in this keyboard. The RGB is beautiful, bright, and un limitless in its programming with the included Razer Chroma software. It is able to work across multiple devices and tie in your overall theme across all compatible devices making it a seamless light show. There is so much that I have yet to discover with RGB programming because I find a pattern that works for me and I stick to it for awhile until I get bored. But knowing that I have the option to change it up with all my RGB devices at the desktop makes it feel that I got a new keyboard when I change it. The wireless feature is AWEWSOME with connectivity to 3 devices!!! With the simple push of a button in Bluetooth mode I am able to switch between 3 paired devices and keep it moving with this keyboard. A definite plus is the long lasting battery of upto 40 hours. I use this keyboard for both my gaming laptop and my home desktop. It is a breeze to switch between the two and the responsiveness does not skip a beat from what I can tell. The battery has lasted for quite a while, do not know if I took it to the limit of the 40 hours as I do plug it up occasionally with the included USB-C cable just to ensure I always have power. But there is a battery indicator light on the keyboard that can be accessed by pressing both fn/end keys. Great feature.

Great companion fast charger

Great companion charger for Apple devices that no longer come with charger blocks. Advantage being that it has two USB-C type ports to charge two Apple devices simultaneously with a decent fast charge when both are connected. Granted the 35watts is split and clocked down when two devices are plugged in at the same time, but it still provides more standard charging power to one of the devices while the other is still charging.
The charger block itself is very compact with a folding prong for travel storage. When plugged into the outlet, it is small enough to allow for the other plug of a dual outlet to still be used. The overall size is about 1.5” either way. This is very nice when using a laptop in conjunction with charging two devices and not using usb ports on your laptop for charging.
With one device plugged in, depending on how low the battery charge is, let’s say 15 percent, the initial fast or rapid charge provides a decent refill up to about 80 percent charge within the first 15 – 25 minutes. It does seem that when you reach optimal charge, it does slow down a little bit, but charges fully within 45 minutes to an hour no matter how low the charge. I would assume all this depends on your battery health and age of your device. So these numbers are based on a few charges on my phone, watch, and tablet. I am very pleased to have another option for fast charging at a decent price compared to other brands that have cornered the market for some time.

Definitely. I use mine to do yard work and tune out the unwanted noise of surrounding loud people... Just need to make sure you use the proper size wing tip
