Full corded power with a cordless feel

I have had several Shark vacuums over the years and have always had nothing but love for the Shark brand. This Shark corded stick vacuum does not disappoint and lives up to my expectations from such a reputable company.
Out of the box it comes with all the necessary attachments you think you would need to keep a clean living space. Taking out all the attachments and the base I could tell that it was going to be a very lightweight appliance and fit my needs perfectly. It was simple and straightforward to assemble that I just quickly snapped together the primary base and suction home with one simple click.
It comes equipped with a very long power cord that allows for optimal travel when cleaning without having to unplug numerous times in order to get the job done. It has a somewhat gimmicky odor neutralizer freshener that you simply plug in and twist to get the level of freshness that you desire. It does smell good and works as it should, but I say gimmicky because it is essentially a plug in air freshener attached to the vacuum to blow fresh smelling fragrance when in operation. I/m not knocking it by any means as it does work, just do not know for how long it lasts. Also coming with this vacuum is the furniture attachment and crevice cleaning tool. All easily attached with a simple click here, click there, and your off to go.
What makes this vacuum great is the power you get from a corded vacuum but the light weight maneuverability of a cordless stick vacuum. This thing is very powerful and easy to clean with the clear snap dust canister. It has both a sponge filter, also easy to clean, and an aluminum mesh filter similar to a coffee filter. It has two settings for hard floors and carpet. When the setting is changed, it either activates or deactivates a second powerful fin brush for extra cleaning power. There is also a bright led light on the front but is not very useful because it only lights a small area directly in front of the vacuum. For me at least this was not a helpful feature because I usually clean in well lit areas. I do see it being useful if you are ab le to fit it under your furniture to clean.
When not in use, this vacuum is pretty much self contained for easy storage. You are able to detach the suction base and sit on the vacuum floor base with a hidden slot. The hose tube has an attachment for the crevice tool and furniture tool. But then there is no place for the handheld vacuum base which was kind of a disappointment for me. It seems there is always that 1 tool that does not have a home for the self storage which ends up making that one piece easy to lose.
Overall, other than the few minor short comings of storage and the gimmicky add ons, I feel this vacuum is a functional and worthy purchase for the home consumer. Very light weight, powerful, and versatile cleaning.

Quick, Easy, Super Quiet

I didn't know that a simple change in garbage disposal could make such a huge impact on my sanity and peace!
Needed a new garbage disposal due to older one slowly going to garbage, pun intended, so I jumped at the opportunity to grab this smart choice garbage disposal in hopes that I made the "Smart Choice". Okay...
Not much to say about a garbage disposal for the overall mechanics as it does get the job done as best as I can tell compared to other disposals. The food particles go down and disappear without causing a clog or back up in the sink. Now for the the aesthetics of a garbage disposal this Smart Choice does look sleek with its narrow body which does give a little extra room in the under sink cabinet for the unsightly storage items that we all try to hide in that small space.
But the beauty of this garbage disposal lies in the easy install and super silent grinding sound that it produces. Out of the box it comes with the necessary mount but if you have the already three screw mount you can simply unplug twist off, and then place this disposal up in the mount twist on and plug in, ready to go. Power it up and the disposal is working in its silent glory. This disposal is very quiet and able to be operated without the annoying super loud grinding sounds that my other disposal produced. I'm not sure if its because my disposal was old or going down, but this Smart Choice is truly super quiet for the powerful grinding that it is doing. Now my wife is able to dispose of all the food particles she wants without aggravating me while watching the game. She also has a habit of throwing coffee grounds and rice in the sink which I always have to go behind her and clean out because the old disposal would allow this to build up. So far, the Smart Choice grinds all and allows all to pass through without issue. I feel I made the Smart Choice wit h this disposal. Good Buy from Best Buy!

Full immersive sound gaming with comfort

I have finally found a pair of headphones that i can enjoy for hours with totally immersive sound that puts me right into the game!!!
Straight out of the box I was impressed with the light weight of the headphones and overall build quality. They have a good size headband with a very thick leatherette cushion for comfort. The band does flex slightly for maneuverability and has an adjustable slider. The ear cups are also very large with the same cushion leatherette feel and completely cover the ears. Both are very comfortable and I am able to wear these headphones no problem with wearing glasses. The weight is hardly noticeable which makes for extra comfort for long gaming and I can play for hours without getting very warm compared to other headphones that I have used. The ear cups do provide a sense of noise cancellation without being noise cancelling.
Now the sound produced is where it steps it up a notch. Using the 3.5mm head jack you are going to get the standard sound expected, but that is not why I got these, I wanted the surround sound. I didn't believe there would be a huge difference when plugging in the usb adapter, but wow, it fully immerses you into the game!
I am able to hear speech from game characters as if if I am in the same room with them. As I move around the game, the sound and speech moves smoothly from different directions based on my actions. It gives me a heads up on where things are coming from and what to expect when engaged in certain games. The boom mic is a plus with the swing up to mute. The mic sits in the perfect position for me and catches my voice very clearly. My friends are able to hear every word I say without delay. These headphones also work extremely well with discord as I have had issues with other headphones working properly with that platform.
I am extremely satisfied with these headphones and look forward to many hours played using them.

Beautiful resolution digital sharing

The Nixplay smart photo frame is a beautiful way to share those family memories. It displays our photos at a great resolution and is very easy to setup. It has a modern black bezel with smooth finish and a magnetic stand that can be placed on the frame to display in either landscape or portrait mode. The frame auto rotates when placed in either of these display modes which is a nice feature.
To get started you simply plug in the frame with included power adapter, enter the initial setup parameters on the frame using the touchscreen, and then setup your account on either the website or by downloading the Nixplay app. Now this is where I get a little down on this frame. The website and app work well, but it seems a little limited as how you ad photos. You either add the photos by simply dragging and dropping the photos to the assigned frame and then it starts displaying the photos. If you have a Google photos account you can also add photos directly from here, but you cannot select the photos directly and drag them to other albums already setup on the frame. You have to keep them as Google photo memories or make albums on your Google photo account and then add the entire album. I did not like this at all and could not find a setting to enable adding photos directly from my Google photo account.
The frame has plenty of memory for all your photos, and apparently there is a monthly subscription that can be purchased for additional storage and possibly more settings that would enable further editing of the photos added. The included settings are just fine and I enjoy the transitions of the photos and the screen fill with the color match setting. It really allows sharing of hundreds of photos and memories. The screen is very bright and cam be viewed from many angles.
If you get more than one frame they can be linked and add to the sharing. Lastly, the frame is setup with an email account where you can have family members add photos to the frame given you send them the link to email photos. Overall a nice digital photo frame to share priceless memories with high resolution.

Powerful clean space saving concept

I actually really like the concept of the Dell all-in-one desktop and design overall. But I do not like the fact that Dell is slightly misleading by including a Ryzen AMD processor and dubbing it a gaming desktop. But that would not dissuade me or others that are in the market for something like this all in one.
Unboxing is straight forward, packaged nice to protect the monitor/touchscreen – which I will get back to a little later, two angled leg stands easily attached with zero tools needed, power cord, nice entry level wireless keyboard and mouse that include batteries, plug in, place, update, sign on, and your ready to go! Simple as 1, 2, 3…
First impressions after setting up… yes I have a more spec ready gaming setup elsewhere, but that is not why I got this all in on, so for what its purpose is I am highly satisfied, or should I say my wife is happily satisfied since it is her setup. This “desktop” comes with all the specs needed for impressive computing at a little above entry level. It has a nice 23.8" IPS touchscreen that does not reflect a lot of glare and produces beautiful 1080 crisp resolution. It has a nice hideaway webcam that pops up with a simple touch and can be pushed down when not in use if you want that extra sense of privacy knowing that your webcam isn’t staring you in the face. It has all the connectivity you will need to start with (1 HDMI, 4 USB ports total – 2 usb 3.1A, 1 usb 3.2A, and a slick 1 usb 3.2 type C on the side which you can easily add another usb hub station or use to quickly connect any peripheral or use for quick charging.
The speakers included are placed directly on the lower front designed in the likeness of a pc soundbar. The speakers are very impressive for what they are. There is no need to purchase a standalone sound system for this pc unless you are looking for room deafening sound. These speakers get loud and produce pleasant undistorted untinned sound.
The wireless keyboard and mouse are a little bit above the usual entry level that are included with most pc’s. The full size keyboard has a nice feel to it and they key response is good and somewhat has a tick feedback. The mouse is just okay. It all works as it should and gets you a jumpstart on where you might want to go with this desktop.
Internals are very good for an all in one desktop, it has a 512 GB SSD which is a good start but not a lot if you are wanting to use for gaming… at least installed games. It comes with a blazing fast AMD Ryzen 5 processer with 6 cores and 8GB of DDR Ram which can be upgraded to 32GB with a second slot available, which is super nice to be able to do in an all in one!
Now for the usage and productivity…. This thing is made to be a space saver and clean up all the dangly hanging “stuff” of a conventional setup… it excels at that 110%. I really love the setup and design with the angled leg stands on a beautiful 23.8” screen. The screen has angle adjustments to get the perfect viewing angle even though there is little to no glare on the matte finish IPS screen.
Back to the touch screen, it is a cool concept, but not very practical on a desktop setup that is going to be used for the traditional computing. Now if this was going to be used as point of sale or register type setup for a small or home business… it would be perfect. I tried using the touchscreen interface which is nice for random select and open items but I felt myself reverting back to key and mouse. It felt almost uncomfortable reaching for the screen on a desktop setup. So, touchscreen a no go for us for what we are using it for. Processing speeds are impressive with quick start up and fantastic multi-tasking., There is little to no lag on power eating applications such as video/photo editing, hobby project programs (i.e.. Cricut, Adobe, etc..). Streaming is super nice with the touchscreen and front facing speakers. Everything that you possibly want to do with this desktop it is more than capable other than the hard core gaming. Now you can game on this respectively with the AMD Ryzen processor and AMD Radeon GPU, but with graphic intensive games, it will need to be a t the lowest settings. I played a couple of games before I got as little frustrated with the memory warnings and low fps which were throttled down to below 60 fps and averaging 35-45 fps which made the game not enjoyable for what I’m used to. But, a big BUT, I did not get this to game on, so that is not a turn off. This desktop is being used as my wife’s project center for her small business/hobby station. For this it works perfect and has all the processing speed that we need and we can always upgrade a bit if needed. The major plus is the all in one space saving and cord cleaning concept of this desktop. We are able to have an above entry level powerful setup that meets all her needs plus. We are very happy with this all in one and actually added a second monitor to add to her multitasking abilities since we saved on space. It works wonders as her setup and she is super happy as am I.

Classic Marshall design and sound

Easily out of the box, the Marshall - Emberton speaker sets itself apart with its classic Marshall styling. It has a miniature retro Marshall amp/floor monitor vibe with the box styling and gold script writing and control button. The black fence mesh grills on front and back are wrapped with a soft but durable feeling rubber trim. The speaker has a good hefty feel for the small size and will definitely stay in place wherever you sit it down to enjoy so good vibes. It comes with a simplistic design factor of using a single usb-c power input, multi directional rocker control button for power, skip, and volume, a Bluetooth connect button, and a very helpful and visible battery level led scale on top.
I was expecting a good classic sound from this speaker when powered up and I was introduced with a “guitar hero” chord entry on power up and outro on power down. Very simple aesthetic but I really enjoyed this subtle touch. Now the sound continued from here and I was disappointed when connected to my phone. I was surprised at the powerful sounds produced from this somewhat small form factor speaker. I pushed the volume to the max on several different genres of music and the speaker held its own. There was dynamic vocals and a good spectrum of bass. There was little to no distortion in the sound produced at high volumes and the sound carried throughout the room. I then took the speaker poolside and was able to enjoy clear sound while enjoying the pool. This speaker is designated as water resistant but I didn’t want to test that too much even though it has a durable feel with the rubber surround and very well protected mesh grills. I really appreciate the led battery indicator so you have a feel for when its time to plug the speaker into power source. However, I used this speaker for hours at high volumes and only used three of the ten bars of battery.
Overall, I am very pleased with this speaker and will carry it with me whenever I can as it is small enough to be portable without being cumbersome and powerful enough to enjoy anywhere.

Good add on for a better gaming experience

The Asus - TUF 23.8" monitor is the perfect add on for a gaming laptop to enhance gaming experience at a decent budgeted price.
I use this monitor with a Dell G15 gaming laptop that has quite enough specs to push this monitor to the limits with the 165Hz 1ms display and response. The visuals are very clear and responsive with little to no lag once so ever. The colors spectrum is very pleasing and even inn dark setting games, the graphics pop with very little ghosting or smearing.
I connected the monitor via the hdmi connection and utilize this monitor as a dual screen with my laptop and it proves twice as convenient when gaming or computing on different platforms. It has built in speakers which are just okay and can be used as an alternative to the laptop speakers or headphones if you are not in the mood. The control buttons are placed in back of the monitor on the right lower side out of view. The buttons do feel a tab on the cheap side but get the job done with several adjustment points and features to play with to fine tune your viewing experience. I found that once you start using the adjustments or presets, it is difficult to get that perfect setting if you are OCD so I just left it a default setting which are just fine for this monitor and its purpose.
The viewing angles are nice but I do wish there was more of a height adjustment to free up more desk space under the monitor even though it does have a fairly small footprint. Overall, a good budget minded gaming monitor that adds a better quality gaming experience if you are need of a monitor for a gaming laptop or a dual monitor setup.

Want to love but they fell short

I love the Adidas brand in general for apparel and thought these earbuds would fit flawlessly in the Adidas brand wardrobe, but they fall short in to many areas to completely love.
I want to start with the good but I would be doing a disservice to those wanting to invest and not waste time, so, I will come out swinging. Unboxing the earbuds I was excited due to the overall look and aesthetics presented to me on the packaging, that excitement turned into confusion when I had the "protective" case in hand. It looks nice but it provides no protestation at all while the buds are housed in their respective charging station. The top of the top of the case is fitted with a very thin fabric similar to a dri-fit shirt that covers two holes directly over the ear buds. The fabric covering is essentially see thru and just rests on top of the ear buds. So if you just toss your case in a bag the bugs are exposed to being damaged. The next completely confusing design to me is the magnetic case top.... it just falls off if opened too far or fast. This case is nothing more than a charging dock station. Looks very nice, charges well, holds charge, but provides little to no protection.
Connecting the ear buds was very easy via bluetooth. The connection was stable initially but after long use, I would get disconnected intermittently. When using one ear bud at a time, I would get the disconnect sound from the other bud even though it was still housed in the case, fairly annoying. After pairing the buds I would expect that it would remained paired and connected when not in use, but I would place the buds back into the charging case to recharge after long use and when I received a phone call, I would immediately take a bud out place in my ear, and it would make the sound of being connected, however I had to manually connect at times, very annoying.
Okay, the good... Sound is fantastic! It even comes with available EQ app, a real EQ adjustment for several frequencies to fine tune your sound. Although very minute adjustments, it is a step up from other brands claiming EQ adjustment. I was satisfied with the sound so I didn't continually adjust my EQ levels. The comfort is unparallel to my previous brand buds, I can wear these for hours without discomfort. I've actually fell asleep with buds in ear and they stayed put until I woke up and still didn't have any discomfort. Lastly, the battery life is acceptable for the quality of sound produced.
Overall, I want love to these buds, but the case in my opinion is a fail as I would rather have full protection, the intermittent connection loss is annoying, but the design, comfort and sound keeps me wanting to use them.

Good Entry to Mid-Level gaming

Okay, Asus has packaged a gaming desktop into a form factor to easily pick up, unpack, connect a go for a reasonable price point for someone wanting to enter the gaming scene. But be mindful that I said enter into gaming. This desktop comes with all the “minimum required specs” for about any game on the market, however, minimum requirements are not always the best depending on the game being played. It comes packed with a very capable and respectable Intel i5 1th generation processor with enough power to handle multitasking with audio, video, gaming, and editing without stutter. Provides 16gb DDR4 Ram that comes in at mid-level to easily handle any high grade game graphics at mid to high settings but is (upgradeable up to 64gb). NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660ti gpu is included that is also very respectable at being to process games at higher settings with ease and is a very good companion given the state of the GPU prices as of late. It only comes with 512 gb SSD which is a little of a let down considering that the SSD is probably one area where ASUS could’ve spent a few more bucks to provide at least 1 – 2 TB of storage to get this desktop at a great receiving and desirable point even at the current price. They kind of missed the target there and for what I cannot understand. It does come packed with plenty of USB 3.1 ports for all your devices (6 to be exact) in the rear with an additional 2 USB ports on top with a 3.5mm audio jack on top , HDMI outputs, DisplayPort outputs, ethernet ports, for all of your connectivity. Windows 11 is also included but you have to install and update after initial set up which didn’t take long at all. I was a little apprehensive with the Windows 11 update at first but it works very well with the gaming platform and has a clean and user friendly vibe to it.
Unboxing the pc was very pleasing, it was packaged well with sturdy foam inserts, the clear vinyl abs plastic shell/side not installed and packaged separately to avoid any unforeseen damage or scratches, comes with a very mediocre wired keyboard and mouse just to get you started, and the vented aluminum side covering installed. To install the clear siding you simply remove the four attached screws and replace with the included screws and spacers packaged in a small plastic bag. The spacers are needed to provide a little extra cooling thru the small approximately 4mm gap or essentially vent that is produced around the clear siding since it is not perforated for cooling. I thought of modifying the siding myself by drilling holes for extra cooling but decided to wait to see how the pc performed under a load. The tower itself feels very well built and is not to heavy. There is a slight z design on the front to allow for the viewing of the RGB’s in front along with thru the clear siding.
Start up and set up is very fast with the included SSD as expected, no surprises there. There was not a lot of bloatware updates that were needed when I first powered up other Windows 11 install and update. I started testing the pc with various 4K/HD videos and audio while also performing some web searches and doing some video editing. It handled well and was not very loud at all with fan noise or processing. At idle the pc temperature hovered between 50* - 60* and when I was multitasking it raised slightly to between 75*-85*. The cpu processing was at 3.5 GHZ – 4.5GHz and was only using 23% - 33% Ram. I was able to easily stream and edit at the same time with no interference on either platform that I was using.
I have played extensively Wildlands (at highest settings), Forza Horizon 5 (at highest setting), NBA 2k22, and Madden 22, all at which performed beautifully. The fan did not get loud, actually I never noticed the fan noise at all, there was no lag in any games and all games produced at lowest maybe 80fps up to 120 fps. So far I am very please with this ASUS desktop, but I do wish they included more storage (at least 1TB. It is hard to consider this anything other than entry to mid level given the low 512gb of storage and budget friendly 1660ti gpu. BUT, it is easily upgradable from the respectable 16gb DDR Ram upto 64gb, and storage capacity with additional M.2 slots, PCIe slots, and DDR4 DIMM slots. I feel that this ASUS gaming desktop will stand the test of time hopefully for my needs and growth in gaming and video editing.
Unboxing the pc was very pleasing, it was packaged well with sturdy foam inserts, the clear vinyl abs plastic shell/side not installed and packaged separately to avoid any unforeseen damage or scratches, comes with a very mediocre wired keyboard and mouse just to get you started, and the vented aluminum side covering installed. To install the clear siding you simply remove the four attached screws and replace with the included screws and spacers packaged in a small plastic bag. The spacers are needed to provide a little extra cooling thru the small approximately 4mm gap or essentially vent that is produced around the clear siding since it is not perforated for cooling. I thought of modifying the siding myself by drilling holes for extra cooling but decided to wait to see how the pc performed under a load. The tower itself feels very well built and is not to heavy. There is a slight z design on the front to allow for the viewing of the RGB’s in front along with thru the clear siding.
Start up and set up is very fast with the included SSD as expected, no surprises there. There was not a lot of bloatware updates that were needed when I first powered up other Windows 11 install and update. I started testing the pc with various 4K/HD videos and audio while also performing some web searches and doing some video editing. It handled well and was not very loud at all with fan noise or processing. At idle the pc temperature hovered between 50* - 60* and when I was multitasking it raised slightly to between 75*-85*. The cpu processing was at 3.5 GHZ – 4.5GHz and was only using 23% - 33% Ram. I was able to easily stream and edit at the same time with no interference on either platform that I was using.
I have played extensively Wildlands (at highest settings), Forza Horizon 5 (at highest setting), NBA 2k22, and Madden 22, all at which performed beautifully. The fan did not get loud, actually I never noticed the fan noise at all, there was no lag in any games and all games produced at lowest maybe 80fps up to 120 fps. So far I am very please with this ASUS desktop, but I do wish they included more storage (at least 1TB. It is hard to consider this anything other than entry to mid level given the low 512gb of storage and budget friendly 1660ti gpu. BUT, it is easily upgradable from the respectable 16gb DDR Ram upto 64gb, and storage capacity with additional M.2 slots, PCIe slots, and DDR4 DIMM slots. I feel that this ASUS gaming desktop will stand the test of time hopefully for my needs and growth in gaming and video editing.

Lightweight palm fitting precise mouse

This mouse is where its at!!! Straight out of the box it is quite impressive. The aesthetics of this mouse are incomparable. It has a futuristic mesh design that makes it extremely lightweight but still feels like a quality build that will last for some time. And when I say lightweight, I can hardly feel that I'm holding a mouse at all!
It comes packaged with a USB type C wireless dongle to connect wirelessly to your setup , an extension adapter if needed, and a USB type C to USB type A data cable for charging and connecting with a wire to your setup. It was an easy setup and connect with the wireless dongle, I simply plugged it in to my available USB C port turned the mouse switch to 2.4ghz and my pc automatically connected without hesitation.
When I powered up the mouse it flashed green before cycling thru several other rgb settings indicating that it was sufficiently charged to perform nominally. If the battery level drops to lower levels below 6 - 10 percent the mouse yellow and red if it drops below 5 percent.
This mouse comes with 5 preset cpi settings that easily adjusted by pressing the center button 4 on top of the mouse. When pressed the rgb light indicator will change letting you know which setting you are set to (400 - purple, 800 - blue, 1200 - green, 2400 - yelow, 3200 - red) I primarily use 1200 cpi for most of my gaming and computing needs.
If you want to fine tune this mouse to be all about you from the rgb settings to the 9 programmable buttons, there is the SteelEngine download that allows for al of that. It shows all the statistics of your mouse, firmware updates, button assignments, and battery level. Great tool to get the most out of the mouse.
Ergonomically this mouse feels perfect in the palm of my hand. My hand rests comfortably on top in a natural feeling position with no fatigue. All the buttons are in the perfect position for me and they have a satisfying click and response with each button. The mouse slides very smoothly and all response time is very satisfactory. I see no lag as of yet with any of my gaming but I am waiting to see what happens when the battery life gets low. Hopefully it will perform just as well. There are settings in the SteelEngine platform that configure the mouse for energy saving modes but I like all the RGB affects to be fully active.
So far I love this mouse and have zero gripes!
