A cut above the rest

Over the years I have used a variety of trimmers for nose and ear hair. I was never very satisfied with the results with these trimmers and felt they didn't trim closely or pulled instead of cutting.
I was looking for something with a solid build quality, power and the ability to cut cleanly. That's where this trimmer comes in. This thing is built like a tank, and it is contoured to fit in your hand comfortably. The trimmer can be used wet or dry and it’s ready for wherever you want to use it, in the shower or by the sink after shaving.
With 45 minutes of battery life, you can get several uses on a single charge. After the initial charge of 8 hours, per the instructions, charging is quick and easy. The tip is removable to allow for cleaning after each use. The only switch is the power switch, and it is a two-position slide type.
The overall quality and ease of use make this a great addition to the bathroom for your grooming regiment. This is a winner for sure and I would recommend it to anyone tired of the cheap nose and ear hair grooming tools of the past.

Great photo tool

I recently installed the Adobe Photoshop Elements 2023 which was just released. I have had older versions on other PCs, but the Adobe Photoshop Elements 2023 has so much more to offer. After install in the program and launching it, Photoshop Elements goes through your library of pictures and locates duplicates and gives you the opportunity to combine and keep the better copy of each duplicate found.
Within the application, you have a home or landing page that provides you with different tools for creating projects, organizing your photos and videos and an edit tool for photos and videos.

Once you import your photos and videos, Photoshop organizes the photos and videos by date found on the photos meta data and allows you to fine tune or correct dates. When the Organizer tool is selected you have several different ways to organize your photos and videos.
Under the Media selection, all your photos and videos are displayed in a grid from oldest to newest date. If you select a picture the program displays the date the picture was created, when it was imported and the source of the imported photo.
When choosing the People selection, all faces are display from your media and once you start to name the faces on your pictures, Photoshop starts to recognize the people from other pictures and asks you to confirm the names. This is a great tool to identify who is in each photo. It works so well that it started to identify faces in pictures within a picture.
There are two other selections, Places and Events that allow you to organize your pictures by location or types of events. These are great tools to group your photos by special occasions such as weddings, birthday parties, etc. The Photo and Video editor provide you with the ability to clean up pictures and videos which may need some form of correction.
The home page provides tons of tools for projects and sharing on social media. I have been using Adobe Photoshop Elements 2023 for a couple of weeks and have been discovering new things daily. This is a great tool for anyone challenged by their person media library!

Bring the Theater to your home!

Moving up from an 83” LCD 4K TV to a 100” screen is a huge deal. To accomplish this feat I needed a projector that could handle that task. That’s where the Epson Home Cinema 2350 4K gaming projector comes in.
This is a feature packed Projector that includes Android TV, Two HDMI inputs, (the Android TV takes up one HDMI input), 10-Watt internal speaker, mini jack audio output for external speakers and Bluetooth connectivity for Bluetooth speakers. On the video side this is a 4K projector with HDR10 and 2,800 lumens of brightness. For video gaming there is 120 FPS refresh rate at 1080p resolution. Included in the box are two remote controls. One controls the Projector and the other controls the Android TV.
I set the Cinema 2350 up 14 feet from my screen and used the Lens Shift control to size the picture to fit my 100” screen. Once I dialed in the size the next challenge was to focus the picture using a slide control on the top of the projector. I would personally prefer a focus control that is on the lens itself. The slide control does the job but can be a bit touchy. Once I signed into the Android TV and connected to my WI-FI, I was able to stream from my favorite streaming channels using the internal speaker. I connected the HDMI ARC input to my AVR to manage my other devices and Video game. After making some adjustments to the picture settings I was all set to start using the Cinema 2350.
Watching sources on such a large screen will make small flaws in the source material more obvious. When viewing UHD Blu Rays, the picture is outstanding with sharp detail and excellent motion handling. Streaming from the latest version of Apple TV and the ROKU HD is also excellent. Fios 4K varied by the content but was fairly good with some visible motion artifacts. Playing games at 1080p the motion lag was excellent at 20ms and the 2350 kept up with ease.
I was surprised at how easy it was to move from an 83” TV to a 100” screen. The Cinema 2350 creates that movie theater atmosphere with ease and is something I would recommend to anyone wanting to create a home theater in their home.

Soundcore knocks it out of the park!

The first thing I want to say about these earphones is, they are outstanding and the best sounding earbuds I have used.
First, the fit is very comfortable, and they stay in place while exercising. Soundcore provides you with several different size ear tips for the best fit. When wearing them the fit creates a good seal to your ear and helps to keep outside noise from coloring your listening experience.
Features wise, there are a lot packed into these small earphones. Not only do they play music, but they are geared for the health of the person using them. Liberty 4’s App has a section called Soundcore Wellness, that can track your heart rate, stress level and blood oxygen level and show daily, weekly, etc. The health portion of the app is a great feature for when I am working out and I want to maintain healthy levels.
As for the sound, the Liberty has that covered too. Through the application you can customize the sound for special immersion, use the preset sound settings or customize the eq to your liking. With the HearID feature you can personalize how you hear sound from the Liberty 4s. There are three settings for noise Ambient sound settings, Noise Cancellation, Normal and Transparency. These have a full clean sound that doesn’t seem possible with their size or shape. Bass is full and the overall sound is outstanding.
There is a charging case for storing and charging the earbud that is 2¼” x 2½” x 1”. The charging case allows you to charge the earbuds for up to twenty-nine hours. Fully charged, the Liberty 4s will play up to nine hours. There is a status light on the case that shows when the case is being charged
As for controls on the earbuds, each has three that can be customized to your preferences. depending on what function you are using, the button use will change. For example when you are answering a call the buttons control answer and ending the call, etc.

For my daily use with the Liberty 4s, I have been extremely happy with the overall sound quality and features when exercising and highly recommend them.

Great Printer

The HP Office Jet Pro 8034e is the best printer I have ever owned. I can’t believe how quick the setup was. The added bonus of Insta Ink makes maintaining the 8034e extremely easy.
Taking the printer out of the box you will find a quick start guide, power cord, and starter ink cartridges. The instructions have you use the HP Smart phone app to move through the setup process. This makes setup move quickly and easy, whether installing the ink or setting up the Wi-Fi.

The HP Smart app allows you to quickly check the printer’s status and the ink level and if you have multiple HP printers, you can manage them from the app as well. The Printer’s touch screen tilts for better visibility and provides copy, scan, print and the settings menus for managing the printer. You will find the page feeder on the top of the scan screen that will hold multiple pages to be copied or scanned. I find this to be a great feature. The printer paper is loaded from a tray on the bottom of the front of the printer and once printed it exits above the paper tray. The 8034e can print double sided prints from multiple single pages and it does it quickly. Any device that is on the same Wi-Fi network can print to the 8034e. whether it’s from your PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone, printing is simple.
The 8034e is made of hard plastic and is sturdy in construction. The print quality is excellent and fast in both black and color printing with no smearing.
I have had several printers over the years, and this is the best one I have ever had and recommend it to anyone who needs a multipurpose printer.

This is a great soundbar

I needed a soundbar for my son’s bedroom set up for gaming and watching movies. With all the options out there, it can be very overwhelming. I wanted something that could provide some level of Dolby Atmos and can expand with a sub and surround speakers when I was ready. I chose the Bose Smart Soundbar 600 for just that reason.
Included in the packaging is the soundbar, power cord, optical cable, HDMI cable and instructions. Setup for the 600 is completed through the Bose application available on your phone. Once you have downloaded and created your Bose Music app profile or if you already have an account, you log in. After logging in, you are walked through adding the soundbar to the app. When the soundbar is in the Bose Music app you can select the source which include TV, Bluetooth and Airplay. The other options are Group, Audio and Power. With the Group option you have the ability to add other Bluetooth speakers to the 600 for whole house audio. This is a great feature for music threw out the house during parties. Audio allows you to select whether the soundbar is wall mounted or on a tabletop, set the delay for lip sync, adjust the levels for the center or height channels and set the bass and treble.
Through the Bose Music app you can Airplay or use Bluetooth to stream music from your phone. Streaming music sounds great, full and clear. I was very pleased with the sound quality and volume it produced. When watching movies, the dialog was nicely centered and clear. The overall sound when watching a movie was enveloping with the Atmos speakers expanding the stage. The 600 would benefit from the optional wireless bass module to fill in the lower end.
Overall, this is a great sound bar for any setup whether a gamer, music lover or movie watcher and I highly recommend it.

Almost but not quite

I want to love this product, but there are a couple of areas that hold it back from being a great garage door opener. The Wyze comes with a HD camera, garage door controller, required wires, various adhesive mounting stickers, a warning placard and QR code sticker.
The good:
The camera quality is excellent when viewed through my iPhone and iPad. It captures a clean wide angle of my garage.
The challenges:
For the Garage controller to work, the camera has to see the QR sticker which is adhered to the garage door. When I first set the camera up, I placed it on the bottom of the garage door opener using the magnet. From there everything worked fine with the Wyze units, however the remote door openers in my cars didn't work. After watching an installation video, it says that you should mount the camera near the garage door opener because it may interfere with the antenna for the opener and it's remote. I moved the camera higher on the garage door opener mounting bracket and then it just showed the door when it was open and not the garage at all. I moved it further back on the garage ceiling for better coverage of the garage. This improved the view of the garage but then the QE code sticker wasn't big enough for the camera to pick up and i kept getting a message to calibrate the camera. To trouble shoot, I moved the QR code sticker to the back of the garage door motor and it seemed to work better, but it was still intermittent when opening the door and I would occasionally get the message to calibrate the camera.
The approach to this opener is good, but the limitation with the QR sticker are frustrating. I would recommend this to someone who has lower ceiling heights, as mine are 12' high.

Great Charger

I was looking for a charger for my iPhone 13 with a larger charging block for faster charging. My iPhone 13 didn't include the charging block and I was using my old iPhone charger. I wanted a reasonably priced charger and the Insigna 30W USB-C charger fit the bill. It's compact size and foldable electrical plug makes it great for traveling. The included six-foot lighting plug allows you flexible placement of your device being charged.
The charging block can also be used with other devices that require a 30-watt charger. What great is this an Apple certified charger and gives you peace of mind. I have used it with my iPad Pro, and it works flawlessly. Charging is fast, though it required me to pick up a USB-C iPad cable to charge it.
The savings with the Insignia vs the brand charger is significant, nearly fifty percent less. I think that this is the best of both worlds, a great charger at an affordable price. I would recommend this charger to anyone in search of a quality Apple alternative.

Very good sport headphones

I needed a pair of in- ear sport headphones that wrapped around my ear to stay in place while working out. I picked up the JVC True wireless noise canceling headphones from the True Fitness series, to fill that requirement. I have to say that they sound very good. These are not high-end earbuds but play music and pod cast at a high enough volume to be clear and easy to listen to. The highs are clean and crisp without being fatiguing. The bass is good enough, but not super deep. These are noise canceling earbuds and when they are in my ears, they create a good seal to keep out all but the loudest noises.
There are three sound mode that can be accessed by tapping the right earbud’s touch censor for one second for each sound mode. To play/ pause from the right earbuds tap the touch censor once. To skip forward tap the touch censor twice and skip back tap it three times. The left earbud’s touch censor controls the play/pause and volume. The packaging states that the batteries last 30 hours of use. I have been using mine for an hour each day for two weeks and they are still going strong. The included charging case is great for protecting the earbuds when not in use and charging them as well.
I have been very impressed by how well these earbuds stay in place while working out and recommend them to anyone looking for a well-rounded set of fitness earbuds!

Great Air Fryer

Bella Pro series 4.2 QT air fryer with the touchscreen has been a great addition to my kitchen. The stainless-steel finish matches perfectly with my existing appliances. Besides having the Air frying mode, it bakes, roasts, and broils. What I really like is that you can reheat or keep food warm while preparing other dishes. I was looking for a larger size, but since our son has returned to college the 4.2 qt size is perfect for me and my wife even though it says it cooks for 4-6 people. Whether we are doing veggies or roasting potatoes, everything comes out great and the cleanup is a snap.
I especially like the reheat option that lets me reheat meals without turning the oven on and making the kitchen hot. The digital display and touch screen make using the Bella a no brainer and allows easy wiping up after use.
The Bella is not overly large and allows easy storing either on the counter or in a cabinet because of its compact size.
I really like this air fryer and thing it would make a great addition to any kitchen.

You can have two head phone sets. If you use an RCA "Y" connector or if you TV has an optical out put and a analog (RCA) output, you could put one set on the optical and the second one on the RCA.

This computer does not have fire wire. Are there any slots available to where I can add a fire wire card? My older video cam uses fire wire, and my analog to digital converter also uses fire wire.

Will this play work with an LG 65EG9600?
I know the 65EG6500 does not support HDR, but will it still send native 4k to the TV?
From my understanding so long as your TV is HDMI 2.0 and HDCH 2.2 and 4k it should display a 4k picture
