Great Keyboard and Mouse set, weak on instructions

The Logitech MK 955 keyboard and mouse combination are extremely useful when you have multiple devices. You can set the keyboard and mouse up two different ways. The first way is to use the included dongle for connecting both the keyboard and the mouse. The second way is to use Bluetooth. When connecting with Bluetooth, you can connect to three different devices, all using different operating systems. I was able to successfully connect my Window Desktop, iPad 11 Pro and a second windows PC. Switching between each connected device is quite easy, on the Keyboard there are three buttons that represent each of the connected devices. On the bottom of the mouse there is a button that I used to toggle between the three connected devices.
The MK955 Keyboard is extremely easy to type on with great feedback while typing and the keys themselves are large and comfortable while typing. The M750L mouse is contoured to fit in your hand naturally and comfortably. The buttons on the mouse respond well as did the scroll wheel.
One of the best features to make this combination stand out from others is the ability to customize the buttons on the mouse and the keys on the keyboard. By downloading the Logi Options + App from Logitech to your PC, you can customize how the buttons and scroll wheel work on the mouse. On the Keyboard you can customize the top row of keys by selecting the key you wish to change from the drop-down box using the Logi Options + App. It is really that simple to make changes.
The one area that I found to be an issue was the instructions. The instructions printed on the box are extremely basic. The instructions are fine for setting up a PC using the dongle, but not for using the instructions with Bluetooth. Logitech assumes that the person that is using the MK955 combo has some degree of computer knowledge and would be able to decipher the symbols that are used. I had no problem with this, but my older family members did. When adding my iPad 11 Pro with Bluetooth, the iPad presents you with a code that needs to be keyed on the MK955 but does not tell you to hit the enter button after keying the code in on the keyboard. It was only by chance that I hit the enter button to complete the set up.
The Signature Slim Combo MK955 is an outstanding keyboard and mouse set to use on multiple devices. Having the ability to use a full-size keyboard for my PC, iPad, iPhone, etc. is a great convenience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade or in need of a change

HP 8139e is a winner!

The Office Jet Pro 8130e is the latest in the Office Jet Pro series from HP and it is an outstanding printer. Having had many HP printers over the years it is nice to see how each generation has provided more features, speed of printing and remained affordable. The 8130e looks very similar to the other in the previous iterations. The improvements come with the touchscreen and included features. The 8130e includes a year of Instant Ink as an added bonus.
Setting up the 8130e is quite easy. Once you unbox the unit you find a Quick Start Guide and Reference Guide. The Quick Start Guide has extremely basic setup instructions, plug in printer and either use the included smart label from your mobile device or go online to the HP website. I chose the latter to setup my 8130e. Once you go to the website it guides you through the process of configuring your printer and completing the firmware update. Select your language, load paper, install cartridges and align the print heads. These are all basic printer settings, however at this point I was given a choice to continue with the basic setup where you use your own cartridges, use the settings and features included with the printer and HP Smart app on your device. The other choice is the free HP+ plan. This is required for you to use the included one year of Instant Ink. I chose to use the HP+ plan, which is free and moved forward with the setup.
Using the printer is extremely easy and the 8139e prints documents quickly. The documents were truly clear with sharp letters and no signs of smudging. Regardless if you are printing single or double sided prints the speed and quality are excellent. Picture prints are clear, but they don’t always capture the colors as accurately as possible.
Using the HP+ ensures that the printer is working up to it’s best and requires the use of genuine HP Pinter cartridges. HP+ also provides security to ensure that outside intruders do not connect.
Regardless of your small business or home office needs, the HP 8139e is up to the task! This is another winner from HP!

Retro looks with great sound quality.

Wow does this thing deliver the goods! The JBL Authentic 300 is a portable Bluetooth speaker that provides you with many listening options, great sound and portability.
The JBL Authentic 300 is a midsize and solid Bluetooth speaker with a retro look. On the bottom of the unit is a subwoofer that provides plenty of bass and doesn’t sound boomy in the least. The top of the speaker consists of three control nobs, volume, treble and bass and three buttons, a Bluetooth button, power button and favorite button. Around back there is a switch to enable google or Alexa for music streaming and a plug to attach the power cord, an AUX mini jack input, a USB-C input and an ethernet input. The nice thing is you can connect the unit with the power cord or use it with the 8-hour battery.
Set up
Set up is very straight forward using the JBL One app to connect the Wi-Fi and enable the smart providers, Google or Alexa. Through the One app you can stream music from your Smart Phone, Google or Alexa. The 300 also provides the ability to connect external sources through the AUX input or the USB-C input.
To use the Smart apps, Google and Alexa the 300 must be powered on so the built-in microphone can hear your requests.

The Sound and Use
The JBL Authentic 300 provides room filling sound that is very pleasing and doesn’t sound strained or fatiguing to listen to. I started by streaming from iPhone to the 300 and the sound was very satisfying. By using the JBL One app you can tailor the sound using the included band equalizer. Whether listening to rock, jazz or pop music the quality of sound from the JBL Authentic 300 is outstanding. It doesn’t matter what source you listen to; the sound is excellent.
It seems like the battery goes on forever. It is rated at 8 hours of use and I have been using it a couple of hours per day and it keeps going strong.

The bad
There really aren’t any bad things overall, but a weakness. The three nobs for the volume and tone control are simulated nobs that when turned to the right increase and when turned to the left it decreases the control of the tone or volume. It is more of a touch control than a traditional nob. The other thing that stands out to me is the overall heft or weight of the 300, this is not something that would be a big negative.
Final thoughts
This is a great speaker for sure and provides excellent sound from a solid device. I recommend it to anyone looking for a great portable Bluetooth speaker that provides room filling sound.

Quality at a fair price point

Quality and affordability is what sets the Torras – Ark Series Case for the iPad 10.9”, from the competition. The Torras iPad case is made up of a two-piece book style case. The first half of the case is made up of soft leather that wraps around the stiff cover and has three folding points for the stand. The second half is a form fitted case, with the exterior also wrapped in leather. The iPad fits securely into the case that has rubber bumpers to protect your iPad from shocks when dropped or bumped. When closed, the case with the iPad takes up very little space. There are buttons that match up with the iPad’s buttons and an opening for the camera lens. Keep in mind that this is for the iPad 10.9” (10th Gen) and not the iPad Pro 11”, which does fit the case. However, one of the iPad 11 Pro’s camera lenses will be blocked.
The top portion of the case has a pen holder for the iPad pen which is a smart way to keep track of it. The cover portion of the case has a unique stand for using the iPad on a table / desk or on your lap. Depending on your use, the stand gives you six different stand points to provide you with the best angle for viewing whether on a desk or your lap. The quality of the case is well above the price point. The case is comfortable and pleasing in your hand.
One area that I felt could be improved would be a magnet to keep the cover closed when not in use.
This is a for sure winner at a budget price that looks more upscale. I would recommend this to anyone who is in need of a new iPad case.

Great iPhone case

The Insignia Hard Shell Case for the iPhone 15 pro comes in Teal and Maroon colors and feels more expensive than its price would lead you to believe. With so many iPhone cases available for the new iPhone 15 Pro what sets this one apart from the rest.
The case is made from molded plastic and what looks like aluminum buttons on the outside of the case that sits on molded buttons that control the iPhone. They look very stylish in the same teal color as the case. The buttons work remarkably well with no issues when using them. The fit in my hand is comfortable and with the softer outer feel.
The edges around the case and around the camera lens are raised to protect the phone and the camera from any unwarranted damage. The feel of the material that is used is a soft touch with an opaque back in the teal color. The raised portion around the camera lens is of the same aluminum material and looks upscale.
At the bottom of the case are three holes, one for the charging cable and two for the speakers. On the back is a ring shape, where the magnetic ring is for the Mag Safe charging.
All in all, this is a very solid feeling case that fits very snuggly on the iPhone 15 Pro, and I really recommend this case to anyone looking for an affordable and well-constructed case.

Clear Screen that protects!

I needed a screen protector for my new iPhone 15 Pro. There are so many choices out there that it can be confusing. For me the most important thing is a proven product that has demonstrated a history of protecting these devices. I have had ZAGG protectors on my other devices and they have worked great and that’s why I picked up the ZAGG Glass Elite for my iPhone 15 Pro.
In the case you will find three items. A template frame that is used to ensure the iPhone is centered correctly when installing Glass Elite. An “Attention Register Now”, envelope containing the products registration information, alcohol wipe and cloth. A second envelope with the instructions on the outside and the Glass Elite protector inside.
Installation is very easy! First clean your screen with the included alcohol wipe and cloth. Then set your iPhone 15 Pro face up in the frame, peel the first tab on the Glass Elite and align it on the frame and phone. Then press on the screen to adhere the Glass Elite to the phone and then peel the top tab to remove the protective film. It is a very easy process, and the screen protector virtually removes most of the bubbles while watching it adhere itself to the phone and you can gently smooth out any remaining bubbles.
The visibility of my phone’s screen is clean and clear with no additional loss of detail. I am very happy with the process and the outcome of ZAGG Glass Elite on my iPhone 15 Pro.

iPhone protection that looks good too

The ZAGG Snap on Milan Snap Case is perfect for those looking to protect their new iPhone 15 Pro. When I picked up my new iPhone 15 Pro my first concern was to find a case to protect it from inadvertent drops. That’s where the Milan Snap Case comes in. It is made of molded soft-shell material infused with Graphene for strength. The case is rated up to 13 feet for iPhone protection, though I didn’t try to find out if it was accurate. One of the biggest pluses is that it will allow wireless charging while the phone is still in the case. I always find it to be a pain to have to take my phone out of the case to charge.
The fit is snug, and the cases flexibility add to easily putting it on. The case is a slim design, so it doesn’t take up too much space. On the back side of the case where the camera lens lines up with the phone, the case is raised to protect them. On the left side of the case are three raised buttons to mimic the iPhones buttons and one on the right side. Using the buttons works perfectly without any delay or missed commands. The case itself is iridescent in color and changes as the light hits it.
One area that was surprising for me was how much weight the case added to my iPhone. It isn’t a huge issue but one to consider.
The Milan Snap is a winner for sure and I would recommend it to anyone who has recently purchased an iPhone 15 Pro.

One of the best out there!

I’m always looking for headphones that provide excellent noise cancellation when working with noisy tools or to just block out the world when needing to recharge. The Bose Quietcomfort Ultras are perfect for just that. There are so many features included in these headphones, but to me the most important quality beyond the sound, is the ability to filter out the noise. When I have these headphones on and use the noise cancelling feature, I am immersed in a sound that is absent of the outside world’s distractions.
But let’s talk about the features that enhance these headphones. The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was the hard-shell case that is made of a leather type of material with a zipper that encompasses nearly the entire perimeter of the case. There is a two-inch cloth material hinge that connects the top to the bottom of the case. Within the case are molded cut outs for the headphone’s cups. This is to ensure a secure fit when stored. Contained in the case is a 12” USB-A to USB-C charging cord and a stereo cable with mini jacks on each end for legacy devices.
The headphones themselves are a hard plastic for the ear cups and strap that connects the two headphones’ cups. The portion of the ear cups that contact your ears are a soft leather material and so is the strap that touches your head. There is a power / Bluetooth button, a button that controls the play or pause, skip forward or backward functions depending on how many times the button is pressed. There is a slide/touch button to control the volume and the sound modes. The slide-touch button can be configured for different functions based on your needs. For phone calls there is an included microphone on the Bose which does a great job of filtering out background noise while using the phone.
Once you open the packaging for the headphones you are directed to use the smart label to go to the Bose life site to setup your account, download the app for your smartphone to complete the setup process. Within the application you can customize your sound with the different sound modes and a 3 band EQ. Once I completed the setup I was up and running.
The sound quality was very good right out of the box and seemed to improve the more I used the headphones. The bass was deep and smooth with clear midrange and crisp highs. Regardless of the type of music I was listening to, the sound was rich and full and brought me into the sound stage. I was able to hear sounds that I hadn’t heard before in the music.
The included sound modes consist of the Quiet, Aware, Immersion. Quiet mode removes the outside world so you can hear nothing but the content you are listening to. Aware provides quality sound while letting you stay conscious of your surroundings. Immersion provides realistic sound orientation as you move your head and surrounds you with sound from all directions. It is truly immersive and brings you into the content that you are listening to.
Battery life is said to be twenty-four hours and I have been using these headphones for well over a week without charging and they seem to go for ever.
Overall, these are one of the best headphones that I have ever had. Between the sound quality, noise cancellation, comfort, and the build quality, you would be hard pressed to find a sound for the value.

The best whole house coverage at a bit of a cost

Wow! The Orbi WiFi-7, (Model Orbi 970) is about the best MESH system you can pick up on the market at this time. With homes relying on more connected devices, it has become more important than ever to have a strong, reliable Wi-Fi network to handle all the traffic. The Orbi WiFi-7 network meets these challenges. Included in the package was one router and two satellite units. The router has four 2.5 Gigabit ethernet ports, a ten Gigabit ethernet port and a ten Gig Internet port. The two satellite units have two 2.5 Gigabit ethernet ports and one 10 Gigabit ethernet port. This allows you to hard wire your non-Wi-Fi devices as well. You can create up to three networks, guest, smart devices and a main network for your connected PCs, phone and other peripherals.
Below are my observations of the WiFi-7
Set up was extremely easy to do through the app on your phone or tablet. I first downloaded the Orbi application to my mobile phone and followed the prompts to set up the Router. It is a three-step process. First you need to scan the QR code to download the application and follow the prompts. Secondly, once setup, Orbi 7 runs the included NETGEAR Armor to ensure your system is secure. The last process is to use the Orbi application to configure and maintain your system.
One of the great things when setting up the WiFi-7 is that it works with any internet service, which makes setting up much easier.
The application allows you to Customize your networks name and passwords for the main Wi-Fi network, a dedicated Wi-Fi network for your smart devices to reduce conflicts or slowing down speeds and to create a guest Wi-Fi network as well. The system allows up to 200 devices to be connected at one time with great coverage for the whole house.

The only thing that you will notice and may be perceived as a negative is the size of the three units. They measure 12” x 6” x 5.5” and will need a bit of room to sit. That is the only downside I see on the WiFi-7. The price is the other concern. This is a premium system and you will pay more for that.

Very good Griller - Fryer though big

The display is blank until you plug it in. Once plugged in, the power button illuminates until it is pressed. When you turn on the power, the menu symbol flashes. The menu button is the starting place for all your grill and frying needs. Upon pressing the menu symbol, the food options illuminate letting you choose what type of food, temperature, and time duration you want.
The internal light within the drawer comes on for the first minute you are cooking and then goes out. You can manually turn on the light whenever you want to check on the food.

The grilling and frying results were very good. Whether grilling vegetables or frying your favorite foods, the effects are very good. The large basket allows you to cook large amounts to suit your needs.

The Bella 5 in 1 gets hot when using it. The instructions have a warning for users to have something between the unit and the counter to protect it from the heat or it could permanently damage the counter. Heat exhaust from the rear of the unit as well may damage the back splash too.

There are symbols on the touch screen that display different food options, shrimp, Chicken, pizza, fish, bread, steak, fries and dehydrated. Though there are symbols for the cooking types, they are not part of the touch screen. Currently to select the cooking option you want; you must cycle through all the options to get to your desired cooking type. If you miss the one you want, you need to cycle through it all over again. One area that would be of great use would be up/down and left/right arrows to aid in navigation to the different cooking options.

There are up and down arrows that allow you to set time and temperature, but not the cooking function. These arrows are limited to these two functions only.
There are audible beeping sounds for when you press the keys, to remind you to turn the food and when food is done cooking. This is a very convenient feature.
When using the unit, the sound level is fairly quiet and non-intrusive, which is a benefit of the 5 in 1.

Overall, the Bella 5 in 1 is great at what it does, cooking good food, however the size may turn some people off if they don’t have the counter or storage space for it.

How many RAM slots are in this and how many are occupied when it is shipped? Just in case I wanted to purchase more, I would need to know if I need to get one or two modules.

You can have two head phone sets. If you use an RCA "Y" connector or if you TV has an optical out put and a analog (RCA) output, you could put one set on the optical and the second one on the RCA.

how long has this been on the market I cant find any reviews any where I bought it because it sounds good on the inside and the last HP Pavillion I bought in 2011 is still running mostly good but I am preparing for needing a new 1

This computer does not have fire wire. Are there any slots available to where I can add a fire wire card? My older video cam uses fire wire, and my analog to digital converter also uses fire wire.
There are four expansion slots to add cards. That should help you.

Will this play work with an LG 65EG9600?
I know the 65EG6500 does not support HDR, but will it still send native 4k to the TV?
From my understanding so long as your TV is HDMI 2.0 and HDCH 2.2 and 4k it should display a 4k picture
