good setlist; not great, but good

Nothing too shocking about this game. But, when you buy a GH game, you're not buying it to be shocked. You're buying it to have a wider selection of songs to 'rock out' with. So, the creators of the first Guitar Hero games took a small song list selection from each game, added full band capability, and packaged them neatly onto a single Wii game disc. I'm happy with aobut 80% of the songs that they selected.
I fully understand that I have no control over what songs are selected for each music game. With that in mind, most of the songs are very good, but I would have selected a few different ones and substituted them for some of the songs on here.
So, overall, I would recommend this game. If nothing else applies, at least this game offers FREE BIRD as a track. And, who doesn't want to be a Guitar Hero while playing that.
What's great about it: offers a variety of songs to jam out to with the full band
What's not so great: I would have passed on some of the songs selected
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was hoping to like this movie a lot, but I was disappointed. Other than the scenery change, new actors, and new gory effects, this movie was almost identical to the other horror films of past. Movie summary: kids go into woods to do unwise things, kids encounter psycho, psycho unleashes his fury, and all the kids........... Well, I won't ruin the movie, but you get the idea. This is not a movie that I would own. However, I am glad that I saw this movie because I'm a fan of the Friday the 13th series.

awesome rock album

This album is very very good. I actually bought this album more for the tracks Duality, Vermillion, Pulse of the Maggots, and Before I Forget. But, after listening to all of the tracks, my favorite is probably track 1, which is Prelude 3.0. Any Slipknot fan should already own this. If they don't, then they should buy it immediately. Any music fan wanting to give Slipknot a try should begin with this album first. Great CD!
What's great about it: lots of good riffs and vocals, tons of varying sounds

28 Days Later + Blair Witch Project = QUARANTINE

Well, I actually liked this movie a lot. Yeah, its another typical 'infection' movie. Where the people, get infected, become zombies (kinda), try to attack non-zombies, and the non-zombies have to fight off the infected individuals. But hey, if you dig apocalypse type movies, like I do, then I highly recommend this movie.
As for the movie itself, I thought the acting was well done without being too over-dramatic. The plot was thorough, and all the parts of the movie flowed together well.
My only possible downside to this movie is the camera work. I thought the idea of the camera looking like it was done by a handheld and being actual live footage added a nice touch to the story. However, if you easily get motion-sickness, you may want to stray from this movie.
What's great about it: another zombie-ish movie
What's not so great: n/a

Great, great movie with an awesome cast. Without a doubt, Christian Bale is a very good Batman, yet, Heath Ledger gives a run for his money as the 'show-stealer'. I was skeptical of Ledger's ability to play a villain before I watched the movie. But I have to say, I was very impressed. He plays a twisted villain as well as any. Don't expect the humorous type of villain that Jack Nicholson presented as the previous Joker, but rather enjoy the chaos that this villain brings to the table.
What's great about it: everything
What's not so great: Ledger's last role

Five minutes into the movie I was already disappointed. I'm a huge Will Ferrell fan, and I really enjoyed him and John C. Reilly in Talladega Nights. Yet, 95% of the intended humor was boring and unwitty. Granted, a few parts were pretty funny, such as the bunk bed scene. But for the most part, it was extremely unimpressive. In no way, would I recommend this movie for purchase.
What's great about it: it ended

not Trent's finest, but................

Even though I think this album is pretty good, I'm not sure a first time NIN listener would appreciate this album's music. Yet, anyone exposed to NIN's music should buy this album. The tracks are all pretty good, especially the track "Discipline". As for Trent's talents as a musician, I believe that they're demonstrated very well on this album. But, you may need to be experienced by all of his other albums to truly appreciate this album. So, if you're already a NIN fan, then you should buy this album. If you're new to NIN, buy some of the older albums and this one.
What's great about it: another NIN album

Ron Shelton's golfing romantic comedy Tin Cup comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that faithfully reproduces the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1. The greens look really green. A closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1, while a French soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Surround. English, Spanish, and French subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include production notes. Golf aficionados and fans of Shelton's literate, comical looks at sports and the grown-up boys who play them will enjoy this disc.

Another one of Costner's quality sports films. Tin Cup is a good blend of comedy, sports, romance, and drama. It shows the struggles that any golfer encounters at some point. And, this movie had a great cast, that each actor/actress played their roles perfectly.

The special edition of The Usual Suspects has much going for it, on both sides of the disc. Naturally there is a commentary track with director Bryan Singer and Oscar-winning writer Christopher McQuarrie. Naturally, it is very interesting and detail heavy. There is also another commentary track featuring composer John Ottman, who offers insights the other two do not. With such a dialogue-intensive script as this, the soundtrack has to be up to snuff, and the Dolby Digital 5.1 surround here has been designed to highlight the words without muting the ambient noise. This DVD makes the best case yet in the argument for widescreen vs. pan-and-scan because it gives you the option. Choose the 2.35:1 anamorphic letterboxed version and you'll see a digitized movie the way it was supposed to be seen, in sharp colors and remarkable clarity; choose the TV-style full-frame version and you'll see scenes where the person talking isn't on the screen, and the visual image is slightly dreary. New supplements include "Pursuing the Suspects," a documentary about the casting choices, and "Doin' Time With The Usual Suspects," which collects interviews with the cast members as they talk about the movie and their lives after. "Heisting Cannes with The Usual Suspects" goes to France with the cast and feels like an elaborate home movie. "Keyser Soze: Lie or Legend" continues the parlor game of Who Was Soze? that fans of the movie love to play. Speaking of games, an easter egg is solved if you can piece together the order the clues to Soze's identity appear in the film, with your reward being even more documentary material, one having to do with the film's composer. Less interesting is an elaborate, indulgent gag reel of outtakes introduced by Singer that is nearly a short movie in itself. It's not very interesting, but the rest of the disc is fascinating.

great twist

Good movie. It has great directing and a great cast. Most of all, it has a great twist for an ending. However, I would recommend this movie for viewing but not necessarily for purchasing. Mainly because, this movie is a one time movie. As in, once I saw this movie, I had no desire to watch it again.

The special R-rated version of Dennis Dugan's silly sex comedy Saving Silverman comes to DVD with this release. Loaded with bonus features, the disc should be a delight for fans of the film. The extras include audio commentary by Dugan, and outtakes reel, web links, theatrical trailers, filmographies, production notes, and scene selections. As if that weren't enough, the film is presented in an impressive widescreen 1.85:1 anamorphic transfer along with the standard 1.33:1 pan-and-scan. Add to that English language soundtracks in Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital Stereo, and the disc is a delight for viewers. English and French subtitles are also available.

A great comedy trio indeed. Biggs, Black, and Zahn are a perfect trio, who each plays their respective role perfectly. Jack Black and Steve Zahn are a perfect duo that could support this movie enough with or without Jason Biggs, but he contributes enough. To be fair, I went to the movies to see this one, and I actually wanted to leave half way through the movie. Yet, I watched it again, and nearly busted a gut from all of the laughter. Great film that you should own.

how many tv inputs does the tv need to have to be able to play the wii

You only need one input. Yet, the one input should be the yellow/red/white input. Sometimes, you'll only have a yellow and a white input. The yellow is the video, and the white & red are the audio. If you don't have these, you'll have to get your hands on a coax converter, which hooks you into the 'threaded' device on the back of the tv, cable box, etc.

Hope this helps.....

Set up?

Is the Wii difficult to set up? Im not very tech talented.
Not at all. Its very simple and basic. Your 2 biggest questions will be if you want the Wii to be on its side or up. Then, where will you want the sensor bar. For me, I have the Wii in its stand, which is included in the box. And, I have the sensor bar at the bottom of my TV. Then, just plug in the power cable. And, finally hook up your red/white/yellow jacks to your TV. Congrats! Your now gaming like never before. Other than what I've mentioned, everything else is explained in the booklets that come with your Wii.
Hope this helps.

what is best deal for family of 7

Want to buy Wii console for Christmas, want to know what is best deal for our family of 7 ages 2-47. How many extra controller should I get (up to 4) ? Recommended games for beginners?
My advice, or what I did was as follows: buy Wii console, which comes with 1 controller and 1 nunchuk; buy Wii Play, which comes with a game and a controller (so the game is basically $10); buy an extra nunchuk; and, two extra controllers are luxuries, not necessarily must-haves, but you'll probably want them eventually (so that's ultimately up to you)

As for games for beginners, I would recommend WarioWare Smooth Moves. Which, its kinda goofy but still very fun, especially for the younger bunch. A newer game that TONS of people seem to like is Wii Sports Resort. It comes with a Wii MotionPlus accessory, which makes the Wii Remote more sensitive and accurate. If you get that game, I advise that you pick up another Wii MotionPlus accessory, which is $20. And, another favorite is Mario Kart Wii. A great racing game, and its definitely one of my favorites.

Hope this helps.

wii fit vs. wii fit plus

is there a difference betwee the wii fit and wii fit plus?
Wii Fit Plus offers the same package as Wii Fit (the original). Wii Fit Plus has the same workouts as Wii Fit, but with a few extra workouts. Your best bet would be to get Wii Fit Plus.

Other games compatible with Beatles R.B instruments

I just bought Beatles Rock Band Value Pack for my kids for christmas and I was wondering if the instruments and microphone is compatible with any Hero games? When I bought the bundle for Wii I was told they would work but now I have heard differently... really irritating. Stupid to have more than one set of instruments lying around.
I'm pretty sure that the Rock Band Beatles equip does not work with Guitar Hero games. However, the Guitar Hero equip works with Rock Band Beatles and Rock Band 2. But, not Rock Band (the original). My advice, would be to take back the Value Pack (if it isn't open), buy the Guitar Hero World Tour set for $99 (a lot of retailers have it for this amount, but not sure about Best Buy), buy the Rock Band Beatles software, and enjoy the tunes. All said and done, you should come out around the same price with an extra game. Rock Band's web page has a compatibility chart if you wanna check for sure. Hope this helps.
