Great Receiver with Great Sound

The Sony STRDH590 offers excellent sound, easy setup, and great flexibility.
Out of the box, setup was a cinch: Plug in your speakers, plug in your devices, and power the unit on. Then run through the system's initial setup which uses a calibration microphone to analyze your room. And that's really it...go and enjoy a movie.
Initial sound settings were pretty good. And with multiple codecs and sound profiles available for each input, you can tailor the sound to your individual tastes and make it great.
The HDMI (x4), Bluetooth, Optical Audio, and powered USB offer plenty of connectivity for all of your game systems and streaming media players. And the HDMI pass-through works in standby: Good news for the wife, who just wants to turn the TV on and go.
My only issue: Settings are strewn across multiple entry points: 'Home', 'Options', 'Amp Menu'. Some appear on the TV, some on the front display of the unit. So finding the particular setting your after can be tricky.
That said, the STRDH590 has greatly simplified my setup and sounds great. Very happy with the unit.

Excellent Chromebook

The Pixelbook is Google's further push into the hardware space. Like the Pixel phones, it is intended to compete with other high-end devices. And in many ways, the Pixelbook succeeds.
The razer-thin metal body makes an amazing first impression. The touch-screen is bright, beautiful and very responsive. The convertible 360° hinge feels solid and operates smoothly. The keyboard is sized well and the different function-like keys are intuitive and very useful.
On the downsides, the speakers, hidden beneath the keyboard, are a little weak. And if you do invest in the Google Pen (which is a bit expensive for what it is) there is no place on the laptop to stow it.
Chrome OS, in some ways, feels like a Android on a laptop. And that's not necessarily a bad thing. Quick start up, easy setup, frequent updates, fast, stable, and access to the Play Store parallel its smaller Pixel phone cousin. And with access to many (though apparently not all) of its productivity and entertainment apps, if you're already vested in the Google ecosystem, you will quickly feel at home on the Pixelbook.
There are some quirks: Unless you have a newer printer with Google's cloud print, setting up printing can be a touch challenging. And there currently seems to be a bug where the on-board sound stops working periodically and requires a reboot. This will surely be fixed via an update soon.
All of that said, do understand: The Pixelbook and Chrome OS are heavily reliant on having a internet connection. Where you can take a traditional laptop some place without internet access and work with local files or programs, using the Pixelbook without an internet connection requires planning ahead. You would need to pin/download your files to the device and work with an installed app (e.g. Google Sheets, Google Docs, etc) rather than a cloud/brower-based app. This difference isn't inherently bad, just requires proper expectations.

The Hoover FUSION Pet Vacuum is a great little vacuum that offers a lot of versatility is a small package.
Light in the hand, the main handheld unit offers plenty of suction and is easy to operate. The slew of included attachments make quick work of everything from hardwood floors to couch crevices. And the battery charging cradle brings the battery back up to full is short order.
That said, it can't completely replace your full size vacuum. The powered brush head is narrow and the bag-less canister is smaller. But, for quick jobs, or times where portability is a must, the Hoover FUSION Pet is the tool you'll want to reach for.

Good shave

Series 5000 shaver by Philips Norelco provides a close, comfortable shave but not without its issues.
The shaver is comfortable in the hand, offers quiet operation, and holds a good charge. The articulated head glides smoothly over your skin and keeps good contact over the varies curves of your face while the large surface area helps to make quick work of your shave. The shave is close and smooth and never irritated my skin once. And the base, while a bit large, does a phenomenal job of cleaning the head.
That said, there are some issues. The power button on the shaver is very easy to hit during normal operation. The default speed of the shaver seems slow; I always run it on Turbo. I have not had to replace the cleaner cartridge for the base yet, but am not really keen on a blowing through another inkjet-like disposable. And the biggest concern: The shaver cannot be used while plugged in; if the charge goes down you must wait for it to charge.

Good cameras with mediocre service

The D-Link DCS-8000LH cameras are unobtrusive and seemingly well built. Performance is nice as well, with good field of view and good video quality in full and low light.
Setup should be easy enough using the QR code on each camera and your phones Bluetooth. One note on this, though: I could not complete the setup with my Google Pixel and had to use a family member's Galaxy S7. This may have been the fault of the Pixel as they are notorious for their BT issues, but felt it was important to mention.
Beyond the cameras themselves, you must also install a D-Link app and create a account with them. This is where my biggest gripes are. While the app is simple enough to understand and use to view the cameras, and the latency is low, even across and internet connection, there is no ability to create triggers or schedules, so if you want to use notifications for the cameras, you will get pinged constantly while you are in view of the cameras.

Fantastic High-End Headphones

These high-end B&O headphones impress from the moment you unbox them and never let up.
Starting out, the B&O H9 headphones are highly attractive, solidly built, and exceedingly comfortable. I've tried other high-end headphones, all of which eventually hurt the top of my head after wearing for a while. These never because uncomfortable to me.
Overall performance is equally impressive. Long battery life, fantastic sound, and noise cancellation all make these a great choice for any situation.
The touch gestures are the only point that are a bit of blessing and curse. There is great functionality built into various swipes to the right-hand can: Volume up and down, next or last, play and stop. The only down side is, its very easy to trigger some of the gestures just putting on or taking off the headset.

Good product with a couple of caveats

The Bose Build speaker cube is a good product with a couple of limitations.
First the good: The product contains well made components, is easy to assemble, and sounds OK when complete. My 11 year old thoroughly enjoyed putting it together is uses it frequently.
Now the limitations:
- While the assembled speaker will work with Android phones, the actual assembly instructions and extra projects require an iOS device. In a world where Android runs on 64% of all smartphones, this is a colossal oversight.
- Assembly, even without the iOS instructional app, is pretty rudimentary and is over quickly.
- There is no battery for portability.

These headphones are absolutely astounding.
Build materials and quality are all high-end and include a leather wrapped headband, stainless steel hinges and slides, and lambskin wrapped memory-foam ear pads which are magnetically attached and easily replaceable. The controls are all clearly marked and have a solid, positive feel.
Overall functionality and performance are all fantastic as well. Bluetooth pairing is easy to operate and range is very good. Battery charging uses a standard micro-USB and battery life will get you through more than a day's work. And if you do run the battery down, you can use the included aux cord to physically connect to your device and continue to listen to your media. And the sound quality will satisfy even the most ardent audiophile; highs are crisp, vocals clear, and the bass rich and deep.
There is no aspect of these headphones that will disappoint.

Solid speaker, OK sound

The Lifeproof AQ10 is a solidly built speaker with an attractive appearance but just OK sound.
Construction is impressive. The outer body and speaker grills appears to be metal. All of the hatches close tightly and the buttons are sealed with a rubber membrane for water proofing. And the weight is just enough to keep it from feeling chintzy without making it a burden to carry around.
The water proof hatch on the bottom is nice. It includes an additional USB charging port and aux in if you wanted to keep a phone in it. The only downside is that, on the AQ10, this compartment is small and will only fit older, smaller phones.
On the usability and performance side: Paring with devices is standard easy BT. Battery life is strong. Controls are easy to understand. But the sound output is just OK: There is plenty of volume and its very crisp and clear, but it comes off a little short on bass.
One other note: charging the speaker cannot be done with USB. You must use the included DC cylindrical-style ac adapter. It's not inherently bad, just feels limiting when most other speakers can charge with any micro-USB charger.

Nice addition that works well

The charging cradle for the Bose Soundlink Revolve is a nice addition to an already great product. Makes charging your speaker as easy as setting it down on the base. And the speaker works while charging, to boot.
My only issue is that it doesn't include an AC adapter of its own, so you have to use the adapter that came with the speaker.

Texture or feel of the keys? Are they hard plastic or do they have a somewhat spongy or soft rubbery feel to them? I type on my fingernail tips is why I ask.

Yes, the combo is compatible with an HP laptop; both with the included dongle as well as using Bluetooth.
I am currently using it simultaneously with an Elitebook (dongle) and an Envy X360 (Bluetooth) and all is working well.
