Excellent Router

When this router says its easy to setup up, its not kidding. Even down stream of an ISP-provided router, this device can be setup easily following just the included quick setup instructions in just a few minutes.
If you're more technical minded and need to fiddle with the configuration, the web-admin is easy to access, navigate and modify.
Signal strength is huge advantage with this device. Using a wifi analyzer app from across the entire house, the Linksys showed signal strength comparable to the router that was in the next room. And it blew away the ISP-provided device.
As for speed improvements, your mileage will vary. The more devices you're using concurrently, the more the MU-MIMO technology comes into play and the more you'll notice the improvement.

Good but not without issues

These are great backup drives for the money. Easy to setup and the software just does what its supposed to in the background so you can get back to work and not worry about it.
I've deployed a bunch of these in a corporate environment over the last couple of months and there are a couple of issues, though.
First off, setting up the software causes the computer (Windows 7 Pro, at least) to lose all of its network share mappings. They can be remapped, but the issue is very annoying and occurs every time.
Also, there is an incompatibility with the BIOS on HP laptops causing a failure to boot when the drive is connected. This can be overcome by adjusting the USB settings in the BIOS, but it didn't used to be an issue at all before the current generation of drive.

Texture or feel of the keys? Are they hard plastic or do they have a somewhat spongy or soft rubbery feel to them? I type on my fingernail tips is why I ask.

Yes, the combo is compatible with an HP laptop; both with the included dongle as well as using Bluetooth.
I am currently using it simultaneously with an Elitebook (dongle) and an Envy X360 (Bluetooth) and all is working well.
