Best trail cam I've used, and I've used a few
on June 2, 2021
Posted by: stevefromtheburbs
from PHILLY SUBURBS
I have to tell you that I've been a fan of these, not for hunting, but for security purposes. It started when someone stole the wheels and tires off of my new Subaru Crosstrek when they first came out; my wife wanted this car because of the wheels, seems someone else did too. Found it up on cinder blocks. Since I live in a condo controlled townhouse, I had to find something quick and not permanent that I could use to record activity that was happening in front of my house, back of my house, etc. So I started looking at these trail cams. Since then, I've played around with quite a few of them. I like this one the best.
Rexing makes the dashcams I've used in my cars (still do). And this is basically a dashcam in a box. But it isn't that simple. There are things about this that make it a great trail cam. One of the best is the ability to record still frame images AND video at the same time! That is huge. And I am recording at 1080p and that video is very impressive. Don't believe me? Check out the screen shots in the image review section. Very impressive!
It was well thought out with the IR light, side motion detectors, a place to put on a padlock, and also a pin code to lock down the unit. The mounting hardware that comes with it is very well thought out too. I am very impressed, and for the money spent, you will be too. They put a lot of value into this unit.
As luck would have it, the pesky fox that has been hanging around showed up on the first night I had this out front. He is eating berries that are falling off the tree. And who knows what else. So, this captured him from like 2" in front of the unit. Impressive. The bird too. But the bird pic is taken in the morning when there was heavy rain and overcast skies. You can see it is a bit dark. But to be expected. You do get good detail none-the-less.
The built in playback screen seals the deal for me. For ones that don't have that, forget it. You can't see anything and have to keep taking the card in/out to see how it is positioned and if in the right spot. Also, the slide switch to activate the unit, put it into playback/programming, and off, that is a valuable feature. Very valuable.
If you don't know what to get, I will tell you from my personal experience, this is a decent unit. And it plays back on MAC or Windows computer.

Nice little CCTV system, some privacy issues
on May 30, 2021
Posted by: stevefromtheburbs
from PHILLY SUBURBS
I'll tell you that this is a nice little system, anyone can install this, even someone who has never done this kind of thing before.
Everything you need is packaged in the box. It comes with instruction guides, numbered and well explained for each step of the way. The hard part is that everything must be wired, and getting wires around is more of a craftsman thing vs. an intelligence thing. If you have the tools and knowledge on how to do, it'll be easy peasy. If you don't, you can still do it, but need to be patient and do your research.
The system is a small high resolution analog CCTV security system. It is not the newer and more advanced "IP" system, which is an "internet protocol" system. This means the resolution, while good, is capped. And if you decide you want to do more, the wiring in place is not going to do it as this is using coax and BNC connectors vs. ethernet cable and modular connectors. So, if you want something inexpensive and want to get the job done without regard for future upgrades or replacements, this is good to go. It'll give you decent images, at a decent price, everything is included, and it even has room for additional cameras. The recorder is limited in recording space and can be expanded in different ways, most commonly with USB storage. The included wiring is not long enough to get you from one end of a large house to the other, so if that is an issue, you might need to figure out a plan "B" such as purchasing longer cables now, or if you know how to do wiring, to buy more wire, connectors, etc. and assemble. As It is, this is something that would be for a smaller home whereas each wire run does not exceed 60' each. It is a bit gimmicky with the little police lights, but some would consider this as something to startle intruders.
The images from the cameras are really decent. For an inexpensive system, I was impressed. Most small business or homeowners will appreciate that this has to offer, for the money.
My first frustration is that you cannot simply plug in and go, without an internet connection. The startup sequence of the recorder requires you to establish a password, and then submit your email address to get started, which means you must connect it to the internet to do, and therefore revealing your IP address and associated email address, and password. I'm disappointed I could not get past this screen without an internet connection. This is yet another way companies are getting your location and associating you with that, plus keeping a record of your password. If they get hacked, and seems everyone gets hacked at some point, your information is in jeopardy.
The second frustration is that the app wants to use your location. Why? Do they really need to know where you are to use your camera system? They aren't going to respond to your home with armed guards if there is an intrusion/trespasser, so why do they want to gain this info as well. Again, data mining. And data mining is much more of an issue than anyone wants to admit. There have been many issues of spying on folks via CCTV systems whether it be from hackers or foreign nations, that helping them along with providing sensitive information is not something I am happy about. Don't think it is a concern? Look up information about the John McCain National Defense Authorization Act and why it came to be.
All of this said, if you want an inexpensive camera system that provides a high definition analog camera system, this might be for you. A mom and pop store, a smaller home/condo, etc. than this kit is right for you. If you want to put in a larger location, you'll need longer cables. But all in all, it fits the bill for those who just want something easy, simple, and inexpensive to provide images and recordings for security purposes. And for many, this is why you would be considering this vs. a more advanced and professionally installed system.

REALLY NICE, YOU'LL BE SURPRISED! SMALL BUT BIG
on May 27, 2021
Posted by: stevefromtheburbs
from PHILLY SUBURBS
When this arrived, I was a bit surprised because it is bigger than I thought. In the picture it, and thinking it only covers 100 sq. feet, I was thinking it was like one of those ionizers you plug into the wall and is the size of a lightbulb. But it is much bigger than that, and performs much better than I ever thought a smaller unit could.
(You'll have to remove the plastic wrap from around the filters, or else it'll choke and overheat trying to move air through plastic, which is impossible....also, removing the cover is a bit stiff the first one or two times, then it gets easier....you'll see what I mean)
I have many HEPA air purifiers around my house, I was a World Trade Center first responder and have respiratory issues from that. Plus I have two long haired dogs to add to the mix. They bring hair, dust, dander, and dog smell.
So many units cost a small fortune to replace filters, some the filters are as expensive as the unit. I looked it up and these are not that way. I can buy plenty of filters to replace as needed without draining the bank. But, it also seems to perform very well. How do I know? Read on....
I use two different air monitoring units/systems to see how "clean" the air is. I noticed the numbers improve when this was used in a certain room. In this case, I used my kitchen as a test area. Tonight I made hamburgers, which of course fried in the air fryer, releases lots of indoor pollution. You can smell it and it can last awhile. With this in place, on high, the smell was mostly gone in an hour. Without it, you'd still be smelling the fried burger smell in the kitchen, the next day. The air quality monitors confirmed this as well.
So, in summary, I'd buy more of these and less of the larger units that have outrageously priced filters. Putting these in a 10x10 room is very doable and for the price of the unit, and the filters, I feel is a better way to go.
The unit has a timer system that can be used to shut off after different hour intervals, it has an adjustable blue accent light (not a UV light), and 3 fan speeds. Nothing more would be needed on a unit like this. Basic, but cool with the blue light, or not if it is annoying you can extinguish the light.
Time will tell how well the unit holds up and how long the filters last, but I'll say I was impressed with the motor inside that powers the fan blade. And the unit is heavy for its size, no lightweight. That to me means it has a heavy motor, which hopefully means it'll last awhile.
I'll be looking into what other products this company has to offer, because while they are inexpensive compared to many others, they really seem to have the pulse of what is needed and provide it at a reasonable price!
P.S. - this is designed as a desk top unit, and it works nicely in that way.

This is really awesome, also as a multi-use light!

from PHILLY SUBURBS
When I got this, I was excited thinking it was a great choice for light deprivation issues that I do have in the winter. But it is summer, so I'm not really having that now. However I will tell you that this helps with feeling better, even in the summer. I love the amount of light this puts out, plus it has three levels of light from super bright, to a moderate, and much dimmer level. Really smart, not just super bright in case your room or existing lighting dictates the need.
The instructions talk about how to use this, and how much time to use it in a given period, instructions that make sense and are well written.
But this can also be used as a task specific light, because the amount of light it puts out is so bright. And if I did my math right, it's about 18 watts of energy used. Totally worth it. As I get older, light is more important because it seems that with bad vision light really helps. While it isn't mentioned for this purpose, it works great for it!
Also, this is very important, it comes with a stand attachment, so you can use it as a desk stand. Then, the base articulates, and it stands up by itself. And you can adjust the head of the light to help get the direction you want. This is very adjustable.

Wish the replacement ink was more affordable
on May 19, 2021

I appreciate receiving a decent amount of ink in the box, unlike those who put in demo cartridges with enough ink for 10 pages or whatever. However, these do come in the form of ink cartridges and not tanks per se, so you still will be using cartridges. I'm not a fan after having used the tank system with bottles of ink for refills. So, I lost a star for this. This unit does have some version of a tank inside the printer, but isn't how you fill up the ink - you still buy cartridges and replace as you always have.
A set of OEM cartridges will set you back, I'm sure, $50.00-$65.00 list price, on a printer/copier/scanner that costs $99.99. That seems a bit like a hook to get you onboard as a customer, without regard for how to keep you as a customer. Sounds bad, but if you are going to pay $50 or more for ink, this will end up as a donation somewhere with no ink vs. just buying a new one and on sale for probably not much more, with a fresh supply of ink to go with the new device.
That out of the way, the unit functions flawlessly. Print speed is decent, copies look good, and the scan functions are excellent. The app provides an easy way to communicate with the printer, and the numerous communication options are impressive. Franky it is typical Brother quality, and my other Brother products are still here years later, working without a single problem.
My only issue is with the big price tag to get replacement ink. If that were resolved, I'd be pushing this to a 5 star review. Brother products are in my home and have been for years, I don't doubt their quality or longevity. And I think most printers will be similar in their price of ink and won't include as much in the box, so this makes that a better value. Plus you know that you won't have any issues with Brother products in general, so that isn't an issue.

Some good stuff, some not so good stuff, undecided
on May 19, 2021
Posted by: stevefromtheburbs
from PHILLY SUBURBS
I've been a bit slow to post this review, trying to ensure I have given this a full and complete chance before I shared my thoughts and findings.
When you open the box, and by the weight of the box, you can tell this is a super well built product. Not cheesy at all. It is kind of on the hefty side, and just exudes its quality build. So this is good. And it comes with everything you could want to ensure a quality quick install. Takes almost no time to figure out what to do....well documented, easy, self explanatory, etc. And the shape of this makes it very conducive to both flat and corner mounting. My mounting situation was not good, re-using the existing wiring for the other brand that sits next to this one in the picture. This one doesn't offer that option to re-use existing wiring, and frankly I'm glad because it allowed me to branch out with mounting locations and get a much better view!
I mounted mine using some of that mounting tape/velcro sort of stuff that you mount your EZ pass with, and it is the easiest way to do it in my situation. I don't care if someone takes it, they'll be on video doing it, so I'll worry about that later.
The app loaded quickly, the install was super easy, and honestly, it just was not hard to do. None of it. Easy as can be. Everything worked as the instructions said, each step was perfectly documented, and no surprises.
The beauty of this product is that your video clips are stored on an included micro-sd card that sits inside of the interior chime unit, which works as a gateway between the doorbell and the network (I think), but also sounds a chime when the doorbell is pressed, and houses your video. Super easy, super cool, and is possible to be monthly fee free to use. The interior chime is included, and while a bit large for an outlet (it'll take up more than one outlet in space if using a multi-tap style), it is included and is a decent value!
There is of course, a cloud based option to record there too, which I'm now using on a trial basis, which seems to speed up the review of video vs. waiting on the interior unit to load and play back clips. Same price as the competitive doorbell camera unit at $3.00/month.
So here is where I ran into some concern, and it is probably just working out some bugs in the firmware/software. As used in a doorbell situation, part of my interaction is saved as a video and some of it wasn't. It is like it doesn't know when it really ended being a conversation and just cut off or some times not recording it at all. I like having a video/audio clip of my doorbell interactions, because alot of times potential criminals or just unsavory salespeople will try the doorbell, and that interaction could be used to prosecute them later when they can be told that soliciting is forbidden and to leave, and they don't, or also to capture their voice and video, showing they had a presence in the area when the deny having ever been here. Of course, lately they have gotten smart to this and just knock instead.
So, the other concern I have, is that using this as a motion detection camera for recording activity, is that I've found there are some times it works, and sometimes it just doesn't. I don't know why. Seems a bit strange, I've tried all the different settings and options. But for example, with the grass cutters the other day, sometimes it recorded them and other times it did not. No idea why. My son and his girlfriend came home today and were not captured at all coming up the walkway to the front door, and in the front door, passing directly past this, with no recording of them at all. However, my daughter and I walking separately, are recorded without fail. No other activity had "just happened" so it wasn't like it wasn't recording because of fear of repeat activity - just never recorded it. Weird. I guess there are some bugs to work out and I think this could be a deal breaker for someone who wanted it mainly for this purpose. I'm sure it'll get worked out in time, but out of the box, this is a concern.
I work with electronic security for a living and have exposure to all kinds of devices, systems, etc. These anomalies concern me a bit, not sure why they are doing this, and maybe this should be a 3 star because of it, but I already have surveillance cameras in place so this is just really more of a doorbell camera. And I feel like it is more of a firmware and/or software glitch than an equipment issue, so I'll remain hopeful a patch will be released to resolve it.
As for the hardware, you are expected to remove the unit by using a small pin type device to lift it off of it's mounted installation plate, then bring it in and charge it, then place it back into service once charged. No issue with this, even if in my case I need to do each month or so, that isn't a big deal. My security cameras (not this brand) require this to be done every week or so, so I'm used to it.
The hardware is really cool and some features I really enjoy are new twists. Like the LED ring light that glows when it senses motion. It is bright enough to notice, but comes on only when someone is near. Smart! And the camera quality is outstanding - I mean really outstanding. And the IR part isn't even needed if you have a nice porch light. The images are still decent in low ambient light vs. using the built in IR light. The microphone and speaker are very decent and allow both parties to be heard by the other clearly.
The one piece of literature talks about a security chip, which is a hot button for me with the passage of the national defense authorization act that talks about products made with certain chipsets. I don't know if that is what this is eluding to, but hopefully it is. Honestly though, if some other entity wants to spy on my doorbell camera, go for it, I'm not as concerned as if it was being used inside of my house.
I like the disconnect from the competitive product that basically allows sharing with law enforcement, not for fear of law enforcement use, but since it is such a big network of cameras, because of hackers seeing this as something worth hacking. This is not as well known nor with the number of customers, so hoping it will be less likely to be hacked.
I struggled with the rating, but I think it fair to edge on the side of positivity because I really like the build quality, what the company is promoting, the ability to keep my recordings local and not be charged a monthly fee as everything these days seems to require to use the features of the unit. I also like the encryption level used in the recordings, hoping again to keep things a bit more secure. I'm sure the bugs will be worked out and fixes applied. That should move this up to a 5 star unit.

Best vacuum system overall, you'll want to keep it
on May 14, 2021
Posted by: stevefromtheburbs
from PHILLY SUBURBS
I've been the primary cleaner at my house, for 26 years of marriage, and for many years before that. And in all of those years, I've had many vacuums, both corded and cord free. I've had canister vacs, stick vacs, full size corded upright vacs. And in all of these years, until now, I could not say I met one that I'd want to keep because they all lacked something that I felt was important. Maybe it was a lack of place to store the accessories. Or maybe it was because the battery would run out too soon. Maybe it was because to charge it, I had to dedicate more of my kitchen counter to charging. Certainly none ever had spare batteries and if they did, they ended up also on my kitchen counter charging with all the other stuff that gets charged all the time. Well, that has all been solved.
This model from LG includes everything you'll need or want, I promise you this will not disappoint you. It comes with two batteries, yes. Both are long use batteries. The first battery will get you an hour of clean time. If you use turbo, it's like 7 minutes. But you won't use turbo mode very often. Mostly the lowest power is all you'll need for anything but thicker carpet. For thicker carpet pile, you'll go medium mode. I used turbo to clean the dust from my bathroom exhaust fan, my HEPA filters, and a few other things. But that is not often. No worries though, if you do that as I did, you have a 2nd fully charged battery waiting for you as that 2nd battery charges on the stand....seriously! And you'll find you can get through most of your vacuuming by using both batteries - some will never use the 2nd battery, but it is there if you need it. But while you are cleaning, if you've tapped into the 2nd battery, the first is again charging on the stand while you are using the vacuum.
This is a first, but this comes with a charging stand. Yes! A stand that is completely free standing. No need to mount to the wall or prop up the vac to charge. The stand has a heavy base that keeps it from toppling over. And to prevent it from being too tall and top heavy, they have built in a slide that allows the vacuum to be used by shorter folks, or taller folks, and to charge you simply slide it down to the shortest position. Smart!
So my adult daughter who is 5'1" and me at 6', can both use the same vacuum. Sounds silly but one of us was always frustrated with the height of the vac thing. It makes a difference because if it is something that is comfortable to use, you'll stay with it longer. This unit is heavy enough, but light enough at the same time.
The actual process of vacuuming will leave you in amazement of how much stuff it gets up, that you didn't know was being left behind. In particular, I found the dust coming up was more than I ever got out before and didn't know was present because no other vacuum was getting up this kind of dust. The one picture below will show you what I mean. It starts on the lowest power mode, one tap up and you'll get medium, and if you want turbo, hold the + sign for 3 seconds and you'll get turbo. The pics shown below are after having cleaned with another vacuum first, so what you see would have been missed, and we vacuum multiple times a day due to our long haired dogs. It isn't like we vacuum once a week or something. Our long haired German Shedder as she's been called, or our long haired chihuahua produce enough hair and dust/dander to keep anyone who cleans, frustrated at the never ending mess left behind. (God knows I'd be lost without them, they are a real blessing, but the cleaning part is very frustrating). This unit helps to reduce that frustration by removing more debris when I do clean.
Anyway, this model comes with a crevice and a dust/combo tool, an extra cloth filter, and the mop related accessories. Other packages come with other stuff, like no mop related stuff, but a powered mattress/couch/chair/stair tool. The mop part of this is not as helpful in my case, because it only uses water and cloth mop heads to move somewhat slowly around to give you a cleaning agent free, water based, dust removal finish to your floors. Frankly, with my dog situation, and my adult children who aren't as neat as I would like, we have more of a need for high speed, cleaner based mopping needs. Most however, will find this useful if they aren't faced with the same challenges. This will get dirt off of the floor and onto the cloth pads, yes, but will not suffice as a replacement for a mop to mop up spills or to get dirty dried on stuff spilled on the floor that was overlooked at the last meal. It is more like a wet dust mopping. The floor must be dry and free of hair and stuff because it only swirls around and no vacuum assist during the mopping action.
Getting past that, the power head for the vacuum does NOT have a problem with hair clinging to it and I can attest to this fully as my dogs hair normally clogs up most power heads. They normally leave little space for it to get from the roller to the tank, and then the hair starts a downward spiral of getting clogged up - this does NOT suffer from this effect. In fact, I was shocked to see that when I looked, the power head had zero backup going on, as if it was still brand new. This is a very good thing for me because I cannot tell you how many times I've had to take over power heads apart and clean, like every 2nd or 3rd day. Very frustrating.
One really cool feature is the Kompressor bar. Sounds like a gimmick but it isn't. While simple, this has never been done before, it presses all that stuff down while you are out vacuuming, so that all that hair that would have taken up the tank, is pressed down and compressed into the small amount of space it really needs, thereby reducing the trips to the trash can to empty! Genius and most certainly appreciated! This is no gimmick, this is really helpful and will allow you to keep going, which is part of the reason I get frustrated cleaning because of all the trips back to the can to empty. This takes away that frustration!
Another cool and non-gimmicky feature is the WIFI and app. Why? Well besides seeing how much time you really spend vacuuming, which it documents how long and what speeds you used and for how long, it has a smart diagnosis function. Run that and make sure your unit is working as it should. Frequent tips for common problems will show up if you don't have any issues, and if you do have problems, it would show you what to do to troubleshoot and resolve them. You would simply add this to the app as another appliance/device in your home, and then once the vac is connected, WIFI remains on unless you turn it off. Once your vacuuming is done and returned to the base, it'll send you a push notification when it is fully charged. Very handy and much appreciated. In my case I had some trouble adding this to the app, I had to delete the app and re-install it for some reason, I believe this is a one-off problem and not the common thing. You will not have to relearn all of your devices should you have to do this as the devices will re-appear when you re-install the app, also something that is much appreciated. The Thin Q app from LG has come a long way from its inception, it is a handy app for all of your LG stuff that is WIFI connected.
I know there are things I'm forgetting to tell you about, as this is a full featured cleaning system, not just a vacuum. It fills the void by providing all of the things you will want from your primary vacuum. The beauty of buying from BestBuy is their liberal return policy, which for an investment such as this, you'll want to know can be used if for some reason you find this doesn't fit your needs. But trust me when I tell you, after spending decades being the primary cleaning person, with lots of vacuuming hours under my belt, and always wanting to be able to say "This one has it all", I find myself thinking this is really the be all end all for vacuums.
The part about the adjustable vacuum height should not be overlooked. As I've aged and put on a few extra pounds, my back hurts more often than it used to. Using similar looking vacuums makes my back hurt because of the height of the vacuum and the top heaviness of them. This adjustable height and very balanced feel of this vacuum has allowed me to vacuum for longer without my back hurting. Anyone with back issues will understand you try to find things and ways to prevent this from happening as quickly. This seemingly small feature is a very big deal for me. And my daughter, who is only 5'1" echoes my sentiments on this topic.

HP is amazing, and this monitor is more proof!

When I opened up the box, I was impressed. You'll see a picture below that shows why. Everything is included, laid out well, and makes for a very easy assembly. It even comes with an HDMI cable, who else does that? Nobody! Thanks HP!
Anyway, you'll find the lower part of the mount in the box tray. Same with the upper arm that attaches the platform to the monitor. Simply snap it in on the monitor side, turn the thumb screw on the platform side, and good to go. The power cord and transformer are in the box, plug those in, easy enough. Turn it on. It'll find if you are using HDMI or VGA....thank you for including VGA, so many have shunned that very necessary port - I need that for one of my computers and no alternatives exist as that is a diagnostic computer and not something that will be replaced often.
The monitor has an amazing rendition of images! It says 1080p, but wow, looks like 4K to me. I've included pics taken on my iPhone, from a video playing on Youtube, using Chrome. They look better in person, but you'll get the idea. And there is no hocus pocus or funny business, these were literally snapshots taken on an iPhone of a movie playing on YouTube, displayed on this monitor - while the subjects were moving!
Do yourself a favor and get a monitor you know is decent; this one!
This can be used for so many things, from game systems like a Nintendo Switch, to a laptop to utilize dual screen functionality, or even a TV monitor coming off of your cable box. Maybe a monitor for your CCTV system around your home. Today we use monitors for many things, and this will likely be around for a minute! It is lightweight, a very thin bezel to save space, and very easy to assemble and install.

EXCELLENT PRINTER/SCANNER - CAN ONLY USE HP TONER
on April 28, 2021

from PHILLY SUBURBS
This printer/copier/scanner is truly an amazing piece of engineering marvel. It is a very nice machine, It really is impressive and when you take it out of the box, you'll see what I mean. It is sturdy, more like a small refrigerator than a printer/copier/scanner in that it is very rock solid. Not junky or cheesy. Very impressed.
Setup could not be easier. Follow the link to the app, download, open, and follow the instructions step by step, to connect to your wifi network for wireless printing.
You'll hit a speed bump in the setup because of the HP+ thing. I feel like I'm held hostage because it is like you have to sign up for this to be able to print. Even if you don't give your credit card for the free toner/subscription thing, you have to sign up and agree that you'll never use a non-HP toner cartridge (in fairness, it does say this on the label and maybe the box too). I felt trapped, like I had to sucumb to this thing I didn't really want to do right now, I just wanted to print, scan, enjoy my new purchase and not get bound up in these types of monumental decisions. Would be best saved for after you have a chance to use the machine, feel good about it, and then sign up.
As for the printer, it prints fast, nice, and with great quality. Seriously nice. Scanning? I was able to scan a necessary document, name it, and export it to Acrobat as a PDF within record time. Seriously fast. And high quality too. Need a quick copy of something, fast, easy, and no worries. I love this machine, it is really nice, solid, no quirks or problems. And my lights did not dim in the house when it printed as was the case with laser printers of yesteryear.
The buttons for copy/scan, etc. are easy and intuitive. The app is more than intuitive. The paper feed is open, not a tray, and I like that alot. I hate pulling out that darn tray and all that - with this, just slide some more paper into the slot and you are good to go. Easy.
Removing/changing the toner cart and fixing jammed paper if you get any, will be super easy. I was able to pull the toner cart out and required no effort or "tech" to do...jams will be able to be seen during the travel path once the cover is open. Super easy, super friendly to those in your home or office who fix these things when a jam eventually happens. I noticed this had very surefooted paper feeding, no wishy washy misfeeds - it took the paper in confidently!
Back to the HP+ thing. After you realize that the normal yield cartridge costs $50 and the high yield one costs $75, you start to think, I hate going to buy it and spending so much at one time. The HP+ per page/toner subscription is reasonably priced and frankly a much easier pill to swallow as they say, rather than rolling up to your local office supply store to spend $75 on a Saturday afternoon. Just pay each month, and then when you need a new cart, they send it to you. Return the old one, and it is just automated and easy. Seems to be a discounted price to print per page, than to buy a cartridge at retail. So in the end, a good value, just don't want to be bogged down during the setup.
You will never go wrong with HP. Their stuff works and it works well. You must realize and accept, you'll only be able to use HP carts along the way and either sign up for HP+, or maybe someone will offer up a cart with an old chip in it so you can save printing costs - buyer beware, those knock off or reloaded carts are always a bad business decision with the quality of what you receive - at least that has been my experience in the past.
As we move towards being more "online" and less printing of things, my guess is that printer companies need to capture their market share now and keep users on board before they fall off the edge and go mostly online. Just thinking out loud. Trust me when I tell you I would be team HP all the way, because I know their stuff works, lasts forever, and frankly were there with me from the early days. I trust HP and I know you will love this product. Just don't think you'll be able to cheap out and get knock off toner for less - it clearly says no non-HP carts can be used. But accepting the HP+ plan, seeing the rates, makes sense. And to know it'll arrive when I need it, makes me a bigger fan in the end.

Really nice earbuds, hardwired = louder sound
on April 19, 2021

One of the things I realized I missed about wired headsets/earbuds/etc. is that you get more volume from them vs. bluetooth. I guess I don't know exactly why, but it doesn't matter, these are nice. I find listening to more music and whatnot since the pandemic started, and as such, find my typical choice is running out of battery power often. And then when I need to talk on a phone call, I cannot.
Being wired works without this stress. The only thing I sort of wish for is a longer cord. It is shorter than I'd like but maybe being too long is worse for getting tangled up or something.
The sound quality is awesome, and I am very much a fan of Skullcandy with the last two things I've used of theirs. Thank you!

Perfect for taking a peak in on things
By Jahnjays from Chicago
I got this camera for keeping an eye on my parents, they are older and at risk for falling and other issues, this camera has already paid for itself ten times over! Not only does it give you a sense of security, it also gives my parents a peace of mind known that they are not alone and are being watched, unfortunately my father has fallen twice in the time I bought this camera, it allowed me to see him on the floor and I was able to race home to help him up, if it wasn't for the camera who knows how long he would have been laying there. The picture is not perfect but more than good enough, I actually leave it in Night Vision mode and the picture is great, also the microphone is impressively good. You are able to rotate the camera via your smart phone or computer, it's a little slow but over all I have no complaints. Well worth the money, I went out and bought 2 more for the rest of the house, the smart phone app is very easy to use, set up was a little bit of a pain, I'd say 1 hour but again, not bad. Honestly the best thing I have bought in years and I buy a lot.

What if a vacuum was so advanced it could sense the type of floor it’s cleaning? BISSELL SurfaceSense Pet vacuum can! Its intelligent SurfaceSense Technology can detect floor types and automatically adjust the brush roll speed to give you optimal cleaning performance on any floor type. It’s also our first vacuum with a Tangle-Free, Multi-Surface Brush Roll which has stiff bristles for cleaning carpet and soft bristles for vacuuming hard floors, so it can pick up everything from fine dust to larger debris across all floor types. SurfaceSense Pet vacuum has a One Touch, Easy Empty dirt tank and a SmartSeal Allergen System that traps fine dust and allergens while you clean. The LED headlights illuminate hidden dirt and debris while the Quick Release Extension Wand and above floor tools work together to clean hard-to-reach spaces, like upholstery and stairs. And this vacuum doesn’t just clean up after pets, it helps save them, too! BISSELL proudly supports BISSELL Pet Foundation and its mission to help save homeless pets. When you buy a BISSELL product, you help save pets. We’re proud to design products that help make pet messes, odors and pet homelessness disappear.

Is this a self-propelled vacuum? Is there a Bissell that is?

Not self propelled but is easy to maneuver because it has such a strong beater bar that kind of pulls it along. Bissell does not make a self propelled model that I am aware of.

How many filters does this have. Are they washable

This has a single cylindrical filter that is not washable. You can however, vacuum the exterior of the filter, to increase longevity of the filter.

Record and view impressive 4K video with this innovative recorder, providing superior clarity when it comes to your security. Can you disable audio recording for these?

You can turn that feature off, but can also turn on the privacy shield to turn off video and audio by using an actual physical filter. Or you can simply turn off the mic function and nothing will be recorded. You can keep the speaker function, in case you want to say something, but turn off the mic function so your conversations won't be overheard.

Protect your home while away without comprising your privacy when at home. Arlo Essential Indoor Camera captures 1080p video and offers a way to reassure your privacy with an automated privacy shield, controllable through the Arlo App. Receive motion alerts directly to your phone and use 2-way audio to hear and speak to visitors. See at night, with black and white night vision. Connect directly to Wi-Fi for easy setup. Get notifications on your smartphone when your camera spots people or animals, and view recorded video clips directly from your phone, with a trial of included Arlo Secure¹.

How do I look up past recordings on the camera

In the app, you can go to the recorded library of images. If you don't have any, I'd ask if you set up any of the rules to get this to record. If not, you have to set up the things ou want to do and when, to get it to record. This is somewhat easier said than done, but it is better than it used to be. Contact tech support for help if needed.

On the Arlo Essential, can the IR be turned off? I’d like to position it behind glass.

Yes, you simply turn off the "night vision" option in video settings. See the pic below that shows the option and where it is.

In the app, you simply do "add camera" and go through the instructions. Easy peasy. Takes about 30 seconds to add.

Can this vacuum be used on concrete floors?

I'm sure it can be, it can be used on any hard or carpeted surface. It has a unique roller bar that is neither too hard or too soft, and should work just fine.

Would the mop attachment work on the previous CordZero model?

I'm confident they are interchangeable. As long as the connector looks the same, it'll work with it.

Can i use old a9 by attached A9 wet mop unit

I'm sure you can, as long as it is the same connection. The mop unit just swirls the cloth pads around and drips water out so it can be a kind of wet dust mop. It uses the power from the wand to do it. But it does not vacuum up anything, when in this mode.
