This collection of four Clint Eastwood films about San Francisco police detective Harry Callahan includes Dirty Harry, Magnum Force, The Enforcer, and Sudden Impact.
I had been waiting to get the 5 Dirty Harry films on DVD. The previously released sets have been VERY expensive.
If you want the films this is a way to get at least 4 OF THEM NOT ALL 5 at a decent price.
Even though "The Dead Pool" is the least memorable of the films still should have been included.
From the original 1971 film "Dirty Harry" to "Magnum Force" to "The Enforcer" to my favorite of the films 1983's "Sudden Impact".
All the films are wide screen.
Good to see in a cheaper package each film has an extra with it.
NO chapter search list or film information. Cheaper DVD package you know that type of thing would not be included.
OK, I am going to complain about these every time I get a DVD with them. CHEAP & HORRIBLE!! THESE ARE TERRIBLE. This DVD plastic case is one of those that has THE INTENTIONAL HOLES IN THEM. Your DVD's can be easily damaged because of these holes. Whoever designed them & whoever said this is a good idea WAS NOT THINKING of their customers, just a way to cut corners. They WANT the DVD's to get damaged so you HAVE TO purchase same films again in the future.
You could tell this was the last season from the 1st episode in it. "A Womb with a View" starts out good, musical number about then current situation of show. We saw in the beginning Disney clipps with Tinker Bell & Sleeping Beauty Castle and a Disneyland Mickey parade show in a montage with Louis Armstrongs "What A Wonderful World" and we end up with Willis in a diaper and a poor end to the Maddie being pregnant storyline.
Music highlight 1 episode had an Elvis song.
Poor storyline with Virginia Madsen playing Maddie's cousin Annie in several episodes that was all wrong.
For Willis fans the highlight episode here is "When Girls Collide". We see Willis's ex wife exchanging glances with him as we meeting the Annie character. Then, David & Annie out for a walk & we see a "Die Hard" poster being taken down behind him.
Final episode on the inside episode brochure says "star-packed final episode". NO guest stars. Star-packed it was NOT.
We do see the "Disneyland" reference a plus in the episode.
NO good commentary on this last season package.
We miss the show, when it was in its heyday before the story lines brought it down.
Ok, we fans of the show will debate of which of the 5 seasons were the best.
Season three had more unique episodes. All the episodes due to the writers strike. Rona Barrett, the introduction of the Hubert (Bert) Viola character.
The episode Atomic Shakespeare a great idea, I always enjoyed it. In the commentary we learn it was the lowest rated episode. NOT good after the work & idea put into it.
Then, the introduction & removal of the Sam character with Mark Harmon. The set up for the last 2 episodes of the season I Am Curious…Maddie the episode where Maddie & David finally get together & To Heiress Human the day after episode.
Cameos from future celebrities, look for those as the show goes on.
OK, let's get technical. The chases & stunts. NOT a good job with the stunt people looking like the characters. But, you remembered the chases because the were funny.
We did NOT really care about the case for the week, we cared about the characters. How the characters were written & how the behaved is what brought we fans to the show week after week.
The quotable lines.
Commentary on some episodes & 1 extra in this season DVD package.
The popular comedy drama that launched Bruce Willis' career and gave new life to Cybill Shepherd's finally makes its way to DVD in this special box set. Moonlighting: Seasons One and Two features the first 25 episodes of the series, originally aired in 1985 and 1986, all transferred to disc in their original full-frame aspect ratio of 1.33:1. The audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital Stereo; the dialogue is in English, with no multiple language options. Bonus materials include commentary tracks on selected episodes, featuring Willis, Shepherd, and series creator Glenn Gordon Caron; two short documentaries on the production of the show; a selection of deleted scenes and bloopers; and more.
How unique the show was. Just because of the characters Maddie & David & how the show was written.
We did NOT really care about the case for the week, we cared about the characters. How the characters were written & how the behaved is what brought we fans to the show week after week.
Course, we can go into the later seasons when none of the seasons had the normal.
The banter between the characters. A totally 1980's show. The music. The woman's clothes
OK, let's get technical. The chases & stunts. NOT a good job with the stunt people looking like the characters. But, you remembered the chases because the were funny.
The quotable lines.
Oh the DVD releases, this is the best of the 5 seasons.
Best extras. Commentary on some episodes & 3 other extras.
Cameos from future celebrities, look for those as the show goes on.
I will STILL watch the 1951 Disney classic above this one.
I had doubts when Pocahontas was released in 1995. Turned out to be a great film.
This film is good NOT GREAT. I have never read the Lewis Carroll book, just know the 1951 film.
Of course, we do NOT have songs in this 1. You can always listen to the songs in the 1951 film.
Depp, he has done this type of role before, so this was no stretch for him. Carter, Burton's girlfriend so that is how she keeps getting these parts in his film, good as the Red Queen. The big head bit….with special effects the way the are today this effect should have been done better. Hathaway needs Disney to get hit films. OK job as the White Queen with no screen time till 2cd half of film.
Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum were a let down compared to the 1951 film. All the animated characters NOT even close to the classic film.
The ending was bit of a let down.
NOW, I find myself having to say this with recent Disney DVD releases. A line on the back of this DVD case describing the film "The extraordinary characters you’ve loved come to life richer and MORE COLORFUL THAN EVER". OK, Disney, if you are prompting how the film looks then why are you guys resorting to PLAIN SILVER DVD'S LIKE WHEN DVD'S CAME OUT IN THE LATE 1990’S?
No chapter search list or any information on film inside.
SHOULD have done better at the box office & Oscars

I remember when this film was released June 2005.
Didn’t really do well at the box office. SHOULD have been released in the fall.
Good to watch the story. BUT, WE DID NOT NEED THE MADE UP/NOT REAL CHARACTER OF MIKE.
Russell did his normal excellent job. SHOULD have gotten an Oscar nomination.
Good to see Braddock’s granddaughter playing FAKE MIKE'S wife.
I did NOT like the Mae character. I know this was a long time ago & woman’s roles were different but come on. Sat around while Jim busted himself at the docks & getting back into boxing to make money for the family. Did NOT support Jim’s boxing, she would NOT watch nor listen.
A few extras on the DVD. When DVD's USED to have chapter search lists. Interesting to see making of sections.
Join Joel, Tom Servo, Crow and all the occupants of the Satelite of Love as they mock the film The Wild World of Batwoman on this episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000. The episode comes to DVD with a standard full-frame transfer that preserves the original broadcast aspect ratio of 1.33:1. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Stereo. There are neither subtitles nor closed-captions on this release. Supplemental materials include an uncut version of the film on the flipside of the disc. This is a great release for any fan of the series.

From the creative minds at Best Brains comes another instalment of the cult classic feature-length television program Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K). This DVD includes the episode "Mitchell," which originally aired October 23, 1993, on the Comedy Central cable network. This episode also marks the final appearance of the show's co-creator and co-host Joel Hodgson. In addition to the 91-minute show, this DVD also includes the original 62-second movie trailer for the "feature presentation." The animated menu screen is straightforward and allows easy navigation and access not only to said trailer, but the 20-chapter indexes as well. After five-and-a-half seasons at the creative helm of MST3K, Hodgson left the show on a decidedly up note -- owing in part to the fact that the film Mitchell practically mocks itself. Joe Don Baker stars in this low-budget "action" flick as Mitchell -- a Southern California police detective who uses his gut (literally) to solve crimes, some of which involve his own department. The film also stars Martin Balsam and John Saxon with cameo appearances by Merlin Olsen and Linda Evans. The premise of each episode of MST3K revolves around Hodgson and his robotic pals Crow T. Robot and Tom Servo being monitored by two evil scientists. In order to gain total control of their subject, they launched him into the void of outer space. His mind is then monitored as he is subjected to week after week of bad movies. However, Hodgson dismantled much of the gear on-board his rocket (aka The Satellite of Love) to create his companions. One big reason why MST3K works on so many levels is the concept that one can say and do things using a robot that a human might not be able to get away with. This episode succeeds in capturing the essence of what makes MST3K so endearing. The image and audio transfer is flawless. Due to the nature of the program, there is little in the way of extras. There are no widescreen or anamorphic versions and likewise there are no alternate audio tracks either. This mirrors the way in which the episode was initially aired and does not detract from the inherent value of the DVD whatsoever. For those inclined, "Mitchell" is among the best from the Joel Hodgson years on MST3K.

This collection of comic highlights from Will Ferrell's tenure on Saturday Night Live gets a solid presentation for its release on DVD. The meterial included on Saturday Night Live: The Best of Will Ferrell has been transferred to disc in its original full-frame aspet ratio of 1.33:1, and the audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital Stereo. No multiple language options have been included, though the sketches have been closed cpationed in English. Bonus material on this disc includes highlights from Ferrell's audition tapes, a collection of outtakes, footage from SNL dress rehearsals, and a gallery of still photos.
I HAD been looking forward to purchasing this DVD so I could see Will do my favorite characters I thought he did.
I was let down real fast.
BE WARNED IF YOU WANT THE SAME.
MY favorite by far is Bush. Here was my let down. YOU WOULD THINK LIKE I DID YOU WOULD GET AN ENTIRE BUSH SKIT. NOPE, YOU GET ONLY PART OF 1 & IT WAS NOT ONE THAT WAS REPLAYED BECAUSE IT WAS REAL GOOD. Nope, whoever's idea it was to do that made a major mistake.
GOT a full skit of "Jeopardy" with the Connery & Reynolds being played. Really enjoyed seeing that.
More cow bells is here.
Inside the Actors Studio, the cheerleaders.
I am just so let down about NOT an entire Bush skit.
I have been a fan & collector of Harrison's for 30 years now.
I USED to be 1st in the door opening day for his films. This film is an example as to why I do NOT do that anymore.
Of the few films he did last decade, this was the 1st & it was a hit.
Film is just ok. We see cameos from Harrison's wife from the great "Air Force One" Wendy Crewson &" Lord of the Rings" 2 & 3 Miranda Otto.
The twist which was not really a twist was who the bad guy was. Different to see Harrison in this role. I will NOT give away a spoiler here as to not upset anyone.
The story about the family to me just did not hold up & how Harrison & Michelle married. The story about the dead girl OK, fine.
Script was the problem with the film.
Standard extras on it & at least since it is an older DVD we get a chapter search list.
The Kardashian sisters feel the impact of celebrity in this season, when Khloé must deal with the very public aftermath of her DUI, while Kim and Kourtney contend with sibling rivalry as their professional and personal relationships blur.
Overall4 out of 5
Guilty pleasure, MUCH IMPROVED OVER SEASON 2
ByCKCSWHFFANfromhome
Yes, the show is a guilty pleasure.
Episodes that aired in 2009. 12 episodes this season
Now, THE IMPROVEMENTS. 1. The episodes are wide screen, 2. Disc 1 has deleted scenes & 3. Disc 2 has commentary for episodes. Why not with each episode-no clue about that. But it is MUCH better than the blog from Rob on season 2.
Now, this time out apparently there are ONLY 3 Kardashians in this season. Kourtney, Kim & Khloe are only shown on both sides of the DVD case. BOTH discs have the same photo of them. So, they do NOT give credit to Kris, Bruce, Rob, Kendall & Kylie? Show is called Keeping Up With The Kardashians NOT Keeping Up With The Kardashian Sisters.
1 big mistake done again on this DVD. Same CHEAP, PLASTIC DVD CASE WITH THE INTENTIONAL HOLES IN IT. CHEAP & NOT SAFE. Apparently the DVD makers just want people to buy this over & over again since the DVD are NOT safely secure.
And, a point for anyone. There was MASS CONFUSION ABOUT THE RELEASE DATE OF THIS DVD. It was released 8-17-10. Some stores & websites changed the date until 9-21-10. THIS WAS UNTRUE. I purchased the DVD from a local store 8-18-10. So, make sure IF you want it check with the store. DO NOT GO BY PRINTED MATERIAL
