This iPhone case pairs well with the similar design of the Modal Floral Portfolio for iPad. My girlfriend loved it and couldn’t pass the iPhone one. She liked the fact that it is not only pretty but also sturdy. The case is interesting because it has flowers printed on them even though it’s clear. That adds a very nice touch and gives it a distinctive look.
Besides good protection, two things about cases that I get concerned about are the blocking of the charging port and Magsafe. By blocking, I mean, making it hard or impossible to charge, rendering the lightning cable and Magsafe unusable. The Modal Floral Case does neither while also checking the protection checkbox.
This specific case is made for the iPhone 13 Pro and won’t work with any other model. My 13-year-old daughter has a 12 Pro and I was planning on purchasing one for her. It fits it, but it doesn’t feel right. I couldn’t find one designed for the 12 Pro. Being a teen, she wanted that one anyway because it was cool, according to her own words, but I’ll wait until Modal comes up with one specifically for her phone.

Good Design and Protection

This was for my girlfriend and my notes are mostly from her point of view. The look is similar to the Modal Folio Case for the iPhone. If you get this for you iPad, I recommend the iPhone case as well.
She was very excited about it because it looked very good and offered good protection for her iPad. She was even happier when she realized that it was clear and soft, but also very sturdy. Because, she loves watching videos, the first feature she noticed was that it folds to work as a stand.
One common issue with some of these folio cases is that the Apple Pencil is either forgotten entirely or is an afterthought. Fortunately, Modal remembered to include a well thought storage for it. She pointed out that this case doesn’t obstruct ports when charging and that the buttons are also easily accessible. The magnetic cover is great and triggers the iPad on/off feature.
Her only “disklike” is that she uses a keyboard every now and the and this folio doesn’t include or allows one that would work easily. Still, she liked it well enough to use it as is until she really needs to type something on a physical keyboard. My personal dislike is that the flap bothers me when the iPad is not open, but it doesn't bother her. Also, I don’t want to sound sexist, but it really looks as if it was designed for women only, but that’s not negative in any way.

Quiet and Powerful Air Purifier

Setup was very easy. Even connecting it to Wi-Fi through LG Thinq app was very easy, especially because I already had the app for our LG washing machine and drier. You have full control of it with your phone, Alexa or Google. The display provides good information without distraction.
I have a much bigger air purifier and it does a good job of cleaning the air, but it is bulky, ugly, loud, and doesn’t cool the air. This LG PuriCare is tall at almost 4 feet high but has a sleek, slim and pretty design. It cleans the air in big areas as promised and is the quietest purifier I have ever tried. It’s even quieter than a much smaller one in my bedroom. Still, its jet of air is powerful and cools the air like a good fan, but without blowing sheets of paper and other objects everywhere. Just be aware that by “cools the air”, I don’t mean that it works like an AC. It doesn’t, but it certainly makes a difference.
There is so much to like about it like the three different modes of air purifying. Most people will just set it to auto and forget. It does work well that way, but I would still recommend testing different settings and schedule.
My living room is large but depending on what we’re cooking in the kitchen, it senses the air quality decrease and runs at maximum speed until air is good again. Interestingly, I placed it far from the kitchen, but it still kicks off at the first sign of air quality change. It has a very sensitive sensor, to the point where it will increase the speed of the fan even if you cough around it. The first time it happened, I thought it coincidence, but I have a family member in the family recovering from Covid and the experience repeated multiple times. That’s good to see and has convinced me that it can reduce not only allergens and but also germs in the air. My family and I are in the Health Care industry and it is very important to feel protected at home, especially because of some us suffer from sinus issues during pollen season. I’m glad to report that LG PuriCare Air Purifier does help us, even though we’ve had it for just a few day.

This was for our older SUV that doesn’t have a built-in camera like our newer one. The front one was very easy to install, but the back one was as hard as my previous experience with this type of camera. The included cable was long enough, but hiding it was not an easy task. Other than that, it was very simple.
Compared to other dashcam cameras that I used in the past, this one has a slightly better quality, but it does not look like 4K exactly. If the daylight was not super clear and the front car wasn’t close and slow enough, I couldn’t read license plates easily. At first, I thought it was compression artifacts, but my experience with video tells me that it’s an issue with image stabilization. I can say that because if my car and the car in front of me were at a stop sign or going slow on a very smooth road for example, the image was clear enough to read even small bumper stickers.
The screen size is good. Any bigger could be unsafe as it would take too much viewing space on the windshield. The image looks very good despite the stabilization issue I mentioned earlier and the no-so-convincing 4K resolution. The recording function works well. Here’s hoping temperature won’t be an issue for the SD card.
My main complaint here is that it does not work well at night. The images are too dark, and the stabilization issue becomes even more noticeable. However, I would still recommend it as an entry level dash cam.

Semi-Pro Controller with Nice Features

As with most controller, this RIG Nacon Revolution took no guess, and it was ready to go as soon as I connected it to my Xbox and later to my gaming PC. Except that I spent hours mapping the keys to customize them to the way I play. To me, that’s part of the experience of playing games, and this controller gives you a lot of customization.
All controllers should consider the time gamers spend using them. They should be as lightweight as possible. The Revolution is surprising lighter than expected. Usually, you’d expect lightweight controllers to be flimsy, but this one feels sturdy. The included weights can help when lightness is not ideal.
This is not a pro controller, but it will feel like one for those who have only used basic ones . On the downside, it is wired, which can be a blessing for games that require very fast response, but a frustration for freedom of movement. I tend to use wired controllers when competing, but for other games, wireless is my favorite. That’s why I use both. But this one has a 12-ft cord, which gives you a lot of freedom.
One unexpected and welcome feature that I noticed is that this controller comes with 3D Dolby Atoms. And again, a lot of customization is possible, with changing profiles as need. A lot more than I could expect for a non-pro, and the included case looks nice, and it is not bulky by any means, adding to the feel of a professional type.
Performance, durability, responsiveness, accuracy, and customization. I couldn’t ask for much more than that.

Easy setup. Connection to Wi-Fi was very quick using the app, which I already used with another Canon printer. That may have made it easier for me but I wouldn’t expect it be any harder for first time users. Once set up, printing from my phone or laptop couldn’t be easier.
The LCD screen is very small, but it serves its function well. After it is set up, I mostly use make changes through my computer or phone. The screen is there just to help with manual set up or display basic information
Photos looked nice but darker than I would expect. Using the other Canon printer, the same photos came out with a more natural look. No deal breaker but I like pointing out differences, especially because I would not use it for professional photos. I own a Canon DSLR and am used to printing lots of pictures. My eyes are trained to spot this type of detail. But for day-to-day family pictures, I would use it without worries. It’s not bad, just darker. Just be sure to use Canon photo paper. I’ve noticed a huge difference in quality when using papers from other brands, and vice versa. My recommendation is to always use photos from the same brand as your printer.
Text printing is simply excellent, albeit slow. Scanning is easy and the quality is also good. A common theme here is slowness. What I mean is that it is not as fast as some bigger models, but nothing to sneeze at.
It fit perfectly in the smaller home office used by my partner. It is a compact printer that doesn’t take much space and that was what she liked the most. Her desk looks roomier after we moved the bigger printer to use this Canon PIXMA TS6420a.

Dropping phones all the time, I do care about quality and feel of the cases I use. Since I started using this BodyGuardz case, I have already dropped my phone at least twice and not a single scratch. It was never over a 4- or 5-foot drop, but it has already convinced me that it does protect my phone from myself. it has an 8-foot drop rating, which is more than adequate for me. It has an anti-slip grip, but I don’t usually drop my phone because it slips. It’s mostly because I leave it on my legs or other surfaces and forget about it. But most people will probably drop their phone less with it.
I am glad it doesn’t change the look of my iPhone too much. It is also light and comfortable unlike most hard cases and doesn’t interfere with Apple Magsafe. The raised bumper also protects the camera and buttons.
it is nice to know that it has anti-microbial properties with PureGuard. I can’t testify how well it works, but if it is anything like some products I deal with in healthcare, my phone is in good hands. This is actually the main reason I recommend this case.

Functionality with Charm and Responsiveness

The first thing I noticed - after the RGB lighting, of course – was that the wheel has three important functions that save time when playing games that require quick response. It may save just a few milliseconds, but it made a huge difference when competing with other players. And because it is ergonomic, it feels good. My hands are starting to hurt after so many years of gaming and aging, and an ergonomic gaming mouse and keyboard have become essential to me. This Roccat Kone XP is perfect for my hands.
I stopped counting after a while, but I believe there are 15 buttons, which are mostly useful although some are questionable for my specifics needs. The box says 29 button functions, and I got to admit I haven’t tried them all, but I was pleased with everything I tried. Customization is up to your imagination and needs.
The look is good, and I would say that it doesn’t look like a typical gaming mouse when used with a non-gaming keyboard. The RGB lights are nice and not super shiny as you’d expect for this type of mouse, but I see it as a positive thing, because it doesn’t distract you. When used with a gaming keyboard with RGB, it blends nicely, whether the keyboard brightness is high or not. The lights are also customizable.
Responsiveness and sturdiness, all requirements for gaming peripherals, are met by this mouse. Highly recommended. No cons. It’s wired, but for gaming, it’s best that way.

Luxurious Look, Excellent Performance and Features

First, let me tell you that I’ve literally owned dozens of Air Fryers, toasters and ovens. Some I really liked. But once I got this GE Café Couture, everything before feels like kids’ toy to me. Set up was not complicated. It's plug and play, but if you want to use some of its smart features, you will need to spend some time to download the app and set it up there, then connect it to Wi-Fi, Google and Alexa. Don’t skip it because it’s worth it.
Design looks fantastic. Nothing like the hundreds of other models out there. The copper toned dials and handle are very pleasing to the eyes and complements the oven color. The LCD screen is also very pretty; no colors, just white, but like everything else, it fits the whole clean, sleek, luxurious design. So much care in the details. We have already received lots of compliments on its look.
But it’s not just looks that have impressed us. The Air Fry function meets or exceeds the best we’ve owned. One unexpected function that we tried and enjoyed was the proofing, which we used for a focaccia dough. After watching it triple the size, we moved it to a sheet and baked it. It worked amazingly well, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. This was our first home made focaccia and it tasted just as good as the one in a fancy restaurant in town. I’ve added some pictures showing part of the process. CrispFinish is another very interesting feature, melting and caramelizing. This is also our first similar oven that keeps food warm and reheats, and it does it without burning or making it dry.
Size is good for pizza – up to 12”, and the dehydrate function was put to use and we couldn’t be happier with the result. The only feature we haven’t tried yet is the slow cook but based on the excellent outcome of all other functions, I expect it to perform just as great.
We love that we can turn on and off, control temperature, timer, and other programming features using our phones. Alexa and Google can also control it too. Having a lot of smart devices and lights controlled by those digital assistants, I am very happy that this oven integrates so well. You can just tell them what you want the oven to do, and voila.
In summary, every single function exceeded our expectations. We tried to find anything that we didn’t like for this review, but we couldn’t. If I were to say something was missing, that would be a rotisserie, but the chicken we roasted came out so nice that I’m not sure a rotisserie would have made much, if any, difference. Luxurious look, very useful features, great performance, and smart. What else could I ask for? Ten out of five stars. That’s how we feel.

What All Flossers Should Be

I am very biased towards all Sonicare line of Philips products. I have never been disappointed. They’re simple to use. They are very effective. And it’s probably the most recommended brand by dentists. This Sonicare flosser is no exception.
Flossing is good, but water flossing is the holy grail. It has been shown in clinical trials many times over that it not only cleans your teeth, but also protects and strengthens your gums, preventing gingivitis, for instance. This flosser works great with either nozzle. I had used this type before, so I had no problem with it, but for first timers, please be aware that you could spill water everywhere, including your bathroom mirror and clothes. The good news is that once you get used to it, you will probably never think of flossing any other way.
I do like that you can stop/start the flow using just the wand. That’s a handy feature, especially for newbies. Previous types I used, required to reach out to the main unit where the water tank is. Not this Sonicare model.
Maybe I could say a lot more, like how clean my mouth feels, and so on, but it is Sonicare. If you know this brand, you know it is worth more than the money you pay.

Yes, it can. Open NVIDIA Control Panel, under Display click Change resolution, ignore the 1080p (native) under Ultra HD SD and scroll down to PC 1920x1080, click on it and change the Refresh rate to 144Hz.

No not yet but I believe it will soon. As far as I know, for now it only supports Nest, SmartThings, Philips Hue and IFTTT.
