On Superjoint's first studio album in 13 years, frontman Phil Anselmo is just as angry as ever. Caught Up in the Gears of Application probably won't win new fans, though it'll satisfy those who've been longtime fans of Anselmo's work.

When Pantera first released The Great Southern Trendkill 20 years ago it wasn't received as well as their three prior major label albums. However as time has gone on it has grown to be a cult favorite of many Pantera fans. Some standout tracks on the album include "War Nerve", "Drag the Waters", "Suicide Note Pt. I", Suicide Note Pt. II", "Floods" which many consider to have one of the late Dimebag Darrell's greatest guitar solos & closing track "(Reprise) Sandblasted Skin". The bonus disc contains previously unreleased demos & live songs making this a must own for any diehard Pantera fan.
Dissociation which The Dillinger Escape Plan have said will be their final studio album show that they're a band that's going out while they're still at the peak of their powers. Highly recommend for anyone who's ever been a fan.
I feel that Album of the Year which was Faith No More's last studio album for 18 years is a more cohesive piece of work than their prior release King for a Day... Fool for a Lifetime. This was their last studio album until 2015's Sol Invictus. Highlights from Album of the Year include "Collision", "Stripsearch", "Last Cup of Sorrow", "Ashes to Ashes", "Got That Feeling", & "Pristina". This deluxe edition includes tracks only initially included on import releases such as "The Big Kahuna", "Light Up and Let Go", & a cover of "This Guy's In Love With You" which Faith No More still occasionally performs in concert to this day.
Original Faith No More guitarist Jim Martin was ousted from the band prior to when they began recording King for a Day... Fool for a Lifetime. When it was initially released in 1995 it drew a mixed reaction from fans, though as time has gone on it has become more highly regarded. Highlights include "Evidence", "The Gentle Art of Making Enemies", "Digging the Grave", "King for a Day" & "Just a Man". This deluxe edition includes tracks initially only included on import releases such as "Absolute Zero", covers of "I Started a Joke" & "Spanish Eyes".
For nearly 20 years The Misfits' debut album Static Age was unavailable. That changed in 1997 when Caroline released it. It contains such Misfits classics as "Last Caress", "Hybrid Moments", "We Are 138", "Teenagers From Mars", "Attitude", "Bullet", & "She". If you're looking to dig deep into the Misfits' catalog you won't find a better place to begin than Static Age.
For my money Prince's magnum opus was the soundtrack to Purple Rain. Not to mention for anyone discovering the Prince discography who wants to dig deeper than just the hit singles this is the best place to start.
On Weezer's self titled debut record it showcased the great songwriting of Rivers Cuomo on such timeless songs as "Undone - The Sweater Song", "Buddy Holly" & "Say It Ain't So".
