Powerful and Sleek Cordless Vacuum

This vacuum actually makes it easy, and dare I say, “fun” to clean up the house. It doesn’t feel like a chore to vacuum compared to my old boring upright. It maneuvers around corners with just a twist of the wrist to guide it along. It is also pretty lightweight to use one-handed for quick cleanups like the backseat of a car or cobwebs high in the corners of a room. I like the bright light on the main brush head, especially when you are trying to get to lower lit areas of the house. Also, I always had the conception that a battery operated vacuum had a weak suction but I was very impressed with the cleaning power of this one. Plus, it has a good battery life with quick charging.
My house has a combination of carpet and hard wood floors and the FloorSense had no issues with deciphering which area I was currently vacuuming. The dashboard on the top keeps you aware of the remaining battery life, the current mode being used, and a warning indicator light if something has gone wrong while vacuuming.
There are a variety of attachments that come in the packaging. Switching from one tool to another is as easy as a one-button click and release. You also get a wall mount to store the Hoover and its accessories.
However, not everything is perfect as I have a few grips. The battery itself is great but the battery charging unit is very large and it just doesn’t seem to fit with the whole ‘sleek and slim’ design of the vacuum. Also, the vacuum can’t stand freely on its own, so I am constantly finding something to lean it on while cleaning. None of these are deal-breakers though.
Overall, this is a great whole home cleaning unit and I recommend it to anyone that wants to cut the cord.

This gaming/processing desktop is quite a sight. I like the style and design of the casing. It has an easy release button to open the side panel for access to the internal components. I will note that there is minimal documentation in the box regarding setup and PC feature explanations. I suppose HP expects anyone that buys a gaming PC to already know the ins and outs but having more thorough instructions would be good for someone new to gaming and high-end PCs. As others have mentioned, the corded keyboard and mouse aren’t anything worth writing home about.
The Omen has a quick start-up thanks to Windows 10 being installed on the 256GB SSD. All apps, games, pictures, and files are defaulted to save to the SSD for fast access and loading. However, each of these individual types can be changed to save to the 1TB hard drive in the settings. There is also very little ‘bloatware’ which is nice. However, I did choose to uninstall the McAfee Antivirus since Microsoft Windows already has their own free antivirus.
Although it comes with the lower end of the Ryzen 5 series graphics card at 1400 rating, it still can handle many games that I tested it on. One game in particular was the popular PlayerUnknowns Battlegrounds. I also own another gaming machine that has an AMD RX 480 and the Ryzen 5 is pretty comparable, if not better. On the HP Omen, I could set the game to Ultra versus High on my other PC. Also worth mentioning is the included 8GB RAM. To improve multitasking and gaming, it would have been nice if the Omen came with at least 16GB RAM since 8GB is basically entry level. The consumer is now responsible for expanding the RAM at their own cost but at least it’s an easy process to open the side panel.
For connectivity, the Omen has wireless-AC which gives a stronger connection to a Wi-Fi router with those capabilities. Also, the Bluetooth feature is great for easily connecting an Xbox One controller for gaming.
Overall, this is a good gaming system. For the price, including a better keyboard/mouse (or at least wireless) and 16GB RAM minimum would have been a bonus but it is not a deal-breaker.

The Acer Chromebook 15 is a great computer to do basic tasks like web browsing, word processing/spreadsheets, watching videos, and playing games. In the past I have been only familiar with Windows systems, so it takes some time to become familiar with the Google Chrome OS. After either logging into your google account or creating a new one, the OS provides tips to help you get up and running. One annoyance was having to set my screen brightness each time I turned on the computer. I also noticed that it only has about 23GB available storage since the installed system and components take up the other 9GB or so. It’s not a deal breaker, but I would have liked if the screen had the ability to be a 360-degree flip-and-fold. Instead, it only folds to flat to 180 degrees. For the positive, the Acer computer itself is very thin and pretty light for having an aluminum case and 15.6-inch screen. Since I have an AC Wi-Fi router, I was able to get a fast internet connection which is a plus when roaming around the house. I also noticed that the Acer didn’t heat up in my lap after using it for an hour or so, which must be due to having the flash memory instead of a SSD hard drive that needs a fan to keep it cool. An additional bonus of using the flash memory is that the boot time is very fast and you can be up and running in seconds. Overall, Acer has created a very capable computer and I would recommend it.

Half the price with equal quality

We currently own a Vitamix blender but recently wanted to try the new Ninja Chef blender. It usually isn’t fair to compare products from different pricing categories since the more expensive product usually wins due to craftmanship and quality output. For reference, our Vitamix currently sells for more than twice the price of the Ninja Chef. However, we put the Ninja Chef through the works by blending some fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables into a smoothie. There are multiple selections on the dial to choose from for automating the right rhythm and blending power. We did have to run the ‘smoothie’ option twice to get the texture the way we like. This may be due to using frozen items but the Vitamix is able to handle it in one run. However, I may have packed it with too much when using the automated option and should just manually set it to double the blending time. As mentioned, it’s hard to compare the two products. Although, if I never owned a Vitamix and was only aware of the Ninja Chef, it would be a great addition to the kitchen for its powerful blending abilities. It does just about everything the more expensive blenders do and its half the cost which is great for anyone on a budget. It actually could give them run for the money.

The Philips ProMix hand blender is a great addition to anyone’s kitchen. The variable speed works well to fine tune your blending depending on the item being run through the blades. For those that missed it in the specs section, it is not cordless. The cord is about 5 feet long. I would have preferred it to have a rechargeable battery or even the combination of a corded/cordless option. Also, there are accessories that can be attached but they are not included and have to be purchased separately. I have seen other hand blenders come bundled with extra attachments so that knocks off a star, in my opinion. However, it is a pretty powerful hand blender/mixer that can handle most tasks with ease.

I had been using a 24 inch 1080P TV as my computer monitor for years. I didn't realize how much of a difference and improvement it would be when I switched to this Acer monitor. The text on the desktop icons is so crisp and high quality. Viewing websites and doing daily tasks do not strain my eyes. The only reason I previously used a TV as my computer screen was because it had built in speakers. However, the quality of this Acer monitor easily overshadows the lack of speakers. I just had to add my own cheap set. There are also a variety of setting to adjust the screen image to your liking. Overall, this is a nice monitor for everyday daily tasks or gaming/videos with fast moving scenes.

I had my hands on this toy for a few days and did a lot of interacting with it. This is a great item for any die-hard fan of Spider-Man whether they are a child or adult. I feel the price is pretty steep for an item like this but it does provide hours of fun. It can also be used as an alarm, which would be great for a kid to get them out of bed in the morning. There are interactive games and storylines that I could see a 6 or 7-year-old having a lot of imaginative scenarios play out. Although not required, it is best if you have a smartphone or tablet to download the app for customization and a greater selection of games/options.
The first thing I noticed after unboxing was that it did not include a wall charger plug. Maybe the makers assume you already have a USB wall charger unit or a computer/laptop, but not everyone does. A few other minor gripes include not being able to use the toy as a Bluetooth speaker. The technology is there and it would be a good ‘extra’ feature especially since the collectible has a decent speaker and a premium cost. When connected to Wi-Fi, you get new updates so hopefully that feature is added in the future. Also, it would be cool if the eyes showed more than just white. The eyes move and show different ‘attitudes’ depending on what Spider-Man is saying but it would be nice to see other things happening like colorful explosions or story-related clips.
Overall, if you are a big Spider-Man or superhero fan, I recommend adding this item to your collection.

After testing out the Jaybird FREEDOM 2 headphones over the past 2 days, I have found both positive and negative features. First things first, the sound that emits out of these tiny earbuds is pretty good and can be adjusted on the fly using a variety of options when paired with the Jaybird smartphone app. I compared the sound from these headphones with another wireless set that I own and the Jaybird gets a definite win. The battery life is also pretty good with the included clip-on battery pack to keep the music playing for hours. Since I don’t wear rubber-tipped in-ear buds that often, it took me a while to get used to putting them in properly to get the right sound. When tucked into your ears correctly, the noise cancellation works well to drown out all of your surroundings. However, I noticed some microphonics- the thumping or rustling sounds you hear in the headphones when you are moving around or the cord is touched or jostled. I also was unable to wear them for long periods of time since they didn’t always feel 100% comfortable to me. I know many people use this style of wireless earbuds so it may be just me who feels this way. Overall, I would recommend them to anyone that likes the rubber in-ear buds along with wanting good noise cancellation and variable sound settings.

Good Router if you have the Killer Network

I currently have a router that came with an additional ‘satellite’ to get an extended whole home connection. The main router is connected to the modem in my living room and the satellite is placed in my basement where my gaming desktop and PS4 are located. I wanted to try out a router without the extra hub to see how its range would be in comparison. Being a ‘gaming’ router and comparably priced to my current router, I figured the Linksys WRT32X would be a good option for my setup.

The WRT32X is fairly easy to setup. There is a 6-step guide to get you up and running. Connect the 4 antennas, plug into your modem, and turn it on. On a computer, I was able to just select it within my ‘network and internet settings’ and it was up and running. As it states in the description, the Linksys has the ability to connect with the Killer network to provide a faster ping for those with gaming rigs. Unfortunately, I found out my computer does not have the Killer network so I was unable to test that out but I had no issue when running games using this router. I won’t go into all the specs, but I have about 11 devices connected to Wi-Fi and this router is able to designate which device should get priority over another.

Now back to the speed comparison….since the WR32X does not have an extra satellite to place in another room, there is a big difference in download speed. It may be unfair to compare a standalone unit with the ‘extra satellite included’ routers but, in my case, it’s important because of the distance of my gaming room from the modem/router. Obviously, the farther away you have the router, the lower the speed. However, without that comparison, the Linksys WRT32X is a great router to connect a large number of devices and also help prioritize for the gamer in the household.

It has two swappable canisters. One to dry vac the whole home. The other to mop only the hard floors. It will self-detect when to avoid carpets.

Can you stream the oculus quest on your tv? If yes, how?
Yes, you can use Chromecast. However, I have the Quest stream to my phone and then I have my phone streaming to my LG HDTV.

The sound comes from speakers built into the headset or you can plug in headphones also. The sound right out of the headset gives you virtual 360 sound, which is pretty cool.

How is this for watching regular video on youtube, Netflix, etc.?
It looks like you are a watching on a movie theater screen, but the quality is not 4K or anything near that. It is watchable though. Also YouTube VR videos are fun to watch.

This is a stand-alone VR. You do not need a PC, Xbox, PS4, etc to use it. It works all by itself.

It connects through WIFI. You can't stream videos without an internet connection, unless the movie is already installed on the Quest.
