Perfect drone for the perfect shot
on July 17, 2022
Posted by: Crasher
The DJI mini 3 pro is the perfect on the go drone for your on the go needs. This drone packs quite a bit of options while offering 4k quality. The added upgraded remote with built in screen means you no longer have to worry about compatibility issues with your phone acting as a piggy back screen.
The DJI mini 3 offers so many features for your streaming or photo needs that it would take up way to much space to go over them in all their entirety. I will try to focus on some of the key features that i felt helped it stand out. So right out of the gate rather your new to flying drones or an expert the DJI mini offers a free app that allows you to store and edit your footage. But besides that it also offers tutorial videos which help coach you in the way of basic and advanced features and videography. Charge time takes about almost 2 hours for a full charge and based on your settings you will get about 20 mins of run time. It does offer manual and automatic take off and landing however with the automatic return home feature you need to make sure that the drone has a clear path or it will not properly land. Speaking of which there was actually a few times i tried to use the auto return when hiking in the woods and the surrounding trees caused it to just pretty much give up and hover there forcing me to put it in sport mode and manually bring the drone home. There are 3 different modes available for flying offering 3 different styles. First is cinematic mode. In this mode the drones speed, pitch and yaw are all reduced allowing for smoother transitions and the cameras recording gets ramps up its picture quality. This mode allows for the cleanest most picturesque shots. Normal mode allows for the drone to utilize alot of the automated features and quite honestly feels like it should be labeled beginner mode due to all the over riding it does. Sport mode allows for full hands on deck manual controlling of the drone and maxes out the speed allowing you to keep up with all the fast pace action you are trying to capture. The app does have a "find my drone feature" which will give you a gps pinpoint location of its latest ping. The heads up display on the remote offers a google maps style layout which also shows some of the local no fly zones, however keep in mind it does not label all no fly zones so it is your responsibility to be aware of them. If you get too close to the no fly zones the drone will limit its altitude and speed. As far as max altitude and distance this is very heavily dependent of signal strength and interference. In the city parks i was able to get about half a mile out with a altitude of about 3000 feet. Now when i was out at a buddies ranch where his nearest neighbor was 3 miles down, i got a range of almost 4 miles out with a peak altitude of 5000 feet roughly. Keep in mind everyone's rang is going to vary however these were the two noticeable differences i saw. City flying definitely sucked as there was just way too much radio interference. Now as far as creator content goes this drone offers quite a bit of features and i am going to touch on just a few to give you a idea of what this drone is capable of. Active track is one feature that i used quite a bit. Within active track you can highlight people or cars that you would like the drone to track. You can manually set your distance then chose how you want the drone to track. On this feature you can chose to track the object through parallel or trace. With parallel the drone will fly alongside you automatically while avoiding obstacles along the way. Trace allows the drone to follow behind the highlighted object while avoiding obstacles as well. This feature eliminates the need for a hands on control to get your intended shots. Keep in mind that while it does have obstacle avoidance it is still prone to hitting objects so it really is best to use this feature in a open environment. Another feature that thought was pretty cool was its spiral shot. After highlighting the intended object and setting your distance the drone will spiral around the intended object while either gaining altitude and decreasing altitude. Combining this the cameras true vertical angles means you can really get some nice features for photo editing.
Overall this is a awesome drone that is very compact and very light offering easy on the go storage. The price tag may seem hefty but when you really get in to all the AI features you soon learn it is money well spent. I have uploaded a shot i took in the mountains just to highlight its quality. Both the drone and remote do need a high speed micro SD card. And while it is not necessary to have a sd card in both of them to store footage it is necessary that the SD card be a high speed card. If you are looking to get the perfect shot for your stream or if you are a photographer trying to get those perfect wedding photos than this is a no brainer and a must have.

Flip book designed with quality in mind
on June 16, 2022
Posted by: Crasher
If your looking for versatile on the go without having to sacrifice quality then Asus has got you covered. Note books have been nothing new but what separates this piece from the rest is what you don't see. Besides a sleek and well built chassis the hardware that is packed in here is probably some of the best you can find in a notebook style laptop.
Out of the box first impression of the unit was very apparent that alot of love went in to the quality of the design. The unit is a little on the chunky side and has some weight to it however the billet aluminum housing boast a nice sleek quality design while the hinges have a sturdy feel to them which is sure to boast countless use before degradation sets in. Let's talk about some of the features this unit packs and how you can expect it to affect your day to day tasks.
-Intel evo i7 processor. This processor allows for smooth multi-tasking with very little down time in between. When doing zoom meetings the ease of live streaming while presenting business charts and videos in between to show sales growth moved flawlessly. Never once did the cpu load up more than 50%. The cpu took it with ease almost asking for more. One of the biggest issues i would experience when live presentations were necessary through zoom meetings was higher than normal cpu load stress which would lead to higher temps and rough load times. Speaking of cooling this moves over to the next best feature
- Dual fan heat pipes. With Asus's "IceCool Plus" dual heat pipe design cooling temps never reached more than 58°C on the cpu side and gpu temps were a steady 67°C under load. Im not going to pretend to know the design behind their "IceCool Plus" technology but what i do know is that it is the coolest running and quietest design i have ever encountered. Nothing special stands out as it uses a dual 91 blade fan with two heat pipes which is about standard now. However under heavy load the unit never got too hot to handle and never once came close to throttling down. Only a select few times did it break the 60 mark. This ensures that you can push this unit to limit and it will hang.
-Intel Arc GPU. This is a feature that actually drew me to this unit. Asus has implemented Intel's newest GPU and basically first real GPU which is exciting to see how it performs among the big competitors such as Nvidia and AMD. Intel's newest Arc design ran flawlessly putting down TimeSpy scores around the 3900 to 4000 mark. Temps were considerably low and combined with the with 2.8k OLED display at 120hz picture quality is phenomenal to say the least. Artistic design and video quality pop with all colors vibrantly being displayed. The true black feature ensures that you get that perfect picture your trying to design or display with adequate depth design. What this means is if you plan on using this for drafting purposes or creator content, whatever design you have envisioned will easily be brought to life with no detail lacking. And yes with these specs it can handle PC gaming even though it wasn't specifically designed for it. Although don't expect to to be able to run Ultra settings.
-Battery life. Battery life was very long and depending on what i was using it for and load, i usually got anywhere between 10 to 12 hours of run time. Full charge was done in a little over a hour which is not bad at all.
-16GB DDR5/ 1TB SSD. The 16GB of DDR5 ram ensures your getting some of the latest tech to handle that quick access between tabs and multi tasking. What this means is as your switching between displays and different windows you have opened, there will be almost very little to no load time. The SSD memory means not only do you have no noise from a disk but you get faster load times which allows you to access more programs at lighting speed. These two combined features almost make it a must in this industry especially if your looking to use this set up from a design or buisness stand point.
Other than that most of the other features or pretty much standard. The keys offer a nice feel to them with some limited RGB lighting. The speakers are decent enough for you to hear whats coming through. The IR camera does a good job at adding another level of security while also offering great picture quality for zoom meetings. You do have thunderbolt however you only have hdmi 2.0 which was a little strange that wasn't upgraded. Overall this is a great buy and once received you will be able to easily tell that time and quality was definitely invested when designing this newest flagship.

Keeping your home spotless is simple with the Tineco Pure One S11 Dual Smart Stick Cordless Vacuum Cleaner. Its patented iLoop technology detects dirt and dust and automatically adjusts the suction and roller speed accordingly, so you don’t have to manually select a mode or power level. The vacuum does the thinking for you, and the battery lasts longer as well. And with up to 40 minutes of run time, you can clean every room without having to stop and recharge. Additionally, the ring on the onboard color LED screen changes from red to blue when it picks up all dirt. The LED display and app monitor your progress, battery status, and function performance. They also alert you when the dust sensor needs attention, or the air channel needs to be cleared. The incredibly versatile Pure One S11 Dual can go anywhere with two brush heads included. The motorized Anti-Tangle Brush Head, perfect for carpets, is designed to vacuum hair without losing suction and avoid hair wrapping around the brush roll. The full-size motorized Soft Brush Roller is ideal for hard surfaces such as wood, laminate, and tile. Both have LEDs that light the way as you clean. Also included: mini power brush, 2-in-1 duster brush, and crevice tool. If you have a furry friend, Pure One S11 Dual takes care of pet cleaning on all types of floors as well as stairs, furniture, drapes, upholstery, or car interiors. It easily converts to a handheld vacuum to get into those hard-to-reach places.

Great suction power
on June 5, 2022
Posted by: Crasher
The Tineco Pure One comes with just about every attachment that you will need to tackle any job you may have in mind. And while the cordless stick feature may be a nice addition to have, this may not fit the needs of everyone.
So out of the box your going to get everything you need to get you started. You get the main unit, battery, filters, different attachments, wall mount charger and screws. Mounting the unit is very easy and can be done under 10 minutes with the right tools. Charge time on a completely dead battery took about 3 hours and yielded me about roughly 40 minutes of run time. The unit does have a LCD screen display which looks very sleek and elegant and acts as the information heads up center. The LCD will light and display a issue it may have such as brush roller tangled, air channel blocked or dust sensor malfunction. Now it will not tell you in plain english if it has a problem, rather it will give you a symbol instead so it is your duty to keep the owners manual on you or memorize the symbols. The outer ring on the LCD screen will light up blue or a pinkish/red color based on what the suction sensors detect. Blue ring means the floor is clean where as red will indicate more than normal dust detected. The power button has a trigger style set up and can be manually controlled by squeezing the trigger or can by locked in to place by moving a switch. When locked in to place the unit will stay running until switched off. I dont want to go in to detail about all the attachments as they can easily be found by best buy's information tab. What i do want to say is that it does come with a pet friendly suction which will not tangle up the brushes leading to not have to cut pet hair out. The waste bin easily dumps with the push of a button and does a very good job at empty most if not all the waste leading you not to have to stick your hand in the bin to pull the rest out. There are two suction modes on the unit as well, Auto and Max. When placed in to auto mode the unit will operate on low power which prolongs battery life and keeps the unit quite. When it detects hard to reach dirt or debris it will automatically switch to max mode which increases suction power and noise as well. One thing i will say is that when it is put in to Max mode you can definitely feel the difference. The vacuum becomes harder to push and feels like its yanking on the carpet.
Here's my take away from this unit. This is a awesome set up for someone looking to add something to a business or small restaurant. If your needing to clean up a quick spill or do a quick vacuum before you open up without the hassle of cables then this set up comes to the rescue. The low battery life means that this unit would not make an ideal main vacuum for anyone living in a residential home over 2500 square feet. More than that if you have more than one long haired pet this units trash bin and filters will struggle to keep up. What ends up happening is the waste bin fills up within 5 minutes of vacuuming carpet filled hair which leads you to having to empty it more often. Not just that but the air filter gets plugged easier which leads to an error display on the LCD screen. And no you can not just ignore it because when the unit goes in to max suction mode the filter will not allow the air to flow properly due it being plugged and will shut the unit off. This means you not only have to empty the waste bin more often but also clean out the air filter multiple times in one cleaning. Im speaking as a person who owns two German Shepherds and lives in a 3000 square foot home fyi. Other than that is a awesome unit that does the job very well at what is was designed to do. The strong suction power means that you rest assured that you will get a deep clean. The LCD ring will also help in the aid of deep cleaning by allowing you to know if you missed a spot by lighting up red for you. All in all this is a great unit just make sure its the right fit for the area of intended use.

Noise be gone
on May 26, 2022
Posted by: Crasher
The Sony LinkBuds are awesome solution to a discrete new way to listen to music all without sacrificing sound quality. The noise canceling technology does a phenomenal job of filtering out unwanted noise while delivering a sound quality that could rival some of the better over the ear designs out there.
Out of the box you get everything you need to get you started. Usb-C cable, charging case, earbuds, and different ear tips. They give 4 different ear tip sizes which is a big plus as proper fitment is so vital on in the ear set up. If the buds do not fit proper then sound quality will bleed out and outside noise pollution will bleed in. Full charge of the case took a little under a hour while full charge on the earbuds themselves was done in about 30 mins. Once proper fitment was accomplished and the equalizer dialed in i was impressed with what i received from these buds. The noise suppression and sound quality were almost equal to my Sony over the ear WH-1000XM3. Very little noise pollution got through with noise cancellation set to max settings. Sound quality was so crisp and clean that i could hear every bit of instrument from the deep bass drums up to the high hats. Never once did i feel either one sound over powered another nor were my vocals coming in distorted or filled with cross over noise from the noise cancellation. Through Sony's free Sound app you have access to a few different options. You can set what your action buttons do i.e. single and double tap left ear bud. You also have the ability to adjust your sound quality with the apps own equalizer. But where it really shines is in its different option set ups for noise cancellation. You can turn on 'adaptive sound control' which will track your daily activities via GPS and will learn your patterns and automatically adjust ambient sound control based on whats around you and what activities you are participating in. You also have access to 'Speak-to-Chat' which will pick up when you are talking or if someone is talking directly to you and will turn off noise cancellation in order for you to carry on a conversation. After about 10 seconds or so without talking noise cancellation goes back in to effect. You also have access to 360 spata sound pending the fact that you have a active account with a provider, if not no biggie the app will direct you to a few providers where you can sign up. Prices will vary.
Sony has come a long way with the technology in their earbud sets. This has to be one of the best sounding in the ear buds i have ever heard or owned hands down. At the price point these ear buds come in at i feel it is worth it given everything you get from the earbuds and app. One side note to mention about these ear buds is that i would not recommend them to sleep in. The earbuds are very uncomfortable when laying down and if you are looking for a earbud set up you can sleep in while playing white noise to help you sleep i would say you need to pass on this setup and find something else. Other then that this set up is almost guaranteed to please just about most audiophiles out there.

Great gaming laptop, if you can stand the heat.
on January 20, 2022
Posted by: Crasher
from littleton, Colorado
The MSI Delta 15 is a out of the box ready gaming laptop that is here to rival Nvidia's 30 series. They offer some of the greatest and latest tech but seem to fall short in a few small areas. Regardless of what your preference is when it comes AMD or Nvidia this gaming laptop is sure to handle any AAA gaming you throw at it.
The Delta 15 offers a nice sleek and simplistic look to its design. It doesn't have that typical over the top look that most gaming laptops have and at first glance most people won't even know that it is a gaming laptop. You will get four usb 3.2 ports, with two of them being a type C, a 3.5mm audio port and a hdmi port. You will also find that there is no ethernet jack and connection to the internet is done wirelessly. The 15" FHD display offers a nice quality picture with very smooth transitioning at 240hz. High pace FPS games such as COD, or Apex will offer clean frame rates with no screen tearing or ghosting. The keys are backlight with adjustable colors for those that prefer rgb lighting. The scroll pad as removed the left and right button in favor of the piece design. Not a big deal as your going to want a separate mouse anyways for your high pace shooters. Battery life will yield about 10 hours on normal settings and about 6 to 8 hours with everything maxed out. There are no biometrics for security such as a fingerprint scanner of facial recognition. Let's talk about the hardware for a second cause this is one the things that stood out to me right out of the gate. The laptop is utilizing AMD's Ryzen's 5800H processer which comes in at 3.2ghz or 4.4ghz when boosted, paired with its Radeon RXX 6700 gpu. It's base clock speed is a little low for a gaming laptop in my opnion however it can be ramped up to 4.4 ghz however at max throttle, temps climb and they climb fast. I have owned several gaming laptops and i understand that cooling is always a issue due to the compact space that everything has however this laptop has to be one the hottest running laptops i have every owned. GPU temps were maxing out in the high 80s with most temps staying around 88°C. The bottom of the laptop was so hot there was absolutely no way i could have this placed on my lap. Worst of all the temp was transition its way to the keys and temps could be felt with each key stroke. Although i was sure performance would throttle down it never did and temps seemed to remain under control even though they ran high. Also when the dual fans come on they are noisy to the point of needing headphones just to blur them out. The Delta 15 also comes equipped with a 1TB ssd hard drive which makes booting done in a matter of seconds and allows for quicker load times of games. There is an additional m.2 slot which is nice to add some more memory. One thing that kinda stood out was the fact that this unit having some of the latest and greatest features is still running gen 3 PCIe instead of gen 4. Its not that big of a deal as i have a full gen 4 set up and performance difference between the two is very minimal however just weird to see they wouldn't upgrade to the latest and newest. Let's talk gaming performance for a sec. When AAA games was a breeze and never once did i feel the Delta 15 couldn't handle it. Even though the screen does not support AMD's Freesync technology (which is kind of weird that it wouldn't) all games ran smooth with framerates sitting at around 60 fps with max settings on games like God of War or Horizon. My 3DMark timespy test came back with a score of 7982 which all things consider was not half bad for a laptop.
Here's the bottom line. If your looking for a gaming laptop right out of the box and your not too tech savvy this may be the way to go for you. It's going to give you the upper edge with its 240hz monitor and the hardware that is packed in here is going to insure that you run just about everything that is out there. Future proof wise, this set up should be good for the next 5 years. The fact that you can add more memory to give you some wiggle room in the way of expansion is a nice feature as well. However keep in mind this laptop runs very hot and is very noisy. If you do proceed with the purchase of this unit you may want to invest in a separate bottom mount cooler and separate keyboard and mouse set up. For those of you that know what you want and have been in the PC gaming world for awhile you may want to look elsewhere. The fact that the processor has a max speed of 4.4ghz gives you limited ability to max out your settings. The lack of this unit being PCIe 4 means that your probably not going to be able to upgrade DDR5 even if you wanted to. The fact that your only given 1 additional m.2 slot means your going to have to pay a premium if you want to upgrade your memory. With most games coming out now being close to 50 gigs and up this means your going to run out of space fast or your going to have to pay a arm and a leg for a 4TB SSD. This is still a great gaming laptop but these are a few things to keep in mind when considering purchasing this unit.

Lightening fast printing speeds
on January 1, 2022

The HP laser jet printer printer offers office style printing speed in a compact and sleek design. Rather or not your printing multiple documents at a time or just the occasional term paper this printer is sure to get the job done in a matter of seconds no matter what the task is at hand.
Out of the box you can expect to get the main unit, power cable and imaging unit. For those who have not owned a ink jet printer this set up uses one single imaging unit in place of toner cartridges. Keep in mind this unit is a black and white printer and does not print in color. Connection is made via your home or local wifi and from there documents can be printed from your phone, tablet, or pc all via the same wifi connection. Set up is done through the free app and only takes a matter of minutes to complete. What stood out to me most and honestly has me the most impressed with this unit is how small it is. It is literally half the size of my HP office pro printer which uses ink toners. And even though it doesn't printer in color i still prefer to use this printer due to the fact that most days im printing black and white documents anyways and prefer the speed this printer puts out. HP also claims up to 8,000 prints before the imaging unit should need replacing. This printer like most HP printers offers HP + which allows for easier transition for warranty claims, firmware updates, health check reports and allows for you to sign up for automatic imaging unit replacement and disposals. The paper tray is bottom fed and does not have a separate tray to conceal your fresh sheets. Print quality is very crisp and clean with absolutely no dry times. There are no run offs or breaks as you would see in a typical toner set up and does not require alignment or a ink jet blow out for monthly maintenance.
At the end of the day this a very basic ink jet printer but that is not a bad thing. You buy a laser jet printer in order to print multiple pages within seconds instead of minutes and without having to worry about the hassle of blowing through ink cartridges like crazy. As a person who is in management and has a wife in real estate i can say that we are both constantly using the printer and going through ink every month. This printer has definitely cut down time waiting on papers and im sure is going to save me cost on buying ink every month. The fact that this printer is now as affordable as a standard printer has me wonder why anyone would want anything else unless your looking for color.

Great do it yourself home security
on November 26, 2021

from littleton, Colorado
The Simplisafe home security system is a great set up for those looking to add some piece of mind to their homes safety and who want to avoid the hassle of running wires. And while this does require some minor drilling for the mounting bracket there is really nothing that would require the aid of a handy man.
Let's talk about what you expect to receive out of the box. Your going to get the main base unit (which is the only unit wired into a wall outlet), two outdoor wireless cameras, two rechargeable batteries for the cameras, three door sensors, one wireless keypad (double batteries are included), and a key fob. Mounting and set up of the unit is very easy and everything is done via the free downloadable app. The three door sensors are easily mounted to any door via the provided tape. The two outdoor cameras have a base plate and that is the only piece that needs some minor drilling to mount. Simply drill two holes, hammer in the anchors and screw in the mounting plate via the two provided screws. You will need to either borrow or buy a drill and drill bits however the anchors and screws are provided of course. Once mounted the magnetic base simply twist on and then the cameras are attached via magnets. The wireless cameras took about 2 hours to charge and according to Simplisafe should yield about 3 months of run time pending your settings and traffic. So far after being a week in the cameras still have a full charge which is something i would hope to expect still. The cameras have a built in two way mic, floodlight, and siren. The two way mic kinda sucks and audio pretty much requires you to put your phone directly up to your to really hear anything. The floodlight built in to the camera is a nice feature to have as it can serve two purposes. One, it deters would be criminals away and two it serves to light a entry path if you arrive home after dark. The flood light can be adjusted via the settings through the app. As of right now the only setting for the spotlight is brightness. The cameras do record in 1080p picture quality and night vision is just as good as you would expect to see from night vision. Through the settings you can also chose to set up how active the motion sensor is and can also set up a grid so that motion is only detected in a certain area if you live in a high traffic area. One nice feature i liked about the cameras is you can adjust how sensitive it is as well as what it decides to pick up on. Right now there are currently only two options, people and all motion. And let me say it does a really good job at ignoring cars and picking up on people only if you chose the people only option. There are sirens built both in to the base station and cameras. The sirens can be turned off and are definitely loud enough to get the attention of your neighbors. I could be wrong but i believe last i checked the siren at its max setting was around 95 decibels. Through the app or keypad you can also adjust settings for your base station. Some of the settings you can currently adjust are chime volume which is the sound it makes everytime a door is open. You can also adjust volume for the voice prompts for the base station which alert you everytime the system is armed. There are a few security features you can adjust as well such as how long it takes to arm the alarm, how much time you have to disarm the alarm, and how long the siren will sound before it shuts off. The keyfob can be attached to your keys which allow for quick arming and disarming of the system without having to use the keypad. The keypad is mounted anywhere of your chosing and is mounted via the provided tape as well. And while the keypad does not have a rechargeable battery they do provide the AA batteries required to power it on. The keypad shuts off when not in use so in all reality the batteries should last over a year. The keypad serves as another access point to arm and disarm the alarm system and also comes equipped with a panic button. On the top of the keypad there is a red button that when pressed down and held for about 4 seconds it will automatically trip the alarm sirens and contact Simplisafe support team.
Let's talk briefly about the alarm side of this since that is the main reason your planning on buying this. As far as alarms go this is probably by far the easiest and most user friendly do-it-yourself alarm system i have ever seen. Once all the hardware is set up activating the alarm system is done through the app and can be completed in a matter of minutes. You will be prompted to set up a password for your keypad as well as a paraphrase in the event your alarm goes off and they need to verify you. You can also set up and add primary and secondary contacts which are alerted in the event that alarm goes off. If the alarm goes off these contacts will be called before the police are dispatched so make sure they know your paraphrase password. You can also set up push notifications for your phone which will alert you when the alarm is armed, disarmed, triggered, and when there is motion. With this being a security system expect there to be a payment plan and expect to pay for it. While Simplisafe does offer a free plan, the free plan offers very little in the way security. You basically get the ability to arm and disarm the system with the use of the siren function, and thats about it. In the event that the alarm goes off no police will be called and video footage will be stored so it basically forces you in to a monthly payment. However don't get discouraged by this as most good systems are going to require a plan. And as someone who currently has a security plan from another company i can personally attest to Simplisafe plan being one of the cheapest out there. There are different plans ranging from $9.99 a month up to $24.99 a month. The fact that there is no added contract also means you can come and go as you please with these plans. I opted for the more expensive plan as it provided more for the service including video monitoring to help assist police in the event of a break in. Video monitoring allows you to give Simplisafe the option to monitor your cameras ONLY in the event the alarm is triggered. This will help dispatchers alert the police as to wear exactly in the house the intruders are as well as alerting you where they are also so that you can keep a safe distance. If you do opt in for a payment service then all motion recordings will be saved allowing you to go back and view your recordings whenever you like. Another nice feature i like about this set up is the built in sirens in the cameras. My current alarm set up only triggers the alarm on the base station which means that not everyone may hear it depending their location in the house. However with the Simplisafe when the alarm is triggered the base station sounds along with the cameras alerting everyone in the house as well as the neighbors and also alerting the intruders that they just tripped the alarm. There is nothing worse then having a intruder break in to your home and them not being able to even hear the alarm. If you want some more added features then worry not as Simplisafe does provide add ons which can be bought via their website. You can buy glass break sensors, additional sirens, motion sensors, indoor cameras, video doorbells, smart locks, temp sensors (which alert you if it gets too cold to avoid bursting pipes), water sensors, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors which will trigger the alarm and call the fire department in the event it picks up on either one. In the event that your alarm is triggered for any reason Simplisafe will call you first to make sure it wasn't a false alarm. If they can reach you or any of your contacts then the proper authority will be dispatched if you signed up for a payed plan.
Here's my take away from this set up. As someone who has owned a payed alarm plan for the last 5 years i can honestly say this is one of the better sets up i have seen. So much so that i am currently debating rather or not to leave my old company. There is however only one gripe i have with this set up that my other plan has over Simplisafe and that is the lack of a alarm schedule. My current alarm system allows me to set up a alarm schedule so that i can set it and forget it. For example i have my current alarm set up to automatically to arm my system everyday at 11pm and automatically disarm it at 5AM in the morning. This means if i forget to arm it then no worries as it has me covered but more importantly it means that on my day off i don't have to get up early to disarm my alarm system so that my kids don't set it off in the morning when they get up at 7am to let the dogs outside. With the Simplisafe alarm system i have to make sure my kids know the alarm code and more importantly know how to disarm the system before letting the dogs out or else the alarm will go off. For me this is the one and only draw back that is stopping me from dropping my old security system and the only reason i did not give it five stars. Other then that if you can look past that key area then this is a great value and a great way to go in the way of personal home security.

Headed in the right direction

The Google Pixel 6 Pro is not holding back with its latest addition to its line up. Its obvious that the Pixel 6 is aimed to bring you all the amenities you are used to seeing with all the other big providers at a price point that is still very competitive in this market. And while its very similar to just about most phones out on the market, there are a few features that do set it apart.
First things first. A couple things to keep in mind with the pro series is the fact that price is going to vary based on storage size for the phone. With 128 gig being the most economical value and 512 gig being your top tier price point. Google did away with the addition of a SD card meaning no external storage can be added. Due to this its best to see just how much storage you are currently using now on your current phone and use that info to base off your buying decision. There is also no 3.5mm audio jack which in this day and age just about everything is bluetooth anyways. Charging is done through the usb-c port or via a docking station. Full charge from 15% health was completed in about 45 mins and run time on a full charge yielded roughly a day a half with light usage.
So what sets this phone apart? Well theres not much that sets it apart except for a few quirks like the ability to erase people from photo bombing your photo. At least that how it looks on the outside. Reality is there are alot of little things that really do set it apart and make it feel like a breath of fresh air. For starters, when you first sign on to the Pixel 6 pro, its UI system makes it very easy and user friendly to set up a existing Google account or set up a new account. Rather your an existing Android user or your new to the family the transition through the set up was very easy. Every phone has a new user set up that walks you through the phone showing you all its key features, etc. The main difference was the Pixel did a smoother job at it making it easier for even my grandparents to get it. The biometrics scanner even feels more reliable and accurate. One nice key feature i liked was how the thumb print would light up letting you know your placement was right. The fact that this is a Google phone means that your phone and Google assistant will automatically link up to all your Google products. Let's talk about some of the bigger things that really add some polish to this phone, such as the auto translate. The Pixel allows the translate settings to be turned on in a few different ways. Through the phones camera you can scroll over texts such as menus or business cards that have a foreign language on them and it will auto translate for you. If you are texting someone there is no need for them to translate their message as your Pixel will do it automatically. When a foreign text comes in on your phone the Pixel automatically translates it for you based on the language you chose. Your text messages will appear in your language going out however to the person on the receiving end of the text message it will appear in there language so that both parties need not do anything else. Keep in mind this feature needs to be activated first. There is also a recorder that allows for direct translation should you find yourself having a face to face conversation. The AI system has also greatly improved. The Google assistant can do all the things you are already used to doing such as sending out text messages, setting reminders, etc all while using your voice. However on the Pixel lets say you call a business and have to go through a automated system to get you to where you need to be. You can put the phone down and have your assistant transcribe the automated system in to real time via the face of the screen. This will appear as a text message across the screen allowing you to multi-task on something else so that you dont have to have the phone glued to your ear. Oh hey guess what? Do you hate waiting on the phone till your place is next in line to talk to a operator? Well the Pixel will prompt a hold for me button for you to press that will hold your place in line. The way it works is lets say your number 13 in line to talk to someone. Press the 'Hold for me' button, put your phone in your pocket and go about your day. When your number is up next and a operator is on the line your phone will start to ring or vibrate letting you know someone is on the phone finally. I was actually really blown away by this feature personally as i spend lots of time on phone calls.
Now the camera does have some nice features that do set it apart however there are some that just feel like a gimmick. The camera does offer some very nice 4k shots and does allow for alot of customization. There is a cinema mode that allows for smoother, slow motion effects to give you more dramatic effects in your film. There are also improvements in the video stabilization features which allow you to zoom all the way in to a location allowing almost no shaking giving you most stable and cleanest photo or video you can possible get while in full zoom. You can also add motion blur shots which allow you to choose what you focus on and what blurs around it. You also have the ability to do just about what most other phones can do such as 360 shots, 4k recording, red eye removal and much more. The Pixel 6 boast its magic eraser stating that it can remove people or objects from a photo allowing for the perfect scene. And while it can do what it claims, the photo ends up looking like a poorly edited picture. What i mean is that whenever a object or person is removed from a photo the AI system has to fill that empty spot in with something. It takes the background around that object and pretty much blends in the colors together to complete the empty space. The problem is your left with a photo that you can clearly tell has been altered. Im not saying this feature is worthless just that it simply doesn't do a clean job with it. I have uploaded 2 photos so that you can see exactly what im talking about. In one photo there is a picture of a dog with a persons leg in the photo. In the second photo the leg was removed and you can see how the photo has been altered.
Here's my personal thoughts. The phone can do alot more and to write about every single feature would take up lots of space. These are the key features that stood out and made it really shine as its own entity. The Google assistant is hands down way better than Samsungs Bixby by a long shot and is about up to par with Siri. There are some cool little quirks with it that are nice like the fact that the phone will pick up on what song is playing in the background at the department store your in and display the artist and title on the bottom of your screen. The AI system combined with Google assistant finally start to make the phone actually feel like a smart phone and with the price point coming in at 3 different prices this allows for a perfect budget to fit most people. If your looking to try something different that wont break the bank or if your looking for a phone that just feels like it has some intelligence to it then this may be the phone for you. There is much this phone can do that you have already seen before. But there still some things this phone has to offer that you may have not yet seen.

An electric shaver that cuts as close as a razor
on November 4, 2021

The Phillips Norelco 9500 is not the same shaver that your dad or your granddad used. The Phillips Norelco shaver has utilized old school shaving with integrated modern day tech. The biggest problem with electric shavers i have experienced are in two key areas. They always seem to snag on the hairs and pull them also they never seem to provide a close shave as razor blades do.
At first glance there really appears to be nothing new about this shaver that i haven't already seen. However most of the upgrades come from what can't be seen. Norelco integrated something i haven't seen before and to be quite honest it's something i didn't realize i was doing wrong. They integrated their SenseIQ technology which basically lights up to let you know if your pressing too hard or too soft to ensure that you get the best cut possible. But more then that their IQ technology can also sense the coarseness and density of your facial hair and adjust its cutting speed to ensure a proper cut which actually results in fewer passes and less irritation. Speaking of which this was one area i was very surprised in. It only took two passes to get a smooth baby like skin cut which resulted in a very noticeable reduction in skin irritation. My skin has always been a little more on the sensitive side and electric shavers usually resulted in razor bumps due to the irritation it would cause. So far the Norelco electric razor has cut just as clean if not cleaner than my razor blade and i have yet to notice any skin bumps as a result of irritation. The built in flip up line trimmer is also a nice addition to have allowing me to to properly shape my beard lines without having to grab a separate trimmer. One really cool feature that comes with this trimmer that i really like is the cleaning pod and solution they provide. After each trim or however often you wish to do it, simply fill the cleaning pod with the cleaning solution and place the blades upside down in the solution. After running the shaver in the solution for a few minutes the blades are cleaned and sanitized allowing for another close clean cut. I guess over time we'll see how well it helps to maintain the blades however this a nice add on to have for sure. Charge time takes roughly about a hour and the handy little built in lcd screen on the shaver helps to assist in allowing you to see just how much battery life you have left this way you don't get caught off guard.
Here's the bottom line. If you have been in the market to break away from the traditional razor blade cut and are worried about getting the same smoothness or maybe have sensitive skin as i do then this is the shaver for you. This shaver has definitely been designed to give you the closest cut possible with out the razor burn. And to be honest electric shavers are known to give razor burn more often than a straight blade which is one of the main reasons i stopped using them. I can honestly say with confidence that the Norelco has restored my drive to want to go back to electric razors again. Don't settle for something cheaper. If your in the market for one do yourself a favor and check out the Norelco 9500.*

great travel size monitor

The Beurer Blood pressure monitor is a great on the go monitor for those needing to keep track of there blood pressure or those wanting to make sure they are within their optimal range for whatever their reason may be.
Out of the box you get everything you need to get you started including the main unit, cuff, travel bag and even 4 AA batteries, which is what the unit takes. The unit allows for setting up 4 different users. Measurements which can either be saved via manually on the unit or through the free Beurer app via Bluetooth. I will say Bluetooth set up was kind of a pain and not the most easiest to get it to connect as it kept giving me a connection lost message. However once connected blood pressure and heart rate readings are automatically sent to your app and are stored for easy comparison and health monitoring. The app is very simplistic in its form as it only allows for a few features. You can store your blood pressure and heart rate and the app will graph your progress for you so you can see how you are progressing through the years. The app also allows for additional readings to be stored such as weight, activity, sleep, SpO2, and temperature. As of writing this review there is no option to link your own devices to the app such as smart watches. There are only 2 ways to add additional data, either manually input your readings or you can buy additional devices from Beurer that will automatically send their results to the app. If the app is not your thing then all measurements can be stored and pulled back up via the main device. On the left side of the screen you will see 6 different color marks which a arrow will line up after your readings are taken to let you know where you fall in the way of blood pressure. The top mark represents severe hyper tension where as the bottom green mark represents optimal pressure.
All in all that's pretty much it, this unit is very basic in the way it functions. You get your systolic and diastolic readings along with heart rate. You have 4 different users you can add with the ability to bring up your previous reading. The compact size means that it can easily fit in a medium size purse or backpack. My only real gripe about the unit is the user interface on the main unit feels very clunky in the way of navigating different users and pulling up previous readings. You have to hit the buttons in a specific order to access what it is you want or else the unit will just keep shutting off. Other then that this is a great addition for those on the go who need to stay on top of their levels.

It’s easy to transform your home into a safe haven with SimpliSafe’s award-winning security system. Everything is simple to set up, effortless to use, and designed to do one thing only: keep your home and family safe. Outdoor security cameras let you see everything happening in full HD. So you can spot trouble before it comes knocking and capture the evidence if it does. And if someone tries to break in, the burglary sensors will sound the alarm right away. But that’s not all. Whenever your alarm goes off, we’ll call you and send police, firefighters, or ambulances to your door in a snap — and stay on the line with you until they arrive. So no matter where you are or what you’re doing, your home is protected 24/7.

How do the cameras attach to the house?

the outdoor cameras are attached via magnets to the base. The only item that requires 2 screws to mount is the base plate. Once the base plate is mounted then the cameras are attached and removed via magnets.

Do you have tonoay for monthly monitoring

you dont have to pay for a monthly subscription however keep in mind the free plan is very basic and i mean very basic. The free plan only allows for you to disarm and arm the system and allows the siren to go off if the alarm is triggered however they will not call the police and they will not allow for your video footage to be recorded. So it basically forces you in to a monthly plan but keep in mind there is no contract so you can cancel at any time.

does this camera system run on a 5g mhz speed wifi i have at&t fiber internet and my camera system that i have now BLINK only works off of 2.4 mhz speed .

Good question. On my Linksys it runs on the 2.4 band and as of right now there is no option on the Simplisafe app to move it over to the 5g band.

Can cameras be plugged into power while mounted to wall or do they have to be charged then put up. And pull down to charge when dead

So the wireless cameras can either be mounted wirelessly or hardwired in to a wall outlet. If you dont feel like charging the battery every month or so then you do have the option to wire them in as well. As far as charging goes the batteries are removable from the cameras so this way when it comes time to charge them you dont need to charge the whole camera unit just simply the battery pack.

Plug in a 3.5mm headset and take advantage of proven Turtle Beach audio features like Superhuman Hearing, Mic Monitoring, Signature Audio Presets and more. Win more with Pro-Aim Focus Mode, which tunes thumbstick sensitivity for enhanced long-range accuracy, and save up to four selectable profiles on each of the two, rear quick-action buttons. What are the triggers like on this controller? Are they like normal Xbox controller triggers with a long pull or do they use any trigger stops for a shorter pull?

The triggers can not be adjusted as you would find on a Astro controller. As far as pull goes it feels very similar to a xbox trigger pull and has medium senisitivity. The pull is not short but does not feel long either. Most actions seem to activate after about pulling a 1/4 of a inch.
