Gets the job done
on March 14, 2024
Posted by: Crasher
The Eufy x10 pro is your all in one personal maid. While it may not do the job as good as if you were to do it yourself it gets pretty close. With a high price point the real question becomes rather or not this is worth the buy.
Out of the box you get everything you need to get you started and the free downloadable app makes set up and adjustments that much more easier. If you ever owned a robotic vacuum your going to find that there are very many similarities as the other self vacuuming units on the market with a few given exceptions. Once you download the app and get it set up you then have the vacuum map your own house in which case it utilizes its built in sensing camera to draw up a floor plan on the app. You can then set zones, schedules and even determine the strength of suction. All of these items are pretty standard in just about most units on the market right now. I own a few self vacuuming units and it always seems to be hit or miss but one thing i have yet to find was a self vacuum unit and mop combo that actually does a decent job mopping and not just push the dirt around. For me where this item really shined was in two key areas and that was functionality and effectiveness. When put to work simply add clean water to fill line on the water tank and make sure the waste tanks are empty. When the unit starts cleaning the first brushes are the rollers for the vacuum which does a good job picking up dirt and pet hair. This was a big concern of mine as i own two big dogs and i was worried about the vacuum not picking up all the hair and mixing the hair with the mop heads. The unit did a great job sucking up all debris which allowed for the rearward mop heads to do its job effectively. Not only that but there was very little to almost no tangle in the rollers which meant i didn't have to stick my hands in there to clean out dirty pet hair. The next thing i really was impressed with was how tight it hugged the corners and how it tried so hard to scrub the floors with the mop heads. It was actually kind of funny to watch because when the unit detects more than normal debris it will actually work the mop heads side to side to get a better deep clean which makes the vacuum look like its wiggling its rear. When the unit detects that its waste container is full or the that the mop heads are dirty and no longer giving the best clean, it will return to its base for a quick pit stop. Once at its base it will actually use suction to remove the debris from the waste container and remove the waste water. It refills its water tank but also will clean its own mop heads ensuring that you are not just smearing dirt everywhere on your next pass.
So what makes it different than others out there? For me it truly is its effectiveness. This unit actually does a very good job at cleaning and not just smearing dirt around. Like i said earlier nothing replaces the human aspect of doing it yourself however this comes in at a strong second. The fact that the mop heads clean themselves and empties its own self means that there is very little to do in the way of clean up and maintenance on this unit. If you have pets and hardwood or porcelain floors then do yourself a favor and try out this unit.

Cleaner air with less mess
on February 20, 2024
Posted by: Crasher
The Shark NeverChange is a great air purifier for those looking to added a little more to a healthier lifestyle without the hassle of having to change air filters every 3 to 6 months. With its minimalistic yet sleek style the small stature insures that this purifier will not stand out like a sore thumb.
Set up of the unit is quick and very easy, quite honestly all that is required is simple removal of packaging. The unit comes with a spherical HEPA filter which acts as the main filtration, along with two collectors along the sides of the unit where air is drawn in. The collectors act as pre-filters which help gather bigger particles such as pet hair and dust. These pre-filters can be removed and washed which will help limit how fast the main filter gets plugged up. The purifier also comes with a added scent cartridge which can be added to give the room a nice smelling aroma. The scent pouch is adjustable insuring that you don't overwhelm a room with too much of a good thing. The front facing LCD screen will light up with three different colors depending on how bad the air quality is. Depending on your settings the forward facing LCD screen will also display either air quality in percentage form, i.e. 20%,100% so on, or it will display your PM (particulate matter) which is basically how much airborne particles are floating around in your given space. One thing to note is while this unit does filter particulates it does not filter or track gasses such as Radon, methane or other types of gasses that may be a concern. There are other VERY expensive units that will detect and filter out gasses but keep in mind this unit will not do that. This unit does allow you to set up child locks and does offer sleep timers as well. The auto function will also detect air quality and adjust your fan speed as necessary. The fan motor is very quite and even at the highest setting is still not loud enough to drown out my TV. Now as far as well it works, well lets just say it works very well. I have a daughter who has a pet cat that basically will not leave her room. Her room does not smell the best to say the least, due to the litter box and pet dander. After setting this up in her room the purifier turned RED right away and measured a air quality of 50% with a PM 1.0 measuring about 10. With the auto setting turned on the unit went right to work in full speed mode and after about 30 minutes air quality had jumped to 90% with no PM being measured even at the smallest amount. The air legitimately smelt cleaner and even almost left you with a crisp fresh sent as you breathed. I hate that i had to use my daughters room as a test subject but i love the fact that it actually did its job and it did it efficiently. Once air quality was brought up to 90% the auto feature then adjusted the fan speed down to the lowest setting as it no longer had to work as hard. As far as the claim of this being a 5 year filter, only time will tell. I do worry about how well the filter will last with people with pets, such as myself. But one thing i can attest to that brings me reassurance is that i own quite a bit of Shark products with all of them living up to their claims and being built to last. While the 5 year benchmark still remains yet to be tested, i can say confidently that this air purifier is a must have for pet owners and anyone looking to add a extra layer of protection against airborne particulates. A couple things to note at the time of writing this review. There is currently no available app to access any features and im not exactly sure if the filter is strong enough to filter airborne disease such as the common cold or covid. With that being said there definitely is a noticeable difference in air quality with this unit.

Earbuds tailored for how you listen
on November 24, 2023
Posted by: Crasher
The Denon wireless earbud at first glance is your typical in the ear design. You get everything you would expect to get out of the box including the self storage charging case and different pieces to help fit your ear the way it was meant to be.
My first impressions out of the box was the design of the ear bud. Im very simplistic and i like my earbuds to fit discreetly in my ear without being too noticeable. The round puck like design does tend to stand out more when listening to my music giving it less than a desirable aesthetic look for me. This is just a personal gripe for me but the larger design does help to create a better seal blocking out unwanted noise pollution. This in turn creates for a better experience when utilizing the built in ANC (Active Noise Cancelling) technology. Obliviously noise cancelling is going to be better with a over the ear design in my opinion, however these are probably one of the better ear buds for noise pollution cancellation. Low pitch sounds are easily cancelled out such as the roar of a automobile or noise of a bustling city. I will say that the higher wind of a jet engine on a plane does tend to bleed through a bit but nothing thats too noticeable. Background conversations amongst other people is where this shines the most as they tend to become almost non existence. But where this earbud really shines is in its audiophile. Most earbuds and headphones have a burn in time or break in period so one of the first things i like to do is take the stock settings and start playing music to see how they sound out of the box. Sound quality with no adjustments was average. Bass would hit but always seem to be lacking or weak and my lows seemed a bit drowned out by my vocals. Not a big deal since all settings need to be tailored made for each individual and this is where the buds truly shine. Through their Adaptive Acoustic Technology getting the settings just right is now all done via its automated system. Simply plant yourself in a quite room and the buds will perform is audio test which kind of reminded me of the hearing test you used to take as a kid. At this point it is checking to see how sound waves enter the ear and are received so it can tailor make a audio profile that is specific to the way you hear sound. There are alot of other ear buds that actually perform this task however very little noticeable difference is ever seen. That is not the case with the Denon. Once my audio profile was set everything changed and it was a good noticeable change. My bass became more punchy and hit hard but never to the point where it was drowning out other sounds. My lows and mids came in at a perfect well balanced level which properly complemented the vocals giving my songs new life. For songs that support Spatial Audio it was almost like i was hearing the same song for the first time as the music sounded more immersive and brought out new tones that i don't typically hear. The price point carried across this earbud set is for sure one of the more expensive price points as you could buy a nice set of over the ear headphones for this amount. This unit is geared for those people seeking a minimalistic approach all without sacrificing quality. And while it does come in at the higher end, you will absolutory get what you paid for.

The Dash Cam of many talents
on November 9, 2023
Posted by: Crasher
The Nextbase iQ smart dash cam offers all the standard benefits you can expect to see from your modern day dash cams along with some added security benefits. On the higher end of the price point it begs the question "Is this really worth it?"
Out of the box you get quite a bit of gear and hardware to set up the dash cam the way you want. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the different amount of hardware given to you which allows you some flexibility on how you want to run your set up. For example, you get the get main unit along with double sided mounting tape, the main 16 pin OBD II power cable, the provided SD card and about 3 different power cables to run directly to a dedicated fuse block. Whats a OBD II power cable? You car guys know what that is but for those that don't the OBD II connector, connects directly to your vehicles diagnostic port. This is the port that goes directly to your cars computer and location is going to very from vehicle to vehicle, so you may need to do a little digging to find the location. But with that being said most cars older than 1998 may not have this port, and Nextbase was smart enough to understand this and provided a variety of different fused cable wires that allow you to run directly to your vehicles fuse block. The only added thing you have to do is simply mount the ground cable directly to a good ground. Anyways i don't want to get deep in to the install as Nextbase does provide a installation video through their provided QR code walking you through this step by step. Don't worry it truly is not complicated at all. Diving right in to the features and quality of the video taken you will find some similarities to other dash cams and some added features that may help get you out of a bind. Video quality is superb during the day time and decent during night driving. During day time drive video quality is smooth with not stuttering and all footage is capatured in HD quality. Night time is good as well as the oncoming vehicle lights and street lights provided ample lighting however being parked in a low lit area the camera may struggle a bit. Parked outside my house the forward facing camera pretty much was useless as it struggled to pick up footage however the camera facing the Cab offered ample IR lighting and visibility was well enough to make things out. I will upload some photos to show this. The dash cam does also provided an additional port for you to run another rear facing camera, which you can purchase directly from Nextbase. This is for those of you looking to get some close up shots of whats going on behind the vehicle. The cam does detect battery voltage and will go in to sleep mode when it detects anything less than vehicle charging voltage. When in sleep mode it will monitor things based on your settings and send you push notifications should it detect something. In moments of detection the camera wakes up and the ring around the base will start to flash red and begin recording. Live recordings can be pulled up directly through the app regardless of your location however there are a few things to keep in mind. The vehicle is able to do this by using 4G/LTE so if the vehicle is in the mountains or any area where you struggle to get cell service, then you will struggle to pull the live video feed up and may not be able to pull it up all until signal strength gets better. Recordings are saved to the SD card so even if you can't pull live footage all events will still be saved. You have your standard impact settings which you can set how sensitive you want the camera to be when it detects impact, which once detected it will lock the footage and save it. Now there are some features that set this device apart and make it worth the price point. For starters you change modes all via voice commands which will allow your camera to adjust to a given situation. For example you say "hey dash cam, privacy mode on." The camera will flash blue as it receives your command then it will proceed to turn of the camera facing the passenger compartment allowing you some privacy. It will at the same time shut of audio recording so that your conversations can remain personal. One cool feature that i really like is witness mode. You can wake the camera up and tell it to go in to witness mode which at that point it will send a message to whoever you put in as a contact and will give them a link to the camera. At this point the 3rd party that you designated as a witness can see and hear everything that is going on live and be there with you to witness and help out by contacting authorities should anything seem off. This is great for people who have young drivers who may be getting pulled over or maybe got in to a fender bender at night. Through witness mode you can also pull GPS coordinates to know where your party is at as well. The unit does provide a EMS mode which when it detects a impact that may have resulted in bodily injuries it will automatically contact 911 or your local emergency services and allow a ping to be sent with your current GPS location. The dashcam has built in lcd screen which will pop up a icon showing a SOS icon and letting you know emergency services are being contacted for you. Where this unit really shined for me through its live second by second gps location, mph tracking and G-Sensor reading. Why i like this feature so much is cause when drive my vehicle it tends to stand out and grab the attention of local law enforcement. There have been times i feel i could of won court cases with some added information proving my point. Well this unit does just that. Let's say you get pulled over for speeding in a school zone when you know for a fact you were not. You can pull up the camera footage of said area you broke the limit and track you live speed with a gps map showing you step by step your movements along with speed which all sync up with camera recording. This means you can now physically show your speed and location along with camera footage all backing up your claims if you were wrongfully accused. And the fact that this unit hooks directly up to your vehicles diagnostic port means it is tapping in to hopefully the vehicles computer pulling live accurate data which will lend even more credibility to your claims, should you find yourself being wrongly accused. The accuracy of recording mph along with actual mph is dead on with a 2 +/- mph discrepancy from what i can see.
Overall this unit is a solid buy and well worth the price given what it is you are trying to use this for. If i had a 1990 toyota tercel that had 20 different colors of paint and 3 different tire sizes then i would would pass on this unit. However if you take pride in your vehicle and are looking for added eyes to a watch on your vehicle? Then Yes. Are you looking for some added evidence to take to court to help you win speeding cases? Yes, buy it. Have young drivers your worried about? Absolutely buy it. And if you are a uber driver, tow truck driver or any driver that deals directly with the public, then this a 100% must buy. With the roadwatch A.I. and guardian feature about to come out, this makes the unit even more desirable should it function the way its supposed to. One thing to mention that i forgot to add is the services are free however in order to truly benefit from the full features they do kind of force you in to a subscription plan with the lowest being $9.99 and the next tier being $19.99 in order to use the EMS feature. Still with that being said this is a very solid buy and well worth every penny.

The little helper that does it all
on November 6, 2023
Posted by: Crasher
The iRobot is your one stop shop little helper that is here to help tackle most task. While it excels at vacuuming carpet while leaving uniform lines it begs to ask the question how well does it perform while mopping hard surfaces?
Out of the box you get everything you need to help get you set up. Set up is done through the free app and no additional paid services are needed. Through the app you can choose a name for your little robot and birth date as well. But on a serious note the app allows more functional services such as designating cleaning schedules or areas that are off limits. You can check the status of the unit to see if its waste container is full and or if the unit gets stuck or runs in to any problems it will send you a push notification letting you know that it is in distress. Speaking of the waste bin, the i5 has a upgraded bin allowing more waste to be captured which is a plus for those of us that own pets. The rollers appear to be tangle free and so far the need to have to cut out hair from the rollers has not been an issue. The iRobot does use some type of smart sense technology which when it detects deep embedded dirt, it will actually go over the said area working itself back and worth trying to release the debris. When first setting up the unit it will initially run around the room in a very erratic kind of way, but what it is doing is trying to map out your floor plan and figure out where all its obstacles lay. This is a very key feature and important to note that once you place the home base you need to make sure you do not move its location as it can cause issues with the way the robot cleans. Once the floor plan is mapped you can see through the app the floor plan that was created for you. Lines will become more uniform leaving a side by side vertical pattern. Now this unit does double up as a floor mop robot as well and while i have not been impressed by how well any of the other manufacturers out there have performed, this design is definitely a cut above the rest. The biggest issue i have run into with floor mop robots is the fact that most of the time all they do is make a bigger mess by simply spreading the dirt rather than actually cleaning it up. This unit has a separate attachment that you add on when it comes time to mop which includes a separate tank to add your cleaning solution. While Roomba does make dedicated robots specifically for mopping, this unit still does a adequate job and actually cleans up the floors rather than just push the dirt around. Is it the best cleaning solution out there? No, however it does a very good job and will definitely leave a noticeable difference which can be helpful for those that are pressed on time. The special woven cloth greatly assist in making sure that all dirt and debris is picked up from the cleaning solution. And should you run out and need to re-up some supplies, all supplies can be easily ordered through the app. This is a great unit to have for those pressed on time looking for a little added help. Out of all the self cleaning robots out there Roomba is truly one of the best if not the best.

Protection to weather the storm

The Ring indoor/outdoor cam offers added security and peace of mind rather it be indoors or outdoors. The implemented rechargeable battery also insure a easier installation process as no wires need to be ran.
Out of the box you get everything you need to get you started including mounting hardware. If you do plan on mounting it to a wall or ceiling you will need some tools but nothing that should require a handyman's service. The camera comes with a micro usb cable instead of a usb-c which is a little disappointing and you will need to supply your own power block as you only provided with the cable and nothing else. Once you decide where you wish to place the cam you will then need to configure proper orientation by unscrewing it from the pivot and mounting it in the proper position. This is necessary as the app does not give you the option to rotate your orientation. Kind of weird considering my stick up indoor cams offer adjustments through the app, but not a big deal and a easy fix. Full charge took about 3 hours and im not sure if that's due to the battery or power block i was using. So far its been about 4 days and battery power has only dropped about 5% with Ring's suggested settings. You do have the option to run a dedicated power cable or you can always run a solar panel as well to help maintain charge. Audio and voice quality is as good as it comes, sounds such as birds chirping and what my kids were talking about in the background come in crystal clear with no distortion. Through the app you can talk to whoever is on the other side of the cam and voice quality through the phone coming out of the ring cam speakers was clear just as well. As someone who has had several different security cameras with ability to speak out of both ends i have always felt that Ring camera's shine brightly over a wifi connection with no drops or clarity issues. Now i have this set up in the backyard and was a little on the fence about it not having a spotlight to help assist with night time clarity but boy was i worried for nothing. Night clarity is extremely well visible and due to their built in IR lens zero light night time conditions are now a thing of the past. I have no concern with footages captured at night and i will upload some clips to show how night time vision looks. Daytime vision is even more amazing with everything coming in at HD quality. Some really nice features to make mention of are their zone modes and privacy features. You can set up zones to activate your motion this way you don't get too many false alerts from car's passing by or other such things. Privacy mode is a nice feature too as it allows you block certain things from being recorded and triggering motion. This means if you have it installed as a indoor camera you can block out certain bedrooms in order to maintain privacy. This also works for the outside as you block out your neighbors side of the yard in case they get uncomfortable with your cameras. If you have a Ring home alarm system then this cam can easily be paired up and linked to your other hardware and told what to do in the event certain criteria is triggered. All in all this is a great camera to have for those looking for some outside protection all without having to run wires. While the Ring camera's have always been a big hitter in this market it makes finding cons with this cam very difficult. If your in the market for some added peace of mind with minimal installation effort then do yourself a favor and pick up this camera right away.

Does the job
on October 26, 2023
Posted by: Crasher
The Thinkware F70 Pro is your standard run of the mill glass mounted dash cam with no real stand out features. And while it does a adequate job at what is was designed for, it really leaves something more to be desired for those looking to break away from mediocrity.
Out of the box you get everything you need to get you started including the installation tool, mounting bracket with cables, and a few different double sided tape mounts. Installation honestly is truly easy and requires no real tools as all you need to do is simply use the provided trim tool to easily push the cable in to the trim panels. The camera so come with a provided microSD card as well which will require an immediate firmware update. Speaking of firmware updates i thought i found it kind of strange to use a out dated method for updates. They ask that you upload the newest update via the provided SD card in to your home computer then transfer it from their site on to a zip file over to the SD card then unload it back in the dash cam. This method is not user friendly in the least bit for those of you that may be PC lacking in skill. And yes you can connect to the dash cam via "Bluetooth" but true connection is done via a shared wifi signal. And once connected it did give me the option to downloaded the latest firmware update saving me the hassle of having to go the PC route however try as hard as i did i was never able to actually accomplish the update. It kept timing out or would just completely drop out for no apparent reason. Anyways not a major deal breaker so moving on the next thing i noticed, and this may be not be any fault on Thinkware, but the unit did not shut off when i shut the vehicle off. The unit stayed on continuously recording everything forcing me to have to disconnect everytime i shut the car off. Speaking on the subject of recording, footage is stored in 1 minute increments and at least as of writing this review it can not be changed. If the unit detects impact or if you hit the record button located on the side of the dash cam you will get the first 20 seconds before and after said incident occurred stored, slightly expanding your record time. As someone who is a big believer in dash cams and owns several of them i can tell you this one minute record feature i hated and here is why. The footages are not looped together so all it does is create thousands of 1 minute clips on a saved file. Granted if there is a impact or you hit the record button it stores it in a different file to help with the clutter however your main viewing file is over ran with clips. Lets say you park your car to go the market and you come out and see a key mark across your car and you want to view the footage to see who it was. Your going to have to go through each and every individual 1 minute clip between that timeline to see when the incident occurred. Had it been just one continuous loop then scrolling through the footage becomes a breeze. Now where the catch is, is that you actually have access to more features if you pull your SD card out and upload it to your PC and utilize the features that Thinkware has provided for you. But at the end of the day i can honestly say there are other dash cams at this price point that provide a much better user experience and give you ease of use of their apps that provide the same features Thinkware provides by using your PC. The app feature also struggles quite often to connect with the dashcam. If you can't connect to the app then you lose the ability to change your features and view your videos on the fly. Night vision is by far the worst i have seen on a dashcam. During normal night driving, sure its fine, and thats due to all the lights coming off the cars and stop lights. However let's say you want to record at night to keep an eye on your vehicle, low light conditions suffer greatly and while my samsung phone can over come no light conditions with ease, this dash cam can not. If someone where to hit my car or damage it in anyway i would not be able to make out the perpetrator anyways. I will actually upload a still shot of a night camera recording on my vehicle so you can see what i am talking about. Daytime driving is fine and records in smooth HD quality footage with a wide angle shot.
All the features this dash cam has to offer can be easily read on Best Buy's website and i didn't want to take away from how it performs. For me this is a hard pass as there are several other dash cams at this exact price point or close to it that offer better features with a better working app. Ease of use on this cam may cause frustration for several buyers. I have no doubt that through future firmware updates im sure this dash cam can improve but for right now it feels very basic and the controls feel so clunky. It feels as if the app is still in its beta stage and the 1 minute clips with no option to increase them is very annoying to me. Just do some research before you dive head first in to this one. It does the job, but it does an average job.

For those on the go

The Yale Assure is a great smart lock for those that are always on the go and are left wondering, "did i lock the front door?" It says it all in the name, "Assure." You can be assured that your lock will always be set even should you forget.
Out of the box you get all the hardware necessary to get you started, and yes batteries are actually included. If you already have an existing deadbolt set up then installation is a breeze and can be completed in less than a half a hour. The lock does come with a free downloadable app, and while it may not be necessary it is highly recommend you download the app or else you will miss out on all the features that make this lock shine. Right away i like the smooth flush design of the keypad. The keypad numbers light up when you touch the bio-metric sensor and touch screen face is very responsive when inputting your security password. The lock does work with Alexa, Apple homekit, google home, airbnb and IFTTT. This lock really shines through the app features. Through the app you can set up auto timers which will cause the unit to automatically lock after a set time. For me i have a timer set up for one minute so that after a minute the unit will auto lock itself ensuring that my place of business or residence is always secure. The unit does come with a door sensor which you can choose to mount or not mount which detects door closure. If your door is not seated all the way you can opt in for push notifications which will send you a alert on your phone letting you know that door is not properly seated and the lock can not be set. Through the app you can see the status of the lock as well as lock or unlock the unit all through your phone. The lock does have a LED indicator as well as a audible tone which lets you know what position the lock is in. For example lets say your leaving your house and you press the one touch lock button, if for some reason the lock does not set properly the LED will light up red letting you know there was a problem as well as send you a push notification. The app does track history as to who and when the door lock was accessed and all entries and exits are time stamped and logged. Through the app you can also set up your password and even set up a biometric for your finger prints. I was a little worried about the finger print scanner being accurate as most are not however this finger print recognition is very accurate and i have yet to have one get rejected. You can also set up guess passes with there own password or finger print in the event that you have someone house sitting for you.
All in all in this is a awesome lock for families or people living with those of us that forget to lock the door. The reliability and accuracy of this unit is nothing short of amazing. Do yourself a favor and pick one up.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Your everyday Eco friendly laptop
on October 8, 2023

The Acer Vero laptop is your run of the mill mid tier everyday laptop that offers a smaller carbon footprint. The use of recycled plastics is very evident in the chassis build as it has a very thick and solid blow molded frame. And while it is very evident that Acer is trying to push towards a smaller footprint, this laptop may not be for everyone.
One of the very first things out of the box i noticed the box is the design. This is defiantly one of the thicker laptops i own but aside from that the plastic chassis gives that recycled look right away. Its basic, plain and simple. In my personal eyes it stood out, but stood out more as a eye sore. Im all for doing whatever we can to help leave a better place for our kids but that doesn't mean we have to sacrifice style. The keys are made of recycled plastic as well with a simplistic back light for those of us that work into the late hours. The 'R' and 'E' keys are reversed as a reminder to the "Recycle, Reduce, Reuse" mantra. Since i type at about 60 wpm i never look down at my keys anyways however for those of you OCD people just keep in mind those two letters stand out. Aside from the looks lets jump into how it performs. Brightness off the bat is very dull, and even with settings amped up and maxed out the display seems to just lack brilliance. Luckily performance is not hindered or held back. The intel I7 is actually very solid and able to easily handled most demanding task i throw at it. Streaming multiple platforms such as Spotify and Google Meets is handled with ease and low temps. Temps hovered right around 68°f throughout all cores and even while presenting videos temps never exceeded 70°f. Battery life is a different story with most full charges only yielding about 6 hours of run time with average settings. Can you game on this? Sure, although thats not what it is intended for. You can run most triple A games at medium settings with no issues and temps around 75°f. All in all this is a standard mid-level laptop geared for those in mind looking to make a smaller imprint on the environment. If you fall in to this category and are looking for a way to show your support while still being able to doing your daily needs then this set up is right for you. The price point is very fair considering the hardware that this laptop comes with. If 'STYLE' and performance is more your thing then id stay clear of this laptop.

The RIG 900 Max is the latest flagship in the series for the RIG line up, and while RIG has been for the most part Xbox driven, the added bluetooth with the combined wireless dongle means it will work seamlessly throughout other platforms such as PC and PS5.
Out of the box you get everything needed to get you started including the base dock. The wireless dongle allows you to stream your games wirelessly and also comes with a switch allowing you to move between PC and Console. The base station will act as both your charging dock and wireless receiver if you choose to go that route. I am a huge fan of dock style bases and one of the nice features about this particular base from RIG is that the wireless dongle plugs directly into the center of the base which allows it to act as both a charging station and transmitter extension all while also providing a place out of sight, for your wireless dongle to sit. The base station does utlize the standard USB-C charging port and you do get a provided USB-C to USB-A cable as well. The charging dock does have a nice solid led status light letting you know when the headset is fully charged. The RIG 900 comes with a flip down flip up mic. Mic sound quality is crystal clear and vocals come in with no issues on the other end. The sound quality of the headset is surprisingly good, and i mean real good. The bass is deep and full but never once overpowers my treble or highs. Since i have been hooked on Starfield lately the bass has added to a deeper immersion as i can hear the roar of the grav drive engines or chest thumbing blast from my firearms. As far as FPS goes the Dolby Atmos helps make this headset a fair competitor allowing you to be able to properly pick up direction and distance of certain sounds such as footsteps and gunfire. You can also download the free RIG app which also allows further customization to your EQ settings. One feature i noticed in the app in regards to the EQ settings is the added feature of "Expert Mode". Basically what RIG did was a provided a starting easy mode which is basically a 3 band equalizer which really helps simplify things for those that are audio challenged. Now if you don't fit in to that category simply select "Expert Mode" and you are now given a 10 band EQ set up.
I have to honestly say i personally have never been a big fan of the earlier RIG line ups. I have personally owned older RIG models and the biggest issue i have had with them was comfort and sound. The 900 series did such a amazing job that they are actually my new go to. The lightweight steel headband and self adjusting foam head strap mean i can play for hours on end without experiencing any discomfort. The deep earcups mean that just about all ear sizes should fit with no discomfort. Speaking of the foam earcups, for those of you that wear glasses this earcup is probably one of the better foam fitting pieces as they easily adhere to eye glass frames all without adding any more pressure to your head. And with the price point these headsets come in at, this truly should be an easy buy.

It’s easy to transform your home into a safe haven with SimpliSafe’s award-winning security system. Everything is simple to set up, effortless to use, and designed to do one thing only: keep your home and family safe. Outdoor security cameras let you see everything happening in full HD. So you can spot trouble before it comes knocking and capture the evidence if it does. And if someone tries to break in, the burglary sensors will sound the alarm right away. But that’s not all. Whenever your alarm goes off, we’ll call you and send police, firefighters, or ambulances to your door in a snap — and stay on the line with you until they arrive. So no matter where you are or what you’re doing, your home is protected 24/7.

How do the cameras attach to the house?

the outdoor cameras are attached via magnets to the base. The only item that requires 2 screws to mount is the base plate. Once the base plate is mounted then the cameras are attached and removed via magnets.

Do you have tonoay for monthly monitoring

you dont have to pay for a monthly subscription however keep in mind the free plan is very basic and i mean very basic. The free plan only allows for you to disarm and arm the system and allows the siren to go off if the alarm is triggered however they will not call the police and they will not allow for your video footage to be recorded. So it basically forces you in to a monthly plan but keep in mind there is no contract so you can cancel at any time.

does this camera system run on a 5g mhz speed wifi i have at&t fiber internet and my camera system that i have now BLINK only works off of 2.4 mhz speed .

Good question. On my Linksys it runs on the 2.4 band and as of right now there is no option on the Simplisafe app to move it over to the 5g band.

Can cameras be plugged into power while mounted to wall or do they have to be charged then put up. And pull down to charge when dead

So the wireless cameras can either be mounted wirelessly or hardwired in to a wall outlet. If you dont feel like charging the battery every month or so then you do have the option to wire them in as well. As far as charging goes the batteries are removable from the cameras so this way when it comes time to charge them you dont need to charge the whole camera unit just simply the battery pack.

Plug in a 3.5mm headset and take advantage of proven Turtle Beach audio features like Superhuman Hearing, Mic Monitoring, Signature Audio Presets and more. Win more with Pro-Aim Focus Mode, which tunes thumbstick sensitivity for enhanced long-range accuracy, and save up to four selectable profiles on each of the two, rear quick-action buttons. Play for hours in comfort thanks to ergonomic cooling grips and feel every vital gaming detail with next-gen vibration feedback in the handles and triggers.

What are the triggers like on this controller? Are they like normal Xbox controller triggers with a long pull or do they use any trigger stops for a shorter pull?

The triggers can not be adjusted as you would find on a Astro controller. As far as pull goes it feels very similar to a xbox trigger pull and has medium senisitivity. The pull is not short but does not feel long either. Most actions seem to activate after about pulling a 1/4 of a inch.
