I'm not a big fan of these types of movies, but at a bargain price of $7.99 for the pair I gave it a shot and was pleased with the results overall. While "28 Days Later" was just OK, I really liked "28 Weeks Later" which offered a more rounded, balanced approach to the subject matter.

One of the best movies of its kind I've seen in the past few years. An excellent script with some nifty twists and turns, some of which you may not see coming. Plus, superior acting from Bateman, Hall and Edgerton, as always. I very much liked the deliberate pace of the movie and how the various layers are slowly revealed.

Much Improved on Second Viewing

The first time I watched this I didn't like it primarily because the four main characters were all so obnoxious. However, on my second viewing, I had a completely different take on it, as I think I didn't really "get it" the first time around. I usually enjoy Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts and this movie is no exception, as the movie kind of grew on me.

If you're seeking a movie to engage your brain, this isn't it; on the other hand, it you're seeking a movie just to enjoy a good time with lots of catchy music and choreography, this movie will fill the bill and thensome. Could have done without the vomit scenes, which detracted from an otherwise pleasantly surprising experience. Thumbs up.

Despite its flimsy feel, this is a good, solid blu-ray player: excellent picture, outstanding upconversion of DVDs, quick loading, good remote and a better (easier to follow) menu system than prior years' models. Only one thing I don't like: There is no display on the player itself. Other than that, I really like this player.

Is this Sony BDP-S3700 Blu-ray Player the 2016 model which replaces the Sony BDP-S3500 2015 model? If so, are there any differences between the two models?
Yes, this is the new, 2016 model replacing the BDP-S3500. As I did not own the prior model, I do not know what the differences are with the new model. What I do know is that the BD-S3700 I own has performed flawlessly since I began using it about a month ago (and I use it for an average of 190 hours a month). It loads very quickly, plays beautifully and the price is right.

What setting do you use for 7.1 sound?
Cannot get 7.1 working. I must be missing in the setup. Help
I had the same problem, which the manual doesn't address. Finally figured it out: in the audio setup mode, the unit defaults to "Stereo." To get either 7.1 or 5.1 sound, you need to change "Stereo" to "Surround." That should do it.
